I recently visited Cadbury Garden Centre to pick up my aquarium from Maidenhead Aquatics, and I must say, the experience exceeded my expectations. As I made my way through different sections of the centre, I was increasingly impressed by its sheer size and the incredible variety of products available. This is more than just a garden centre—it's a paradise for plant lovers, home decorators, and anyone passionate about outdoor living. The selection of plants, garden accessories, furniture, and even home décor is truly outstanding. I couldn’t resist taking photos to show my partner, who is absolutely obsessed with flowers and plants. I know for a fact that we’ll be coming back together very soon! What stood out the most, apart from the vast selection, was how well-organised and clean the entire place was. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to offer helpful advice. It’s rare to find a place that combines such variety, quality, and excellent customer service all in one. If you’re into gardening, home improvement, or simply enjoy browsing beautifully arranged displays, I highly recommend a visit. Whether you need plants, furniture, aquariums, or expert guidance, this place has it all. I’ll definitely be back!
Magnificent place. Always amazing items. From great food, garden supplies, plants, organic products to handmade masterpieces. I Shop here every time someone special has a birthday.
If you want anything, literally anything, this is your place. Come with a full wallet and an open mind and you’ll fill the car. Was tempted by the entire fillet steaks (would probably chop into 10x individual ones) and the pictures of animals on the toilet.
I went into the garden centre today at around 1.13pm and I’m autistic and anxious.. this was my first time going in and the staff were very rude and not helpful when I asked for the toilet 3 times where it was.. they weren’t helpful or direct. I then met a man who was rude and I walked around to find the toilets and he said that’s the wrong way and didn’t help me or ask if I’m ok, I was crying and overwhelmed. And I walked out the garden centre and had a full blown panic attack and had to go somewhere else for the toilet. 🤦‍♀️😐
We only went to the front cafe and did not visit the whole centre today so this review is just based on the cafe. Parking is free and there are about 10 disabled spaces. The cafe was clean and well presented. The cakes were absolutely delicious, although came at quite a price! (just under £5 per slice of cake) The coffee was well made and very good. Plenty of seating. The only down side is that this cafe is quite some distance from the toilets, but if you were planning on walking round the whole garden centre then you are probably fine!
Loads to see, two lovely cafes, be aware it is worth booking softplay in advance. We didn't realise and missed out but luckily the fish acted as a great distraction.
Lovely large garden centre with ample parking. This garden centre stocks everything! Garden stuff, clothes, household, toys, books, animal products and is dog friendly! We mainly come to buy birthday gifts as there is such an excellent choice of goods. We avoid the cafe due to the price but love the new outdoor crazy golf which is good fun and well laid out. Tills are always well staffed. It is a really busy garden centre, so if you dont like busy places or noise it won’t be for you! We have visited around 10 times now on saturdays as our grandson loves looking at the fish. Something for everyone here but be prepared to spend money! Can’t wait to try their deli stuff next time!
What a lovely place...great variety of outdoor, indoor and bonsai plants. Clothes , shoes, pots and pans, candles and ornaments....and then there's something to eat!!! Cafe and patisserie serve lovely food at a reasonable price. Polite and informative staff....clean facilities. We will be back!!!!

Did one of their experience days with my Dad this weekend. Fantastic day. Learned a lot and enjoyed being able to hold the birds. Highly recommend a visit! I think we’ll go back to see the other animals at the centre on one of their open days if possible. A slight heads up, one of the flights of the birds involved having an owl fly to you and being able to hand feed it some raw chicken. The chap did ask if anyone wasn’t comfortable with touching the raw chicken piece. Normally I wouldn’t be comfortable without immediately washing my hands (which would have been impractical) but this was not my first bird of prey experience so I was prepared with sanitising hand wipes. But it was good of them to check everyone was okay with it. Just something to consider if you’re going to do an experience and are a bit icked out by that part.
Had an AMAZING time here, went for my best friends birthday and did the Rare and Endangered animals experience and got to handle and see lots of amazing animals, including the baby foxes! The staff member guiding us was super friendly and lovely, and it was well worth the money spent. Would 100% come here again.
An absolutely fantastic afternoon spent doing the owl experience. Plenty of opportunities to hold and interact with the different owls, lots of information given to us about them and it was amazing to see them up close. Highly recommend! Thank you for such an enjoyable experience!
Great little centre with a variety of birds and other animals. The staff are well informed and approachable and the cost is definitely a bargain for what you get It's only open to the public for specific experiences and days so you must buy your ticket in advance.
We visited for a 2 hour owl experience. It was amazing. We got to handle 5 different sorts of owls and flew 2 of them. The centre manager led the session and was super knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I'd recommend this unreservedly.
Absolutely fantastic experience. The knowledge and facts known by the young man taking us through the day was incredible. We got time to hold and learn about lots of different owls and birds of prey.
Absolutely fantastic experience at the North Somerset Bird of Prey Centre’s opening day! We had such a brilliant time today — from the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the incredible birds in their care. The flying displays were an absolute highlight — getting to see owls, falcons, and eagles up close was truly unforgettable. It was clear how much care and respect goes into looking after the animals here. The team took the time to answer questions and share fascinating facts about each bird, making the whole visit feel really personal and engaging. The atmosphere was relaxed, family-friendly, and well-organized from start to finish. This is an amazing place doing important conservation and educational work. Highly recommend to anyone who loves wildlife or just wants a unique day out. Can’t wait to come back again soon!
Did the meet the animals experience this morning. Woody was an amazing guide, incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. Had such a great time, a choice of birds we could handle but they introduced us to all of birds on site. Fed the foxes and Armadillo, held the kookaburra, ferrets and bearded dragon. We loved it, great value for money and we will definitely be back. A wonderful place that everyone should visit.

Me and my friend recently came back from a two night stay at the Hilton Cadbury house which we originally booked through spa breaks. It was such a fab trip and great deal, such amazing value for money too! The hotel staff are incredibly friendly and worked so hard to make our stay the best it could possibly be. They even went the extra mile and brought a bottle of Prosecco to our room which was complimentary which was so kind and really special. The spa facilities are great and I even did a morning spinning class which was taught by Graham who was fantastic! Such a great start to my day! We both had treatments, my friend had a facial and I had a full body relaxation massage and we were both so impressed by these. Ellie was the lady that did my massage and she was absolutely incredible, I’ve never felt so relaxed in such a long time and she even put a hair mask in my hair and a lotion on my pack to help relieve tension from my muscles, her technique was amazing and I was so impressed, she was so skilled! The food that we had both nights were amazing and the breakfast was great too, the hotel is beautiful and facilities are lovely. Overall it was a really really lovely stay, what stands out is the staff and their hard work and I cannot wait to stay there again!
Gorgeous location for a friend's long-awaited wedding. Having never stayed at a Hilton before, it was something we were looking forward to. The service and location didn't disappoint, the grounds were lovely; fountain, pond, lots of photo opportunities for a special day. There was plenty of parking and every person, from front desk to cleaning staff was so nice. Four stars for the room due to the random razor left in our shower, which we didn't notice at first and was clearly from the previous guest. This was reported and the front desk asked if we wanted housekeeping to sort it but by that time we were nearly checking out. Hopefully this was just an oversight while cleaning and not a reflection of the standard overall. We would certainly consider Hilton again and have signed up to their members emails.
I love the concept of this hotel. It's an idyllic hotel in the perfect location, but when you look on the inside there are some things that aren't so perfect. The beds are awful - hard as a rock and I woke up every morning with a sore back, not having slept well at all. The floor honestly would have been more comfortable. How the floors are numbered is also quite confusing (ex. a 400 room being on the 6th floor). The shower was very goofy as there was no door or curtain, it was almost completely open so anytime you showered, water got all over the floor which is an accident waiting to happen. The hardest thing about staying here, though, were the events being held causing a lot of noise. There was one night where a wedding party carried on past 2am - it seems there are no quiet hours or respect to guests. I do understand this is a great venue for weddings, but either there needs to be better soundproofing or quiet hours in place especially since this hotel is near enough to an airport to assume folks may be traveling. Some things they did well here were housekeeping - they refreshed our room every night and changed our towels which was much appreciated. Room service was quick, the drinks were delicious, and the food was restaurant-quality. The Marco Pierre White restaurant was delicious, reasonably priced, and had a good variety for any picky eater. Overall, I don't know if I'd stay here again, but I'd definitely hold an event here if I were in the area again
Highly recommend. Spa is very well equipped. Could have spent all day there. And the hotel itself is comfortable with really helpful staff. The Marco Pierre White restaurant is overpriced and doesn’t live up to the hype that the numerous moody black and white portraits of MPW strewn all over the walls suggests, but the three course set menu they offered was reasonable. Breakfast was great. Would return.
We visited for my in-laws vow renewal and 40th wedding anniversary. They chose the venue as it’s where they met and holds sentimental value. The rooms for the celebration were beautiful as was the food. The majority of the staff couldn’t have been more kind and helpful except the management that we encountered. The day manager Paris was extremely rude and unnecessarily confrontational during our celebrations and really upset us, putting a grey cloud over a special day. We then spoke to Louis the night manager who basically asked ‘what do you want me to do about it?’ and was completely uninterested in offering so much as an apology. Not the responses or behaviour you would expect from management at a 4 star hotel. The other staff do remarkably well to give such great service when led by appalling management.
I’ll give this a 1 star rating. Me and my wife were really looking forward to a spa day here! The spa wasn’t too bad all though there were children in there screaming the whole time and also an aqua aerobics class going on but after a while it did quiet down and the spa was good. However, once we finished the spa. I had realised my trainers went missing from the changing rooms. After looking everywhere and searching every locker, informing the staff etc. it became apparent that my trainers were stolen! These weren’t any old trainers they were very expensive and also a gift from my wife a few days before. As they hold sentimental value and not to mention the fact they were limited edition Adidas NMD trainers, I was obviously upset. I can’t hold the blame on the venue, All though this is clearly an example of what sort of customers/members this place attracts. I left with no trainers and it really ruined the whole day for us. I want people to be aware that this does happen here, so keep your belongings safe. To the man who did steal them, you’re disgusting and really need to have a word with yourself and I hope you enjoy them. Cheers then.
Me and my wife went for a spa and lunch day. We had a great time, it was clean, organized and lunch was great. The only disappointment was that my wife wanted to buy some products from the spa shop. Their were two ladies behind the counter and we were told (in an irritated tone) to come back later as they were to busy on the phones. Surely they could have one person serving customers whilst the other on the phone. Besides the fact that a sale was lost here, my wife now feels uncomfortable approaching this desk again and asked me to go somewhere else next time
Bad experience overall. They first tried giving me a disabled room (booked executive) that had a non-configurable shower head at around 4.5 foot with a disabled chair. I'm 6 foot 3 inches. Made a drama when I asked to change rooms. Mattress is about 3 inches thick. Uncomfortable. Room service is unavailable 24/7 despite being advertised as so. They don't sell drinks past 11pm, even on room service, although they literally advertise the drinks as 24/7 in the rooms. Basically it's a Premier Inn in a fancier location.

Visited 30/11/24 for my mothers 50th birthday and was certainly not disappointed! Upon arrival we were greeted by Friendly staff, warm welcome, free parking as part of package - wash handed a robe and towel (you only get 1 so may want to take a spare) flip flips you do need to purchase if you havnt taken your own (we didn't as as being only a size 4 and 5 the XL would of been dangerously too big this could maybe be changed) however wasn't an issue as just wore our own shoes to dinner and to walk out the back, Had dinner in the restaurant marco pier Beautiful food, again warm welcome and Jamie made it very special! Recognised my mothers birthday, explained the menue well - gave recommendations and was just overall the highlight of the restaurant experience- he defo needs some recognition relaxing spa - had a back, Neck and shoulder massage which was beautiful! Asked if there was any areas to focus on and made me feel very relaxed/comfortable being our first massage, Gifted a spa products set due to a mix up of not being put into couple room as booked, but the gift was a pleasant surprise! And so was quickly addressed and dealt with, spa facilities are very clean and kept together, ALL jacuzzies, steam rooms, saunas etc were working completely fine, they do run on a 6 minute intervals, changing rooms even showed the footie, spent a total of near 6hours here and could of easily spent longer, left feeling like new women, will defo be returning! And my mums 50th was made very special! Thank you!
Such a shame, I had never been before and was looking forward to a bit of luxury. On arrival the staff were ‘OK’ 🤷‍♀️ walking through reception into the changing area was unimpressive, it felt as basic as a council run venue. In fact some council ones are nicer! The changing rooms were equipped enough but VERY tired and in need of an upgrade. The pool was small and lacked lustre. The sauna slats were crumbling, a few had been replaced but they all need replacing! The decking around the outside jacuzzi all splintered. Some tiles missing on the seat inside jacuzzi, mould in grout and an absolutely shambles of a mess where someone grouted the tiles!!! The food was surprisingly bland for Marco Pierre White! But acceptable. I think the best thing was tye spin studio, main studio and gym area, although I didn’t use these but had a peek inside. Such a shame and so glad that I didn’t pay full price as we used a Groupon Voucher. I did have a massage which was very relaxing, however a neck, back and shoulder should be exactly that. No shoulders or neck were massaged during that process! Sad to give this review as I always give credit where credit is due, unfortunately no credit from me here @The club and Spa.
My partner booked us a Groupon deal which gave us access to the facilites, the “light lunch” and a 55 minute hot stone massage for £197. We were under the impression that we could order drinks to the outside adult terrace area however the QR code links weren’t recognising the table numbers so I had to go upstairs to order them and take them down myself. I was also confused as the same girl who took my order and suggested I take the drinks down myself soon followed me out and hand delivered 2 other people’s drinks … Downstairs / adult bar - or atleast table service - would be amazing! Lunch - it wasn’t super busy for a bank holiday however we were told that they were very short staffed today. Unfortunately there was a mix up with our order and it wasn’t put in. We waited over an hour for food which was inconvenient as we could have continued using the Facilites, however the gentleman working today was very apologetic and made up for it with some complimentary drinks / knocked off charges which we really appreciated. Food was good, not amazing. My carbonara was nice but not piping hot . My partners burger was mediocre. Garlic bread a little doughy. But the Prosecco they serve is lovely. The locker rooms and inside swimming pool area could do with some updating in my opinion, particularly the flooring and indoor pool seating areas. Also lots of kids which is fine but no adult only pool. There is however a very small outdoor sauna , jacuzzi and relaxation room for adults only . They need to sort out the Aircon machines in the relaxation room as they made noise every 30 mins or so and did disturb us a little, but we really enjoyed the space and even had a nap after lunch. We had a really lovely couples massage from Becky and Elena. I’d return for the upstairs spa treatments but I wouldn’t rush back for the other facilities.
We had a very disappointing experience today. Our food took about an hour and a half to arrive today, and my pizza arrived without half of the ingredients it said it would come with, and when question they gave us waffle saying it was blended into the pizza and not visible. My sisters pasta took an additional half an hour to come, and when she asked if it was coming the server said “do you still want it”. Even though one of the meals was refunded, it was a disappointing experience, and the restaurant does not match up to the rest of the facilities at all.
VERY WELCOMING,STAFF POLITE,CLEAN AND TIDY.GREAT PLACE 2 RELAX,FOOD BRILL 😲👍🥂🥂
Where do I find the positives with this Club Spa? My family had booked a package for lunch, massage and spa facilities. We planned to have lunch then move onto the spa, but the experience of the restaurant was enough. Wrong order for the drinks, I was not able to order anything from the brunch menu (increasing my spending) even though the menu stated from 9am to 4pm this was midday! I ordered the burger, which came incomplete with cold chips. The Gents toilets had not been cleaned, the general conditions of the restaurant area is dirty (dust, window sills and floor dirty), and the general condition is poor. The final straw was when my unhappy partner explained our experience to a member of staff, she was brushed off. This was certainly not a relaxing and calming environment, The Club falls way below the standards you would expect from an establishment of this nature. I will be pursuing a refund, but do not hold any hopes of a positive outcome. I recommend you avoid this place until improvements are made.
Terrible!!! I took my mum for a special day to celebrate her 80th , the day spa was not a cheap experience but felt it would never the less be special and something we never do . The staff were OK but not greeted with a happy fibe , the day was ok but nothing that screamed luxury. Aweek after our day spa to my horror I got £100 parking fine for parking in their carpark even though I paid on arrival the required parking price .I hv phoned cadbury house 5 times now who said they would sort it , nope !!! I'm still phoning and still no correspondence from cadbury house to say this has been sorted with only 2 days left of the time needed from the fine . This was supposed to be a relaxing experience and all it's caused is stress . Every time i phone im told someone will get back to me , but again nothing .Cadbury House you should be ashamed to advertise yourself as a well being luxury experience as it's clearly not .
A group of us did the spa and lunch experience and was so disappointed. The jacuzzi decking out side was falling apart, the "relax" room had people with the loudest whispers chatting away all day, the online food/drinks order system didn't work (2pm is a long time to wait for lunch!), the staff were unattentative and rude at times, there were no treatment times available other than during our pre-booked lunch, and to top it all off the lunch (a club sandwich) was the driest chicken bacon baguette I've ever had. They do however have one of those spin dryer things for your swimmers in the changing rooms. So I guess not all bad....

Had a great time at the chocolate workshop, booked as a gift by my son. Lisa was so friendly, and very knowledgeable, and made sure we all had fun, and the chocolate we made and came away with was lovely. Highly recommended.
Well where to start with The Chocolate Tart? Roped in as an extra to someone else’s Birthday treat I was not entirely sure what to expect. So I figured anything with chocolate must be fun and went along with the plan. What transpired can only be described as an incredible festival of fun and just enough education about chocolate’s finer points to make me feel more complete as a person. Lisa who runs the show is not only clearly a chocolatier of the highest order but also a very charming fun and entertaining host who manages to pass on her knowledge and skill without any airs or graces just a really engaging and friendly manner. If you can manage a trip to this neck of the woods and let’s not forget it’s within easy striking distance of both Bath and Bristol either of which makes a great little city break then I suggest you book without delay before some Arab prince snaps her up to train his personal chefs in the art of creating wondrous chocolates the like of which the world has never seen! Which reminds me we made some wondrous chocolates ourselves from little discs (they have an official name I can’t remember) decorated with all sorts of exciting toppings to delicious truffles and decorative colourful crafted objects d’art. Well mine showed some lack of the artistic skill but under Lisa’s tuition they were not entirely awful. Surprisingly there was not such a tremendous compunction to stuff my face with chocolate all day as I planned, I mean worried about having. No fears for anyone on a diet therefore. You are too busy to guzzle and this is real chocolate anyway not that fat laden stuff they sell on the high street. Anyway make no mistake if you want a perfect gift for family, friend or colleague this is it. If you want a team building experience or friends day out this is also it. It’s fantastic and there’s even a book you can buy that features the chocolate tart although she will happily email you her recipe too. Thank you Lisa....we will be back!
I attended my aunties Hen do at the chocolate tart on the weekend, it was so much fun and really enjoyable for all ages, I would highly recommend! Lisa was lovely and so welcoming as well 😊 We definitely indulged in our fair share of chocolate too, Thank you for making her day so Exciting! 🍫
We had brilliant time here doing the 3hr chocolate workshop. We had loads of delicious chocolate to bring back which we had great fun making. Lisa was an excellent teacher who was very kind and helpful while also passing on some fantastic knowledge. Throughout the class we got to try different chocolates including some delicious treats she had made the previous day. The location and kitchen was perfect along with a nice group size. Highly recommended and I'm sure we will be back!
I have been to a number of workshops at The Chocolate Tart. Lisa is a real gem and seriously knows her stuff, each time I visit there is something new to learn. The company is great and the chocolate is Devine, It always proves to be a relaxing workshop where laughs and good chocolate are guaranteed! Lisa hosted a chocolate workshop children's party for my daughter last year which proved to be a big hit with all the girls. They came away delighted with the most beautifully crafted chocolate that they were all so proud and stunned they had made. Looking forward to the next workshop, would highly recommend!

My daughter's enjoyed they're first lesson, it's such a beautiful place. We've booked lesson number 2 🐴
Since Comimg to urchinwood, they have helped me so much with my confidence as well as my riding and I have definitely improved so much. Highly recommend this lovely stables
Fantastic facilities, and friendly staff. My son loves his lessons - the instructor makes the lessons very varied and fun.
Poor communication and abrupt trainers. We arrived for first lesson and no signage where to go so went to the office and eventually called round to the arena entrance. Had to pay for the lesson (obviously) then pay a further £5 to hire a tatty worn hat - not even included in the price. Daughter didn’t want to go back which says it all.
My daughter has been going to Urchinwood for several months now. She's regaining her confidence after a couple of bad falls. Her main instructor is Amelia who has been excellent: sympathetic and encouraging while gently encouraging my daughter to be bolder. As a result her riding has improved more in the last 6 months than the last 6 years.
took my daughter who is on the autism spectrum but is at college and has been to disabled riding classes at Avon Riding Centre. we told them she has ridden on and off since age 6 (now 19) and when riding last (about 2 years previously) was happy in classes where they were doing rising trot and managing the horse themselves. My daughter had two 30 minute private lessons. For the first lesson the tutor, Andrew, walked her up and down the track holding the horse's rein. The next time, after my daughter asked to have a more interesting lesson, he took her into the indoor arena where she had a few minutes of trotting but mostly walking. He said that he and the horse had to get to know what she could do but she felt that he disliked her asking to do more than just sit on the horse. The horses looked well cared for but the tutor didn't engage with my daughter in a fun, friendly way, and she doesn't want to go back.
Absolutely fantastic place it was on my wish list to ride a horse again but with my weight I didn't think I'd be able to do it but they allowed me to have a ride and it was fantastic. The lady that walked around with me I'd like to say a very special thankyou for making one of my wishes come true . Thankyou
My Daughters "Save Haven"!!! Her love of Horse riding.... But most importantly, the Love and Dedication, of the Fantastic Staff at Urchingwood... The Encouragement, Devotion , Amazing!!!
