Amazing place with a great children garden
(Translated by Google) Very nice museum that is informative and interesting. Definitely visit. Unbedingt besuchen.
(Translated by Google) The trip to the Oderberg Inland Shipping Museum was actually only intended for my child because he liked a picture of the museum on an excursion map. But I have to admit: Although I have nothing to do with the subject of inland shipping myself, I was completely impressed by this small but wonderful museum. The exhibition is very interestingly designed and informative without being overloaded. The museum tells a lot about the town of Oderberg, the landscape, the fishing and, above all, the ships. Many of them are very clear and the ship models are lovingly handcrafted, so you get a great visual impression and a lot of information. What's particularly nice is the ability to listen to information online using a QR code. My tip: Take your time to look at the many details and listen to the information via QR code. You should definitely take a look at the engine room on the ship “Riesa” outside! Here you can see what things were like back then and also get an impression of the noises in a machine room. I just hope the exhibits outside can stand the test of time. But what really rounded off the visit were the very friendly staff. They made our day at the museum even more enjoyable. My conclusion: A great museum that is definitely worth a visit, even if you don't know much about inland shipping. And I would go there a second time at any time, because it's completely impossible to grasp everything the first time.
(Translated by Google) It's an absolutely worthwhile visit there, Very, very beautiful exhibits and lovingly put together on the topics listed on the Internet. You should take at least 2 hours for both parts (indoor and outdoor area with paddle steamer)...
(Translated by Google) Very interestingly designed and informative, but not overloaded. The Elbe steamer is of course the eye-catcher on the outdoor area. There is also a special room for children with lots of information material.
