Great experience for adults and children alike. Doesn't feel like a museum but rather like going back in time 200 years, enter a country side house and seeing how everything is. Guidance is great, dedicated knowledgeable and patient. Highly recommended!
(Translated by Google) A very interesting experience. A house carefully curated down to the smallest detail. The sheer number of objects they've collected, each one more curious than the last, is impressive. Estibaliz's story of the hacienda was wonderful; it immerses you completely in the life of the house at every moment. The tour was much longer than 90 minutes, and yet we could have stayed there much longer, taking in every object, photo, piece of furniture, outfit... Highly recommended if you're in Liébana. The €6 is well worth it, and I'd even say it's a bit underpriced. It's advisable to book in advance.
This was the most interesting museum that we had visited in a very long time. We were given a wonderful welcome by the very knowledgable and informative guide, who was there as a volunteer. There was just the two of us and the lovely Estíbaliz and she gave us a wonderful tour of the house and grounds. The highlight was the barn, with its glass wall overlooking the valley and mountains - the perfect place to contemplate life and write the great Cantabrian novel.
(Translated by Google) A very interesting tour, steeped in the history of a wealthy rural family from the area. The house houses hundreds of objects that help you see how they lived and worked. The guide spent over two hours telling us about both the history of the house and the objects inside, in an entertaining and loving way. Reservations are required.
(Translated by Google) An extraordinary visit. It immerses you in that family's life, and it's incredible how they lived. Estíbaliz is impressive in how she explains everything and transports you back to that time. It's well worth the visit, and even though we were there for much longer than 90 minutes, it seems short. 100% recommended.
(Translated by Google) This visit to the past is a treasure I didn't know about and I'm glad I experienced. You delve into the history of this family and how they lived their daily lives. You feel as if Doña Mercedes or the rest of her family could appear at any moment. You see their utensils, their clothes, their furniture throughout their lives, and it all creates a very magical atmosphere that Estíbaliz explains to us. Thank you, Estíbaliz, because with all your knowledge and passion, you have transported us to another era. Thank you to all of you who have supported this project, to all your work in collecting documentation about the family and all its restoration. This is how we have been able to enjoy this experience. I wish there were more projects like yours so we could recover, see, and understand all our customs and history of families that existed like ours. I recommend that you do not hesitate to visit this museum of the Doñas' house; it is unique because you can see the love for preserving the history and customs of its people. Wonderful. Maravilloso.

For the future to be progress, it is built upon the past; conversely, without memory, there is no past, and without a past, the "future" is merely a barren passage of time. (Original) Excelente experiencia cultural.
(Translated by Google) Just great. We went with low expectations, after reading the Lonely Planet guide that this was the only interesting thing in the area. The explanation and guided tour is impressive. The guide's passion and level of knowledge and attention to detail make the visit very special. I don't know if it's about seeing something from another world, if it's not like traveling in time, going back 60 to 80 years and taking a look at the past. Highly recommended and the guide makes it simply unbeatable. It is worth it without a doubt. It is advisable to call ahead and make sure there is space on that day and the hours of the visit. (Original) Simplemente genial.
