Beautiful place to visit, this temple is quite impressive and very soulful. Lots of pathways to walk around these very serene grounds. There’s little souvenirs shops, a couple of restaurants and lots of restrooms available. I ate a Beef/egg ramen soup with a Sapporo Beer and it was delicious and not very expensive (1500¥) You can also come directly with the metro as there is a station stop right at the front gates called “Harajuku Station”. A must visit! GOOD JOB!

I loved visiting Meiji Jingu. Although it is located in the very busy central Tokyo area, I found it to be peaceful and serene. The shrine itself isn't overly large but it is surrounded by luscious parkland. I really enjoyed walking through the park and exploring the different routes. The shrine and park were very busy and a popular spot for tourists as well as Japanese. I didn't find it overly crowded though and the people traffic flowed freely. I would highly recommend visiting here.

Such a busy Starbucks branch because everyone wants to see the view of Shibuya Street from above. It is only available if you make a purchase, which is why this location is always super busy. If you get lucky, you will find a seat by the window.

Great location of this Starbucks! We get to see the scramble crossing from the window. Lots tourist are here for the photos and views. Big and spacious inside. Lots of merchandise. AC is strong. Great for the hot summer. Some table and seats. But most people do take out. We ordered drinks by the counter. The staff are very nice and friendly. The drinks come out at reasonable time. Lots of customers here. I feel the drink sizes are a little bit different from the US. The flavor is definitely good.

This spot offers the best view of the famous intersection. You can come here absolutely free and take great photos of the intersection from above. Unfortunately, the place is small and noisy and crowded, but it's still worth the climb. And of course, you can have coffee and some dessert.

You'd think you could just go in, sit down and enjoy your coffee... Except the seating arrangements are ridiculous. There is just a handful of tiny tables (barely large enough to fit the trays), and if all of the tables are taken, you have no choice but to take a standing place... Even if you don't need a table and just need to sit down, usually every inch of the seatings is crowded, forcing you to squeeze in between people. If you're tired after walking through Shibuya, do NOT visit this store.

Near the world most famous crossing of Shibuya there is the nice commovent statue in the honor of most faithful dog Hachiko. It’s easy located in front of the station and absolutely It’s worth a visit to pay homage to him.

There is usually a small line in the square for those wanting a photo with the statue, just to keep things organized. I am not sure if he is always there, but a very kind and friendly Japanese old gentleman was helping visitors take photos - for free! That made the visit even more special. Totally worth it! Green, expansive, gorgeous. There are so many words that could describe Yoyogi Park but those are my top three. I loved the greenery, art, wildlife, and the First Flight Monument. A newfound favorite park! 🌿 It’s very clean and well-maintained, making it such a pleasant place to explore. I visited in winter (January) and loved that it wasn’t crowded. Just be sure to dress warmly so you can fully enjoy walking around. There are food stalls around, but since Shibuya is within walking distance, you’ll have plenty of dining options nearby. Definitely a must-visit spot in Tokyo!

Beautiful gem found right around the corner from Harajuku station. Conveniently located & within walking distance of Takeishita street shopping area. I went on a Sunday and it was busy but not crowded. The park is filled with gorgeous big lush trees, giving off such a peaceful vibe. I loved seeing the shrine and all the gates. This is a great place to come if you're looking to get a break from the hustle and bustle, to relax or have a little lunch. At the Yoyogi park main stage you'll find alot of events happening. Filled with live performances to tons of food tents. Highly recommends to stop by and take it all in.

If you continue and walk more to the centre of the park, it’s much quieter (it was also the end of the day, so it might me more crowded on the morning or early afternoon). People say it's like Central Park in NYC. It is indeed a big and enjoyable park. But I don't know why I can't find the huge pond with a fontaine in the center of the park. I think it is under renovation because I saw a huge circular metal wall in the park. Other than that, it is really a nice place to chill, walk, and sit under the trees. It is serene and so green!

There are 9 floors to explore. Each floor has about 10-15 shops, so they are not too large. It is mostly clean and organized. Prices are relatively cheaper compared to other big malls in Tokyo. When we were there, they had summer sale going on. Participating had discounts between 20%-80%. The staff in the shops are friendly, help with questions and fitting rooms. We spent close 40 minutes here, didn't find anything worth purchasing.

Cool spot but kinda feels like a side quest that ends too quick. The museum is small—you’ll blast through it in minutes—and unless you pay ¥1,800 for the guided tour (mostly in Japanese), you’re not getting much more than posters and old bottles. The tap room is the real draw, but beers run pricey at around ¥1,200 a glass or ¥800 for a sampler, and honestly the taste doesn’t live up to the hype. Worth a quick stop if you’re already in Ebisu Garden Place, but it’s more a polished detour than a full-blown adventure.

The name is うなぎ四代目 菊川 恵比寿ガーデンプレイス店. I had a set meal with three pieces of Unagi, a big amount of Sashimi, soup, rice and pickles. The amount was around ¥4300 yen. A lovely place to spend a evening with friends and family. Beautiful view of the winter illuminations and the main attraction as now (13-11-22) is the Baccarat Eternal lights with more than 1000s of crystals embedded in the 5m long chandelier. It’s just amazing to view and relax over the weekend. Museum of Ebisu beer is just right there but it’s closed for renovations until end of 2023.

Went there on 31st December, 2022. Beautiful place. The palace building has unique and eye-catching structure. Winter illumination and the displayed chandelier was gorgeous!!

They do not have a lot of restaurant choices but you might have to book a reservation before you came here.

Beautiful place with a few surprising sights (the french castel that is a restaurant for example). Take your time to properly walk around the area, otherwise you may miss some really interesting parts. Oh, and do visit the Photographic Museum, it's really interesting.

Harajuku is a fashion daydream—Lolita bows, vintage tees, and tourists balancing crepes. The station pops you right into Takeshita Street, but step two blocks and you’re in green, quiet Meiji Shrine. Youthful chaos meets sacred hush. Tourist Tip: For Meiji Shrine/Omotesandō, use the Omotesandō/Meiji-jingū side; for Takeshita, follow the obvious crowd. Chiyoda Line is at Meiji-jingūmae 3 minutes walk down the Omotesando street.

Late May 2023. Review is on Harajuku itself, not the station (though the station itself is very convenient) Go, walk. Shops and Crepes. The day we went it didn't seem that busy. We were on the main street, but the side streets seemed shuttered(?). It may be because we went late in the afternoon. Suggestion is probably go when you want a crepe for lunch (preferably at a time when not so many people are also looking for a crepe). Weekend would probably be cooler to see more people in their 'be yourself' wear. If I were with a younger group of people, I'd browse more. But was with my older brothers, so they weren't as interested, as just to have been there. lols, the tour group brought us all the way to the sailor moon store, which was cool, if I were with a younger group of people. =P. This was the last stop with the tour for the day. Brothers wanted izakaya - we went to Yokocho.

Boom, boom, boom!!! A must-visit place before you die. A bustling and unique place with full of vibes. Fashion, food, jewellery, pets, art, tradition, you name it. 100% you will forget about time around here. Only your stomach tells you when it needs your attention. Everything is near by the station. It is a fantastic area for a day visit from kids to grand parents. Just make sure that you visit here after your pay day or with an unlimited credit card. What an incredible experience Harajuku offers. 3 stars for me as I like a bit more humble places.

Maybe one of my favorite stations in all of Japan, old architecture (please keep it so) The station connected to the JR and Tokyo Metro lines. There is a lot of food street when you goes out the station, Harujuku station is more than a train station, its an Japan modern entertainment and style.

Newly renovated Harajuku JR Station in Japan, this is the most convenient train station to alight if you want to visit Meiji Shrine along with Yoyogi Park, Takeshita Street market and Omotesando Hills

One of my favourite streets in Tokyo: Takeshita Street. Packed with tourists, excellent shops and tons of purikura places.

Good place to have a nice walk, and there are restaurants that are nearby to get something good to eat. Very clean and peaceful. Right next to the city.

Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a prayer room in a busy Harajuku area. But they have no toilet for Wudu, only water spray was displayed, better to keep your Wudhu while visiting Harajuku. They also sell halal Japanese Souvenir with reasonable price. The staff was so kind👌🙏🏻

You can get many Halal certified souvenirs. They are from Halal-ya shop. Halal ramen, candies, snacks etc. There is a prayer room inside which can be used by anyone. You can buy beautiful kimono hijabs too.

Friendly staff that’s very knowledgeable about current interesting events in Tokyo. Also a good place to buy halal souvenir. And they have prayer room too!

We went here to pray. Please note that there’s no toilet or wudu area inside the center. But they have provided water bottles spray for wudu. Prayer mat and telekung is also provided. You can also give donation to help improve the prayer space as there’s a donation box provided. The person in charge is very welcoming and friendly lady. She even gave me a booklet containing where to pray and find halal food in Tokyo. This will be so useful for my future trip. Because the prayer space can only fit one person at a time, while waiting for turn, feel free to browse the halal food section. Thank you HTIC!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

The guides are very accommodating and very helpful! Just a tip on what to book/not book... Book the Sumo experience - super cool. Only book the robot restaurant if you want to experience a tourist catered night time cheesy light show centred around mainly drinking :) Good for a cheesy night out. Don't book an animal Cafe that isn't cats if you are not into animals being confined to small cages that are not their natural habitat or anywhere close to it and that are clearly hungry/bored out of their minds. The worst ones are the owl, otter, chinchilla, hedhog and other exotic animal cafes. We were in tears after visiting the otter cafe and regretted every minute of it. The otters were clearly mistreated and stressed out. A horrible experience and the worst side of Japan that I have seen.

This is the posh area home to luxury brands and boutiques. Besides this high end mall, don’t forget to explore the lanes off the main road. Stylish shops are strewn everywhere. Perfect place to learn about Japanese sense of fashion and aesthetics

Felt completely underdressed, but I had a mission - find a bathroom. And wow, what a bathroom. Spotless, futuristic, and probably cleaner than my apartment. The rest of the mall? Gorgeous. It’s like walking through a luxury spaceship designed by someone who thinks you can afford Dior. Come for the fashion, stay for the facilities.

Admire the amazing architecture by Tadao Ando while you shop your favorite brands. This places is beautiful and comfortable to enjoy. This is a must in Tokyo

Love this place. Posh but cozy. My family always finds time to visit whenever we're in Tokyo. High end and eclectic brands have great curated presence here. The mall is laid out uniquely with a continuous ramp that takes one all the way up to the restaurant level. There is a great children's store with nice small playground for young children on basement level. The restaurants above are great mix. Our fave is Kageyamarou Chinese Restaurant though. Everything is well made and the price is still quite reasonable, especially considering its location.

A cute little district full of retro-hip clothing and fashion stores. On the main throughfare is full of designer and luxury boutiques. The night Christmas lights are beautiful.

Visited 表參道之丘 today and I'm still in awe of the architecture. The combination of sleek lines, intricate details, and the clever use of space is simply genius. It's a perfect example of how design can elevate our surroundings and create a memorable experience.

Ando fans must come and see how he max put the use of the plot to keep the aura of the place while give roominess for the shoppers

Located conveniently on Level 4 above the JR station, accessing the bus terminal is straightforward. Simply locate the lift next to the Eggslut café, and you see a lift in front of it, which takes you directly to the terminal. The interchange serves as a hub for buses to major cities, airports, and sightseeing destinations. Ticketing is hassle-free, with both staffed counters and self-service machines available. These machines support multiple languages, accept major credit cards, and follow the high Japanese standards of clarity and efficiency. Tickets can be purchased days in advance or on the day of travel, depending on seat availability. Operations are smooth and well-organized, from ticketing to boarding. Luggage handling is equally efficient, adding to the seamless experience. One drawback, however, is the consistently long queues for the restroom whenever I visit. Overall, it’s a well-designed, user-friendly terminal that lives up to Japan’s reputation for efficiency.

In a rush hour Shinjuku Station. You have to look for NEWoMAN building or tourist information center or JR Shinjuku Station to get the Busta Shinjuku (Express Way Bus terminal to Kawaguchiko) . The terminal waiting room and Gates located in 3 floor (CMIIW)

First time taking a bus from here to Gotemba outlet mall. The expressway bus terminal is located on L4. It has a convenience store and a snack shop on the same level. Don fret if you are hungry. The place is well organised with information counter on site to assist with queries. Bought a ticket online (recommended to avoid disappointment) as it was the Golden week. But when I boarded..majority were tourists. So the GW did not matter as it was packed with foreigners. Pls buy advance ticket online. The electronic notice board will tell you which bay to go to for your bus. The bus leaves on time. Do not be late.

This bus station is huge and cover mostly trip in Japan. The departure is on 4th floor. In this floor you can also buy tickets, also theres gift shop and convenient store where u can buy ur food. The arrival is on 3rd floor. Make sure if u booked online the ticket, dont come late. The bus is on time

located in front of South gate of Shinjuku Station. This terminal is probably the largest bus terminal in Tokyo. Convenience store (Family-mart), ATM, and some restaurants are available in this building. Tickets are available via web pages or on the day with a vending machine / counter..It's very well marked-very easy to find across from Shinjuku station. It's a new, modern building on the fourth floor with a clean waiting room and restrooms and plenty of helpful staff.

The latest and largest hub terminal in Tokyo as of spring 2023, not to mention modern and pretty sophisticated place vertically connected to JR Shinjuku Station South Exits for the best train-coach travellers’ efficiencies. The people going northbound to Tohoku, westbound to Nagoya, Osaka and a way beyond and others like Mt Fuji/5 lakes district etc, check and hop on! Some drawbacks may be the lack of an extensive souvenir shop within the facility (tons of malls, shops and kiosks around, though) and the restaurants downstairs are mysteriously expensive (again, many of them open early mornings and all types of other eateries are just outside, though). Above all, its south-side open spaces are great!

Arrived refreshed from Takayama on the bus to Tokyo. Large well-organized bus station centrally located in town by the train station. Lots of people passing through but very well organized.
