Located in the Aube department of the Grand Est region, the Parc naturel régional de la Forêt d'Orient is a vast protected area encompassing approximately 70,000 hectares of forests, lakes, and wetlands. This is a paradise for birdwatchers, with nearly 300 recorded bird species, including grey cranes, black storks, and white-tailed eagles. Tree-top Adventures: Grimpobranches adventure park offers tree-climbing, zip lines, and family-friendly aerial courses. If you like single Trails (some a worth a bike ride), long hikes through the forest - or maybe Birdwatching, that's your place to go. And in off Season its not overly crowded.

From the moment you arrive, you're enveloped in a sense of tranquility and natural beauty. The lakes are stunning, offering a perfect spot for swimming, sailing, or just relaxing by the water. We loved exploring the numerous trails that wind through the beautiful forests—they're incredibly well-maintained and offer something for every level of hiker or cyclist. The wildlife is also a highlight; we were lucky enough to spot several species of birds and even a few deer. The park is a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, providing a peaceful and rejuvenating experience. Whether you're a nature lover, a family looking for a fun day out, or someone seeking a quiet retreat, this park delivers on all fronts. Highly recommended!

A lovely place to visit, offering a beach like experience but very much inland. As well as offering beaches and watersports, it also provides a lovely setting for a waterside walk with some lovely views over the lake. There are lots of facilities for snacks, food and drink ranging from snack bars to lovely restaurants so it’s possible to find something to suit all occasions.
