Ladies Mile Beach is hands down our favorite beach in Cyprus! It’s always clean, well-maintained, and perfect for families. The calm, shallow waters are ideal for kids to play safely, and the beach is serviced with sunbeds, umbrellas, and nearby restaurants, which makes the whole experience super convenient. Whether you’re there for a relaxed day in the sun or just a peaceful walk by the sea, this beach never disappoints. Highly recommended!
Nice beach with a safe ocean level, not crowded, enough parking spaces, clean sea, morning and evening time it's more beautiful and you can enjoy the snacks party with family and friends in the car 🚨
Very nice place to have a day with the family. Best beach in Limassol. Free entrance, only 10 eu per sunbed.
Great little beach with a number of bars and resturants dotted down it . Soft sand and shallow water makes it ideal for the kids to play safely. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. Only negative is the dirt track road you have to drive down to access the beach by car!
The beach is very large and has several beach resorts, the water is clean, it is a bit windy. If you have time I recommend you to do a complete tour of the Akrotiri peninsula, around the Salt Lake, because there are some particular and beautiful landscapes.
Well its a nice beach 🏖️ not too deep but with sea currents which is dangerous. Also when weather its windy the sand it's all over you in your face etc. Recently almost all the restaurants (except two i think )where renovated.Just knows its too expensive and maybe some off them its only for younger people...
Sod the beach and head to the salt flats! Take your shoes off and go running in the crystallised mud.. it's amazing.
Relaxed vibe and beautiful coastline! Lady’s Mile Beach is perfect for a peaceful day by the sea. The long stretch of sandy beach, shallow clear waters, and gentle waves make it ideal for families and swimmers. Plenty of beach bars and restaurants nearby, yet still feels calm and uncrowded. A great spot to unwind just outside Limassol!

Interesting place to visit and likely to be quiet as it is off the beaten track, not somewhere you would stumble upon. Recommend driving there. Otherwise, it’s well looked after and a peaceful sanctuary to take a break. Obviously there are cats everywhere, most are curious and friendly and this would be the reason to visit. There is a table of goods, perhaps locally derived and is run as honesty payment for anything you take. Doesn’t take too long to see most of what’s here but you could just sit and take in the peace. Good parking area
Called in after hearing about all the cats here to see for ourselves. It's free to enter, they do close for lunch and may lock the gates to eat in peace, so be aware of opening times. There is a table with various gifts for sale and an honesty box for you to leave payment. Plenty of free parking and as soon as you get out of the car there are cats all over and are likely to come up to you straight away. Next to the car park are some cabins where the cats live, interesting to look at and see how the cats are looked after. The place is tranquil and serene and a nice place to reflect. With great views of the Trodos mountains. Not much to see here but if you like cats, plenty of cats then this is the place to visit.
A lot of cute and friendly cats! The Monastery itself is nothing special, but 10/10 for the cats. There also was a bird that was meowing, but it was inside so we didn't see it.
Cats cats cats. Worth a visit if you’re around Limassol. Lots of cats to pet, cuddle and feed. Free entry to the monastery but access is limited. There were gifts available to buy in the courtyard. The cats are mostly all neutered. They have plenty of food and water around the grounds. Nice opportunity for some cat cuddling. Please take your rubbish home with you.
It's a monastery alright, but the main attraction are really the kitties. I'd guess 100 at least, probably more like 200. If you come, bring some food and lots of time to pet them all. If you don't have any food, at the parking you can throw a coin in and food comes out. Take some out and being it to the others that aren't camping the parking space. Even if you're near the monastery, e.g. on the salt like trail, you'll find lots of kitties. For the feline lovers, this is heaven!
Small monastery located on the Akrotiri Peninsula, which is best known for its many cats living here. There is no such thing as much to see. The sale of souvenirs and local products will probably support the supply of the countless stray cats living here. A must for every cat lover and animal lover.
Honestly loved it. If you love cats this is a must visit. There are so many and they are all so cute and want to cuddle. They are well taken care off so they are not after your food. You can use a euro coin to give them some food in the parking lot, but there was some there already and they didn't lunge for it or anything, they just want attention and love. Monastery itself is not that interesting. You can buy some souvenirs with cash only using an honor system. You leave cash in a tin. I happened to have some cash so I brought back some jam:). If you don't care about the cats, no reason to come here. Otherwise definitely come!
Nice place to visit. Cats seemed well cared for. Check under your cars when leaving, the cats seem to like the shade.

Nice place, take care when taking photos - RAF military base is close. From November till March it is a chance to see flamingos🦩 Parkings are available close to the road. Going around the lake has no bigger sense because it might be hard to find a proper road on the other side - it goes through the dry part of the lake partially.
Limassol Salt Lake is well worth a visit. There is a visitor centre on the way to it that makes viewing the lake easy and it also has facilities for you to use also. The area around it is home to a lot of wildlife and I recommend checking it out if you're in this area of Cyprus or passing through.
During our visit to Limassol Salt Lake, we did spot flamingos, but only from a considerable distance. The water level was quite low, with much of the lake dried out. The resulting cracked earth landscape is quite striking and adds a unique visual aspect to the area. While the flamingos are a bit elusive, the overall scenery still offers an intriguing experience
Genuienly was a waste of a stop. Likely jist came on a bad time of year but it was just a dried up lake. No wildlife and nothing to see.
Stunning salt lake. Visited in summer when completely dried, but still a beautiful experience driving and walking in the slighty muddy and hyper salty ground. Must be awesome populated with migrating birds!
Flamingos can be found here, you may need good zoom or optics to see them.
Bro I see him who is bird but stand on a leg but one leg not two leg same time is very cool! Many great bird pink like Color. I make pursuit of this bird but it make the great commotion and ran away. I like this place is very solt. Understand?
Beautiful, but difficult to find a way by car to get close without getting stuck

The Akrotiri Marsh is the ultimate relaxation spot for nature enthusiasts and animal lovers. It’s my favourite place for relaxation in the city! Also has an amazing spot for birdwatching.
Akrotiri marsh lies within Akrotiri peninsula which is a British base area used for military operations. The marsh has more or less been preserved in its prime condition and local flora and fauna thrive in the area. Some parts have been fenced off though and cattle is reared. Take care while driving since the road is narrow and winding.
If you’re looking for peace and you don’t mind the smell, this is the best place for you! Friendly dwellers 🐂 are welcoming while they are comfortable in their own space. 💩🙊the nature there is so peaceful and quiet. 💚
Picked up 3 lifers, in two visits, Great spotted Cuckoo (Juv), White throated Kingfisher, and Little Bittern. Utterly delighted, seen from the tall hide as you arrive from the Eastern side. Many Thanks to the custodians.
Very peaceful and beautiful place to watch the local nature in the Cypriot marsh lands.
Beautiful place!! Something completely different from what you can see in Cyprus.. Loved it! Great work from people taking care of this place.. 🧡 Nature!!
The marshes themselves are nice but whoever is responsible for leaving these poor donkeys tied up on the marsh land with no shade or water is not nice! Have been down there with water for them today and two days ago and all 3 drank the buckets dry. Breaks my heart and not a great advert for Cypriot tourism.
Just looking at the poor skinny animals makes me not want to go there and I'm shocked by the 5-star reviews with the pictures of starved animals saying the place is "full of life". What's wrong with people? Is there no connection with nature at all no mercy?

Small but has lots of information and displays on the ecology of the area. Well maintained and great for viewing the birds.
The Akrotiri Environmental Education Centre is well worth a visit. Easy parking on site and a friendly welcome greets the traveller and there is plenty to see and explore inside. There is a superb view of the massive salt lake nearby the centre which is quite something to see so if you're after a great viewing location for the salt lake this is a good spot. Highly recommend a visit.
Absolutely amazing place, I love it! It's calm, peaceful and relaxing here. I think I would like to be there more often 🧡
If you want to see flamingos, don't go anywhere else, since there are no roads or paths to see them closer than here. There are 4 monoculars, where you can observe them, and it's all for free. I was lucky enough to see hundreds of flamingos, it was late March and were still here. Definitely recommend!
Lovely stop for young children to learn about the animals and habitat around the salt lake. There are lots of interactive activities inside the well-maintained centre. We especially like using the provided telescopes to try and spot wildlife.
This place is free to enter and also has a few parking spots for free. They have tried to depict the ancient life in this region including flora and fauna. The highlight for me in this place is the outdoor deck where one can watch the flamingo's in the salt lake via telescope. This is an amazing view and if you are in the right season do not miss this. The staff here are friendly and answered our questions patiently.
It's free to enter and the staff are very nice. We were able to see the flamingo on the salt lake using the telescopes on the balcony
It was a very interesting place. The information on the wildlife and the salt lake. The number of birds are overwhelming. They had numerous students there teaching them.

Nice little beach. Park your car at the tiny church and go further by foot, the sea and the Shipwreck are a 15 minute walk, you can't miss it.
One of the best experiences we had in Cyprus! The water is very rough but some parts of the beach have these huge flat and non slippery rocks that you can lay on and enjoy the waters. 100% would recommend!
Certainly an off road experience to get to this and watch out for the sand by the edge of the sea as you sink fairly quickly. Over all experience was great fun driving there, very isolated, never saw another person. Beautiful clear blue sea and of course the shipwreck. Worth a visit
Nice place, worth a visit, can drive down there water wasn't too deep this time of year. Just make a not of the way you came in. Seen a few people driving back and forth trying to figure out how to get out haha.
I was nervous coming up here because there isn’t a path marked out on Google so I didn’t know what to expect. But thank God for these helpful Google Reviewers who helped alleviate my worries, so I’m returning the favour! First off: don’t worry, it’s all fine and very manageable even with a normal car. It’s truly very secluded so the more you drive there fear sometimes creeps into you. But it will be worth it - though make plans to get out of there before the sun completely sets so you don’t have to struggle out in darkness. Time your journey well. Now, first, route your way to the St. george’s church that’s beside this. Some people say you can park your car and walk, but you can actually also drive. It is a dirt road but it’s actually not that terrible, just watch the ground as you drive there’s occasional little holes but nothing unmanageable. Use common sense to drive towards the sea. There isn’t a straight road so you might need to meander a bit, but you’ll get there. Just note that where the main shipwreck is there’s a lot of these pebbles, so obviously drive with caution once you’re there. I’ve uploaded pictures to show you the dirt road and the pebbled part so you can get a sense. I didn’t go close enough to the shipwreck cos I wanted to be able to get out before sun completely sets, but I’d definitely want to go back there again. It felt so serene and silent. Enjoy!
Shipwreck as advertised, super quiet stony beach with no facilities. You will need to do some offroading to get there but worth seeing. Wreck close to the beach so you can just swim to it.
Very nice place near limassol town to enjoy the shipwreck and maybe swim for persons that's know very well swimming. Be careful with the road because is unknown road. Prefer to go when the weather is good and the road dry because the road there is mud and many times car stuck in the mud. And another one advice prefer to go day and return when the light day is still up to sky because after is very difficult to find the road back. Don't scary if you see airplanes fly up to you is because the place there is keeping watch from England base. And is forbidden to fly a drone up to 15 meters. If you do it maybe England base try to warn you that you pushing there limits.
Well this shipwreck was on our list to see. It's offroad and it takes you over sandy paths with lots of sharp pointy stones. So drive carefully. You can park reasonably close by and walk along the shore towards the wreck. Would definitely not recommend to swim there. Sharp and pointy rocks in the water. Strong waves crush on them. Nice to go to if you're in the neighbourhood but not worth a long drive if your just there for some photos.
Once you’re next to the church, just use google maps for the way towards the shipwreck as there are hundreds of paths. It’s easy to get close to it even with a small car.

Very beautiful, quiet, and peaceful. It puts you in a meditative state.
Interesting small and quiet church in the Akrotiri part of the western Sovereign Base Area. Well worth a stop, and then a wander among the dunes.
Nice small church, our luck it was opened and Infront of it is tap water... While its in place on nowhere
Nice little church. Dress decent when entering. The tarmac road ends here.
One of my personal favourite locations for birding. It is usually quiet, so you have the place to yourself, but it's very difficult to work, patience and being stubborn are important. Also, the insects are always hungry here, insect repellent is a MUST. The Chapel is quite pretty but, more importantly, there is a good, clean toilet, free for public use. There is a donation box.
Nice little church! Don't forget to explore the nice surrounding
Quiet and calm place. There’s a outdoor bench where you can rest. We stopped there to see the shipwreck. There’s a road all the way to the church.
Beautiful church
