There is a lot of to see in this site, don't stop there for only a few minutes. We were part of an organized tour (Eshet Tours) which unfortunately was not a success. Our guide told us this camp was Mauthausen Camp which sounded to me inaccurate as the Mauthausen concentration camp complex is located in Austria, not far from Linz. It's only later that I found that this camp is the Ljubelj labor camp and is in fact one of 49 subcamps of Mauthausen. It was the only camp in Slovenian territory during the Second World War. Another disappointing failure of Eshet Tours was that we stopped there for only 15 minutes since our guide didn't think that the Museum, which was just a few minutes from this site, could be interesting. Nor did we visit the other parts of this site which are very close.. Please take the time to honor this place and remember.
Definitely a poignant reminder if what happens in history and why it's important to remember such things. Free parking on site. Free to enter. Some reading boards in English, French, Russian and German. Not much left of the original structures, but still you can picture it. It's in an idyllic setting. Only one in Slovenia. Recommend.
A haunting reminder of past atrocities. There isn't too much to see nowadays but still worth a visit for even a time of reflection.
Surrounded by impressive beauty of Alpine landscape lay the remnants which reminds us of the atrocity taken place here and all over Europe during the 1940's. Most of it is gone, solely the foundations can be found, as silent reminders. Absolutely worth a visit. If you pass through or visit Slovenia as a tourist, you should give it a visit with respect and remembrance.
Friendly staff, good food. The price and quality are excellent.
Nice view from here towards the alps.
(Translated by Google) A sad place surrounded by beautiful nature. Hard to imagine what horrors were happening in the shadow of the rock giants. Unlimited access to the memorial and the camp and no entrance fee. Clean and tidy everywhere. (Original) Smutné místo obklopené krásnou přírodou. Těžko představitelné, jaké hrůzy se děly ve stínu skalních obrů. Na památník a do tábora vstup bez omezení a bez vstupného. Všude čisto a upraveno.
(Translated by Google) Shortly after the border there is a parking lot on the side. I think I've driven past there 100 times and didn't know the camp was there. It's definitely worth stopping to take a look. Everything is also well described in several languages.

Excellent trails along the gorge some with one section where steel rungs are embedded in the cliff face along with wire handrails to help walkers. Lovely clean water. Be careful parking because you could get a hefty fine if you don't use one of the designated parking zones and pay via an app (or by using the machine at the info centre where you can pay with €uro coins).
You can explore this beautiful place with a short and not a difficult hike. Although currently (jan ‘24) the hike side of the gorge is closed due to a renovation.
Nice place. However would not call it super amazing.
Nice walking path and pristine nature, a cold alpine river in the gordge. Different walking paths in the woods or you can walk on the road.
This is very beautiful and colourful valley for family hike! A lot of natural attractions and plesent shades in woods.
It is one of the most beautiful gorges I have ever seen It is not to long and not to hard to walk all around
Amazing view, lots of beautiful waterfalls, fresh air, and perfect view on surrounding mountains. You just need to see it! 💕⛰️😍
Beautiful place, nature is making miracles..but is always good to see that sometimes we help this beauty.

Informative in both Slovene and English language, interactive for all ages, captivating exhibitions, unique ideas (shoes of famous people with stories!), small entrance fee and friendly repecption... what more do you want? Tip: park your car somewhere outside the center and come walking.
Completely unexpected! High-quality local museum with exhibits riveling the very best museums we have visited. There are areas focusing on topics with local relevance to the city including skiing, shoe making, fabric and textile making. Lots of videos and hands on activities for the kids. All set in a nice little town. Park on the main road through town and walk a few minutes to the museum as there really isn't parking at the museum itself.
This was the most lovely museum that I found out about almost completely by accident from a friend. The craft section of the museum highlights the trades of tanning, shoemaking, knitting, weaving, fiber production and indigo dyeing, with local history incorporated throughout. The exhibits were thoughtfully laid out for visitors of all ages. Can’t recommend this exhibit enough!
Great museum! Super interesting exhibits on skiing history, indigo dying, sock making and shoe making industries from the area. Highly recommend
NOT TO BE MISSED. The exhibition is very well set--up and organised. The route is designed to stimulate the curiosity of each target museum user. The collections of objects, illustrations, multimedia installations and sound effects, accompany and stimulate 5 cognitive senses and attention, giving cultural and historical importance to the traditions that belong to the place where we are. Questo luogo rappresenta un unicum
Great Museum! The exhibitions are designed in a great way, allowing for both fast, general overview of the subject and for in-depth look. Everything done with humor and attention to needs of both kinds and adults. After the visit, the city unfolded more of it's layers for us, and made the stay more enjoyable. I definitely recommend!
What a cool museum! We happened to pass by the museum and were positively surprised. In a small town like Trizic we would not have expected a museum with such an innovative and modern concept. Why were we the only guests? People take a look at the museum - it's really great!
Nice and interesting museum, exhibitions are about slovenian ski tradition and about old traditional shoemakers in this region. I recommend!!
