Suprisenly charming and learning private ethnographic museum in the Carpathian village of Kolochava. You may tell and see that it is done with a touch of hearts if local people Take a tour by local sport teacher and ambitious businesnan Yurii. You will like his cool hat and philosophical deliburatiobs on local history and contemporary life!
Some nice Tourguides might let you join their tours. Everything is in Ukrainian or Russian though. There is no consistent story to this place. Lots of houses are locked. Barely any information available even in Ukrainian. If you have some spare time or have never been to an open-air museum - I’d recommend to visit the place. Otherwise, you are better off going for a hike 😉
General exhibition is great, though many displays should be preserved better. Some are weather worn, some need redecoration. The past time atmosphere around the place.
A reconstitution of typical old village. That was a very good experience throught the past. Time was stopped and you easily can imagine how people lived here at the 19th century, and much more. The ticket cost 90 hryvnias for adult. I visited the village in 1h30. Good memory. There is a Cafe restaurant closed to the entrance, which I also recommand.
Nice museum with old traditionaly houses.
This place represent old ukrainian culture and life. Turists can find there old houses of the end of 19 th century. All kinds of crafts, houses of ancient artisans are presented here. To the surprise many jewish families lived in that locality. People can get to know about their fate and difficulties of their life especially during persecution by Germans and Soviets.
Great place with some information about history of the Kolocova Place. The main problem was that there are missing english writen information. Everything is writen in azbuka so other people are not able to read if they do. ot know how to read it...
A bit expensive for Ukraine at 80hr per adult. Then you pay for a guide, without which there isn't much to see as buildings are closed to casual goers unless escorted by a guide. No place to eat. Still, lots of cool exhibits and a great view into 19th and 20th century Ukraine.
