Randomly drove by and I wasn’t disappointed! Lovely, welcoming hosts and reasonable pricing. Not many cheese samples, but every cheese I bought was absolutely delicious. Honey as well. There’s a reason they have Michelin star restaurants carrying their goods. Definitely stop by if you’re in the area
Excellent choices of cheese - from hard to soft! Haven't tried all of them yet, but so far the ones we tried were absolutely delicious. They have an award-winning cheese that is pickled in ash! I mean... do yourself a favor and check it out; just make sure to watch the signs or you will easily miss the exit. And make sure to check out the cheese that is pickled in olive oil as well. You will not regret it. I swear! The service is just as excellent as the products - they offer tastings, explanations on the different kinds of products and their peculiarities... Oh, and they have a certificate for offering organic, halal and kosher cheese products. They do, of course, also offer meat, but we haven't put our focus on that so I can't really judge those. I'll make sure to check them out next time we're there. Because YES we'll be back. And next time, we'll take twice as much!
Nice place, OK cheese but in the end we were charged massively too much. After we were gone I felt ripped off. Cannot recommend the place.
Large selection of cheeses, liqueurs, honey and much more. Everything is delicious of their own production. The owners are very nice people :)
Must visit place. Extraordinary local cheeses, honey and jams. Very warm people.
(Translated by Google) Not recommended. There is no declaration on the cheese and bacon. And the same cheese can be bought at Interspar for 9 Euros, but they charged us 15 Euros. And we didn't even get a receipt. Shameful. (Original) Nije za preporuku. Nema nikakve deklaracije na siru i špeku. A isti taj sir može se u Intersparu za 9 Euro kupiti koji su nama 15 Euro naplatili. A nismo niti račun dobili. Sramotno.

Nice historical ruin to visit. Inaccessible route due to slippery snow. But worth the walk nonetheless 😊
Just stunningly beautiful. I would love to come back.
Pretty landscape but the near sorroundings are left without maintenance.
Thrilling fortress on a picturesque hill top in Slunj. Makes part of a hiking trail and gives a nice possibility for taking pictures inside of the fortification as well as of the surrounding dwellings. The informative plates on the route provides details on the history of that medieval castle and it's owners as well as this historical region of Croatia bordering to Bosnia and Herzegovina. Further excavations, reconstructions, arrangement of access route would be beneficial for developing that turistic hotspot in Croatia.
This place is simple amazing I felt so good and relax the sound of the water relaxes me while I was drinking coffee and walking , each corner is breath taken. If you are professional photographer you can explore this place for a calendar photo album. Highly recommend it to walk this place
Present look of fortress Slunj is a result of recent reconstruction and still is a building site. Although it looks like a big ruin and in need of reconstruction much is so far done. On the walls it can be seen a difference in colours, very bright stones are new and darker stones are amount of few walls that were standing before reconstruction. Building was reconstructed in the height of two stories, all the windows are reconstructed. Piles of stones in front of the fortress is building material for further reconstruction. Hope that work will resume and that visitors would have more content( like info tables, reconstructed rooms in the fort with items and history of this important site) and reasons to stop here and visit Slunj.
Marvelous placing and a common kind of castle. All thanks for the brave man who deffended it and the land around it: many valuable seeing has been preserved. Sadly did not had the chance to take a closer look.
Wouldn't call it one of Slunj's "Must Sees" but if old buildings fascinate you then it should tickle your fancy. A great sunset spot that provides a great panorama of the town.

Great hotel for a one-night stay when visiting Plitvice Lakes and the town of Slunj. + Spacious room and bathroom. + Above-standard storage and surface space (large tables, plenty of room in the bathroom, etc.). + Great and quiet location just outside Slunj. + Large parking area. - It’s a pity the hotel doesn’t have a wellness area or a pool – the property is spacious, and for a hotel of this size, these facilities feel noticeably missing.
The hotel is located about 40 minutes away from the waterfalls, so it’s not the closest option, but it is near a very charming village which adds to the experience. The rooms were clean, though the air conditioning did not cool properly and the room felt quite hot. The hotel has a small restaurant that is cute, but unfortunately not at a very high level, and the service there was disappointing compared to the generally good service provided by the hotel staff. On the positive side, the hotel offers parking, which is convenient. However, it lacks facilities such as a spa or a pool, which would have made the stay much more enjoyable.
Nestled close to the serene landscapes of Plitvička Jezera, this restaurant offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, enhanced by an outdoor fountain that adds to its charm. The menu features delicious dishes served in generous portions, all at reasonable prices. A standout is their lava cake—rich, decadent, and a perfect end to the meal. Whether you’re winding down after exploring the lakes or seeking a hearty meal, this spot delivers on both taste and ambiance.
An incredible kayak rafting tour! We joined last year and again this year – always a pleasure with Pat from Ecuador and Nacho from Argentina. On top of that, the service at this hotel is perfect: amazing people, incredibly friendly staff, delicious food. The reception makes everything possible, and you can tell the employees here are guided by excellent management. For me personally, it’s also the perfect place for Croatian bell-dish specialties. Whenever we’re in Croatia, we’ll definitely try to come back here again.
This is a very good 4* hotel. Everything is super clean, no dust, no spider nets, not even in the remove areas. The breakfast is awesome best value for 12€ for two Person.
Great location and had a fun time with ATV&bike rentals. WiFi did not work, toilet in room was broken, AC was broken so room was very humid/hot, broken plates on the floor during breakfast went unnoticed for quite some time-ended up stepping on glass and having to point out to associate working the breakfast area, and several times fire alarm was set off by those using door to exit near our room. The only reason I am giving 3 stars is because the staff was great for rentals. Otherwise a very frustrating stay and many sleepless nights. Summer lounge was even closed (no cushions to sit on or water fountain on) to there was no where to relax at end of day. When I see amenities advertised, I expect the be able to enjoy them or at least.
A Convenient Stop, but a Disappointing Tourist Trap Experience. This restaurant is conveniently located on the main road, but the name is misleading, and the value and quality of their most famous dishes are very poor. I would advise travelers to be cautious. The Experience: I stopped here for lunch on my way to Plitvice, drawn in by the name "Rastoke" and the promise of traditional Croatian food like spit-roasted lamb. The Positives: The location is very convenient, right on the D1 highway, making it an easy stop without any detours. The Negatives (Why I Cannot Recommend It): Misleading Location: First, be aware that the restaurant is not in the beautiful Rastoke waterfall village. It's a roadside establishment a considerable walk away, with no views of the waterfalls. The name feels like a marketing tactic. Extremely Poor Value & Quality: This was the main issue. I ordered the "300g" portion of spit-roasted lamb (Janjetina s ražnja) for €18.50. What I received was a shockingly small portion that was mostly bone, with very little meat. The small amount of meat I did get was dry and completely unremarkable. I have cooked lamb myself that was far better. For the price, the quality and quantity were incredibly disappointing. Final Verdict: While the restaurant might be convenient, the overall experience felt like a classic tourist trap. It seems to rely on its location and the "Rastoke" name to attract travelers, but then fails to deliver on the quality and value you would expect for the high prices. You are paying a premium for a subpar meal. Advice for Fellow Travelers: I cannot recommend ordering the spit-roasted lamb. Perhaps the stews or other dishes offer better value, but based on my experience, I would suggest you keep driving and find a more authentic, local establishment where your money will be better spent.
During breakfast, only one of the two coffee machines was in use, which resulted in a long line for guests who wanted coffee. Personally, I found the bed too soft, which made it difficult to sleep.
