The cliff walk is gorgeous and the entire loop from the car park and back took 2 hours. The hiking level is medium in the beginning and after is easy. It’s definitely worth it.
Such a beautiful walk... Amazing scenery... An incredible gem in d gorgeous Ardmore ❤️
What a lovely spot for a wee walk ❤️ the views are breath taking, I would really recommend 👌
Absolutely amazing! Me and some friends made the hiking on a drizzle Saturday morning, and it was simply perfect! The walk takes you like one hour to complete, but we completed in two hours and some minutes - stopping to take pictures, eat some sweet blackberries and just look to the cliffs and reflect such great and perfect the nature are. You can stop during your journey to appreciate the huge views and also the little castle almost on the middle of the walk. I definitely recommend, you won’t regret!
Lovely walk with stunning views, calm vibes, and easy access. Not too busy, which is rare these days! Shame about the new fence — it’s not exactly a work of art — but the scenery steals the show.
Wow what a walk and what a lovely town! I think other reviews have already appreciated the beautiful views so I won't go into it but I can confirm that you can do this walk with a buggy too :) there are a few steps in the beginning where you will need to carry the buggy so if your kid is big enough to stand by the side you can manage. And also in the beginning there is a steep slope rising so I'd recommend 2 adults for pushing the buggy. But you will not regret for sure.
Must visit when you are in Youghal, it’s beautiful to walk in here , makes ur mind calm and relaxed ☺️
Short 2-3 mile loop around the stunning cliffs. We parked along the roadside near the beach for free. Walk has an amazing shipwreck, ruins, lookout tower and cemetery. Easy under foot. We also saw seals from the footpath.

A wonderful place for a walk along the sea at altitude. 15 minutes drive from Youghal. An amazing feeling of floating above the sea, along the path there are fresh herbs and flowers, far below there are small boats and buoys and waves playing with the base of the rocks. Immersion in nature and relaxation.
Very pretty n quite symbolic to Ardmore...history is quite interesting of St Declan... It's just on the entrance to Ardmore cliff walk ... Which is so beautiful 😍
Its right next to the cliff hotel. It is definitely worth the walk up as the views are amazing. I definitely advice to do it on a good day. And I wouldn't be bringing young children with me . As most of the cliff is not fence off. Which is very dangerous as you are looking over the edge. It is about 20 minutes to the viewing point which has a fantastic view which looks right out on to the sea. It's about a hour walk in totally around. I would definitely advice any one in the area. To pop up on a good day and do the walk as you wont regret it. As the views are fantastic.
A beautiful start to a lovely walk along the Ardmore cliff walk. An information board at the entrance with plenty of historical information about St Declan. Amazing views out over the water (on a sunny day that is 😂) Possible sightings in the sea.
This place is pretty cool.
This is on a cliff side walk starting near the Cliff house hotel. The walk itself is only about an hour but the views and fresh sea air are lovely. The well itself is really pretty and adds a little bit of history to the walk to complement this gem of a stroll. Word of advice though, in Autumn, Winter and spring wear good waterproof boots as it's a bit on the boggy side.
Amazing how the tree hasn't rotted with the water flowing around the roots lovely tranquil place to reflect
Absolutely stunning views on the cliff walk!!

I expected this to be a kind of silly spot just for kids but it had an incredible array of animals. There also seemed to be lots of fun activities for little ones. Both animal and non animal.
Brilliant zoo experience you get very close to the animals , actually far more interesting than Dublin zoo as there are playgrounds and indoor activities for children of all ages. And Capibarras too which are cool.
Beautiful place to bring the kids, or even just for a peaceful walk surrounded by animals. The views are stunning and the staff are really lovely. There are also plenty of activities for children, including karts, a soccer field, and foot golf.
Beautiful farm. Spotless, animals very, very clearly looked after, treated well & loved by keepers. Wonderfully kind, friendly & welcoming staff. Multiple fun activties for kiddies. Well kept playgrounds equitment & entire area over all. Lovely cafe, gift shop & indoor softplay. Handwashing facility right outside petting area a bounus 👏
Clear instructions from the staff explaining the direction to go and when petting times were. Loads of places for stop and rest along the way, right next to play areas for kids. Indoor soft play was great. Outdoor playgrounds were well maintained. There was also a few football activities which were enjoyed by the kids. Loads of different species and all were visible which was great. Fabulous view too out over the sea. We'll definitely be back.
Easy to get there. Plenty of parking, quick check in. The animals are well cared for, their homes and wandering areas are spotless. I've been three times, the kids love it
Really Good selection of animals, it is obvious they're well looked after
Great spot for a fun day with kids, loads of animals, indoor and outdoor playarea, they have good selection of food and drinks, only downfall is the state of toilets and baby changing area which is extremely dirty as well as the floors in the sitting area where they serve food. I had to change my baby at one stage and couldn't go back to the car so I had to do it there not pleasant at all very, very dirty. Extra care should be taken for this especially knowing they have so many kids playing around, eating and drinking. Too bad other than that the place is really cool.

Very tranquil place to visit, lovely views.
A wonderful location with so much to see, you have the round tower and a beautiful little church and a fins and well kept cemetery. Its well worth a visit and you will get parking no problem, cheers
Very cool historical site. The round tower was used as a bell tower to warn of Viking raids and protect the monks during raids. The Graves seem to date back to 300 AD!! Be prepared to walk on graves to see the sites. If that bothers you, it may not be for you. Best on foot as the road is TINY. You can park down the hill in town and walk up.
Beautiful location, who doesn't enjoy wandering round an old graveyard....?
Really quiet, beautiful place even on a rainy day. Tower is surprisingly tall and in really good condition. Many similar stone buildings around and walls. Found this place by accident. Not many shops near by but it's only 5 minutes off the main road from Cork to Waterford. Views are outstanding also.
Today was my second time to visit the Tower and monastery. The first time I walked from the beach up. It was a vertical climb up, while today I drove up with my parents and they couldn't do the climb. It's amazing to see this 12th century round Tower. There are benches to sit down and admire the view. Don't miss the ogham stones that are located in the monastery
Beautiful round Tower (which is surely one of the best in Ireland) and associated church buildings dating from the 12th. century situated on a hill overlooking Ardmore Bay. Very well tended site with gravestones dating from the mid 18th. century ( there are older ones but they are too eroded to be legible). An easy 5 or 10 minute walk from the village. Parking nearby on the road.
The Ardmore Round Tower is a historic landmark located in the seaside town of Ardmore in Waterford, Ireland. Although visitors are not allowed to climb the tower, there is still plenty to see and explore at this site. The tower is believed to have been built in the 12th century and stands at an impressive 97 feet tall. One of the most interesting aspects of the tower is its construction. It is made from local sandstone, with each block carefully placed on top of the other without the use of mortar. The tower is also home to an impressive set of bells, which would have been used to call the monks to prayer. In addition to the tower itself, there are several other historic sites to explore in Ardmore. These include the ruins of a 12th-century cathedral, a 9th-century round tower, and a 13th-century church. The town also has a beautiful beach and plenty of local cafes and restaurants to enjoy. Overall, the Ardmore Round Tower is a great day trip destination for families with kids. While climbing the tower may not be possible, there is still plenty of history and culture to explore in this charming seaside town.

An absolute joy of a shop in a perfect location.
Lovely products here. Definitely better than average
Wonderful array of exquisite crafts and paintings, astounding pottery pieces and a great array of books with local interest. The staff are helpful and warm and friendly. Just love this place.
A delightful shop with lovely gifts ranging from paintings to pottery to books. Sure to find something in here for that special event or someone. Well worth browsing if visiting the lovely seaside town of Ardmore made famous by St Declan.
Lovely gift shop filled with local pottery and other Irish craft. Well worth strolling through every time you visit Ardmore
One of the best shops I have been to all over the world! They have curated some of the finest Irish artists and makers. From sweaters and hats to artwork, pottery, children's items, jewelry - everything is absolutely gorgeous. If this shop was in my hometown I would fill my house with their goods.
Very cozy place! Excellent selection of art!
Lovely shop with lots of gifts to choose from such as pottery and paintings done personally by the owner. Usual hand knits crafts etc. Not very accessible for wheelchairs and is situated on a hill. However the view of the sea across the road is stunning and it's only a stones throw from the Cliff House Hotel.

Come here every summer for food, drinks. They have new picnic benches and parasols, bathrooms recently renovated they are also spotless. The kids love it, playing by the bug tree.. kids menu is great. Customer service is on the ball, couldn’t fault it.
From the very start our experience was amazing lovely friendly welcome ...we stayed for one night ...absolutely spotless very friendly staff ..breakfast was faultless very tasty ..the girls serving where lovely and helpful ...would really recommend this hotel ...we will be back ....
The service was fantastic the hotel was spotless but we decided to have dinner with 16 friends . None of us were happy with the main course. They looked amazing but the taste was definitely off.
Wonderful hotel with beautiful rooms and very pleasant staff. The hotel is located close to the Cliff Walk and the town, and we had a delicious dinner i the hotel restaurant. Absolutely would stay there again and highly recommend it.
Must update the photograph as this is a nearby graveyard and not the hotel, can't comment on the rooms as never stayed overnight but the staff and the service are great, food in the restaurant is top class, I drop in for an occasional breakfast.
Had a lovely stay here, the rooms are well appointed, beautifully decorated and comfortable. The food, breakfast and dinners, were delicious. The vegetarian Cauliflower Trio was delicious and pairs well with the Pinot Grigio. Ardmore is gorgeous.
It's just located outside the main thoroughfare of Ardmore. You'll typically always get a seat (just it might not be the seat you want). The bar itself is quite small, can seat around 25 people at a push, however it has an extended part that doubles as a dining space that can seat another 40 or so. As its a hotel, it has a hotel lounge for guests only but on a busy night, flexibility is given and this can seat another 15 or so. There's lots of seating outside too, so during a warm day, it's ideal. A pint of Guinness is €5.20, a bottle of lager (e.g. Heineken) is €5.30, pint bottle of Bulmers is €6.00, a pint of Beamish if you can stomach it is €4.50. Vodka is €4.50 and a mixer, e.g. Coke Zero is quite pricey at €3.90 for a regular size (200ml) bottle. The staff are friendly and if you're lucky, you might get a free packet of peanuts! Food is served in the summer months, all day every day. Lunch is between 1230 and c. 1430, dinner from 1800 until c. 2030. As with all food venues everywhere, stay away from certain dishes. Although it might sound appealing, stay away from the roast of the day, poor portion size, nuked and reheated. Veg is nice. All in all, nice spot, probably my preferred venue for a tipple, all things considered.
We had such a lovely stay at the Round Tower, the staff are lovely, dinner and breakfast was absolutely delicious, everything is so clean and airy, thanks to all for a lovely relaxing stay.

Beautiful quite beach. Spotlessly clean. There is limited parking so arrive early on a sunny day. There are public toilets. No nearby shops or cafe nearby. Would need to drive.
Beautiful beach, easy to get to, toilets on site and lovely and clean and tide dosnt coming in too far.
Nice isolated beach in this area, can get busy on weekends in nice weather but generally can be very quite for a nice walk compared to other beaches in the area. I've stayed on this beach in a tent, made a fire and did some beachcasting and myself and my friend didn't see another person for the whole day. Your not supposed to do that but no one will say anything. There are public toilets here but not sure are they open all the time.
Beautiful beach but you have to park on the road and it's a bit tight
Very nice beach but get there early. Sitting on a blanket with buckets and spades is a thing of the past now its blow up seats tents tables folding chairs gas burners kettles and the kitchen sink. Crazy stuff.🤪
Beautiful. Well worth the trip out from Dungarvan
Love this rugged beach. Lots of rocks as you first approach it from the steep slope...theres even a long seating area cut out of the rock face. A short walk over the pebbly stones, and you come to a lovely stretch of sandy beach. Lovely for a quick dip if you don't mind the cold!! Toilets in the small car park at the top of the hill. Just remember to bring your picnic!!
Lovely beach, seemed safe for kids with shallow water. There are toilet facilities and a small car park, although it was full we could easily park on the side of the road. Plenty of rocks to climb for the kids and they loved it. No shops or anything within walking distance so bring food etc. if needed.

If you like cows, you'll love this shop. Oh, certainly there are some non-cow artifacts for the bovine-challenged, but the main theme is definitely friendly cattle. There are paintings, prints, placemats, "cowsters", T-shirts and mugs all with cows on them.
