Came as a young couple. Zoo was mainly empty - mainly directed at families and kids. The overall design and size of pens seemed small and out of date. Kids were screaming inside the parrot house making the animals very scared. Signs should be put on the pens to treat animals more with respect and quietness and it would have been nice to learn more about every animal. The seal show, even though it was only in danish, was very fun and engaging with every staff member doing different tricks at the same time. The giraffe on its own looked Lonely. The food (hot dog) was small for the price and I didn’t get asked what sauces I wanted on - however if you want sauce for your chips you have to pay extra! There are many playgrounds for kids. Overall, the zoo needs a renovation and bigger and cleaner pens for the animals, I would only recommend this zoo for Families.

A typical danish Zoo. You can get really close to the animals. Most of the enclosures are pretty old. A lot of playgrounds for kids, BBQ places and a small Tivoli. It's definitely worth a visit.

A wonderful day out for the whole family, in particular the little ones. We visited on a Wednesday and was there from open (10am) till close (4pm) out of the key season which is a later opening times. Some attractions opened after lunch, but it gave us time to see the animals close up in the morning and just wander the impressive grounds. Lots of places to sit and enjoy a bite or picnic or food can be bought on site in their cafe. Thanks to the staff for making us feel welcome and at home

Very happening place for kids of all ages. The pelican and the giraffe are a must see. Try to time your visit such that you can see the penguin feed, which is only one every day.

Nice place with a good variety of different animals. We saw a feeding of penguins where the attendant was really good at explaining things about them. Later we attended a sea lion feeding and they also performed all kinds of tricks. The park isn't that big, though, and it's only open from 10-16.

Cozy and family friendly zoo with activities for especially the smaller children. The animals could use some bigger and more diverse/inspiring areas though this has improved in recent years. All in all it makes for a fine visit that the entire family can enjoy.

Surprisingly very nice and huge and there's plenty to look at. Worth getting a season ticket as it is very reasonable. Food at the cafe are also reasonably priced. Worth a visit especially for a family with young children :)
