Epic walk, exceptional day, wonderful host at site....the views, the experience... We walked from Reinosa to Fontibre to Argueso...fairly easy walk...great vibe and flow to the day. Personal opinion....this is epic venue for a wedding or party....recommend it for sure...for that. Put the caste with a stay at any place nearby...so many to choose from...this is part of an epic romantic life...live, love...WALK IT
A great place to visit with kids, we came during Easter holidays and booked tickets in advance. The castle is a masterpiece of a handcraft restauration, the guide at the reception explains the history of the castle, how it came to ruine and was restored. It's a pity we won't see one of the medieval festivals they organise. A hidden jewel of unknown Cantabria, highly recommended for those who like going sideways of the main tourist routes.
Beautiful area for a light hike with a dog, and then check the castle. Easy to park, very accomodating staff Nd beautiful castle with a more interesting history than it gives away. Love belt craftsmanship in restoration. If you are I. The area, it's a visit worth your time!
Nice castle but its like nothing to see inside
Beautiful reconstructed castle in nice and peaceful nature.
Very beautiful and skillfully renovated castle. Don’t miss it if you are around. For kids there is a quest to find the dragon‘s nest! Will they find it? Thanks for the kind reception!
The castle is quite small and can be visited in half an hour. Although the inside has very little to see in terms of how it was used in the past, you have to go just to see the carpentry. It's a work of art. I don't know how often they change the exhibitions, or if the paintings are there permanently, but I thought they were interesting and fitted in well. The lady who works there was really nice. If you're in the area go!
Small castle, nicely restored. Beautiful surroundings.

Amazing reproduction of a Celtic village which helps you to understand the origins of the people living in the area thousands years ago with the guided tour of the staff. It is off the major tourist guides of Cantabria, but it is worth dropping by, if you are interested in local history and archeology. You must drive through the existing current village following the indications and then continue on an unpaved road to the parking place. Then, you will make it in a 5 minute walk.
We enjoyed this place with our kids. Great staff and awesome experience.
Awesome historic site with very informative staff to teach you about ancient Cantabria.
(Translated by Google) The place is very beautiful and quite well preserved, although it requires a good walk through the countryside among cows to get there. We left the car in a parking area at the entrance to the cow path, where there's space for two or three cars. Beyond the fence, you can drive further and park closer to the Cantabrian village, but signs warn that there are loose animals on the path (cows), and that they are not responsible if anything happens to your car. The best part of the village is the explanation given by the guide throughout the tour, who explains everything and the history perfectly. At the end, she gives you some free time to take photos. It's definitely worth the walk. Highly recommended.
(Translated by Google) Yesterday I had the opportunity to visit this beautiful village with my family. I have to say that both the location and, above all, the explanations were incredible—10/10. The service was super friendly, and the way they explained things was very personable, showing the objects they made in ancient times. They also let you take photos inside the huts with different tools like the falcata. A very good experience, 100% recommended.
(Translated by Google) We visited the village as a family with three young children and had a great time. We loved it. The guided tour tells the history of Cantabrian villages, their culture, traditions, sustainable architecture and construction methods, defensive systems, and the construction of weapons and tools, etc. It was very interesting. It lasts a little less than an hour, but it's very enjoyable and entertaining, even for the children. At the end of the tour, we were able to stay and walk around the village, seeing the different cabins and even going inside to see all the tools and details. The children took part in a hunting workshop, which was very entertaining and well-guided. All in all, we spent a wonderful August morning with the family inside the village. We didn't think it would be so good. Highly recommended. The service provided by the people who run it and the person who runs it was excellent.
