I visited Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium and found it absolutely worth seeing. The highlight for me was the massive manta rays gracefully gliding through the water—truly spectacular and mesmerizing. As for the whale sharks, they didn’t impress me as much because I’ve previously swum with whale sharks in Cebu, but first-time visitors would still find them impressive. The aquarium features a wide variety of unique and unusual marine creatures, making the visit both surprising and educational. It’s a great experience for anyone interested in marine life. The only downside was the aquarium’s restaurant, where the food was mediocre and overpriced, but this didn’t significantly affect the overall experience. Overall, Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium is a must-visit spot in Okinawa. Whether you’re with family, friends, or alone, it offers a wonderful opportunity to get up close with marine creatures. The manta ray display, in particular, is truly unforgettable.
I am not a fan of aquarium but this was amazing. Highlights of this aquarium is the whale shark and the manta ray. It is a magnificent view! There are a lot of interesting fishes and sea mammals I have never seen before. Worth a visit. Admission tickets are available on site and I think going on weekdays is better. Not too crowded. Parking is a little distance away from the aquarium. There is no direct parking there.
A good visit if you have the time. I was most impressed by the variety of species they have and, of course, the whale shark. We went on a Friday and it was PACKED though we didn’t need to purchase tickets ahead of time. There was a lot of patience practised with waiting turns to see some of the exhibits. Would definitely get there first thing to avoid crowds. Lots of bathrooms throughout and in October there were many food trucks at the exit.
Highly recommended! This aquarium is suitable for all ages, with an abundance of marine life and a well-planned visitor flow. You can see the famous whale shark here, and parking is super convenient! I recommend parking in P7; it's close to the entrance and has shade.
The wait to get into the parkade probably took 30mins, wife got tickets online while waiting so we didn't have to wait in line for tickets. If you're hungry, the lunch buffet is pretty decent, good variety. The cafe inside the aquarium is very busy and packed, when we went there was some food trucks as well but it was raining. The aquarium itself was great, very informative, very cool, and lots of variety. A lot more time to see the rest of expo park with the dolphins, the show, the sea turtles, the cultural area, observatory, beach, etc. we spent 2 hrs just inside the aquarium
Churaumi Aquarium in Okinawa was absolutely amazing. The massive Kuroshio tank with whale sharks and manta rays was breathtaking — it felt like watching the ocean come alive right in front of you. The layout is easy to explore, and the exhibits are beautifully designed to show Okinawa’s unique marine life. The dolphin show and outdoor sea area were also great for families. Definitely one of the best aquariums in the world and a must-visit spot in Okinawa.
I found the Okinawa Aquarium very educational. I especially liked the section where they used red LED lights on models to show which parts of certain sea creatures are dangerous, along with the real species beside them. The viewing deck was spacious, and we got to watch the dolphin show too. I went on a Saturday and the crowd was okay, still comfortable to move around and view all the exhibits.
Far and away the best aquarium I've ever seen. So many amazing tanks including the biggest one in the world with a whale shark. Mesmerisng. Such a cheap price to see a major world class sight - it would be 5X that in Europe. With zoos, you worry if the space is sufficient for some of the animals but with fish so I don't think it's a concern. This place is clearly doing serious conservation research so you are supporting a good thing. Take your time and savour each creature and every tank.

The show is included in the aquarium entry ticket so I recommend watching if you’re there and have the time! It was really fun and entertaining, but it wasn’t very long. But I still enjoyed it a lot!
I have not watched a dolphin show in years mainly because I do not support in capturing wildlife just for the sake of human entertainment. But I have to admit that it is always exciting to see such beautiful creatures appearing in front of you. I was only able to see the last few seconds of the show and I still hope that one day the dolphins would be able to return their real home.
The dolphins show was amazing. Very funny and fantastic performance. Must watch this show if u r visiting the Churaumi aquarium.
No admission ticket required, very good aquarium as having different stages for performance, young crew and young dolphins added dynamics, Seaview with breeze, good shading, extra ordinary performance.
Dolphin shows are always fun to watch! No umbrellas so choose your seat wisely, out of he sun and rain. Most of the seating is covered. Once the show starts they will not let you in if there's no room to sit/stand.
All wet! They should really provide more explanations when asking people to sit nearby, especially since we think there could be opportunities for feeding and interacting with dolphins. Most of us are tourists and families! I saw kids crying crazily after the show because they got wet unexpectedly.
Great and funny dolphin show! Was very enjoyable to watch. The dolphin instructors put on a great show! They make the dolpins do all kinds of different tricks!
Poor animals. So sad that they have to live in these small tanks. In this way, people are misinformed about the natural behaviour and habitat of these animals. Animals were showing a lot of stereotypical behaviour, which means they are stressed.

This is a wonderful place for adults and kids. Over the seven years we lived in Okinawa we went here at least a dozen times. It's amazing what they have to show and how well it is maintained. The touching pond is a great way to help kids overcome their fear of what's in the water. The whale tank is a sight to see. Go there for the fireworks
I like the cafe! Lucky us we dont need to fall in line or wait longer. We pay 500¥ for a 40mins window seat! You can order drinks or chips if youre not that hungry.
Gorgeous! Definitely go after 4pm though. It's cheaper, less tourists and your photos will probably be better. Dolphin show is free so look at that too. We just ate at the buffet because we were hungry but it wasn't bad. Definitely search for places in town with high ratings if you aren't as hungry as we were
Japan @ Okinawa Ocean Expo Ma.. scenery view is beautiful and fun.
World’s largest aquarium. Great place to bring the family and spend the day. Tons of fun things to do without having to spend a lot as well.

It’s called emerald beach and I know why it’s named like this. The color of water is as clear ad emerald. It was a bit cloudy when I got there but I’m sure when it’s sunny bright day the beach will shine like a jewel and clear green emerald.
This is the best beach I have ever been to. Crystal clear water, and swimming area with jellyfish nets. There are free cold showers and paid hot water showers with changing facilities.
Nice artificial made beach, but it is nothing special. A lot of lifeguards, actually too much… water is shallow with max. 2m at the buoys…. but ok, safety first. Not crowded, empty on Sunday in July. Water is clean.
What a beautiful beach!! The water was clear and the beach wasn’t crowded. No snorkelling, which is actually good if you want to enjoy a nice swim without bumping into anyone (although the snorkelling in Okinawa is amazing!). We had access as we stayed in the condos just up the street, but the hotel was beautiful from what I saw.
A short walk from our hotel, with the sun out the water was crystal clear. I liked that it was not busy.
This is my most disappointing experience in Okinawa. I drove 2 hours from Naha to find out that the beach is closed today. Why? The reason is not announced on the loudspeaker or in the announcements, and there is no information on the website. It is October 23, 3 p.m., and the weather is beautiful and sunny, with no rain or waves. WHY???? It is frustrating, especially since they did not even provide a reason.
It's nice but honestly very disappointing given the excessive control of so many guards, the amount of concrete spoiling the feeling of being in nature and the constant sounds of communication by the megafons leaving a vibe you're in a train station in Tokyo. It must be nicer if you are with young kids though, like a water park.
Damn good beach for young children. Older folk looking for more adventure or snorkeling or fish might be disappointed, but for young children looking for a safe place to enjoy the sea sand and sun, this is it! Infrastructure is acceptable for public beach though. The male shower was good. I heard the female toilet and shower was a disaster though, so be mindful of that!

Absolute paradise! Sesoko is one of the most amazing beaches I've ever been to! Good snorkeling and great sunsets. The water is crystal clear, sand is soft and there is coral to explore with colorful fish. The public beach parking is 1000 yen per day just yards away. They have umbrella and chair rentals and you have to pay for bathrooms/showers. You can also buy jet ski float rides, which look like a lot of fun. We pay for parking and bring our own umbrella and beach chairs. Heads up- the snorkeling area is netted off and they are strict about staying inside the net. There is also a lifeguard on duty. Tips: -Bring YEN for parking. Sometimes the credit card access is broken -Bring a small cooler with snacks and drinks -I'd recommend bringing fins if snorkeling. The currents can pick up -Check the tides before coming out -Water shoes for sharp coral
The beach itself is beautiful – no doubt about that. But be prepared: around 5 PM everything shuts down. No toilets, no showers, nowhere to rinse off your feet. If you're desperate, you might be able to sneak into the Sheraton next door – there’s a shower at the top of the stairs – but that's at your own risk. On the plus side, this beach is actually deep enough to swim even at low tide, which is a big deal in this area where most places turn into puddles.
Great Beach • Parking: ¥1000 fixed price. • Beach: Beautiful, but the main area can be busy. • Recommendation: Skip the main chair rental area and walk to the right along the shore. You'll find a quieter cove with nice shady spots under the rocks and great scenery for photos. We loved it there!
Very nice clean beach - would definitely visit again. Wasn't crowded at all when we were visiting - might have been due to the weather though. There is a safe swimming area and rental water sports equipment available. Parking costs 1000 JPY per day, although there are a few grey zone spots for free parking.
Such a beautiful place and a mesmerizing gift nature has provided us, the water is calm and warm, perfect for snorkeling the whole day and explore the reef as far you can go for. When the sun hits the water, everything is crystal clear, the rain made cooled off the day but still the swim was enjoyable. What can I say about the sunset, just as lovely as it can get, one of nature's finest hours that someone can capture and keep it as an experience for the rest of their life. Beautiful.
Snorkelling on the beach within the netted swim zone had various small fish in clear shallow water. Paid tours were offered at the beach to better reefs sites. Beach offers beautiful walk along the coastline that has small caves and coves.
Water is not deep, only waist height (I’m 1m87). Also the sea doesn’t have sand, but rather a layer stone/dead coral, not easy to step around without sea shoes… Lots of fish to spot if you have goggles or snorkel, but again the water is not deep. And it wasn’t clear due to many visitors. Also very busy on a Friday afternoon, parking was 1000yen and a 5minute walk from parking to the sea. There are showers, toilets and a vendor which sells drinks/shaved ice. Can also rent sun-bed/parasol which was 4400yen I believe. (Rather expensive) P.s. if you walk to the left when going down the stairs, there’s a very nice spot to chill, I would suggest checking it out because the beach itself is not interesting.
One of the most beautiful beaches we’ve ever seen! There’s a smaller, guarded swimming area, but you can walk to the far end for stunning views and more privacy. Swimming is only allowed in the designated zone. Showers are available for 500 yen, and toilets are free. You can rent snorkeling gear and try various water activities. A small bar offers fast food and drinks, accepting both card and cash. Parking is available for 1,000 yen (for 2–3 hours), and it also accepts card.

Cute island to have a day trip and explore. There is a town map for walking to all the memorials. We parked and walked to the other end. It's got beautiful views looking back onto the mainland. There are many cafes to grab bites to eat. In the summer there are rental places for any water sport. Parking was free in the off season as places were closed. There is a fee to park during the season when the rental places are opened.
Fantastic viewing angles and beach. The beach has a lot of red ants the further up you go though. Wonderful hidden cave at the end of it
This gonna be your ultimate get away in this island. Peace and scene that's what it's all about.

beautiful beach with coral washed up all around. The gorgeous green-blue colors of the water that makes me L♡VE my birthplace forever! This was my 1st time on the small, croissant-shape island. It was a quick 30-minute or so ride on the ferry from the main Okinawa island. Be aware that the island DOES "shut down" from Nov 1st- March (can't remember the day), meaning you cannot buy food there. I did see a drink machine, so drinks are possible. Remember to take your trash WITH you!
Perfect day trip from Okinawa main island. We took the 11am boat & returned on the 16:30pm boat (check boat schedule online & buy tickets only in person), it was a relaxing day with also some fun activities - recommend the snorkelling sooo many beautiful fish! There are stands selling equipment/umbrellas/beds etc. but very overpriced, bring your own if poss! Originally I wanted to go to zamami island but the boat fully booked, this was a perfect alternative & felt less touristic. Would recommend anyone looking for island day trip & crystal clear waters!🐠🩵🌊💎
I made the dive near the island and it is a paradise even under the water, with several corals and fish one more beautiful than the other, for those who are visiting this wonderful country, I recommend having an experience also under water Photos by Aloha Divers Okinawa. I recommend this company for those who want diving service, service in English, Portuguese and Japanese
Our group just found this island in the suddenly when we don't know where the next beach should go for the rest days in Okinawa. Take a ferry about 30 minutes or more( I don't remember clearly) and land in island at 12p.m. The water is so cool, beautiful color with white sand. You can enjoy diving or cano driving but have to wait from 1-3 hours. However, almost people I saw in here would rather swim. Don't forget bring junk food and water because it's less store or restaurant stay nearby
Minna Island: Jan-March and Nov-Dec hours are different.
I stronly recommmed all of u guys scuba diving here.lots of beautiful coral u will see.
If paradise exists it's called Minna-jima! This island looks like a croissant and is very easy accessible from Okinawa.

Beautiful and Relaxing Tropical Dream Center is a peaceful oasis filled with exotic flowers, lush greenery, and beautifully designed greenhouses. The orchid collection is especially stunning — one of the best we’ve seen! It’s well-maintained, not crowded, and perfect for a relaxing walk or a break from the beach. The view from the tower at the end is a great bonus. If you enjoy nature, photography, or simply want a quiet, beautiful spot to explore, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
If you have not gone you need to. This place is amazing to see. If you want to see the jungle without the worry of what could eat me. They have amazing green houses. The self guided tour takes normal people around an hour. Took us hour and half. There are ac breaks along the way as it can get quite hot. If you are going to the aquarium, might as well stop by ins in the parking lot. Plus there is a cheap local taco rice shack across the street which is to die for!
What a beautiful and stunning botanical garden! It's definitely worth a visit. We saw so many orchid flowers in one place. We were coming in the evening hours and were able to watch the sunset right from the tower in the middle of the dream center.
Really cool experience! I loved all the different areas and seeing so many species I had no idea existed! You can take an elevator to the top of the observation deck which had incredible views! Very interesting landscapes and designs and the place really flows as you work your way through. If you don’t stop to read all the plaques, but take your time and go up the tower I would allot 2 hours- there really is so much to see. If you want to take your time you could probably spend a half or full day here. We went at 4pm with a 6pm closing time and had no trouble getting in or getting tickets. This was end of October, so could’ve been a slow time.
Finished the aquarium in 2 hours with lots of time to spare. Ended in this hidden gem which is imo much more interesting than the aquarium. Lots of flowers and photo spots. Be sure to make your way up the tower for breathtaking views of the entire area.
I’m speechless – this is a true hidden gem in Okinawa! Even if it wasn’t right next to the aquarium, the Tropical Dream Center is worth a visit on its own. And even if you’ve already been to the aquarium – go anyway. It’s calm, peaceful, and surrounded by beauty. Every step feels like a postcard – photo-perfect at every turn. The self-guided layout is a brilliant idea: take your time, walk at your own pace, and truly appreciate the incredible effort it takes to maintain such a stunning place. Plan at least 3 hours, slow down, and soak it all in. No rush – just pure, tropical serenity.
We were disappointed by the Aquarium, but the Tropical Dream Center made the two hour trip to get there absolutely worth it. A stunning garden center with orchids, fruit trees, a myriad of colorful plants and lush vegetation. A must see!
Lovely place, we were rather late (2h before closing) when we entered and had the entire place to ourselves. No issues, just beautiful plants, trees and whatever counts for tropical fauna

If you came to the aquarium it is totally worth it to come to the little village. It's so cool seeing the homes recreated and getting a little bit of History!
A free and lovely little Okinawa village. Fun to look around after the aquarium.
Had some time before taking the bus and saw this attraction. A real surprise! Felt like time travel — really loved the music and ambiance.
A free, interesting reconstruction of traditional-style houses from different time periods. It was cool to see what they looked like and who might have lived there. They have audio in several languages so you can learn about the buildings. The goats were a bonus too!
Ok, so there are a lot of boards explaining how Ryukyu villages were arranged, the spirituality (Noro priestesses), the agricultures... I didn't expect so many informations and I was very pleased!
This was a really interesting reconstruction of village buildings from across Okinawa and Kyushu. It didn't take long to walk most of the paths including the botanical garden. Don't plan on spending all day here. Maybe a couple of hours.
Nice open air museum, that introduces traditions and culture of Okinawa. Everything was tagged in English, so it helped a lot to learn more about the island. You can feed goats in one of the corners by the music hoise. However, ladies at the music house were not interested in us at all, they wouldn't even say hi or look at us, as if we weren't there...
Such a cute place! I love diorama/mock villages. I think they are a neat way to step back into history for a bit. This place has old Japanese farm houses/houses in general from the last few hundred years to the pre war era. Each one has an English sign and English audio for you to learn more. A fun addition to the tropical dream center or the aquarium.

Great Experience of Scuba diving. Must Visit if you're in Okinawa
Best beach in Okinawa! Went snorkeling on the other side of the lifeguard as they require you to wear a life jacket if you snorkel. Water was shallow. Saw some really cool fish and coral!! Beach is super clear and blue. It had bathrooms at the port and some vendors selling swim stuff. Definitely bring some water shoes some parts can be a little rough.
This beach is perfect for relaxing and swimming in crystal clear water. The ferry ride is short, only about 15 minutes. Upon arrival, there are three vendors renting umbrellas, chairs, life vests, and other beach gear. We rented an umbrella for 2,000 yen, and a staff member carried it to our spot and set it up for us, which was convenient. We brought a small cooler with lunch, snacks, drinks, towels, sunscreen, and snorkel gear. While the water is stunningly clear, there are only a few very small coral areas with fish, so it is not ideal for snorkeling. Unfortunately, the lifeguard was aggressively whistling at anyone using a snorkel and insisting they wear a life vest, which was frustrating. We ended up just using our mask and fins. Another downside was that the umbrella staff tended to place visitors very close together. Our umbrella ended up only about three feet away from a family of five, which made the experience less relaxing. Overall, I would recommend visiting this island for a one-time relaxing beach day and to enjoy the beautiful water, but it is not the best spot for snorkeling or privacy. -NO SNORKELS ALLOWED WITHOUT A VEST -There is a lifeguard on duty. The swimming section is roped off but NO NET -There are TITAN TRIGGER FISH 27+ inches towards the back of the rope. IYKYK. -You can pay to be pulled on a raft behind a jet ski
Was so lucky. Magic of sun light breezing thru transparent air & water. Never seen such deep blue ocean and sky. A must-go place for family tourists.
incredibly beautiful!!! highly recommend. they have stands there with water activities. i highly recommend the snorkling. its an hour long and its so much fun
Simply - unforgettably beautiful beach...!
It was very nice and clean beach to do the snorkeling. Children much more like this place, they could see lots of fishes inbthe see.
The lifeguard will make you rent a lifejacket or otherwise you're not allowed to use the snorkel. Better snorkeling elsewhere, but nice to lie down with beautiful sea if that's what you're after.

This place is very underrated and underpriced. It’s located in the same area as the aquarium so it gets overshadowed. If you only want to visit this place without going through the aquarium, you can do that as well. The entrance fee is only ¥180 for adults and kids are free. If you like history this is a good place to visit. If you’re Pacific Islander, this whole museum is dedicated to the Pacific Islands. There’s a planetarium in there with different showing times. It’s all in Japanese but they give out headphones so you can follow along with a translation in the language of your choice ( they have English, Korean, Chinese etc..). Overall a great experience. Overall a very interesting and great visit.
The cultural museum and plantarium was very nice after touring the aquarium. Loved the vessels and the boats, learned a lot of the Okinawa culture too.
This place is very cool. Affordable entry, free translation for the planetarium and a wealth of information. There is even a large children's area for families to relax out of the heat and let their children play. Do not miss it if you have been to the aquarium!
We went to the oceanic culture museum planetarium on a Thursday in June, and we had an amazing time. It was very quiet, we practically had the museum to ourselves in most areas. There is limited English translations (you can tell the Japanese captions go into more detail than the more brief English translations); however, the museum relies heavily on visual representations and artifacts such that this didn’t impact our experience as visitors to Japan. The planetarium was a lovely surprise - perhaps one of the best planetariums we’ve been to! We saw the show Okinawa’s Beautiful Stars and would highly recommend catching that show or another one if you visit - they run shows fairly frequently. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. Overall, this was a highlight of our stay in Motobu and we’d highly recommend you include on a trip to the area and/or Ocean Expo Park.
This was a great unexpected bonus to the aquarium visit as we came across it walking through the park. The planetarium was really well done with an informative and fun animated film about ancient Polynesian marine navigation techniques, which was a whole different angle from any other planetarium I’ve been to and the English translation headset was really handy. The Polynesian marine culture exhibition hall is cool too with well thought out and informative displays. I notice some people say the info is mostly in Japanese but it’s not. If you bother to follow the route upstairs there’s English translation of everything too but the signs next to the boat displays are only in Japanese, so if you want to just quickly look at those it could be slightly improved and that is obviously what those people did. It cost peanuts to enter, I think it was ¥380 total for 2 adults and 2 elementary school kids. It’s very under attended which is surprising but nice for those who do go. I really enjoyed it actually and the kids were super interested.
Such a wealth of info! If you’re going to the aquarium without going here you’re missing out! They have the largest amount of info for everything related to the Pacific Islands. It’s an inexpensive museum and you also get to see a planetarium show for free while you’re there. If you’re not a Japanese speaker they offer headsets that will translate the show. The staff are kind and helpful. It’s also a great place to beat the summer heat!
Another great place if coming to Okinawa. The aquariums are all separated into sections and performances. Great views again for photos and many places AMD food trucks to have lunch. Definitely recommend it here!
Loved the trip there. Was able to see sea creatures I've never experienced before. Whale shark was the most incredible thing about the time there as well as the dolphins as the interact with you if they see you. It is worth the trip for those interested in the sea and what Okinawa has to offer in experiences.

If you want to visit an unusual, strange but also typical Okinawa place than don't miss to go to Motobu Town Market! For me it was like floating in a dream... I really want to go to visit it again!!! Missing it very much!!!
We went on 27 Aug Tues around 2.30pm. Disappointed as Not many shops were opened. The Motobu market has some food shops selling rice/ flour etc. But no sushi or restaurant were opened. Just opposite to the market, there’s a local soba shop with long queue but we did not join the queue. After 5 mins there, we left for sushi in Nago city.
Could have been a one star as almost 90%of the shops are closed and left with just a few still surviving. The area is like a deserted place, and I didn’t have a one star just because probably some other days there might be a few more shops open. Not worth to come, do something else instead.
There’s a relatively new Sunday market (January 2023) featuring homemade goods. food, earrings, music, Black Lives Matter coffee shop, pottery and glass. Lots of happy young parents, children running around. Strong counter-culture vibe that’s not commonly seen in Japan. Very fun.
(Translated by Google) My grandmother used to sell tempura here, so my heart warms every time I come here. It's not a place where you can feel the ``glamour of Okinawa'', but if you're traveling, please stop by and get a feel for the way Okinawans lived in the good old days. Young people are opening new shops, and there are various shops around the market, so this market is the center of the neighborhood. Parking is very convenient as you can park for free around the market and along the river.
(Translated by Google) It looks quite old from the outside. I tried to go inside to visit. There were many closed stalls. There are some frozen meat shops outside, souvenir shops inside, and shops that make handmade necklaces and bracelets to try yourself. I also saw a shop that sells food but it seems they sell in the morning. The bus stop outside has a free bus (can't search on Google because it is not maintained regularly) you can go to the aquarium from here for free. The bus photo I took at Motobu market so you can click to see details in the QR code (Original) Nhìn bên ngoài khá cũ. (Translated by Google) I used to go to this market a lot as a kid. Above it was the headquarters building, and they used to show free anime movies there during summer vacation. Now, the headquarters building is closed, but the market had a fair few shops. There weren't as few as there are now, though... There was a sashimi restaurant, a butcher, and a clothing store. I even had my uniform made there, but the shop run by the lady who made it closed, probably due to old age. Familiar shops are disappearing one after another... There's even talk of demolishing this market and making a new one... After more than 50 years, it's aging, and it would be extremely dangerous if a major earthquake were to hit here. (I'm not in favor of the market disappearing, though...) It's a place I have a lot of attachment to, so I'll be sad to see it go. (It's a place I've been familiar with since I was a child...) But I was surprised to see the new rest area, bonito bench, and coffee shop. I sometimes go for a walk by myself, but... It's sad to see the place slowly lose its charm every time I go. I used to go to this coffee shop here with friends, but now I just buy takeout when I want a drink... It's a shame I can't go inside because I don't have time to relax. The coffee is delicious, and there are shops that also have great sweets. If you're visiting Okinawa or from far away, please be sure to stop by.

Went here when it was raining and thankfully not many tourists. Plenty of parking nearby the entrance. Entrance fee is ¥500. Paths are marked for full view of the entire garden. Other flowers are in full bloom as well as the pretty blue hydrangeas. Easy to find just follow signs.
It was raining and the skies were gloomy. But the garden brightens up the day. The rain did not make it less enchanting but enhanced the experience. The stone steps were slippery and kinda steep for those with weak knees. The garden looks beautiful and smells wonderful, you can see the effort and love put into the plants. They have beautiful large Medinillia shrubs in vibrant reddish pink and Hoyas flowering on tree ferns for plant people to enjoy. The oriental hydrangea version in shades of blue of Monet's lilies painting. Definitely worth the visit.
500yen admission fee for adults. Flowers were just past peak bloom in mid-June 2025. A nice way to spend an hour, but be sure to bring water, sunscreen and a hat as there's only a few shaded spots along the walking path.
Gorgeous garden to stop and take the beauty of nature in. Located in Nago there are many paths to take and to discover exotic tropical flowers one might not see else where. We spent about an hour walking around taking photos and trying to catch butterflies on camera. We were worried the recent typhoon might affect the pretty flowers but fortunately the petals were not destroyed. These delicate looking flowers are stronger than you would expect and prettier in person. There was parking on site and the fee to enter was 500 yen for adults and 200 yen for students. There was a little cafe for refreshments and lots of photo opportunities!
If you like flowers, nature, gardens, or pretty things - this garden is breathtakingly exceptional and well worth the trip. We spent about an hour meandering through the gardens, taking lovely pictures, and thoroughly enjoying our time. Google maps got us to the parking lot without difficulty. Bring Yen for admission and the cafe if you want a snack (we got shaved ice) at the end. We arrived late in the day (around 4:30P) and it was perfect because the sun was starting to fall behind the hillside and the weather pleasant. We will definitely return.
Stunning garden, we came a bit early so there was still lots of green in the hydrangea fields. It was still absolutely gorgeous. There are benches to rest and enjoy the beauty. It wasn’t crowded so it felt very peaceful. There are lots of stairs but it’s so beautiful at each different level. Definitely not stroller friendly.
Beautiful garden with a Cafe, excellent for a quick stop. Entry fee 500 yen.
Super cool place to visit. Lots of flowers and it's laid out in nice trails. Even with a bunch of people there it wasn't bad. There are other places close by to check as well like a natural rock garden and jungle photo land.

Loved this beach. The coral is almost exposed and very much alive. Walk on the rocks to the left and you can almost circle the little island.
Easily accessible beach, paid parking right next to the beach. Great views of the bridge too, and a small pier perfect for sitting and enjoying the views. Seems to be free parking next to the toilets right after you get off the bridge, only 5 minutes walk to the beach. I imagine the views would be even more spectacular in good weather.
What a wonderful beach! It's a spacious coastline where beautiful fish swim near the shoreline - it's the perfect place for snorkeling🤿 At the bar, we were able to enjoy delicious acerola beer and lovely snacks. We were able to spend time relaxing at this beach, and it felt very pleasant. It's definitely a lovely place I'd like to recommend ❤️
There is a pier you can walk to and sit on but it is blocked from parking so just go past the rope! The water is beautiful and so clear, perfect for snorkeling! We saw some tiny fish and a huge sea turtle! But we also saw thousands of tiny jelly fish so we did not jump off of the pier into the water. (Jellyfish season ends around October) it is a very secluded spot so not very many people show up here. 500yen for parking in the lot right next to the pier. Worth it if you spend the day!
Super clear beach with access to water activities such as SUP, jet skiing, boat ride and a few more. The water activities are a little pricey I payed $30 for 30 min on the paddle board and you need to have an instructor. They have beach chairs you can rent all day for 500 yen. I would definitely bring water shoes as it can be rough on your feet closer to the water from all the dead washed up coral. Bathrooms are nearby. You can also pay 500 yen for parking down by the beach or there’s parking up the hill for free right off of the bridge. You can walk down the hill of take the stairs down to the beach which are right next to the bridge (a little hidden). There’s bathrooms you can use in the free parking lot as well. I would definitely try to go snorkeling here as you can see a ton of cool fish as well as corals!! Water is super shallow and actually not that cold especially when I went in April!
Really. Enjoyed our day here. Didn’t feel exploited by high prices and over tourism. Rustic and cheap. Not too many sunbeds but that’s good as it stops overcrowding. There is paid parking of 500 yen right at the beach or you can park for free at the top of the road near the entrance for free.
This is tremendously beautiful! Theres a lot of marine sports options. Price is average. But snorkeling set can be rented in a very cheap price with no time limit. Water is really clear that snorkeling is worth doing!
1.Snorkeling at low tide is more safer. 2.Need to bring life jackets. 3.Cars can park under bridge for ¥500 one time.

Great calm snorkeling place!
(Translated by Google) Although it is called a beach, it is close to a rocky area, so rather than swimming and having fun, it is more of a place to take a walk while enjoying the feeling of a tropical island leading up to this place, and enjoy the moment when you pass through the trees and see the ocean. The photo shows the scenery from the pier, through the island, to Kamome Rock Beach, so that you can enjoy the route.

Be sure to bring snorkeling equipment. Recommended for those who are good swimmers. There are no toilets, showers, or vending machines. (Translated by Google) I snorkeled on the morning of August 30, 2023, just before the low tide of the spring tide. There were several dive boats anchored at the reef edge, so we decided to swim there from the beach. However, since it was shallow and there was a lot of coral, we decided that it would be difficult to return without damaging the coral when the tide went out, so we turned back halfway. The scenery was a little different from other beaches on Minna Island, with branch corals densely packed and table corals larger than my height dotted around Hinault. I would like to go again when the tide is not low.
(Translated by Google) It takes about 30 minutes to walk from the port. It's a place where the waves are calm and there aren't many people, so I think it's a good place to relax and feel like it's a private beach. However, the footing in the sea near the beach is rocky and sharp, so I felt that it was necessary to just look at it or wear sandals. The place called Kamome Rock is located a little far from land, so it is recommended for those who would rather relax in a place where there are no other people than sightseeing. One thing to keep in mind is that you will have to walk all the way along the beach to get to this beach, so you should check the low tide and high tide times just in case. I felt like the water was coming closer than I expected on the way back.
