Great place to visit, such a pleasant place with so many different animals and the workers take real good care of it and work hard to keep it clean
If you are passing by and like reptiles, I think it is worth going, especially if you have small children as they usually like to see them up close. The place is small and quick to see. From what I can see, the animals are well cared for and there is a relatively adequate space for them. Perhaps if it could have a slightly larger space it would be better in my opinion. There is a small but good and pleasant playground for small children. For those who like shops, there is one at the exit.
Alligator Bay near Mont Saint-Michel is widely regarded as an excellent reptile-focused zoo, particularly popular with families and reptile enthusiasts. It features a diverse array of reptiles, including a large collection of alligators and crocodiles, rare Mississippi albino alligators, numerous turtles and tortoises, snakes, and lizards. Key highlights: The park is divided into thematic zones: alligators, tortoises/turtles, the "Labyrinth of Dragons" (snakes, lizards), and a dinosaur section. Visitors consistently mention how impressive and well-kept the animal enclosures are, with special praise for the spacious areas and attentive animal caretakers. The experience is very interactive, offering opportunities to touch giant tortoises, observe feeding times, and explore child-friendly exhibits and playgrounds. The park is clean and safety is well managed, which reassures visitors, especially families. Most reviews praise the park as good value for money, though a few mention it is a bit expensive for the duration of the visit. The visit typically lasts about 2–3 hours, making it an ideal activity for a half-day, particularly in poor weather. Staff are often described as welcoming, but a minority of visitors have noted less positive interactions at reception or in the shop. The only consistent criticisms are related to occasional unpleasant smells near reptile areas and the "dinosaur section" being underwhelming compared to other parts of the park. Free parking and accessible ticket pricing further add to its appeal. In summary, Alligator Bay is an engaging, well-run attraction best suited for families and anyone with a curiosity for reptiles. While not a full-day destination, it remains highly recommended, particularly as a stop when visiting Mont Saint-Michel. I personally would highly recommend it to anyone in the area or close by.
Was great for the kids to see those Alligators and Snakes and Turtles. But the conditions for the Animals is not really good. Many of the Lizards and snakes are caged.
top location, top visit, alligators were a little sleepy, turtles lively 🤣, great fun for the family, various snakes and lizards, worth a look Fantastic🤗
An unexpectedly successful visit full of surprises, including the chance to pet a turtle and spend some time with it. For kids, it was a fantastic three hours—and compared to the aquarium in Brest, it was 200% better. Crocodiles, alligators, snakes, lizards...
Alligator bay is a zoo near to Mont Saint - Michel around 5 minutes drive. It has a lot of reptiles like crocodiles, snakes, turtles, lizards, basically a zoo that specialized in the reptiles. If you are a big fan of reptiles, this is a heaven for you! you can even see reptiles from Sumatra which is where i am originally from, very interesting! definitely a recommended place to visit, the price of the ticket is also reasonable. For tickets, usually on weekdays, it should be fine to do walk-in but during the holiday season, perhaps ordering online might be a great idea!
Fantastic selection of animals. Lots to see! We spent over 3 hours here.
