Restaurants serving good food and quick service are located both on-site and nearby, and prices are practically the same as everywhere else.

We visited with the 1 Day Insta Tour Package on Trip Advisor and I personally recommend you book with them to get the best informed tour. This garden was once the King's private garden. It's now opened to the public for access and viewing. Although it still has practicioners coming here to meditate, it's still mostly opened to the public. The Koi fish in these ponds are majestic as you'll see in the accompanying videos and photos. The statue as well are just too fantastic 😍 for a first timer to Bali, visiting this Garden first will set the tone for your holidays ❤️💪👍

This was an absolutely beautiful and historic location that feels like stepping into a living postcard. We visited Tirta Gangga as part of our East Bali Tour programme. This is a very well maintained and clean place, which was used as a former water palace. We learned it was named after the sacred river Ganges in India. You can hop on and walk on stones to cross the ponds. There are so many well-fed and big koi fishes in ponds that look lovely. We had also visited Ubud Water Palace before, Tirta Gangga is bigger than that so it was worth visiting. There is also a cafe & restaurant you can sit and relax.

A beautiful and historic water palace with a peaceful atmosphere. It was a good experience overall, though quite crowded when we visited. We didn’t manage to get any great shots ourselves, but many people do, it’s definitely a very photogenic spot. Tip: go early in the morning to avoid the crowds and get the best photos. Besakih Temple is the largest Hindu Temple in the island of Bali, built on the slope of Mount Agung: to be precise it's a complex of 25 different but related temples. The entrance is marked by a "Candi Bentar", the famous split gateway that can be found all over Bali. Unfortunately when I visited there was bad weather so I couldn't enjoy the view of the surroundings. The temple itself is quite nice.

The temple itself is absolutely breathtaking — peaceful, grand, and well worth the visit. The views are stunning, and the site is truly a gem. However, the management and organisation seriously undermine the overall experience. The mandatory payment for a guide is completely pointless — the guide service adds no real value. In our case, the guide seemed far more interested in pushing us toward nearby shops offering photography services and souvenirs than actually explaining anything about the temple. When we firmly refused to buy or use any of those services, he simply left us mid-tour, and we ended up exploring the site on our own. The shuttle service from the entry point to the temple is another disappointment. It’s one-way only, which is not mentioned anywhere on the ticket — a very poor system, especially since the shuttles return empty after dropping visitors off. It’s a real pity because the temple and surroundings are magnificent, but the experience is overshadowed by poor management, lack of transparency, and unprofessional behaviour from the guides. I genuinely hope the authorities address these issues so that future visitors can enjoy this beautiful place without unnecessary frustration.

This Besakih Great Temple "Mother Temple" is such an amazing place.. The place itself is good but be careful from those people who will offer you to take a great pictures as the shot taken was not as nice as what we expect and they will ask you huge amount of money.. One guy offer us to take us our picture for 50,000IDR for 8 shots, then eventually ask 150,000IDR after the picture taking and the result was hilarious. The pictures I posted here is self captured not really proffesionally done but still better from those picture that was taken by the paid photographer. Overall the place was amazing and this is where you can appreciates indonesian culture.

Visiting Pura Besakih, the Mother Temple of Bali, was an unforgettable experience. The complex is enormous and filled with history, spirituality, and breathtaking architecture. Walking through its many levels with Mount Agung rising in the background truly feels magical. What impressed me most was the atmosphere – it’s both deeply spiritual and welcoming. The views over the mountains and rice terraces are absolutely stunning, especially when the clouds move around the volcano. If you want to experience the heart of Balinese culture and spirituality, this is definitely a place not to miss.

Beautiful temple! I visit 11/19/25 the first day of Galungan. There was ample parking, no wait times, and a free tram up the hill. Though there was a lot of construction and solicitors, my guide and I were able to scale the hill where I took many pictures and learned about how the temples were organized.

This is the mother of all the Temples in Bali. Every sect in Bali has been allotted their own temple in and around this complex. We went.around 4pm so there were no tourists. Plus this place is being revered and worshipped by all the Hindus there so foreigners need to be mindful and respect their traditions. Guide is included as part of the ticket for foreigners. But guide may still expect some tips. It is optional but you xan use your own judgement and not yield to any pressure. There is also no need to buy offerings and you xan simply decline if you don't want to go their prayer place in the main temple. If you go late in the evening wait until you get sunset. During our visit (November) it is very quiet that why the are renovating parts off the temple. The guides inform you about history, they start to build at the year 800 till 1300 for the first part. I had read online there is a 500k drone fee, but I asked a security guy once inside and he said "go ahead, no charge"

Also a beautiful place for a wedding, if it can be rented for that event. It's supposed to be a new hotel. Mould in the bathroom. Hot water ran out after 40 seconds. The staff have no experience and unable to assit in anything else than what the hotel.offers. they tried to charge us for breakfasts when it was included in price. We paid for a family room, 2 adults, and 2 children. and there was inly a gueen bed and a sofa. The toilet leaked so the bathroom floor was always wet and slippery. Tiny breakfast. Upper floors around pool and restaurant. Empty bottles and dishes laid around. And never picked until the next morning. We always had to ask for service as the staff just had in the kitchen. We will never return.

To get there you have to go through what feels like a jungle, and the road is in terrible condition. It is full of steep, broken, and rocky paths, and honestly it can hardly be called a road. It is absolutely not suitable for scooters, and without a private driver or arranged transport it is very risky. When you arrive, the sand is not white as advertised. It is more of a grey-beige mix, and the beach itself is overrated compared to the photos online. The water is fine, and there are a few local warungs, but overall the experience did not match the description. Unless you already have a driver and know what to expect, I would not recommend making the trip.

Komang was fantastic. We walked for 1.5 hours through beautiful sideman scenery. I was with my 73 year old father and Komang’s chose a great route and made sure to point out any obstacles on the trail. Komang was professional and friendly. The tour is very worth the money- we never would have found those trails off the road by ourselves. I’ve lived in bali for 6 years and Komang is truly a gem. Highly recommended

We had a great walking tour through Sidemen‘s rice field, followed by a visit to Gembleng waterfall with a nice refreshing bath and stunning views. Komang was great: easy to chat with, very knowledgeable about the area, plants, history and culture of Sidemen and Bali in general. It was a real value-add compared to just walking through the rice fields without a guide - so we can highly recommend going with Sidemen Tour and Trekking!

My friend and I got picked up by the lovely Kadek from Kusamba Port and enjoyed a drive to Sidemen where we then went on an easy walk through the picturesque fields. Kadek is fun and friendly, with amazing English, and he shared his knowledge of local plants and farming with us. He even stopped us by a local farmer where I bought a fresh coconut and tried some fruit! It was such a beautiful way to experience Sidemen and we highly recommend to anyone visiting 😊

I had a great time trekking with Komang! He was so friendly, informative and gave a real insight into the village and rice fields. It was a beautiful walk, and i loved learning about everything. Fantastic experience.

Komang is a very friendly, knowledgeable and great guide. We did a 2hr ricefield trekking with him and learned alot about growing rice, crops and the environment. Caught a glimpse of mount agong too. Thereafter we were driven to gembleng waterfall for the sunset. Komang and his team are flexible. You could share with them your planned itinerary beforehand or ask if they could go to other areas beyond what they advertised.

Komang is an excellent guide who gave us a walking tour in the area between the ricefields and other vegetation. We crossed a river and came along some very nice viewpoints. A beautiful pond to walk around, ideal during the morning before 10 am. The water lilies are just as beautiful as lotus and I didn’t know the difference. It does have some garbage floating in it and it would great to get a cleaning crew in there to pick up the trash.

The flowers were not open but it was still a very pretty walking trail. Trail goes all around the lake and views of the hills were lovely. Small beach at the far corner.

The place is a misnomer as it is a lagoon full of Lily plants and flowers instead of Lotus. Nevertheless the place is scenic and worth a visit. The lagoon water is crystal clear and teeming with small fishes Best time to visit is in the early morning when the air is fresh and cool, and the lily flowers all open up. There are two restaurants next to the lagoon.

We arrived at 7am to view the lotus in full bloom as we'd passed a few times in recent days later in the afternoon and the flowers were all closed. It was well worth the visit. The flowers were quite spectacular and were best until about 9.30am when they started to close. We walked around the lagoon and chatted to locals exercising and going about their business.

We booked this hotel via the many positive reviews left by others on Booking.com. we we're not disappointed. Upon arrival, you are looked after and kind, friendly staff checked you in quickly and took us to our room. We had booked one of their Ocean View suites, which was superb. Plenty of room and the facilities were excellent, including a lovely shower and outside spa bath. Food at the restaurant was great, especially the breakfast. My wife is lactose intolerant, and they looked after her really well overall, however that said, a list of ingredients for each food item would have been a nice addition. There are 3 pools, 3 restaurants, dive booking shack and a Spa on site, plus a nice bar. They also have two large private beaches. More loungers around the central pool would have been nice though. Spa wise, we had booked a Healing Journey, which is 2.5 hours of massages and bliss. I fully recommend. Only slight observation (rather than a complaint) was the large glass patio doors in our room were very difficult to open. Maybe the runners need maintaining. Overall, a really lovely stay with lots of good memories.

This was our second visit and both times were just perfect. The first time was in a private villa, and second time in a junior suite. Both types of accommodation are excellent. Clean, well designed, beautiful. The meals are exemplary, the staff are extremely welcoming, efficient and thoughtful to your needs. The surrounding gardens, pools and beach areas are meticulously attended to. The whole experience is wonderful.

A lovely and stylish hotel at a beautiful bay in Candi Dasa. We stayed at the Luxury Ocean Suite. The Suite is very spacious and the amanities are flawless. The ocean view is a dream. Hearing the waves while falling asleep is everything people could wish. The breakfast has everything you want and the service is very attentive and friendly. It was a pleasure to stay here. Thank you to the whole hotel team, great job!

We stayed on our trip on bali. They gave us a free room upgrade and we stayed at the luxury ocran view room. It was really spacious, with a big terrace with a jacuzzi. It offers good bathroom amenities, pijamas, sandals and free Coffee and tea. Room climate control is excelent quality. The pool in the área is Just on the beach border, infinity style. It also has in-pool bar that offers happy hour (2 cocktails for 7.5 euros with service and tax included). The staff is Lovely and kind and will help you with anything you ask. We also really liked the restaurants, with quality food and excepcional service. I can not recomend enough this hotel. One of the nicest experiences in our holidays. Will come back for sure.

I love the location and the setting. Even when it is a big resort it still feels ok because of the alignment of the building and reataurants and pools. nicely done. the only one thing i disliked was the room that felt weird and old. The staff is super nice and the restaurant offered great food.

Beautiful place. It is located in Jasri Village, Karangasem right by Jasri Beach. The road to this place is not easy, narrow, rough and bumpy. Entrance ticket is rp 10.000/person. Unique bamboo and wooden architecture. They have big swings hanging between coconut trees. Calm beachside vibes, peaceful place to enjoy the sea breeze. They offer chocolate bars, chocolate drinks and soaps. You can taste different chocolate varieties before buying. Staff are friendly. Definitely worth a stop when you are in Karangasem.

The place itself is beautiful there are swings on palm trees and a small platform from which you have a good view. When we arrived we were greeted nicely and we were offered to take part in a chocolate testing for 10.000 IDR per person which is fine. I had the feeling that the employee wanted to work through us quickly. She explained a little bit and then quickly pointed out the production that you could buy additionaly you could ony have one piece of every chocolate which wast much. I have to honestly say that the prices are sometimes a little overdrawn in comparison but since everything is handmade its acceptable. The visit is still worthwhile for the location alone.

A bit of an odd place here. Promoted on Google as a tourist attraction but when we arrived at 1pm on a Saturday afternoon we were greeted by what we could only describe as unwelcoming workers and some creepy looking old white guy hiding in the shadows . We were told they had finished for the day, unable to taste, unable to buy. No shop on site, I'm not sure what this place actually is. It has an absolutely gorgeous outlook over the water and waves and could have so much potential in the right hands but for us its a massive miss. My recommendation is to avoid and go elsewhere.

Beautiful spots. All chocolates and drinks are vegan - grab one and enjoy the serene view from any of the upper decks. There’s a lovely cafe nearby to get some lunch as well.

What can I say but WOW! What an amazing place, full of character and so unique! It was above and beyond what I was expecting after looking at pictures online! We had the privilege of meeting the amazing Charli who is the genius behind the place, thank you for your time and all you have done for the village! You are amazing and inspirational! Only a small arrangement of chocolates are made here but all very tasty, and the cold chocolate milk was devine. They also make soaps, all made with coconut oil, and are beautifully presented! The grounds are well maintained as are the beachfront swings. The buildings are starting to show their age but this is part of the unique charm, which we have not come across anywhere else in Bali. The location is on a stunning part of the coast, down a rustic dirt road, however it could be sign posted a little better. Thank you for a great afternoon! What a hidden treasure!

we were excited to try the chocolate and do the whole experience. the whole thing lasted 2 minutes and we were informed afterwards that there was an “entry fee” of 10’000idr. we bought the soap but not the chocolate (because it was honestly very bad and crazy expensive compared to the average prices here) and they were pretty annoyed. on top of this, it’s very hard to reach the place as the road is terrible, so it’s hard to find a taxi driver who’s willing to take you there. the swings are free and good spots for pictures, but definitely not worth the trip there. would not recommend.

We have had at least 15 different taxi drivers in Bali (as we stayed in multiple locations), but yet we found our experience with Yoga to be by far the best! We used Yoga’s services for 3 days during our stay in Sideman! Yoga had great English and excellent communication! He gave us some great suggestions and local expertise, was highly accommodating and reasonably priced! We also felt incredibly safe being passengers in his vehicle! I was so delighted to discover Kadek Taxi and Tour guide services through Trip Advisor. Having read such amazing reviews from past customers, it was clear to me that he was the best person to contact during my stay in Sideman to book a tour and airport drop off. I contacted Kadek through WhatsApp, and even though it was quite short notice on my part he was so obliging and willing to help create a personalised mini tour of the Sideman area and also take me to Denpasar airport the following evening for a very good price. Kadek is a wonderful tour guide, so enthusiastic, kind, knowledgeable, honest and great company.  As a solo traveller this meant a great deal to me. A very interesting way to visit the forest of Bali. It is a very large and natural farm and the lunch is very fresh and delicious. Katut is very knowledgeable and friendly. My wife and I took this tour on a Monday morning a few hours before our flight home and had a wonderful time. Our tour guide was very animated and obviously loved his job! Great tour through history all the way to current time. Definitely recommend this tour for any whiskey aficionados or anyone with just a taste for Jameson.

I paid about $26 for the Jameson Distillery tour and it was worth every penny. They start with a really cool 3D projector story about the history and how Jameson is made, then you move into a tasting room where you try four different Jamesons and learn how to properly smell and taste whiskey. It truly feels like a world-class experience. The premium ones were noticeably smoother (whiskey by itself definitely grows hair on your chest 😂), but it was fun, informative, and delicious. After the tasting, you get a drink included — they already have a bar set up with several cocktail options, and if you want another drink afterward you can buy more. The tour guide was incredible — funny, knowledgeable, and made it feel like he actually believed every part of the history. It was so good I found myself thinking, “Do y’all hire? I could work here too.” The staff overall was extremely friendly and helpful. They’ll even hold your bags if you’re coming straight from the airport like I was. There’s merchandise at the end if you want to shop, and the whole experience is just a lot of fun from start to finish. I would 100% come back and I’d tell anyone visiting Dublin to add this to their trip.

This is one of the best distillery tour I’ve ever done! I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Dublin. Our tour guide was really informative and had a great demote of knowledge about the history of Jameson’s. I’m not usually a Whiskey drinker but after trying a Jamesons, Ginger Ale and Lime in the bar I am converted.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Jamison Distillery. I went with my husband and my daughter. It was very informative and quite interesting. There were several experiences during the tour. We tasted whiskeys that we hadn't tried before. Our new favorite one is Black Barrel. We've bought a bottle now that we're back home and have shared it with a neighbor. He is now a fan! I recommend going on this tour. It's fun, educational, and it even has a cute little shop inside.

Our guide was Botak and he was amazing! Speaks great English and had lots of interesting information to share on the way up. Was so kind too (he even rescued an injured baby goat we found on the way down… carrying it over 2,000 vertical ft to safety! Seriously impressive to witness). He provided headlamps, food, and walking sticks. When we arrived at the Pasar Agung temple originally without a guide, the ranger insisted we needed a guide. So glad we did, as Botak was great in particular; and this trail is seriously challenging. We’re two fit 30-somethings, and it was still a struggle at points. The guides are about 1km down from this Pasar Agung. Cost for everything was 1.2million IDR (~$65 USD).

Be careful when you drive on motorbike from Amed to this location. Google maps will give you shortest way but it will be off road definitely. Only one correct way to Pura Pasar is from village Selat (screenshot attached). There you can find straight nice road to the top

The temple is 5/5 stars. So, so beautiful and absolutely worth visiting. The organisation around the temple feels like a mafia gang is in charge. We got charged double the price for the entrance compared to other tourists even after we negotiated for a better price. Had to pay for the sarong on top. No official pricing but you’re probably better off paying the gang guys. Seems some sort of ‚self-organized police‘/gang/mob. They’re running around with radios, biker jackets and bandanas. We had a chat to them and they said it’s ‚voluntary‘, as in they don’t get paid for their job.

Beautiful location close to the volcano! It'll cost 25K each to go inside the temple.Negotiate and the Sarong will be provided free of charge with the ticket. The drive up is very steep and the air pressure is lower at altitude. Make sure your brake pads are ok for the ride down, they will run hot so take it slowly. Most of the rental scooters aren't maintained according to the manufacturer's recommendations, be careful.

The only way up to Gunung Agung starting from this temple. To find the very start from the temple is the most tricky part. You have to walk through some disgusting trash, but this is really the only way there is. Entrance Fee is 100k per person Guide is 350k per person We started from the temple at about 01:45 and it was perfectly timed for the sunrise on the top (November) We went up the mountin without a guide in the middle of the night. It's absolut doable if you are a mountain person. First third is just follow the path though the jungle (there is only one path). There is only one crossroad after about 100m after you started from the temple into the jungle and there you have to turn right up the mountain. Second third is half rocks, half jungle. Also just follow the only path up, there is only one. Third third is only lava rock and it is a little bit tricky to find the way. There you need some experience to find the way to the top, but it's not as hard as you think. Just follow the general direction straight up and keep slightly on the right side. Up in the dark is honestly easier than down during daylight so remember the way for when you are going down. There is no major climbing involved. Dogs followed us all the way up to the summit. It's super cold (5-10°C) and extremly windy on the summit, so bring all your warm clothes you have!! As soon as the sun comes up it's getting warmer again, so don't be too early up there. Absolutly recommend a warm jacket, trust me you will need it on the summit. You will be most likely not alone on the mountain. Other people who are also on the mountain are a very good indicator where whe way is and can help you to find the way on the upper third section. The night I went up about 20 other people also went up. Basically you can just follow them, but the guides will get grumpy at you if you haven't paid them. Have fun and take care, it's a long hike

Great Mount Agung hiking experience started from here. 4 hours hiking up for beautiful sunrise overlooking Mount Rinjani.

About fees, guides and path start: Once you arrive you will be surrounded by guides which will try to scam you for 100 IDR per person to hike the mountain. I recommend the following: 1. Park your bike before parking lot so guides couldn't see what your bike was(they can and will harm your bike if you won't pay); 2. Do not pay and don't speak to them. They will threat you with calling police and will say some important ceremonies are happening(full moon or whatever random occasion). Of course do your homework and get to know if any major ceremonies happening actually so you won't be in trouble. 3. Then go up and before entering final steps to temple go left and forward. There will be a path which will go straight to the top without any unobvious turns. I will attach pictures of where to go. 4. It will take 4 hours to the top, so better come early and take food and water.
