A place to visit, easy trekking if you are not fit enough! but it is a Must!!!
Easy hike even for those who are not experts. Once you reach the upper valley the panorama is incredible, the path is relaxing, there are secluded picnic areas and cottages with restaurants. Great hike for the whole family.
Awesome place. So pretty!
Beautiful! Worth the detour.
Tip top Chamoson 😁
(Translated by Google) The plain is reached via a very sunny mule track on the way out and completely shaded on the way back (1 hour and 5 minutes). Various trails branch off from the plain, with varying levels of difficulty and duration. Two hotels and a refuge are currently open. Before reaching the plain, at the end of the mule track, stop at the cheesemaker for a yogurt or to sample/purchase local cheeses. Avoid Saturdays and Sundays only because of the parking problem, which fills up at 9:30 a.m.; after that, there's room for everyone on the plain.
(Translated by Google) Once you reach San Domenico, continue for another kilometer until you reach Ponte Campo, where you can park your car in a paid parking lot (€5 per day). From there, take a fairly challenging trail that will take you to the Veglia plain in about 1.5 hours. This offers the possibility of a beautiful circular hike, and more. (Original) Una volta arrivati a San Domenico bisognerà proseguire ancora per un km dove si arriverà in località Ponte Campo dove si lascerà l'auto in un parcheggio a pagamento 5 euro al giorno. Beautiful area to take photos, go for a walk, and swim.
Carefull! Today we got stunned multiple times without reason by a huge (probably European but could also be an Asian-) hornet, at the spot of below pictures (up hill Marmitte dei Giganti, see circle). Could be defending a nest? The hike was nice, ~ 3KM , if you start from the Oratorio di Santa Lucia and follow below route.
Gorgeous place to visit. Ten minutes walk from Premia parking. Unique canyon and a great spot for a summer bath.
During the last glaciation (which ended about 12,000 years ago), the Antigorio Valley was occupied by the extensive Toce Glacier. Countless streams flowed downstream of it, which over time have eroded the rock, generating narrow valleys and meandering gorges. With the retreat of the glaciers, the streams also withdrew and left what are today the Orridi di Uriezzo. Currently, in fact, the watercourses no longer flow within them and it is therefore possible to visit them easily on foot. is one of the most attractive canyons in Piedmont
Stunning! Amazing place! I wish to go back!!!
The "Orridi di Uriezzo" are deep gorges "dug" into the rock by streams that once flowed from the glacier that occupied the Formazza Valley. The walls are carved by the swirling motion of water and violent waterfalls. In some places they are so closed to each other that you cannot see the sky, forming niches and grooves.

If you love a church be sure to put this one on your list, it's got it all and at a suggested 2€ for 15 minutes it's a bargain!
the church very old. need to pay for the enterance. start point hiking to uriezzo canyon
I didn't get the vibe here. but the morceleum looks pretty at night looking through gate but not worth making detour for. round the left of entrance through a tunnel is a good 1hour return walk to the gorge dont miss the left turn as we did and end up at bottom of valley
The chapel is giving a castlevania vibe.
This church looks like a rampart from far patrolling the valley against vampires and werewolves... Aw Snap this is not castlevania! So I would just say that is quite an amazing place! :-)
It was very good and there was some historical information in the church
My grandparents were married there.....it’s beautiful, imposing, pastoral......amazing❤️💚❤️So lucky to have visited🇮🇹💚❤️

(Translated by Google) I really enjoyed the activity they offered. I was a cheesemaker for a day. Luca and Vittoria were very knowledgeable and professional. I learned things I didn't know. I made my own cheese following their instructions and procedures, which I then took home. I felt part of the work they did and highly recommend it. There was an excellent tasting of their products, and an afternoon visit to milk the goats on their farm. Recommended for both adults and families with children. Truly interesting. (Translated by Google) Very nice and well organized experience. Luca, the very courteous and knowledgeable cheesemaker, told us the history of the dairy and a lot of information on the preparation of cheese. He also shared his life experience with us. We witnessed the preparation of the cheese in which we actively participated by creating 4 small tome which we then took home. Afterwards, a buffet was prepared for us with cured meats and cheeses produced by them, which were truly excellent (the hot ricotta was noteworthy). In the afternoon we went to see the goat farm where we tried the experience of milking and breastfeeding the little lambs. Returning to the dairy we purchased some products and collected our cheese creations. (Original) Esperienza molto carina e ben organizzata.

(Translated by Google) The cable car station in Goglio with frescoes on the Resistance in memory of a tragic episode. Now at the end of the experience of the partisan Republic of Ossola, while the Nazi troops reconquered this strip of land, some partisans sought refuge in nearby Switzerland trying to reach Alpe Devero with the cable car that leaves from the small hamlet of Baceno. About twenty of them climbed into the old cabin with some weapons and some food, which stopped halfway. The partisans became easy targets for the Germans. Some saved themselves by throwing themselves into the vegetation, four others were shot to death. The oldest was 31, the youngest 17.

Don Ruscetta was a lover of reptiles and a great connoisseur of nature, he captured vipers to extract their poison and deliver it to the Serotherapy Institute of Milan to produce the saving antidote. In the museum there is also a precious collection of ancient cavagnette: vertical compositions at the base of which there is a basket in which a sort of richly adorned tree rests.
