One of the Triple Crown locations in horse racing . It has an antique feel to it , and rightly so. It's one of the oldest horse racing parks in the country. It's a history in the making park . Clean easy parking, the food is affordable and good . Very friendly people and the racing is top-notch. Riders up !
Always a good time and a classic experience! ✨️ Recommend bringing your own cooler with drinks and snacks since they are heavily over priced once inside. That said, it's a great time with friends and family. If you are visiting from out of town, this is definitely going in the to-do list!
What a day out!! Will absolutely be planning to come back next summer. Its understated heritage exterior allows for a relaxed atmosphere at a professional horse races. Plenty food and drink options and all round a great time. Parking varied from free to $20, the general entry ticket was $11 which is incredible for such a fun day out. Could not recommend more!
2025 - Making my second trip over, there was some modifications being made for example parking wise. Stayed in the General Admission Price guideline. Everyone did a great job from Spector and Staff/Security wise. 2024 - The Second Home of the Belmont Stakes. First time seeing a primetime event at General Admission Price wise. Smart move being my first time attending the event. This is a first to some of us, I thought spectators plus Staff and Security handle everything great! Prior to COVID Great Aunt took me here and we had a great time!
Absolutely love this racetrack! You can bring your own food and drink and there are tons of picnic tables to sit on and enjoy the day! There is not a whole lot to choose from if you don't bring food and the prices are high so your best bet is to pack the picnic lunch! Parking runs about $30 and there is plenty available. Overall a great day for family fun!
Simply the best horse racing venue in country and well managed. We reserved table inTurf Terrace one afternoon and had wonderful experience with great service. Me sure to make reservations well in advance. The other days we were in Picnic area and loved every minute of it. There are plenty of betting windows and machines if you choose and the lines moved quickly. Visiting this race courae is one of our favorite trips every year.
A friend and myself traveled to Saratoga Race 🏁, as a day trip. I have visited here before, several times. I have always enjoyed myself. The property is well maintained and clean. Security is very good, always feel safe. My only complaint is that the food and beverages prices are outrageous. Next time I will bring my own food and drinks. Other than that I highly recommend Saratoga Race Course.
Saratoga club terrace dining is a poor way to spend your money. There is an admission fee to sit at a tiny table for two next to the kitchen. The servers stand right next to those tables. Their Their rear ends were next to our table. The menu is limited. There is no view of the races except on a TV that is either right above your head or too far away to see. According to the manager, we could not can change our table, even though there were empty tables.

One of our favorites places on Earth! The grounds are so spacious and well groomed! If you are in Saratoga, you really should at the very least drive through the park. Bring a chair .. take a nap under a tree, there is plenty of room. You can bring your dog and let him run free. This park is well known for its mineral baths, so if you are inclined to enjoy a bath in evervescent water (by appointment only), this is the place!
Loved this state park, woods and a stream to explore. Many different natural springs and mineral waters to taste, history to learn about. Very interesting and I'd love to come back and picnic near the stream and explore more.
We visited Saratoga downtown & walked down to the State Park! Simply beautiful! There are multiple wooded trails, beautiful pathways & the iconic spa buildings that are a photographers dream! The park was peaceful & we enjoyed venturing around! We didn’t get far enough in to try the water springs but seeing the buildings was stunning!
If you are looking for a place to relax, breath pure air? This is the place. If you love taking long walks? This is the place, and where you don't even need to carry a bottle of water because you will find a spring where to drink pure, fresh and alkaline water ✨️ 👌🏼 Saratoga is a beautiful in many ways, is a place that gives you peace and tranquility. I will be back.✨️♥️
Absolutely stunning place for a walk about in the changing leaves. They had a beautiful autumnal display at the entrance to the park to snap a few photos. We stayed at the hotel on the park property and it’s just beautiful. Really has a lot of history in the building. Would love to stay again!
I was truly amazed by the size of Saratoga Spa State Park! It has huge, beautiful buildings, a great pool, golf courses, and a gorgeous forest perfect for walks. I definitely want to come back!
hi 67 this is a wonderful destination, first i went to eat kfc next to the big pretty river with a big rock and i sat on it. me and my boyfriend Yankee and yanson and maro had a wonderful double date there!
Great State Park with plenty of options, golf, springs, pools, parking, and trails. They always do a tremendous job of maintaining the grounds.

Very pleasant surprise. Got there just in time foe a guided tour of the first floor. Very informative. Second and third floor on your own. Beautiful building and rooms.
This place is truly awesome,it instantly lifts your mood with its ancient monuments and beautiful fountains that create an aesthetic vibe. The environment is perfect for hanging out or simply enjoying the surroundings. On top of that, there are many ducks around, adding to the charm. Since we went after 6 p.m., we unfortunately didn’t get the chance to ride the carousel.Although we faced a lot of hassle with car parking at the beginning, the park’s charming atmosphere completely made us forget that struggle.
Having only ever thought this Park was for the carousel, I was pleasantly surprised. You could spend some time here with the family or even make it a Date Night Destination. Beautiful!
What a treat to walk through this park on a beautiful spring morning with many plants in blossom. The various fountains and other monuments in Italian Renaissance and grecian style transported me to a fantasy world.
What an amazing park. We truly enjoyed being here with our family. Would recommend a visit.
This park was one of my stops while I visited this historic city for the 1st time. Its a neat park located in the downtown area of the city right on Broadway.it has some cool sculptures and statuses and also include a war memorial. Definitely worth checking out if visiting the area
Went up for The Second Sunday Market, absolutly fantastic! Wonderful vendors! Also saw a TON of ducks and 6 ducklings! Soooo cute!!!!
Love taking my dog for a walk here. It's beautiful any time of year, especially all the architecture. Many views and benches to take a seat. Fresh spring water to drink and cameras hidden up on the bird houses make you feel secure. It's also a great place to go on a run with a variety of loops and trails!

I’ve been to SPAC three times in the past three years. The first time was for Larkin Poe at the Outlaw Music Festival. As fans of Larkin Poe my wife saw that they were playing at SPAC which was a place we wanted to see. We purchased the tickets from Larkin Poe website and didn’t know they were just one of many bands playing for the Willie Nelson Outlaw Music Festival. It was a great concert. We had seats in the lower area which are great as you can get up and walk around and know you still have a place to sit when you get back. The next two times at SPAC was for Dave Mathews Band. These were with friends who have seen Dave Mathews many times. We had lawn tickets both times. The sound was fine and the large displays let you see everything. Being so far away from the stage I never know if I should look at the band or the displays. It has more of that festival party feel. My next time there I hope to get seats again in the Amphitheater. If you are sitting on the lawn, it’s worth bringing a small blanket which gives you your own space but you need to arrive early so you get a place with a good view. You need to read the rules. You are only to take in “clear plastic, vinyl or PVC tote bags no larger than 12” x 6” x 12” and/or small clutches, wristlets, or fanny packs that are not clear (6”x 9”).” You can bring water bottles that you can fill up there. Your phone is also used as your ticket to get into SPAC. There are lots of options for food and drinks. As expected everything is expensive. It’s a Cashless Payment venue. Most people pay with their phones but credit cards also work. We also go to Saratoga Spa State Park (2,400-acre) to hike. I like when we make a full day out of a concert. Arriving early to take a hike and then do a little tailgating. Alcohol is not allowed in the parking lots but doesn’t seem to be enforced (lucky for us).
Saw Weird Al with my family and had the best time. As far as the venue goes, as you can see in other comments here and on other sites, the experience at SPAC is on the down slide. People are forced to rent lawn chairs. The food and drink are outrageously priced. The bathroom situation wasn't bad. There were plenty of stalls in the men's room, and it was very clean. The biggest fault I experienced was returning to my seat in section 6. When I first arrived, the girl at the bottom of the ramp to the balcony told us to go down to the lower ramp on the extreme right. Fine. There were no lines. When I went left just before the show started and came back the line at the entrance I went in was obscenely long so I went to the girl t the balcony ramp and told her the line was very long. She said it was OK to use her ramp, just use the stairs to go down to my section, no big deal. We'll the older lady at the top of the ramp sniffed and said girl shouldn't be letting people up there. In my opinion, if the lines are getting long to get to one section, let people use the other entrance ramps to get into the amphitheater. Otherwise, it was a great experience.
SPAC is fantastic. I've been attending shows there for almost 45 years and it never ceases to amaze me how beautiful the sound is. There are limitations, such as the lawn is usually more dirt than grass, and the rules for food and drinks and chairs are quite strict (seems to be all about money, not safety). That being said, it is very well run, in a pristine state park and fully designed for the best sound outdoor ampatheater can provide. 5 ⭐✨⭐✨⭐
Lawn seats with chair rental: the slope is sufficient to see the stage without making you feel like you're going to roll down. Plenty of points to meet up with friends and family if needed. Large screens cycle through the performers along the outside of the seating area so you get a decent view of the action onstage. It is a cashless venue, so cards might be your best bet, with digital pay options available. Concessions are ample and reasonably efficient, but attendance will be the deciding factor. Bathrooms are centrally located. Keep an eye on the weather and plan accordingly, and, as always, read all restrictions to plan your outing accordingly.
Great venue to see concert!! You can pay for seat in the bowl or pay less to sit on lawn. Lawn seats is a nice experience to listen to your favorite artist , may not see them though
Have actually been to 2 concerts this summer. My friends and I saw the dave matthews band and then Little Big Town.. we had lawn seats for dave matthews.. which was fine.. as it was warm, no precipitation. It was really busy.. we stood on an incline but we danced lots so it was great...super expensive alcholic beverages but .. that was expected. We had balcony seats for the other concert.. which was a good thing as well as it was a bit chilly and intermittently drizzling . Sound and visuals really good. We are actually going to a third concert this weekend. We are seeing Melissa Etheridge and the Indigo girls. I hadnt been to SPAC in too many years to remember but I love it and would have gone to every concert if possible. All peeps working venue also great from security to the gals serving drinks.. Only negatives.. obviously takes a long time to leave parking area and... people that litter.. uggh
Not the best venue to see a concert at. Lawn seating is outside the actual concert hall, and tickets will give you the opportunity to sit on bark mulch and watch LED screens of the concert you paid to see, happening inside the concert structure. People hanging out in the parking lot had a better experience for only $10. This type of ticket sales for "lawn" seating should be illegal. To reiterate: Lawn Tickets have no view of the stage inside the concert hall. Avoid this type of seating.
Just attended the Glass Animals show at SPAC and loved it! We had very short lines for concessions, bathrooms had little to no waits, loved the wide open feel you had being able to walk around and not be in an enclosed crowded space. Probably one of the best venues I’ve been to overall. We sat in section 8 in the pavilion which was excellent.

Lovely place to go in many ways. For weddings graduation and nice place to take pictures.
Such a beautiful, serene place to visit. I love the history of this property, and I love that this space is available to visit (for free!) where you can relax and enjoy the gardens. If you want a guided garden tour, it's $10 per person and the proceeds goes directly back to the org maintaining the gardens, which are comprised of volunteers. The tour guide is very knowledgeable about Yaddo and the property's rich history and loves answering questions 😀 Some tips: bring your preferred bug repellant if visiting in the summer, don't wear sandals (😑) since there are no paved paths. The only thing that I hope can be improved in the future is handicap access. Wheelchairs or motorized carts would have a difficult time here.
Gardens open promptly at 11 and there’s a small parking area to access them. The rose garden is lovely with fountains, and when I was there the fountains and pools at the rock garden were empty. Still a lovely little stop- only took about 20 minutes to see the whole thing.
Highly recommend the guided tour of the house if it is offered again in the future. The rose garden is beautiful too.
Beautiful flowers, walking paths, and fountain. Free to park and visit. I love that they are dog friendly! Great place to visit and bring your kids.
Nice quiet place to visit ...open to the public. This is an excellent place to go to take pics, or visit the rose gardens and think about victorian times
It was very early in the spring. The locals said winter lasted until just last week. I would like to come back when the roses are in their splender.
Pretty gardens and interesting place. Nice and tranquil but very mosquito heavy in the summer

It's a very cool place to visit they have a lot of very nice cars and a great history. They periodically have car shows too they had one on Saturday which was amazing some of the automobiles that they put out there were beautiful. I recommend taking the family there to see what they have to offer.
Very cool..informative..has some items from famous racehorses.. there is a booth where u can call a race. And record yourself 🤣 ride horse simulator which was out of order...grrrr..but neat if your into horses
2025 - Since the Belmont Stakes Races was going on, I thought this was a great way to play catchup time with memory lane. Honestly, just made sense to do it. Many people may not realize how close the idea of Belmont Stakes and the National Museum is right there. So close! Great package idea to do! Before 2023 - made a trip over thought it was great.
This is certainly a niche museum, but what they cover they cover very well! The little movie is well worth it & there is plenty of opportunity to learn all about the history of horse racing here in the US & in Saratoga specifically. Great staff on hand if you need any questions asked. They also had a decent sized gift shop.
The National Museum of Racing is a must-visit stop on our annual family trip to the Adirondacks — my husband and I make a point to visit every year, and it never disappoints. The museum is easy to find and always so well organized, with thoughtfully curated exhibits and an incredible wealth of information about the history and evolution of horse racing in America. The staff are consistently kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable, which makes every visit feel special. We especially enjoy chatting with them and sharing stories about our own horses — it’s always a thrill to recognize familiar lineage or bloodlines featured in the displays. The museum strikes a wonderful balance between honoring the sport's past and celebrating its present, making it enjoyable for both long-time horse lovers and newcomers alike. Whether you're a racing enthusiast, equestrian, or just someone who appreciates history and beautiful animals, this museum is a gem in Saratoga Springs. We always leave inspired and can’t wait to return next year.
Had a private tour. Really cool history of American muscle cars & more. Awesome experience - thanks Steve & Mark!!!
Free today- nice surprise. Clean, cool well organized… Easy parking. Informative and at times even exciting. The movie was absolutely terrific. Brought us both to tears for different reasons. If you love the game, you’ll love the museum. Learned a lot… The only thing I would wish for today was a docent to ask a few clarifying questions But that’s OK. I have the Internet in my pocket. Loved the special exhibits as well
Great museum if you are interested in horses and the people who bring the races to life. Many rooms throughout showcase the history and culture of horse racing in Saratoga. I love it here and visit as often as I can.

Located in a repurposed bottling plant, the Saratoga Automobile Museum is a wonderful stop if you enjoy classic cars. In addition to the collection owned by the museum, there are special events and displays. When we were there, the museum had a showing of the cars of the James Bond movies. The downstairs was mostly dedicated to the special showing and the upstairs had what I believed to be permanent displays. The museum is well kept and they make the most of their available space. In addition, there were some classic cars in the parking lot behind the building. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and would love to do it again when I’m in the area.
Nice small museum with a great collection of cars of all types from all eras. Race cars, luxury cars, experimental cars, even Scarface's (Al Capone) car! Downstairs they have different exhibits that rotate in and out (they even had a Corvette on an actual rotating display while we were there). When you first arrive there are race simulators that are fun to "drive". The docents are very knowledgeable and helpful. The building itself is a nice setting. And the gift shop of course has some cool car memorabilia to take home.
The Saratoga Auto Museum never disappoints, but the current Corvette exhibit is truly something special. It’s an absolute thrill to see rare Concept Cars from the GM Collection. Vehicles that are normally tucked away from public view and are on full display. Seeing these innovative designs up close is a one-of-a-kind experience for any auto lover. What made this visit even more meaningful was seeing the incredible artwork of my good friend, Lyn Hiner, showcased throughout the museum. Her vibrant, expressive automotive art adds an extra layer of energy and elegance to the exhibits. It’s fantastic to see her talent celebrated in such a perfect setting. Highly recommend a visit if you're in the area—this exhibit alone is worth the trip!
The Saratoga Automobile Museum is a must-visit for any car enthusiast! The history of cars on display is both fascinating and beautifully presented, giving you a real appreciation for how automobiles have evolved over time. What makes it even better is that the exhibits change every season, so there’s always something new and exciting to see with each visit. The museum does an incredible job showcasing classic and unique cars in a way that’s engaging for both casual visitors and true gearheads. A wonderful experience every time!
Get there early. The staff was very engaging and knowledgeable. The memorabilia was phenomenal. For a lifer in having horses this place is a must.
Small, but very cool. The Corvette display they have going on right now was awesome. Wouldn't recommend for small children.
A nice surprise when we were told about the museum. Nice collection and layout of the cars
Wonderful small museum with a rotating exhibit. We visited during a Corvette exhibition. The tour guides were very knowledgeable. And the upstairs has a very nice and informative permanent exhibit. Was very interesting to see the museum in the old bottling plant. Love seeing how the building is maintained, not destroyed retrofit for the museum. Very nice job!

We had such a wonderful time at The Saratoga Winery! The food was great, and the wines were absolutely delicious. We tried four different flights — red, white, combo, and dry white — and enjoyed every one of them. Our waitress, Heidi, was super friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. I couldn’t resist getting one of their fun T-shirts that says “I make pour decisions” — love it! Highly recommend this place for a relaxing and enjoyable afternoon. 🍷
Met friends for brunch. Nice atmosphere. I'm not much of a drinker but they seemed satisfied with the liquor. It was freezing out and chilly inside so I hoped to get a hot chocolate but they don't offer that. I ordered the biscuit sandwich which was just okay. Lots of fries. An average experience except for the service, which was the opposite of attentive. It was hard to get her attention and when one or two people at the table ordered another drink, the server just left without asking the others if they wanted something. I would have tipped less than my usual 20 to 25% except I didn't get to decide. Tables of 5 or more have an automatic tip added to the bill.
The wine was really good as well as the salad. Tables inside and outside. The outdoor deck seems really nice. I just feel like it’s missing some liveliness. Our server was just okay and not very excited. I think it needs more of a pick me up or upbeat vibe. Maybe it is on the weekend. Other than that it was a nice place and would go back.
What a nice, peaceful place to enjoy a flight of wine. My husband and I were seated out in the very hot sunshine but our wonderful waitress moved us to a shady table on the deck under an awning. She was always on the go yet did her job so thoroughly. I wish I remembered her name. We had a flight of the sweet wines and then had a couple cocktails along with dessert nachos. The dessert nachos were heavenly!
Today we had our little Tori-Lynn’s 7th birthday party at the The Saratoga Winery and it was absolutely beautiful 🤩 We held the party in their wine barn where the 12 kiddos had a fun paint and snack event! The staff was so helpful, caring and swift throughout the entire party experience which truly lightened the load off my shoulders. From the popcorn chicken to the Bloody Mary’s and cocktails for the adults it was so much fun! Thank you to the staff and Annie Rose Brill and Andrew for making this happen for our princess 👸
Personally I expected more out of this winery - I was really looking forward for a vineyard set up however it was a good experience. I loved the decor of the place, the flight of wine and mimosas were great and the service was fine.
I’m a local and this is one of our favorite spots in Saratoga! Great for big groups and family friendly (especially at brunch). Their gluten free pizza is excellent and their other food is always good! I’ve never been with anyone who said they didn’t enjoy their meal there. The staff is always attentive and kind. Whenever people visit us we take them here!
We had our rehearsal dinner for our wedding at The Saratoga Winery and had a wonderful time! We rented out the Barrel Room for our guests and loved the layout of the space for our buffet style dinner. Guests had fun being able to explore the grounds and listen to live music too. The whole team was so responsive to us during the planning process, especially Kam! The Saratoga Winery helped us kick off our wedding weekend and we just can't recommend them enough!

Small but well kept visitor center with knowledgable and friendly staff with suggestions for your trip and historical info about this building which was a former trolley station.. Thank you Joe and Carol!
Great place to check in and see what's going on in town when you visit - or even live there. Staff is very helpful and seem to know everything! i was impressed with the architecture and history of the building. The walking tours are wonderfully insightful.
An elderly gentleman at the visitor center was incredibly helpful. He showed us the most interesting spots since we had limited time and told us what was worth seeing. It was a pleasure talking to him. Overall, the visitor center is large and very informative.
Took the 90-minute walking tour this morning that started from the visitor center and ended up at a nearby casino. It is about a quarter of a mile walking tour. Our guide, Judy, was fantastic. She is a retired history teacher and knew the history of Saratago Springs extremely well. Taste the mineral water from a spring that has been in operation for 200 years. Hands down one of the best visitors centers I’ve frequented. The caveat is that it wasn’t busy but the woman working there spent a good hour talking enthusiastically with me about the region. The building is also really neat because it’s an old train station from the heyday of Saratoga Springs.
Spent the night on business in Saratoga Springs. What a surprise when in the morning I went for coffee. What a beautiful little town. Stopped by the visitor center looking for postcards. The woman behind the desk was Soo nice. She sent me to a little store named impressions. Everyone here is soo nice and kind. I am definitely coming back!
Just had the most delightful experience at the visitor's center. Plenty of informative materials about all tgat Saratoga has to offer. More than something for everyone. The woman tgat came from behind the desk asked such wise and wonderful questions and guided me as I learned about places, events and experiences that I can't wait to see, attend and try. Do stop in, you will learn about things you didn't know about the museums, shops, attractions and history of Saratoga!
It's a very nice and clean place to stop by to get info about the area. There is a 15-min video with highlights, though it could use an upgrade to higher definition. The staff was very friendly. It's a little tricky to find the small parking lot for visitor center: enter from a tiny driveway behind the visitor center right off Congress St, next to a USPS mailbox.

We were visiting Saratoga Springs for the first time and decided to visit the National Museum of Dance. We are ballroom dancers and love the sport! This was so much fun! Dancers after dark was a great exhibit! The park is great too! Will come back again!
I was setting up the florals that I made for a wedding this past weekend. I recommend this as a wedding venue! Absolutely stunning, cannot wait till we go on a Tuesday Tour at 11am with my girls ❤ #FloralsbyKora
Very beautiful..everything was nicely displayed and the staff is very friendly. The children's interactive area is cool for any age. Enjoy and take your time there is lots of history of dance to admire.
A small museum but packed with information. The building itself has an interesting history. The exhibits are well laid out and engaging. The tour was informative and the docent clearly has a passion for dance which showed. We started much longer than we expected and enjoyed every second. Bonus was we came on a Tuesday which was free. Highly recommend going if you're in the area.
Very interesting and well put together museum. Lots of great facts on dance both traditional and modern. The exhibits are beautifully laid out. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have a wonderful, interactive children's area and cute gift shop.
Hosted my daughter's wedding 10/21/2017 at the museum! Ceremony in the gorgeous foyer, cocktails in the solarium and tented reception in the Courtyard! Jo was so helpful recommending Nicole's Catering and Clifton Park Rentals for tent, lighting, and farm tables! The wedding was over the moon beautiful..guests were raving over the food and ambience...and Jo helped us put it all together. Couldn't be happier...Thank you Jo!
This museum was great! There was lots for the adults to see and a great room for the kids to explore music and dance- truly wonderful, my kids had a blast playing instruments and trying on costumes and dance shoes, and then learning to dance in the "studio". Such a great place!
Such a cool place for a wedding! I loved everything about working here. These are some of our favorite wedding photos we have taken and we enjoyed being at this venue. The setting is perfect.

SPECTACULAR! I took my 2 year old daughter here and she absolutely loved it. Check in was quick and simple then we took the elevator upstairs and I was blown away. There are so many different little sections for kiddos to play in and my daughter was so thrilled with all of them. There was a fire truck, vet station, grocery store, ice cream shop, mini house, farm, tour bus, new station, office, and more! There were so many things to interact with in every section and we spent a full 2 hours and she never even got bored! It’s very clean and only as chaotic as the other kids around. There was even a craft at 11 which was super fun too. Highly recommend for kids of all ages and definitely find the sensory room for a little quiet time, I swear my daughter loved it the most.
We took our grandchildren to the Children's Museum this past weekend while we were in Saratoga Springs. All three girls absolutely loved it and did not want to leave. They especially loved the grocery store and scanning items at the check out. Great time for all!
Wonderful for children to play and learn. A great experience not only for the children but parents too. Together enjoy family fun time and maybe make a new friend or 4 while you play. Many different things for children to do together or individually if they prefer. Highly suggest if you are looking for indoor activities in cold weather as well. Although they do have a playground you can enjoy too.
My daughter just had her 3rd birthday party at the Children’s Museum at Saratoga and it was such a fun, engaging, and wonderful experience! I cannot thank the staff enough for going above and beyond to make my girl’s day special. The educational “dino digging” activity was a huge hit and the kids loved play time at all the unique exhibits.
We absolutely love the children's museum!! I've been bringing my daughter since she was 6 months old, and she's 20 months old now. Everything is SO clean, nothing ever seems worn down, and there's plenty for kids of all ages to do. The new playground is just precious!! I'm so glad we have a membership and will definitely be renewing it.
Went for a friend's birthday party and the staff did a nice little craft project with them before they went upstairs to play. The room was a nice size and set up perfectly for preschool age children. Upstairs lots to do for all of the kids and families.
What a great place for the kids to explore and enjoy. They had many different areas of play (fire station, bank, ice cream shop, stables, etc) and kept my boys (8 and 6) entertained for quite a while. They also have a small playground in the courtyard. It’s in the Lincoln Baths building which is helpful to know since the signage is small and limited. Great staff and great place to be a kid!
We loved there. It was very fun and good for children. There was a lot of science and deep information inside. And a lot of things they wanted to experience. I loved every detail inside. Everything was very fine and child-friendly. You will definitely enjoy this experience.

This museum is perfect for history buffs and fans of seeing military guns/ equipment and uniforms. The museum is very well organized. They have different sections with each being a different time period and war that was being fought. The WW1 section was probably my favorite. It had an area where they made it look like you were in a trench. The information given was great and you’ll definitely leave learning something new.
Free entry to a beautifully kept grounds and interior with plenty of info from the Revolutionary War, WWI, WWII, Vietnam, Korean War, etc.
Very cool experience. We weren't sure what to expect and decided to check it out and we're glad we did. The artifacts on display were very neat and it goes through the history of the wars the US we're apart of. If you're looking for something fun (free) in Saratoga definitely check it out.
The collection is outstanding! If you read all of the information, one could easily spend 2 hours here. The women's restroom could use a refresh and parking is at a premium.
This is one of my favorite museums in our area. I am passionate about our veterans and this museum is always paying tribute to them. Recently I was there and toured through the Vietnam War section with Garth LLoyd, a Vietnam vet himself. The staff is very helpful, the exhibits are periodically rotated, the exhibits cover many wars, highlights Saratoga, and this museum is free - I hope you go.
Fascinating tour of New York's military contributions. I was not aware of how much New York was was involved in nuclear submarine technology.
Incredible. I had really no expectations about this museum, and was blown away. Completely unexpected level of exhibits. And the best part. Free! I was happy to donate, but free to the public is a welcome surprise. Super personal exhibits That have retained the details, and humanity of the very people whom donated. Spent at least an hour and a half to see everything.
These nice people helped me to find out about the abandoned Air Force base my father worked at in 1965! Such a great Museum & staff!

Had an amazing experience at the historical museum. Lady at front desk was very nice and everything is well organized and clean.
Whether you are a history buff or not stop here. It's an old casino turned museum. It's three stories of history. We both found stuff that was interesting to both of us individually. Considering my daughter is not a history fan that is saying a lot. The grounds are beautiful. Pictures inside are by permission only.
Nice little museum that shows the rich history of Saratoga Springs. The old Canfield Casino building is beautiful and full of character. Exhibits are small but very interesting, especially the photos and interiors. Worth a quick visit.
Amazing museum! Was very cool to see the history of the town, and also the casino building this museum once occupied. Lots of interesting historical objects and informative displays. Tour guides and staff were very friendly. Highly recommend a visit.
We didn’t get to go in the museum (it was closed) but enjoyed its rich history & beauty from the outside. Landscaped beautifully & looked stunning from the outside.
Tour guide was excellent! Beautiful place filled with history. We really enjoyed the whole experience. There’s also a wonderful park right outside for a lovely walk.
Date of Visit: Saturday July 8th,2023 The history of Saratoga Springs comes alive at the Saratoga Springs History Museum. The city known for Horse racing, and a history of gambling, became a mecca for the rich and elite to come to Saratoga. The museum has artefacts from many areas – industry, architecture, hotels, gambling, and the spring water that the town is known for. The museum is located in an historic building in the heart of the Congress Park. The building used to house one of the original casinos from the town’s hey day. The building is also an old manor house – and each room in the museum houses a new exhibit.
Other than rooms on the 3rd floor being overly warm, I think just a room fan would make that fine and dandy. The museum was lovely and quite informative. Would come back for a spooky event soon

The Tang Teaching Museum & Art Gallery is located on the Skidmore College campus in Saratoga Springs, NY. It has two large gallery rings and two smaller gallery rings. The exhibit spaces are easy to walk around. The museum does have a permanent collection, but often displays traveling or touring art exhibitions. Currently, the works of Alexis Rockman and Mark Dion are on display. The works presented by these artists are interesting, understandable, and enjoyable. Best of all, the museum is free! It takes about an hour or two to see the entire museum. Call ahead for their hours or check their website. Definitely, a nice small art museum for all to see.
Many great exhibits, changes frequently, friendly staff and I love that it is free. I visit several times a year and spend about 2 hours there each time. No matter when I go, I'm interested in art on display. I wish that there wasn't so much empty space inside, I feel like there could be more art to enjoy in this wonderful place.
Nice art museum in the Skidmore college. I really enjoyed the current exhibit of Mark Dion and Alexis Rockman. The elevator seems to be an art installation itself(?) but we did not hear any music.
This is one of those places that make you grateful for rainy days because this was an alternative activity we came upon when our hiking plans got washed out. I have a deep appreciation for the teaching mission of this museum, but an even deeper appreciation for the fact that they don't fall into the trap that so many contemporary art museums do of showcasing work that feels lazy or contemptuous of its audience. For the most part, the pieces on exhibit were thoughtful and thought-provoking, works of careful artistry and compelling, though not conventional, beauty.
Tang Museum is a wonderful space that truly is designed beautifully and Skidmore College was lucky to have it’s own student as a benefactor. We discovered and toured the museum on a special celebration discovery for the public at large to visit it. However we were shocked while visiting the major halls that featured gay photography all alluding or featuring gay and lesbian love (sex) much of it graphic in nature. That day an entire gallery was devoted to young children actively engaged in creating physical art which was very nice but some visited the extensive gay galleries )3/4 of the museum, some parents of the youngsters were shocked when children were looking at sexual scenes and hustled them out of the area. Many works were of existing gay and lesbian students and I realized that Skid-more culture is dominantly gay and the curators of the museum are predominately Skidmore Art Professors and perhaps the art exhibition was to celebrate the School culture and attract such student. I was very surprised that the school is so overly gay as to devout so much of it’s space to feature such art. There was a gallery, much smaller but much more interesting and supported by the black community and visitors of all races to look at how the black community was communicating and documenting it’s history through art and was very interesting. Would I give the Tang museum another chance, yes since I know they have an extensive archive of art acquired that is diverse and interesting if only they displayed it!
I stopped by for a brief visit, the staff were friendly, well informed, and helpful in navigating both permanent and temporary exhibitions. I enjoyed the second floor exhibition which centers on abstract representations of identity topics; such as race and colonization.
Fantastic museum, a gem on the Skidmore Campus. Our guided tour by docent Anne Lowenthal was amazing!
Family events are fun and the staff do their best to engage with children. My kids loved the focus of Space this time around and enjoy the art activities. Just make sure to show up a bit earlier because of limited supplies. They did their best with no prior knowledge of how many people actually wanted to partake. It was a great experience all around definitely doing so again .

Fun date night idea. Staff is very friendly and even help when you go rouge and want to not paint the exact picture. Kathryn was an absolute blast. Very knowledgeable and her style of teaching was not only friendly, but inspirational.
We come by so often! We love to have our date nights here and everyone is always so fun and supportive! My wife and I are not artists and having this as an option to learn some new skills while also have a ton of fun is just so great :)
Adding Saratoga Paint & Sip travel booking to my daughters bridal shower was a hit and absolutely recommended!. Ryan did an excellent job from the 1st point of contact though the end of the event, everything went smooth and as he described. Cecily was a joy, knowledgeable and a great help to the guests too. Several attendees shared they enjoyed painting and it was a lot more fun than traditional bridal shower games. Again, I highly recommend Saratoga Paint and Sip and hope you consider them for your next event.
Loved our private party! Ryan was a wonderful teacher/guide through the process. The charcuterie board was delicious as well as allergen friendly for our group. The wines were also delicious and reasonably priced. We loved it! Would absolutely do again.
Thank you so much for hosting our HVCU team event! We had a great time at your studio learning step by step painting techniques, laughing and unleashing our inner artist. You, your artist, space and of course your mascot Maui stole the show! Highly recommended for team building.
My bestie and I did the Adult Paint & Drip body printing last wkend and I cannot remember the last time we had THAT much fun! Ryan was an absolute riot. So fun Im coming in from Boston and bringing ANOTHER friend. Most charming little art studio that turned into a wild (still mindful and demure (ish...) time. I love these people and consider them my friends now. GO!
This is a beautiful and inspiring place for enjoying and making art. Our group did an hour of painting (and sipping) after a long day of working hard and the art rejuvenated us all. Thank you to Ryan for making art available to the community in this very special place.
We had a great time at a birthday for our 27 y/o daughter. The small group guidance was very nice. The location was easy to get to with parking across the street. I would say the price was a little steep but understand how material costs have skyrocketed over the last few years. A similar 2019 experience in San Diego was significantly cheaper. Overall, we would do it again and recommend it for friends and family.

Gorgeous flowers, friendly vendors, food to make everyone's taste palate happy, tons of fresh fruits and veggies, live music. Great place to shop for the freshest of everything anywhere!
A great little marketplace all sorts of food, craft beers, fruits vegetables they even have a place that serves jerk chicken with a grill with charcoal, they have pitas, fresh squeezed beverages, it's a variety of different individuals that are offering quite unique products that are both yummy and reasonable. If you're in Saratoga it's a must come check it out!
Of the several farmers markets in the upstate area, this is by far my favorite. While it's filled with a solid variety of vendors, they still offer SEVERAL actual farms to buy produce from. Everything is always such great quality, to the point I skip the nurseries and purchase my starter plants here each spring. Look forward to this being a regular weekend event!
Lots of one of a kind vendors. Great food available and live music! The prices were reasonable and I picked up some one of a kind Christmas presents.
Love the Saratoga Farmers Market. I always stop at the Ballston Spa Apiary for honey (delicious) Today I purchased lotion and soap from Thymeless Homestead. It smells amazing and is so creamy
There's always something new here. The mushroom stand has awesome mushrooms. Several food stands. I recommend the Mexican food stand. The soap stand was doing well. We picked up a bottle of bourbon too.
Beautiful floral arrangements, fresh vegetables, excellent breakfast sandwiches, delicious coffee, baked goods, entertainment and more! Large variety of goods. Will be back!
Horrendous !!! They have nothing. For 2 tomatoes 5.00 wth !! People with no respect not properly holding on to thier pitbulls and other aggressive breeds. Heck, they probably don’t care I mean, like what are you gonna sue them for ? thier trailer?Probably the worst Farmer’s Market I have ever been to. Big waste of time .
