Ian and Sue were perfect hosts! This was our first stay at a French chambre d’hôte, and it was a great welcome. They greeted us as we arrived on our bikes and helped us get settled. Sue took especially good care of me with my gluten free dietary restrictions. The location was very accessible on bike and it was in a quiet area. Would stay here again!
Sue is very knowledgeable and welcoming, making us all feel very at home while making our glass coasters. Excellent range of materials and expert guidance.
Sue runs courses in glass fusing and sells her lovely creations from her studio and shop in Caurel. Great place to visit after a trip to beautiful Lac de Guerledan.
Wonderful fun learning how to work with glass to create 'masterpiece' glass coasters! The time flew by for the whole family.
Excellent workshop. Great afternoon. Very friendly. Recommend highly
Fabulous place to either learn the art of fused glass or just buy lovely gifts.
Great little glass workshop/studio\giftshop, with fantastic B&B
Really fun family time together

What a lovely lake. Very picturesque. It has a man made sandy shoreline , there are cafes and a campsite nearby. You can rent a speedboat or a pedalo in the summer months or just sunbathe or swim. Winter it's all closed and quiet but still very nice.
We went for a ride out and found this lake big free car park has a pub on the lake Had a good time hear waking down the lake shore very quiet as it was in late September a good foot path hard gravel it had rained before we got there but there was no muddy puddles and we found loads of horse chests nuts in the summer you can hire canoes and boats even swim it has a small sandy beach and a boat restaurant but it was closed as not in season there a dam but it was to far for us to walk to needed more time there are toilets and cold showers for when you come out of the lake well worth a visit if you have the time
Amazing experience seeing the lake drained a few years back. It was fascinating to see the preserved trees, houses and reminants of slate mines. Also the cracked mud and little ecosystem that had managed to build up over the summer. Being on a pedalo on the lake a year earlier made it even more surreal.
Well worth a visit
Scenic location, peaceful, nice walks and lovely beach area
Peaceful and Tranquil area
Nice lake to walk around ,nice for families too
Lucky to live 30 mins away, visit regular with dogs, no rush of city life here, just peace and tranquility paired with beautiful views.
