Lovely quiet place to visit. Very clean beach
Amazing sandy beach with lots to do and lots of bars/restaurants. Very long walk to the water which is full of jelly fish. Lovely for walks and exercising.
Very nice people, lots to do and see, great food.Be ready for a day at the beach.
Beautiful beach, lots to do, nice bars & restaurants close by
Nice place to spend time
The beach is beautiful but I'd avoid La Baraque de la Plage: good food but bad and slow customer service and bad compliance to Covid19 measures!
1km until deep water. Perfect with smaller kids
Lovely stretch of sand, free parking nearby.

This is a completely amazing project - building a big 17th ship of the line using traditional methods. The people doing it are really hospitable and friendly. We were only able to visit but will be back.
Excellent signposting to the site, no parking problems. The site itself isn’t huge so this won’t be your whole day, but there is so much locally that isn’t an issue if you plan. Lots of English text, the short documentary playing has English subtitles and really helps you to understand what’s happening here apart from the obvious. The staff are super friendly and clearly enjoy the site. The tickets are cheap but there are opportunities to spend a fortune on smoked fish, alcohol and gifts if that’s your thing.
Fascinating living museum. Building a several hundred year old boat from original designs and measurements taken from the wreck of the original. Very well presented multi lingual information boards and extremely knowledgeable tours given by the shipwrights themselves. A must visit if you're anywhere near!
Absolutely amazing - a crazy, inspired and HUGE project. Friendly staff, nice cafe and good information. This really should be better known- why is it not in Atlas Obscura?
In this shipyard the Jean Bart is being built by a team of dedicated carpenters and a blacksmith. This is well worth a visit; a restaurant and a bar serve tasty homemade food and refreshments.
Passionate people with a truly awesome project. I'll be happy to go back every few years to see how they are getting on.
Excellent traditional food and service. Many thanks to you all
Wonderful visit thx a lot ! Super kids friendly :)

Surely Gravelines was the best place to hold a trainingscamp for "row to olympics", since this area is so beautiful and there are so many activities. The rowing track itself is very cool because the conditions aren't always the same, which is good for training
Fantastic place to stop over with the m/home.also thanks must be said for flying the union jack on this sad time, the death of our monarch.
Wonderful lake to relax your eyes, clean and beautiful,
Great fun for the kids

(Translated by Google) The only problem and the most important is that the central is not accessible at any time at least during the day.. only one bus in the morning for those who start at 08:00. Is still... The bus arrives at 07:55 .. and for those who start at 07.00 or 07.30 .. it's dead for them .. or they have to walk 30 minutes .. since the nearest bus stop is 30 minutes away on foot .. a lot of workers of the region which struggles especially in the morning.. personally I suggest.. as there are no more shuttles at the central.. that they provide a.. between the schooner stop.. and the P.A.P EARLY MORNING.. UNTIL 8 a.m. .. for those who use the bus...
(Translated by Google) Old power station but provides us with 70% of the consumption of the Hauts de France... that's okay. I don't want to get out of nuclear power since it's impossible to do better in terms of pseudo ecology.
(Translated by Google) Maybe someone will find the diagram useful. There are three entrances, I was on two, but it turned out that I was on the third) (Original)
(Translated by Google) We had the opportunity to visit the power station during the heritage days, it was a very good experience. The welcome was very good and the visit to the different parts of the power station very interesting.
(Translated by Google) Subcontractor of the nuclear power plant, you should review your access badge conditions. Between the validation of Paris and that of Gravelines, I sincerely think that we should consult more. You are putting obstacles in the way of the companies that have to work on your site! ridiculous !
(Translated by Google) It's bad that operations haven't stopped yet! The nature in the area is beautiful. The sandy beach is very spacious. But who wants to stay here longer than necessary... Shockingly, people are even lying on the beach directly behind the wall.

Very interesting town. Well worth the visit.
(Translated by Google) Boats, boats or pedal boats, great idea for discovering the ramparts and having a pleasant time (1 hour pedal boat for 3 people, 12 euros).

(Translated by Google) The entire tour of the ramparts is not possible and sometimes the view is inaccessible. But pleasant walking tour. Too bad the visit by water is only possible during high season (Original) Le tour des remparts n est pas possible intégralement et parfois, vue inaccessible.
(Translated by Google) Very pretty, especially when there is an exhibition like this summer, it allows you to add a little something extra during the walk. But otherwise it is very calm and at the water's edge with pretty landscapes for nice photos. There is also the possibility of boating or pedal boating in summer around the ramparts and this allows you to discover them differently (Original) Très joli, surtout quand il y a une exposition comme cet été, cela permet de rajouter un petit quelque chose en plus lors de la promenade.
(Translated by Google) We spent the afternoon at the pier where there was a lot of entertainment, thank you Olivier for the explanations on the history of the ramparts, we like coming to Gravelines for its concerts, a really vibrant city, keep it up 👍👍👍 (Original) Nous avons passé l'après-midi à l'embarcadére ou il y avait beaucoup d'animations merci Olivier pour les explications sur l'historique des remparts nous aimons venir à gravelines pour ses concerts ville qui bouge vraiment bien continuez comme ça 👍👍👍
