3 hours jungle safari saw caged tiger and other animals like deer, etc.
🌿 I had an amazing experience at Chitwan Jungle Safari! The trip was well organized, the guides were friendly and knowledgeable, and I got to see rhinos, deer, and many beautiful birds. The nature, river view, and peaceful jungle atmosphere were unforgettable. Highly recommend this place to everyone who loves wildlife and adventure! 🌳🐘✨
Instead of using an agency, I went straight to the checkpoint and purchased the safari directly from the guide, Jungle Man, who is in the last photo. There is only one official operator of the jeep tours inside the park, and all the agents sell the same offers. I received offers ranging from 1600 to 2500 for the exact same trip. Ultimately, I purchased the safari directly from the guide for 1720, which included the entrance fee for the crocodile farm. Additionally, I paid 2000 for the permit, which is valid for one day inside the park and one day in the perimeter zone, totaling two days. Most people I spoke to did a 4-hour jeep safari inside the park, like I did, and a 4-hour morning hike in the perimeter area. There is also an option for a whole day hiking safari, but I don't have any feedback on that one. We also encountered at least three pairs of hikers inside the park. Such hikes require two guides for protection. Both the walk inside the park and the walk in the perimeter zone were highly recommended by everyone I spoke to. They mentioned that they could observe animals up close, and since the walk is silent and there are only a few people, it doesn't scare the animals away. The jeep safari was fantastic as well. We saw a total of 13 rhinos on seven different occasions. Additionally, we saw at least 100 deer that looked like Bambi, one large black deer, some wild pigs, multiple different bird species, and our jeep even got stuck in a ditch, which was quite exciting on its own. I regret not staying one more day to do the hike instead of rushing to Kathmandu. I had the time, and it would have been worth it.
Glad I have tried doing this while touring in Chitwan. Not very comfortable but it was a great experience!
It was a great experience. FOUR hours of ride inside jungle as a jungle safari was a big memorandum. We got chance to see one horn rihno, leopard, deer etc during this ride. The flying peacock was just amazing.
It was really nice experience in sauraha national park jungle safari and elephant riding.
It was great to dive into the real jungle. Don't expect to see too many animals from close of you go walking. Though you might see some crocodiles and rhino from far
An awesome place to spend all day long with friends. But tune down your expectation of watching wild animals running wild in jungle. Might happen if you are very lucky

We did a full day jeep safari with the United Jungle Guide Service and we have nothing but positive things to say. We chose the company as they do not advocate elephant safaris and were always respectful to the animals, maintaining a good distance at all times. Our guide was knowledgable and taught us a great deal about the wildlife. We were lucky to see a range of animals including a tiger, several rhinos and a sloth bear. We were also provided with a tasty lunch (at an extra cost). Overall a great experience!
Big thanks to United Jungle Guide Service. Highly experienced tour guides who respect the jungle. We booked with them because they are advocates for not riding the elephants or visiting the breeding centres, which we highly agreed with. We had a fantastic 2 days with the team. We did jungle walks, a canoe ride and jeep tour which we will remember forever. Prices were very reasonable and cheaper than going through our accommodation.
Incredible 3-Day Safari with United Jungle Guide Service I highly recommend United Jungle Guide Service (UJGS) for anyone visiting Chitwan National Park. We did their 3-Day Safari Soul package and had an unforgettable time exploring the jungle. From the first message, the team was responsive, professional, and flexible, even allowing us to postpone our booking by a day with no issues. Our guides, Prakash and Basanta, were outstanding: incredibly knowledgeable, passionate about wildlife, and deeply respectful of nature. They made us feel safe at all times, even during face-to-face encounters with rhinos! They went above and beyond to make sure we spotted as much wildlife as possible, and their dedication truly paid off: we saw monkeys, crocodiles, rhinos, deer, and even bears, which are notoriously difficult to find. We chose UJGS after reading positive reviews online and in the Lonely Planet guide, and they exceeded all expectations. UJGS is a cooperative of experienced local guides, meaning no middlemen, fair prices for travellers and direct income for the guides themselves. They were also the first safari provider in Sauraha, operating since the 1980s, and they stand out for their ethical approach: they do not support elephant safaris. Our guides could identify every bird, plant, and animal we saw. Their expertise and enthusiasm truly brought the jungle to life. I only wish we could have stayed longer! If you want a responsible, knowledgeable, and genuinely local safari experience in Chitwan, United Jungle Guide Service is the best choice.
A lovely time on safari with United! We did a canoe trip, two walking tours and a jeep tour which we really enjoyed. We booked with United Jungle as they were the only company we could find that didn’t do the elephant riding (nor the elephant or crocodile breeding centres) so we were very drawn to them. They reminded us that we should only observe nature and not disturb it and that we are only there to witness wild animals 🐵 🐊 🦚 🦌 🦏 🐜 🦢 🦅 We were in amongst tigers and sloth bears but we were seconds away from witnessing them with our own eyes! We had two great guides who were very knowledgeable and we really enjoyed the experience. We learnt a lot and loved the walking.
3 Days in the Jungle and we would have stayed 10 more! If you are looking for an amazing jungle experience with extremely knowledgeable, kind and animal enthusiastic guides, and an independent (guide owned) agency that values and supports elefant protection this is for you! We found this place via a blog post together with our hotel (Jungle Wildlife Camp) and were so happy to have followed the blogs advise. They were extremely responsive throughout the booking process and flexible to adjust our booking by a day due to heavy rains in Kathmandu. They organised a bus for us (baba Adventurers) and also offered a pick up from the bus station. Our guides Prakash and Basanta, were extremely knowledgeable. Guiding for over 20 years in the jungle, Prakash also guided and supported researchers on their expeditions in Nepal. It was truly wonderful joining them on the bird watching tour, the walking tour as well as the jeep Safari! We were doubting if three days (Birdwatching + Cultural, canoeing and walking safari, Jeep Safari) would be too much, but it was perfect. Next time we would even choose 2 days walking as you get much closer to animals and experience the jungle much closer. I would def recommend doing the 3Day 4Nights package and extend to 2 days walking if you have more time. I would not do half a day only, as the area you will be able to cover will be much smaller, as will be the chance to spot animals. Heads up! walking safari involves quite some walking, be prepared to get a little muddy. When should you go? We went in October which makes it more difficult to spot rinos and other animals due to the high grass. As this will be lower in Jan-March, you have a much higher chance of seeing many animals. Nevertheless, during October is mating season for Tigers and there is a decent chance to spot some, due to their activity! In the end, it does not matter when you go, as the team is putting in so much effort to spot some! Tip: Makes sure to get binoculars (one each). We were the few tourists that had some and it makes the experience sooo much better. We got one on Amazon for 30€ and they were fine! What did we spot? On the walking tour we managed to spot 3 Rinos (one which we woke up from its nap just meters away), a bear, deers, snakes, monkeys, birds, crocs, …! On the jeep Safari (go for the Full Day - to really cover a big portion of the part) we spotted many more birds, eagles, monkeys, rinos and a bear. We will def be back for spotting a tiger, as we missed them unfortunately. We did find a ton of fresh prints. If you are environmentally cautious and animal loving, this agency is also great, as they were the first ones not offering elephants Safaris! They sound ok but when you see the elephants riding thorough the city, you know why they should be banned. Overall, we found the prices super fair for the extremely high value they offered! (You can also pay by card)
We booked with them half day walk after 1h canoe and a jeep safari for the first day. We have seen a lot during the walk and boat ride. Jeep safari was not that interesting. Too many cars and too much noice. After that, we went on a full day jungle walk. That was great. Both guides were amazingly knowledgable about nature, birds species and helped us see a lot of animals. Raj and Anil were great guides. Spotting multiple birds with us and pointing us towards rhinos, crocodiles, turtles etc. it was a great walking experience. Highly recommend especially for bird watching lovers.
We had an amazing jungle experience with United Jungle Guide Service in Chitwan! We did a half-day canoe safari, about 1.5 days of walking safaris, an overnight stay in the jungle tower (“Tiger Tower”), and a two-hour jeep safari. Our two guides were excellent — friendly, professional, and made us feel completely safe. We learned a lot and saw so many wild animals: a bear, rhinos, monkeys, crocodiles, and more! We also really appreciated that the agency is against elephant safaris and follows an ethical code. Highly recommended!
Our safari with United Jungle Guide Service was an absolutely unforgettable experience! The service was first-class from start to finish. The planning process from Germany was completely seamless and the team tailored the trip perfectly to our wishes. Everything was delivered exactly as outlined in the initial program – and they even exceeded our expectations! I went on this trip with my father and we were both amazed by the professionalism and passion of the guides. They were incredibly helpful, extremely knowledgeable and deeply passionate about the national park and its wildlife. You could truly feel how much they love and care for nature and its conservation. They were able to identify every single animal – even every bird – and share fascinating details about them. A particularly special highlight was the effort they put into helping us see a rhino. For the first two days, we only had a brief glimpse of one. On the final day, the guides went above and beyond by extending the safari, and it paid off: we finally spotted a rhino in the evening! This magical moment is something we’ll never forget. Thanks to the guides, we also saw so many other animals in their natural habitat: bears, muntjacs, axis deer, sambars, monitor lizards, crocodiles and countless species of birds. It was incredible how many details they pointed out and explained along the way. This trip was truly one of a kind, and you can tell just how much the team is passionate about the park and its wildlife – and how eager they are to share this enthusiasm with others. We highly recommend United Jungle to anyone looking for an unforgettable safari experience. Thank you for this incredible adventure!

Bijay is just the best. He organized our safari to our complete satisfaction and helped us get some of the last seats for a bus back to Kathmandu during the busy chhat festival. Always friendly and urbanely.
An unforgettable trip to chitwan! For three days and two nights, there were almost no other tourists. It was all very primitive villages and jungles. A large number of birds were seen. At sunset, sika deer came out to look for food. Everything was very beautiful.
Bijay is a wonderful and very helpful person. We appreciated his help and efforts to create us a pleasant journey! Thank you so much!
Best place to book your activities in chitwan! Bijay was super nice, helpful, and have really good advices and an impressive amount of knowledge of the wildlife and nature of the national park! Highly recommended! :)
Best place to book your jungle activities around! Bijay was super helpful and full of knowledge regarding wildlife! We had the best times with those guys, highly recommend!!
I did a canoe tour and a jungle walk with Bijay, the owner, and a second guide. Thanks to the cnowledge, passion and love for his work we managed to see 4 Raihno. I strongly recommend this agency because it does not simply organize tours like others but really tries to make your stay in Chitwan and Nepal among the best, helping you wherever he can, on a really freindly and nice way.
We had a great experience! Saw lots animals and would recommend using this guide company

Fantastic trekking/tour company, very clear reasonable options presented well. We opted for a two day boat/canoe and trekking trip, 36km over two days, both the the canoe on the river and the walk through the forest were great, a real adventure. We saw 11 rhinos, tons of deer and birds, crocodiles, tiger tracks and even leopard poo! The guides were awesome and very knowledgeable with great stories and background on everything we saw.
The agency is run by dedicated Nature Guide who came from the population who have been living in an around the park for generations, due to their ancestral proximity they are rich in knowledge about the Flora and Fauna of the chitwan. The tour operator and guides are very passionate, experienced, helpful, friendly and fluently english speaking, a kind of people you would like to go with during your tour. The name of agency has changed from Jungle Excursion Guide Team to GOWILD Trek &Tours. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to have a adventurous and memorable tour in chitwan.
We really enjoyed our jungle walk and jeep experience. Both Dave and Ramod are very knowledgeable and prioritise our safety. Ramod is also very passionate about wildlife and conservation. It is very inspiring to hear his stories and contribution to the national park and community. Special thanks to Ramod for recommending and organising our tour. We will definitely be back again.
Wow!! These guys gave us one of the best experiences of our lives! They are super professional, super knowledgeable and some of the nicest people I’ve ever met! If you’re serious about wildlife don’t even consider booking a package in Chitwan, book your hotel then go visit these guys for a tailor made itinerary to suit you. We did the full day canoe and walking safari and we managed to see 5 Rhinos, 3 herds of deer, monkeys, both types of croc, countless birds, sloth bear and a leopard! Many groups we bumped into didn’t see anything! Not only are these guys the best they have a genuine care and passion for nature, they don’t endorse elephant rides and even picked up litter on our way round the park! Don’t book anywhere else!
Awesome!! If you want a real experience with people who genuinely care - do a safari trek with these guys. As well as engaging in decent conversation througout the whole day, their patience and expertise meant we where lucky enough to see multiple crocodiles, have monkeys rain fruit on us, watch herds of deer skip through the jungle, come face to face with a huge adult rhino plus see others from a distance, witness elephants chasing a rhino, climb trees for safe viewing, enjoy a sloth bear slowly waddle across the road, discover tiger prints, their claw marks and other ‘territory marking methods’ and if the day couldn’t get any better - we saw a leopard!! An all round excellent day that was authentic, exciting and safe which was topped off by Ramod and Zit’s professionalism, knowledge and passion for their work. Highly recommend!!
Ramod is a great guy with a big heart for animals. He just loves the jungle and likes to share this experience with others. he has 10 years experience, speaks very good english and knows a lot about the behaviour of the animals and it was really a fantastic experience with him in the jungle! and if you ask him he has always a good story to tell!
Try their signature tours. May stay at Hotel Rhinoceros Homestay after jungle exploration.
Very Good Human and Soft spoken Mr. Ramod Sunar. He is in this profession Since 10 years. Has a good knowledge of the chitwan national park
