The Fairy Tree makes the copse inside Marlay Park even more magical than it already is! Next to multiple small waterfalls and a stone bridge straight out of a fantasy film the tree stands in a small clearing and is adorned with heaps of pacifiers that children gave to the fairies. There are small doors and windows carved into the trunk. This is not consistent with irish fairies normally being the same size as humans, but that doesn't detract from the great scene. Sadly the carvings at the top of the tree apparently had to be cut of, but I'd guess they will be back, it seems to be a work in progress :).
Magical spot! A great destination for an adventure with the kids.
Went looking for tree and a local told us the tree got chopped down. Was long journey for nothing.
Beautiful! X ❣️
(Translated by Google) It is a fairy castle located at the top of a tree cut about three meters above the ground and with doors and windows at various points on the trunk. It is located at a beautiful point on the interior path of the park in the middle of a wooded area next to a stream and a small waterfall. What makes it even more special is that people from St. Michaels House, Templeogue, a project to help people with learning difficulties, will help the fairies in its construction.
