I can not express the grandeur and beauty of this location enough. Words do not describe how beautiful this location is. We took a tour to get us to this location. Even despite the small crowds, we truly enjoyed the water and scenery here. It is like nothing we had ever seen before. The water, sunlight, and limestone rock formations make for a paradise like setting.
It’s an amazing place location but during the trip u will be tired to go there only to sit for 15 min and will continue the rest of the trip during the day. For me I’ll prefer to sit in island rather than roaming around to take pictures only.
We had a slow boat expedition to James Bond Island. Compared to speed boat in which we went to Phi Phi Island, we enjoyed more on this slow boat. Beautiful, scenic cruise 🛳. Canoeing through the caves were adventurous and exciting. Must do... highly recommended
Khao Phing Kan was one of the four stops during this wonderful boat tour. The James Bond Island was amazing. At two other stops, we canoed into caves. Reaching an atoll through the cave was a surreal experience. The boat crew was great who made the tour an enjoyable experience.
What a great experience to visit Khao Phing Kan / JAMES BOND ISLAND on a privet longtail motor boat. The place is a historic monument after the movie "The man with the Golden Gun" was filmed in 1974. My Capitan "TIGER" took me on the most majestic tour with super nice , breathtaking scenic places .
I was expecting something better. Boat trip to the bond island was a nice experience, through mangroves. But the island itself was a bit disappointing and crowded.
The boat trip to Khao Phing Kan / James Bond Island was a pleasant experience, taking us on a scenic route through the mangroves.
I must say that when we went here there were reviews that experience was underwhelming for few people but I politely disagree. The structure is the middle of the water looks amazing and looked so much better than what we saw in the movie There are ample photo opportunities and you want to be careful while swimming in muddy water because of sea shells. Must visit

It’s the Thailand you see in the travel brochures. The limestone islands are out of this world really. I debated whether or not to just do one of these tourist-trap trips here with a big boat and all and it wasn’t too bad. The place is so spectacular that it erases any crowd discomfort
One of the most beautiful national parks we have visited. This National part is part of the southern of Thailand. It’s famous for James Bond Islamd, it’s amazing caves, limestones and green clean water. We reserved a kayak tour and it was amazing. We went around the island and saw many beautiful caves and rock formations. You have to try this at least once on life.
Take a long boat ride around the bay. Stop at the Koh Panyee village on the water. Pass through the waterways under the rocks. See "The Jumping Tiger" on one of the islands. Pass by the famous James Bond Island featured in The Man with The Golden Gun 1974 movie. Multiple photo opportunities. I suggest a camera with good lenses over a phone. The boat catches lots of sprinkles at high speed so be careful with your camera and phone.
Incredible trip! Amazing views! So much fun checking out James bond island and all the sea caves! The.tour left around 730 and got back around 5ish. We got to see so many Incredible places! I was truly blown away by the beauty of this place! So much fun going snorkeling for my first time ever!!!! I can't wait to be back and go exploring here some more! Def would take the earlier excursion next time!
This was a bucket blister. James Bond Island has been a place I wanted to visit since I discovered it. Now I have! Gorgeous and not so overly packed. Touristy, but not horrendous. Did a bit of snorkeling here for my first time, someone who suffers from thalassophobia, glad I got myself to do it. Definitely worth it.
I would rate 5 stars for this one day leisure cruise. We booked the cruise through the hotel travel agent. The boat is new and spacious. Drinks and snacks are served on board. Even young children and passengers with needed assistance are very well taken care of. We started with a simple early lunch in a small local restaurant near the yacht club. The first stop is a small island which gives you spectacular view of the limestone hills standing out from the sea horizon. Then the highlight is canoeing in Phang Nag Bay through the limestone karsts jut vertically out of the emerald-green water. Next comes the renowned James Bond Island. Tourists will never miss the beautiful sunset view of Phang Nga Bay and the trip ends with a small buffet dinner in the same restaurant. Fantastic cruise and money well spent!
Beautiful limeston mountains and small caves surrounded with blue ocean all around, amazing work of art by nature. It's very touristic but you will be treated to some unforgettable sights.
Incredible experience. We booked a kayaking tour and it was amazing. It’s a day of stuff and can get tiring but well worth it. There are also speed boat tours which one might consider and they go much faster than the ferries.

Small island with a sandy beach on its tip & food shacks, popular with day trippers & snorkelers.

Good place to relax. You will have to get a drink of any sort to be seated in one of the shacks (one pair). Each drink will cost around 100 to 150 THB but worth it. You can do snorkelling, scuba diving, jet skiing. I did scuba diving for 2k THB (the price may vary and I should have bargained more). Since it was my first time, I had a very good experience. You will be trained for 5 to 10minutes depending on how quickly you can adapt to breathing through mouth alone. I was underwater for 30minutes. Remember to ask them if they have an option to take pictures or videos underwater, I missed it. Note: You can pay via card as well but they will charge you 100 THB additionally for it. Better to use cash throughout thailand.
a small island with sand in the middle of the ocean. beautiful with a beautiful sea to take an incredible swim. the whole magic of the landscape is spoiled by the excessive number of tourists and too many boats that make this dreamy place a tragic experience
It was so beautiful white sand little beach but now has been destroyed by Big tours. So many tourist a once, and jet skiing all over. We can not swim because it is too scary from Jest skii. Restaurants are so so. What's else to do here?!?! Sadly #nontasak #destroyed #tat
Super clear and clean waters. We had a stopover here for an hour. People mostly buy a drink, sat down and chill by the sea.
The beach is stunning, with crystal-clear waters and breathtaking views. The local community is exceptionally friendly and welcoming, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. There is a wide range of activities available, as well as numerous shops and local vendors offering unique items and souvenirs.
Hundreds of boats, thousands of people on a tiny island. Jet skis polluting the water. A dead coral reef – full of floating plastic and garbage. A very sad picture :((
Snorkelling here was amazing, we swam out a little further and got to see a handful of sharks that were about a meter in size, a barracuda, a large pufferfish, and a number of brightly coloured parrotfish.
Review: A Perfect Getaway to Koh Khai Nok – A Hidden Gem Near Phuket 🌴 Date of Visit: End of Jan 📍 Location: Koh Khai Nok Island, Phuket, Thailand We had an amazing time at Koh Khai Nok, a stunning little island just a 15-minute speedboat ride from Phuket. This place is like a paradise postcard with its powdery white sand, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and vibrant marine life. 🏝️ What I Loved ✔ Breathtaking Views – The contrast of the blue sky, emerald waters, and soft sand was simply mesmerizing. It’s a perfect Instagram-worthy location. ✔ Snorkeling Experience – The shallow waters around the island were full of colorful fish, and I spotted some beautiful coral reefs. ✔ Relaxing Beach Vibes – Plenty of sunbeds and shaded areas to just chill, soak up the sun, and sip on fresh coconut water. ✔ Convenient Facilities – Small bars and eateries on the island serve fresh seafood, coconut drinks, and chilled beer. ⏳ Things to Keep in Mind ⚠ Can Get Crowded – Since it’s a popular tourist spot, expect a good number of visitors, especially in the afternoon. If you want a quieter experience, try to arrive early in the morning. ⚠ Be Mindful of Marine Life – Feeding the fish is not allowed to protect the ecosystem, and stepping on corals should be avoided. ⚠ Prices Are Higher – As expected on a small island, food and drinks are a bit pricey, so bringing some snacks and water might be a good idea. 🎟️ Travel Tip I booked a half-day tour, which included a speedboat transfer, snorkeling gear, and refreshments. It was totally worth it! If you love the sea, sun, and snorkeling, this place should definitely be on your Phuket itinerary. Would I visit again? Absolutely! 🌊🏖️ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – A must-visit island near Phuket! #KohKhaiNok #PhuketIsland #ThailandBeaches #TropicalEscape #SnorkelingParadise

Large inhabited island in the Ko Yao Archipelago known for its beaches & dive sites.
Slide 1 of 8
Wonderful island, some tourism, but not at all overdeveloped yet. I see people complain about roads and I think it’s ok. Drive fairly slowly 40-50 km and stay focused.
When we entered the island our guide said welcome to paradise and I think that's the best way to describe it. It's a perfect place to rest and swim. There's a bar you can buy a drink, they're toilets and showers. I really enjoyed my visit.
Beautiful island but hotel/resorts prices are just crazy even in very low season.
There are a lot of activity here. The sea is very clear. During the day it is vary hot but can solve this problem by the coconut milk or other juice on the island. In the evening, there are many place that you can see the sunset such as Loh Jark Beach. But I recommend to go to Loh Pared beach because there are a lot of restaurants that you eat some food before or after seeing the sunset and there also have many shops that you can buy swimsuits before going to the sea. In addition to the very beautiful view, you can also learn about their culture such as fishing, etc.
Ideal for those looking for peace and quiet. Activities, jet skiing, snorkelling, boat trips to nearby islands and James Bond islands. There are times when it's almost impossible to swim at Lo Pared beach because it's filled with thousands of tiny jellyfish that sting your whole body, making it uncomfortable to be in the water, especially in January and February. The best beach for swimming, snorkelling and monkey watching at the end of the day is Au Moang beach in the south of the island... superb. In the north of the island, because the beaches are almost all mangroves, it's almost impossible to swim, and there's the needle fish that's buried in the ground and when it stings, you get really sick for a few weeks. To swim in the north of the island you have to go to Sandbank beach and swim in the direction of Koh Yao Noi, the neighbouring island to Koh Yao Yai. You can see that the corals on the beaches are being destroyed by the mooring of all kinds of boats. Devastating for public health and the environment is that the population burns plastics mixed with coconuts, herbs and leaves, making the island's air saturated and foul-smelling. Relatively cheap island in general, friendly and pleasant people, good hotels and restaurants, good regional sweets. Before we only saw motorbikes, today we are invaded by cars and jeeps driving along these roads with poor infrastructure. If you're looking for a cure for your bones, rheumatism, blood circulation and other ailments, you should visit Dr Saad, an old, half-blind man who works small or large miracles on your body with an ancient Thai massage called "haille"... I recommend it. I really like this island and the people.
Fantastic island, perfect if you are travelling as a couple wanting to relax and enjoy some amazing beaches. The best way to get around the island is by moped which is pretty safe as there is hardly any traffic on the roads. I still cannot believe that we had the beach all to ourselves.
Do your research before you come here. The island is very rustic and peaceful. Many beaches are rocky and turn into tidal flats on low tide. If you want to hang out on the beach chair outside your hotel, this is your place. Do not trust hotel brochures as the beach access goes.
If you enjoy the nature and not crowded places, you should go. Very nice island, great nature. Before visiting check a tide app so you won't be disappointed. At 2 o' clock afternoon, low tide happens and you won't find any place to swim unless you book a hotel with swimming pool. You can find also other attractions in low tide time, viewpoints, some jungle walking and exploring the island. Not giving 5 stars because low tide reveals a muddy dirty beach with plastic and broken glass everywhere. When you go on the beach, don't forget to take your garbage with you, because of people that don't do that, the beaches are often full of leftovers and garbage. Not nice. You can also see nice sunsets if you go on the east side of the island. The nicest beach that I've seen (i didn't see all of them) is on the left side and right side of the Loh Yak Pier and doesn't seem to be affected that much of low tide. P. S. You need a car or motorbike for a better experience.

It is jesr to James bond island while yo there you can visite it local phuket idland beautiful place they take yon boat inside the cave they will also help to get the good pic perfect, and the scenery is beautiful, wonderful, and mysterious. I think the person who paddled the canoe who guided us was still young, but he did his best to explain various things in English and took pictures of us, so we had a very good time. I was able to do it and got a very good memory.
An absolutely unforgettable experience at the Hongs of Phang Nga! These hidden lagoons, tucked inside dramatic limestone karsts, felt like stepping into a secret world. We kayaked through narrow sea caves, some only accessible at low tide, and emerged into tranquil, emerald-green lagoons surrounded by towering cliffs and lush greenery. The serenity and natural beauty were simply breathtaking. A special mention to the boy who carried us by kayak—he was a genuinely nice guy, full of energy, and truly passionate about what he was doing. He made the journey even more enjoyable with his cheerful attitude, pointing out unique rock formations, sharing fun facts, and making us laugh the entire way. His dedication to giving us a memorable experience really stood out. If you're visiting southern Thailand—especially from Phuket or Krabi—don’t miss this magical adventure. The hongs are nature's hidden gems and best explored by kayak. Highly recommended!
Phang Nga Bay is a spectacularly beautiful marine environment easily accessible from Phuket. For a really great experience, book your day trip with Andaman Sea Kayak company.
Beautiful island and great experience viewing it via canoe.
My best canoeing experience in Hong lagoon, PhangNga.The view around is so amazing.
One of the most surreal places I've ever seen. You think you've seen it all and then there is another hidden lagoon. Photos really do not do it justice👌🏼
Wonderful experienced I really recommended to visit here
i was there two weeks ago and I can say this without any hesitation that canoeing here was the BESTEST experience and highlight of my trip. FUll of surprises and every cave would leave you in an awe. Pictures are literally 0 compared to reality. must check it out!!
