National forest waterfall reaching 105-ft. accessed via 2 hiking trails from a parking lot.

Wonderful falls! This 105’ waterfall is impressive. You have about a 1/4 mile trek to the falls that was rocky and an elevation gain of over 300’. They had 3 different views. A handicap parking lot level and a half way view and then the top view at the base of the falls.
The hike is well worth it. It’s a must see. My husband’s granny made the hike with us so it’s doable for most people.
Beautiful waterfall. You can see this from the lot, for those unable to make the way up. A short uphill, relative easy hike for gorgeous view!
We'll worth the trip. Short hike to get really up close to the falls as well as to an overlook
The waterfall is located near the road. Parking right next to the road and then walk about half a mile uphill. On the way, the first one will be a bridge with a view of the waterfall, but if you continue going uphill, you can reach the end from where there is an even better view. It's worth it to walk to the waterfall and admire God's creation.
Breathtaking. After a short, up-hill hike you’ll be rewarded! We were here in the winter so if you’re feeling unsure about hiking over snow and/or mud, take a walking stick. An amazing experience that shouldn’t be missed if you’re in the area.
Wow! Absolutely stunning! Parking is small and it gets really busy but worth the wait. Two trails one for beginners and another much more difficult trail. It's about 1 mile round trip but highly recommend still taking water. An absolute gem and it's free. Take the hike and enjoy nature.
Easy hike! Came in mid March, so the waterfall was frozen but still stunning! Amazing Mountain views just right off the 160 highway. Great pit stop when driving in and out of Pagosa Springs.

First time skier, & this was an awesome experience! Every employee there was so welcoming, friendly, & helpful! Amazing customer service! Tyler was so knowledgeable & warm. She got us all set up for our 1st ski lesson. Rick was the friendliest personality, & even gave my kids an orange from his own lunch box when they were having a meltdown. Shannon was our instructor, & she was SO positive, friendly, kind, & a wonderful teacher. We went in with low expectations & positive attitudes, & had the best experience! All the employees really seemed like they loved what they were doing, enjoyed sharing their passion for winter sports, & really wanted pass that on to others. Thank you!!!
First skied at Wolf Creek 10+ years ago with my wife, and recently returned over Spring Break with the spawn. Really loved the independence and vitality of skiing for skiing's sake here, not the commercialization of everything you find at Vail-associated hills. Had melt-freeze spring conditions but that meant groomers in the morning and exploration in the afternoon! If you like skiing trees, this is your place - there are defined runs, but ample room to ski most any line you please as you venture into the glades.
We’ve always loved skiing Wolfe Creek. It’s beautiful, runs for all levels of ski/snow boarders & all of the employees we have encountered are friendly and helpful. These 2 medics that helped my son were amazing & very concerned/caring. WARNING…DO NOT purchase more than 1 lift ticket per day just in case you have someone in your family that gets injured. They DO NOT refund lift ticket purchases even if it required being medi-flighted! We were out about $300 due to our 14yr old son falling on a run on Day 1 and having to be medi-flighted to CO springs after purchasing 2 day lift tickets for our family of 4. They also don’t honor discounts for military veteran family members. They give a discount to the veteran only. We will probably go back to Monarch in the future. I called Monarch’s sales office and inquired about refunds of lift tickets if severe accidents occurred & they said they would absolutely refund the lift tickets purchased for the entire family if we were displaced. My son lacerated his right kidney (almost in half) on “caution corner”. Be careful in that area! Thankfully, he’s healing up & will be fine. We had a blast while we were there, but really disappointed in the unwillingness to refund our lift ticket money. We could’ve definitely used the xtra $$ after medi-flighting, xtra expenses & a 4day hospital stay in CO Springs 🥴
A hidden gem in colorado, no lines, you don't have to pay for parking, reasonable lift tickets. I recommend you take alberta chair, up to the knife ridge staircase. You gotta do a little bit of hiking to get to the staircase, take stairs, and you cross a bridge at the top You ski down the ridge and then you can get a snow Caterpillar to pick you up and tow you up to horseshoe bowl. Epic experience If you're going out on the knife, bring an avalanche beacon.
Went a couple of weeks ago. Foot of powder, excellent terrain, friendly locals, no lift lines, loved this mountain. Nice lodge at the base with food and small bar as well. If you want some local skiing with great snow, this is the spot you've been looking for.
Mmmmight be my favorite ski area. Didn’t get much fresh snow this time but it was still perfect conditions. 5 minute wait for tickets at the base area. On New Year’s Eve. $100. Which is a great deal compared to everywhere else. Parking shuttle system was efficient. Definitely a family mountain. Terrain is terrific. And it’s huge. Can’t wait to go back.
This is one of my favorite ski hills in Colorado, and it's definitely the best ski school for kids! After just three days, my little one is skiing like a pro! This is my third time here, and I can’t wait to come back again. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. A special thanks to Coach Michael for the amazing snowboard lessons—after just two days, I can snowboard down any hill! It’s incredible!
Wolf Creek Ski Resort offers an amazing mountain experience, but there are a few things to keep in mind. I would not recommend renting equipment from here. The employees were rude, and it took forever to get a pair of boots. For rentals, check out Ski and Bow Rack—they were much better. Also, don’t bother purchasing lift tickets or lessons ahead of time. Even with tickets already bought, you’ll still have to wait in long lines, which is a bit frustrating. On the plus side, the mountain is fantastic! It’s perfect for skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels, with excellent coverage and most runs usually open, no matter the conditions. A big shoutout to Paige L., who did an amazing job teaching my nephew how to snowboard. He had an awesome time, and she made it a great experience! The resort is also just a quick drive from either South Fork or Pagosa Springs, so getting there is easy. Overall, while there were a few service issues, the skiing and snowboarding experience on the mountain made up for it.

Sights & Landmarks
Sprawling site with ruins of 200 structures from a native Pueblo settlement dating back 1,000 years.
Slide 1 of 8
I joined one of the tours there where the volunteer gave great information about it. The views of the Ancestral Pueblo buildings as well as Chimney Rock were amazing. There's a somewhat steep section to get up there so that is slowly especially going down as there are loose pebbles and sand that can make it slippery. The visitor center also has lots of information and a short movie about the site that I would recommend before going on the tour.
Nice monument offering excellent up close views of pit houses and other large structures. 2 trails - 1 is very accessible , paved path, the other requires some mobility and good shoes to ascend a short but steady climb with a dirt and stone path. The largest structure is up top of the hill offering great views all around. Small visitor center and gift shop as well.
First thing first... what a Great Staff! They were very helpful, welcoming, and super nice! This is an amazing place to be able to walk around to explore and learn. Amazing views. The road up to the top from the visitor/information center is gravel and a little rough but very manageable in a sedan.
What a perfect stop! I had no clue, there were Pueblo Ruins at the top. They will shuttle you up if you don’t want to or can’t, drive up. Plan for an hour and a half here. The hike up top is NOT for the faint of heart. Major steep drop offs. Use your National Parks pass here. Con, you may want to fact check your volunteers, I had a gal tell me the ancient people were overweight! Ugh! Not!
There are two hikes on this. To get to the hikes you stop at the visitor center where they have water and some ice cream and snacks (small selection). Once you pay you drive to the top which is about a 15 minute drive. One hike is completely paved and wheelchair accessible. The other hike up to the top is rocky and has you close to the sides of the cliff. Amazing views as the top.
It was really awesome, the staff were nice and knowledgeable. I didn't realize the history of the area or know about the Lunar standstill. The visitor center has a lot of information packed in a small space. Wear good hiking shoes and bring water if you plan to go to the top. Which I recommend. make sure to get the laminated maps with the guide. They have four or five enclosures/kennels in the shade with water for dogs so you don't leave fido in the car. No dogs on trails.
Outstanding Rangers! We were there in early October and a US Ranger from Germany named Jürgen helped us. Er war ausgezeichnet, sehr freundlich und hilfreich. Meine Frau kommt aus Deutschland und selbst nach 15 Jahren ist mein Deutsch nicht gut. But nevertheless Jürgen humored me and we spoke in German. Then he drove us up that narrow dangerous road to the monument. Wow, my trips to Chaco Canyon and studying of that Anasazi culture helped me enjoy Chimney Rock even more. We caught another Ranger at the top giving a guided tour. He was also so informative. Then a Ranger who was a younger woman drove us down that road. Her skill and care was noteworthy! While descending, I asked her about restaurant recommendations and activities in Pagosa Springs. She was incredibly detailed and SO helpful. We took her advice and went to each location she mentioned. And she was right; they were all excellent. This was a bucket-list worthy trip. Truly a top experience for me. And the ultra helpful and friendly Rangers made it among the best memories in my entire life. I'm very thankful to them.
Very informative, and a beautiful place to see. We took the upper mesa hike without any trouble. I have two artificial hips and an artificial knee and had little difficulty

This place is very fun. We came at opening and walked around. Denise at the front desk was so nice and invited us back for the 2pm feeding/tour. She also ended up being our feeding/tour guide. I highly recommend. It is very affordable. It’s fun to see animals you might see in Colorado. Most of the animals have a cool story about where they came from!
Absolutely amazing! The secret is to visit at two o’clock and hang out until Denice conducts the 3pm feeding of the animals. Her absolute love and rapport with each of her charges is truly heart-warming. We visited during a torrential rain/lightning storm, which added a unique twist, but I suspect that you will enjoy it immensely no matter the weather.
Loved our visit! Definitely do the feeding tour (check the times). When we went it needed up POURING rain and we had to stop the feeding tour and wait it out and then go back out once it calmed down a bit. They do have umbrellas you can use which was a huge bonus. I would wear shoes you don’t mind getting muddy. The animals are well taken care of and you can tell they’re loved. Def a great organization!
This place is very cool! We aligned our visit with the 2pm feeding and it was very neat to see the animals eat and learn about the animals from the keeper as she fed them. It cost something money, but in my opinion, it was well worth the cost to see these amazing animals up close and personal (but in an enclosure).
We had an absolute blast BOTH days we came here. The first day was right after feeding, so we didn’t really see all the animals but they wrote us a pass to come on Saturday to do the feeding with the animals, we signed up to do horseback riding on Saturday and our youngest did a pony ride after. They had games and coloring books while we waited for my husband and our oldest to get done with their horseback ride. My oldest ended up being too scared to go and they gave a full refund. The person we spoke to ended up saving a magnet from her personal collection to give to me when we came back Saturday because she saw how bummed I was they didn’t have any of just the Rocky Mountain wildlife name on it. We didn’t end up staying for the feeding since we were all exhausted by that point, but it was an incredible experience either way. The staff are incredible, the animals are awesome and the customer service is top tier. Loved our experiences there.
Low key spot that isn’t too large to explore. Has the essentials and depending on the day you might see animals since they obviously want to hide away from most watchers. The bears are the reason to come, today we lucked out and it was “popsicle” time and we were able to watch two bears chow down on frozen fruit to cool down. Got neat art inside that’s a bit high for my taste but some cool pieces to at least look at. Overall great experience for the low entry cost.
Definitely a stop when you’re in town. A way to see some of the animals really up close, get a popsicle, and go for a horse back ride all while funding this animal sanctuary. It’s a win win. The staff was very friendly. Albeit it is small but we were there for 2 hours, including our 30 min horse back ride.
Great place to see wild animals up close. They all also looked happy and content. The staff is friendly and answered all our questions. Highly recommend!

Beautiful low intensity hike with minimal elevations. Only one small section where one has to pay particular attention to footing. The balls are beautiful!
We should have worn our swimsuit! Great forest hike after a long slow drive. The hike is beautiful and, once at the falls, it's easier to explore by being in the water.
Beautiful drive to the trailhead and beautiful falls. Make sure you download your map before you go-- cell service is scarce--dirt road all the way. The hike is short, but there are other trails on the way to this one that you can stop at. Watch out for cows 🐄
Amazing little gem. Short hike on a very nice, well maintained trail. Gorgeous views! The drive there was awesome, with places to pull off and enjoy the nature around you!
Super neat waterfall. Quick and easy trail & beautiful all around
Once you reach the dirt on Piedra Rd it is about an hour long, rough drive through the mountains but well worth it! Watch out for the cows and flocks of wild turkeys. It had rained the night before so the trail was a little slick in places. Walking stick recommended. After a beautiful 20-30 minute hike you can reach the bottom of the falls. Due to the rain the falls were really flowing! It was to cold to jump in the water but we should have. We loved it. Highly recommend this visit. Don't forget your camera!
Really pretty but signage to find the trails is minimal. Print out map directions if you are unfamiliar with the area, you will loose signal not even half way there. Otherwise, great, well-kept trail and gorgeous waterfall views.
Short walk to an absolutely incredible view. 0.5 mile each way, some of the trail is tough due to large boulders and there is one section that is very narrow. When you get to the falls you can get some amazing views and cool off by doing your feet in the water!

Just moved to town and highly recommend as an entertaining evening. Staff was super accommodating with early seating due to wife's disability. 'Dr Peppers' timing after my 'belch' was impeccable. We'll be back!
Was visiting from San Diego, went to see Something Rotten. It was great. Charming setting, talented cast, fun environment, I hardly recommend it.
We had family members in the Thingamajig production of, The Lion King, at the Pagosa Springs Centre for the Arts. This was our family's first time participating in one of their theater camps, and we could not have asked for a more lovely experience. Ms. Laura is the education person, not sure if I have her title correct, and she was gracious, helpful and extremely professional! Our kids were well-treated, and learned discipline, how to collaborate, and most importantly to have fun on stage! As you walk around the inside, you can see the playbills from earlier productions which made us wish we had known about this earlier so we could have attended some of the shows. There are two stages, one in the front and one in the back. The lobby was sweetly decorated for Christmas and had a festive air about it. The outside patio has a fireplace which was helpful as we stood in line waiting for the doors to open. There was a small gift shop, and a place to purchase snacks. There was also a large water station where anyone could help themselves to a cool drink. All of the staff, especially Ms. Laura's mom whose name I regretfully did not get, were kind, friendly and helpful. When there was a ticket crunch, they allowed us to wait inside as they figured out how to add more parents, grandparents, and other family members to the theater. The lighting, the music, and the set were splendiferous, with comfortable chairs in the seating area. Our family is looking forward to the next play, which will most likely encourage us to visit Pagosa Springs more often. I always give the bathrooms, anywhere, particular scrutiny and they were spotless and eclectically decorated. It was very nice that they utilized white, cloth hand-towels, in the bathroom for a small but important, contribution to less paper products in the trash. I'm going to join the friends of Pagosa Springs Centre for the Arts so that I am notified well in advance of the Theatres happenings. I highly recommend you check this wonderful art center out!
We saw "Something Rotten" SUPERB PERFORMANCE! Nothing but laughs! Such a great location, amazing actors, there literally not a bad seat in the house. Met George there tonight and got the story of how this place happened, I love the story.
The Center for the Arts is also known as the Thingamajig Theater. Wonderful performers from all over the States. This is our 3rd performance, Mama Mia, Jeckel and Hyde and Ring of Fire. The Theater had a formal Gala/fund raiser, we attended. We were able to have a guided tour of the theater with the Actors. Fascinating how many clothing changes the Actors go through during 1 performance. Great theater, very intimate and entertaining. Some of the pictures are of the restrooms. Kosmo
Acting was superb! Don’t miss it!!! Saw all three shows.
No bad seat in the house. So much talent! Had an amazing time!
Awesome venue. Small and intimate. Very, very talented performers. Well directed and executed. Never seen a bad play here in 7 years.

Enjoyed our ride at Diamond Hitch... we haven't been on a horse in over 40 years so were little apprehensive. All the horses were great and easy to manage. The trail was rockier than expected, but no troubles. Our guide Roberta was great.
It was our second visit and we had a wonderful time again. This time we took an hour ride and a 1/2hr pony ride for our youngest. Each trip is a special visit for us and once again it for a lovely morning ride.
Absolutely amazing ride! I am an experienced rider but had my 7 year old daughter with me who hasn't rode more than a pony ride! She absolutely loved it. We come to Pagosa yearly and will add this to our tradition! Also, the 2 hour ride is a must! Definitely worth the price and experience.
My husband and I had a great ride. The horses were very well mannered. The staff was very thoughtful and friendly. This is our 3rd horse ride in Colorado and it was the absolute best experience out of the 3. If you want a nice ride through a beautiful area with a great guide Diamond Hitch Stables is the place you want to go. My horse was Elena, my husband had Betty both very well behaved. Great for all ages and skill levels. The owner is a great guy who made sure we had a great time.
So wonderful! My husband and I took our 4 and 5 year old today for the hour long horseback ride. It was so great. Friendly, experienced staff, tame horses, gorgeous views. We saw several deer, humming birds and prairie dogs. The kids had a great time and I never worried about their safety. Highly recommend!
Took my family there while visiting Pagosa Springs. We had a fabulous time. None of us had ever ridden a horse before. The horses were beautiful and very gentle. The hour ride was a perfect time for us novices. The guides Brian and Roberta were very experienced, fun, super kind, and enthusiastic. Overall we had an excellent experience and would very highly recommend.
Best experience ever! First time riding a saddled cowboy style horse. Awesome trails in the woods surrounded by forest and mountains. Our guide Berta was very knowledgeable and friendly. She explained and answered all the questions regarding horse back riding and even showed us a quick demo version of riding a horse. All Horses are beautiful and all well trained. We were very happy to spent our time with these wonderful ppl and horses! Definitely coming back again!
Nice people with well trained horses. My family decided to take the 30 minute ride because our 4 year old has not been on a ride. The staff was well organized, the horses were healthy and well trained and our guide was very friendly, telling stories and making the ride enjoyable for my whole family. I highly recommend checking them out, just wear shoes other than tennis shoes so the horses know you are there.

One of the best small town museums I have ever had the pleasure of visiting! Every small town has a museum, and I always like to make a quick stop to check of some of the local history. Sometimes they're good, and other times they may just have a few artifacts someone found in their backyard. But this museum is something else. The amount of history packed into their small space is just incredible. Most everything is displayed in an organized and thoughtful way that makes it easy to absorb lots of information in a small space. They were raising money to expand while we were there, and I happily made a donation. I can't wait to see their expansion! We'll definitely stop by again on our next visit.
First, I get what they’re trying to do here, but spare us the swastika lesson. This museum isn’t the right place for this lesson. Also, was pretty disappointing how white-washed the exhibits were, considering it was Utes and Spanish Settlers who were here first. This museum gives strong “white people came and conquered” vibes. If they really wanted to do the area justice, tell different stories from different cultures. Also, archaeology has changed and some of the native artifacts were questionable source-wise. If they were indeed sourced ethically, maybe they belong in a museum that would do their original owners justice and tell the stories of these artifacts and the people who originally owned them.
A great museum with lots of curiosities, information, and local history. It needs more space for all the great collections they have. I would recommend coming before 3pm; we almost got locked in while looking around.
Nice HISTORICAL STOP. Interesting fun facts about the area's inception and lovely quilt display
Wonderful gem in Pagosa Springs. Interesting displays reflecting Miner's life plus extra quilt display.
Totally amazing and the staff was so knowledgeable about the town.
Really cute and informative but also a little cluttered. There was some written information by most of the exhibits, but a narrative or town timeline would have been really helpful to understanding the history. The quilt exhibit was really neat.
Bummed.. it was closed for the season when we got there even though Google showed it was open.

Open but not completely passable for at least another month. Got within 1/4 mile of the elwood cabin and found four 3 ft snow banks on a pretty steep uphill climb. Really only 2 spots that make it difficult, just due to the erosion around a few large rocks
Depending on the snow, this is not to difficult of trail with the right rig. There are a few spots were a little clearance is nice. Nothing really scary but the scenery is beautiful and well worth the adventure!
Spectacular, and very doable in a 4x4 based on what I saw while only going downhill/westbound on a small motorcycle (i.e. stock 4Runner near the top, stock Taco along the way). The only part that felt really sketchy on two wheels was the loose rock along the steepest, longest climb (just north of where Elwood, Crater, and Bear Creeks meet on the map), but the creek crossing was an easy <1ft when I splashed through on Labor Day The top is the crazy pretty stuff, but that one climb makes you earn it. I'd go do this again in a heartbeat, even if the loose rock is unsettling on the bike!
Great side by side trails
We attempted Elwood Pass on 7/29/23 in our mostly stock Geo Tracker. The only upgrade is slightly larger tires (still small at 225/75r15 aka 28.3"). Our ground clearance is right around 9". We headed up East Fork road from the Pagosa side and made it to within 5 miles of the pass when we decided to turn around. Several side by sides said that it got worse and we had already been bottoming out on some stuff. We spoke with another guy on the way back down that also had a Tracker (at home) and he said we could make it. We may try again if we go with some other folks but played it safe today. Turns out it seems that we lost a rocker panel on the trail so please let us know if you find it. We'll look for it when we go back up there.
Alot of work on a large adventure bike, very difficult with stock tires or two up. Great ride and worth it under the right conditions. Expect to drop your bike at least of few times on downhill slopes with baby head boulders.
Excellent 4x4 pass over the South San Juans! Elwood pass is one of the original passes used before Wolf Creek pass was built. There's tons of wildlife and photo opportunities throughout the entire route. Be sure you have plenty of daylight left before attempting this pass, it can occasionally take longer than planned and goes through some rough spots here and there. There's also access to forest service rental cabins from this road, definitely worth looking into on their website!
A very fun 4x4 road. The recent monsoon rains have made it more challenging with a need to watch tire placement for proper ground clearance, experience would be helpful on the road in present condition!

This location caught my eye just walking by. Very creative work at decent pricing. As a graphic designer, seeing other people's creations is key and this location had a lot to choose from. Creative mind or not, I guarantee you'll find something you like here.
i love this store and its people. as a designer this place is fresh. go in, enjoy, pay the money, go enjoy your stuff.
Wonderful store. Great items for the home, and unique gifts too. Hope they reopen soon!!
Too cool! Great styles, some expensive, some affordable. Many artists. Don't forget to check the downstairs
Overpriced. Extremely rude employees. Can't even answer simple questions. Horrible experience

Careful of the poison ivy on the trail down the river bank to the pools. Road is accessible with a passenger car when dry, warmer pools are a little mossy, maybe bring a shovel to help dig down to the warmer water. Hike is about 1.3 miles with about 800 feet of elevation gain/loss to plan for. Trail is in OK condition, some fallen trees to navigate. 37.31308, -107.34427 location of the springs
The forest service road on the way up is full of washboard and potholes. From the trail head you will descend, alot. Then walk along the river upstream to find the natural pools. It's a beautiful setting. Very natural. Be prepared to see snakes and other wildlife, it's a river. The hike uphill out of there is not to be underestimated. Overall, worth the effort.
Hike about 1.5 miles. Should take you about 30mins-1hr
The hike was insufferable, no expansive views like we had anticipated. The place was extremely hard to find and that hill… I tell you what, the hike out of there nearly killed me. It was steep and slippery. The pools were somewhat warm but nothing like Pagosa Hot Springs, the best pools on Earth!
We loved it! It was a bit hard to find and the hike is very doable, just account for climbing out. It was a natural hot spring and we did not find it dirty, just natural. We got there late afternoon so no one was there and we had limited time to make sure we got out before dark. Once we were in the car a big black bear came running across the road so be aware that there are bears in the area! Take bear spray just in case.
Always have an awesome time here. Best time to go is after runoff and the river is a bit more calm in the summer. Short hike. Going down is always easier than going back up, Especially after soaking for a few hours. Camped at the first site and walked to springs during the early cold hours of the morning. Was nice to get warm in waist deep pools. You may need to do a little work moving the rocks to get the perfect temperature but thats the primitive part of this adventure. If you want to be pampered and babied go to Pagosa Hot Springs. This spot is for those that dont mind a little hard work for a great reward. Please pack in and pack out all trash! Thanks
We have just gone, July 8th 2020, and they look great! Definitely bring sandals because the pools get the surrounding rocks so hot they can definitely burn your feet. Like previous posts mention, if you take care of your trash and do your part to build up the pools with surrounding rocks, its great. Make sure to not block off water flow, otherwise the pools will be too hot! There are several pools, which allow for social distancing at this time :) There are snakes! But they are western terrestrial garter snakes, NOT VENOMOUS! Please leave them alone so other animal enthusiasts can see them :) lots of the cooler pools right next to the river contain baby fish!! Cool to look at. There are some black flies and they BITE. Bring insect repellent, flipflops, and PLENTY of water and food. The hike took us about an hour, maybe an hour and a half but thats because we brought a child. If bringing children, definitely assist them around the rocks.
Need to go after run off. Great hike great pools. Sometimes you need to regulate the temp by allowing cold water to come in or by damming the cold water from cooling the pool to much. 100% worth it if you aren’t a cry baby

Sara was amazing!!!! Her shop is so beautifully organized with such wonderful treasures for every style. We went to Pagosa Springs for our anniversary and we always search for a specific treasure in each state we go. Our personal collection pieces are pretty unique and often hard to find but Sara not only had what we were looking for, she also had more than one to choose from. Sara was helpful, friendly, and just a joy to meet. Antiques on Main is a MUST SEE and SHOP for everybody in the Pagosa Springs area.
I thought this place was Meltdown on Main, but I guess that's the place next door. Who do the Blues Brothers belong to? There is a LOT of merchandise in this store...a WHOLE LOT of merchandise. There are items for sale outside and items for sale in multiple rooms inside. Here are the types of things you can buy here (mostly vintage/retro/antique/old): suitcases, typewriters, knives, books, kids' books, board games, dolls, toys, records, landline telephones, Christmas tree ornaments, figurines, thimbles, framed art, housewares, kitchen items, canning jars, watches, earrings (SO MANY earrings), necklaces, bracelets, license plates, paperweights, and lots more things (but I can't remember them all). This place is PACKED with things to look at and/or buy. Everything is neatly arranged. Items in the same category are displayed together. Nothing inside looked dirty or even dusty. The place is well maintained. The worker greeted me when I walked in and later asked me if I was looking for anything specific. She didn't seem upset when I said I was just browsing. She also didn't follow me around the store, and she didn't act suspicious of me. The prices did seem high to me, but I'm a thrift store/garage sale gal. I know antiques go for more, so maybe these are entirely normal prices. I did enjoy looking around. A real collector of antiques is sure to love this place.
What a wonderful store; what a wonderful lady running it. I showed up almost at closing time because we made it to town late and leaving early the next morning. She didn't mind. While I didn't find anything I could not live without, there was plenty of treasures that I know others will covet. She and the store are quite charming.
Thank you for providing off street parking! Love your shop and appreciate the elephants. Might have to come back for the salt and pepper shakers for my sister. Great display cases! Thanks
It would be a serious mistake not going to this store. Too many cool items. The owner is so cool, and we will be returning next time we are in town.
Great little antique shoo, very interesting items and they actually have antiques, not just bic-a-brak.
Cute place, lots of cool treasures, lady behind the counter was nice.
Very very overpriced. You won’t find a vinyl record for less than $40 even if it’s a random singer. $20+ for 2 inch tall plastic dolls. Not worth it

Fantastic hike, but be warned: It is 12 miles roundtrip. 6 miles one-way. I've seen so many places claim that it is 4 or 4.5 miles one way and that is just not true. Absolutely beautiful hike, the hot springs were nice. Filled with algae, silt, etc. but that's common for natural hot springs. There are some great camping spots near the springs/ river. Being able to hike far above the river and then right next to it, with dozens of little waterfalls along the way. Chef's kiss. Cannot overstate that despite what Alltrails used to say and what Uncover Colorado says, this is 12 mile hike
One of our favorite hikes in the West Fork area. We highly recommend this hike if you are up for 10 miles of gorgeous terrain and a trail along the river where you can see for miles on end. The hot springs can be found at camp site #8 near the rivers edge as well as camp site #1. Bring plenty of water and be on the lookout for wildlife!
Be prepared for sudden weather changes, as mountain tops are unpredictable. If your not acclamated to the elevation the hike in can be very difficult as you climb over 1k feet. The way back is mostly descending. The pools are nice and warm. The views are spectacular. You might see horses, mules, deer, black bears etc... as this trail connects to a whole backcountry system.
Worth the 12 mile, ~1000 ft. climb round trip! We thought hot springs themselves are sort of forgettable, and like many natural hot springs a little gross with algae and silt, but after hiking the 6 miles out (We couldn't figure out why some state it's as little as 4), you'll really appreciate the relaxing break! The star of this experience is the hike. Super scenic and varied. The contrast of destruction from the 2013 fire and the new life is beautiful and the hike has so much variety to it. At the very least pack a lunch to enjoy before the return hike, or for the more experienced and ambitious- stay overnight!
Not a bad hike but be sure to bring enough water. From the Rainbow / West Fork trailhead it is about 5.2 miles each way. The path to the hot spring can be found between various l Camp 6 and Camp 7. The water is a little over a foot deep, and about 100°F -- perfect for relaxing in for hours 😌 If you're really still, you might have some visitors. I had a chipmunk jump onto my exposed knee; and then had a pair of marmots visit 😄 No issues with annoying bugs.
One star reviewers are selfish and trying to get fewer people to go here. It’s public land you dolts. That said, the hike is nothing special, but the destination is exceptional. Just be mindful where you go #2 and BURY it. Some of us have dogs.
This is a great place to hike if you're able to handle a 5-6 mile hike. A few parts of the trail are difficult. The hot springs at the end are worth the trek! The weather can be tricky so prepare for anything from heat to rain. I'd suggest bringing a towel and a change of clothes.
Ok, but not great at all. The hike is more like 11 miles in and out- the hot spring trail doesn’t start until you pass the private property areas about a mile in. Take plenty of snacks and water (I live at 7,000’ and am acclimated to the dry altitude, so don’t take that lightly). It’s a beautiful- unfortunately, fire scarred- hike, but just make sure you’re prepared. The hot springs are a little difficult to find- go to exactly where the Google Maps pin is, then head straight for the river (which, is a little steep to get to). The spring itself was a bit disappointing. Murky, dirty water and small. Only enough room for a handful of people to get in at a time. And, the river is ice cold! Overall, ok- it was nice to visit a remote hot spring, but is not likely a place I’ll return to. Follow up on another review- we went on 5/May 23, 2022, and there were only about 15-20 downed trees on the trail and they were all near the end. They weren’t much trouble to pass.
