Rugged national park in a rocky gorge area featuring rivers, caves & waterfalls.

Loved exploring the insides of Biak na Bato. The Bat Cave is very magnificent and picturesque. There are a lot of water pools to swim in and we had a lot of fun swimming.
Didn't go to the main park, just the surroundings, too old and have wobbly knees to trek. Though the water is still pristine, the area is beginning to become dirty as evidenced by the number of plastic thrash and utensils left by campers. When can we learn to leave nothing but footprints in such a natural wonder for everyone to enjoy?
Quite a pleasant experience visiting this place last January 2023. We were only able to visit 2 caves because we went there already late. We also were not able to swim in the stream because the water was still murky due to continuous rains days prior to our visit. The local guide was quite friendly and very conversational which was good specially for first timers. According to the guide, if we want to swim, there should at least be 5 days of no rain prior to the visit so that the stream will be clearer. Definitely will return to explore more sites.
A 1 km,trail to reach the cave, not so bad for a senior citizen like me whose 68 years of age
The place itself is really beautiful giving it a - 5 since I'm a nature lover. But what went wrong was how they manage of having a lot fees just by going to different caves. (Entrance fee. Tour guide fee. Parking fee. Going to the other caves fee) Was surprise that going to the other caves have fees too. Plus the tour guide was in a hurry. Thought she was in a hurry because we will have a lot of area to visit but no 😟. Other tour guides are not approachable too. Still had fun though coz of the place.
Looking for a spelunking and eco-adventure vibe? This is the place to be. Prep your feet for steep climbs and rocky steps. Be also amazed by the historical background and ecological importance of the place.
It is where Emilio Aguinaldo established his headquarters during the war. It is well preserved historical place. We had a short trek with my family & fur friend and it was fun. Along the path you will pass through rivers, caves & waterfalls.
Another biking destination. Beautiful scenery and the place is serene. A must visit place if you're a nature lover.
Mount Manalmon

Hiking area
Easy hiking destination with a mythical name featuring a cave, river & scenic views. Guide required.

Very underrated mountain it's beauty is at par with Rizal mountains it's beginner friendly you can finish the climb within 3 hrs back n forth depending on the pacing
It was suppose to be a twin hike, but since it was a day after a typhoon, the river is still high and the current is a bit strong, so the tour guide suggested that we do not cross the river to climb Mt Gola. It was rated with 2/9 difficulty, and 196 meters above sea level. For a novice trekker, like i am, this is a good one to start with. Have fun and always be safe! Remember: Kill nothing but time, take nothing but pictures, and leave nothing but footprints!
Great place. Really ideal for first timers. Near in Manila so you can have a DIY climb. Kindly observe your trash though. It'll not be just a mountain, but there'll be caves and rivers. We did a twin hike that day, the Mt. GOLA is the other one. Bring at least 2 liters of water. Water at stops are expensive (justified) I'll let the photos do the talking.
Minor hike and takes less than an hour to reach the summit. There are river crossings and another mountain peak near Mt Manalmon. Guides are courteous and will take care of your safety and well being during the duration of your hike and stay. Expenses: Parking = 30 Guide for twin hike (mt manalmon and mt gola) = 600 Enviromental fee = 20 per person Entrance fee = 20 per person CR shower = 20 to 25 per use
It's considered to be an easy hike, 2 options to setup camp. You can camp by the river or the summit. The hike to the summit is steep so it's really tiring for beginners but view is worth it. There's a restroom by the river, they'll charge 10php to use it. There's also a store, they'll cook noodles for you if you want to. Cold softdrinks if ice was delivered that day. A guide is required hike up towards Mt. Manalmon. Porters are also available for hire. The downside, like other popular hiking places, especially the one categorized as easy is that it can get crowded. It's gets really rowdy with kids coming in, especially on weekends. Throwing rocks, shouting. It's kinda sad that people are not oriented to preserve the place & observe proper decorum when there are other campers. I don't think an orientation is need actually, there's something really wrong with the kids today. They think its a resort, ITS NOT! Mt. Gola is besides Mt. Manalmon, you can easily hike it, provided you still have the energy & endurance. Visit it sometimes, better if not on the weekends.
Mt. Manalmon is preferably for beginners or just like what we called "pabebe hike". This mountain is just 3 hours away from Metro Manila. Mt. Manalmon is just few meters away from Mt. Gola so you can do twin hike. Before you start your hike, you should hire a tour guide because it is strictly implemented. On the trail you'll pass by at the Madlum River and Madlum Cave. I suggest to start your hike as early as 6am so you don't experience the scorching hot temperature especially during summer time as there is no trees that will give you shade on the summit (both Mt. Manalmon and Mt. Gola). As always, the view from the summit is great. But if you will recognize, some part of the mountain is burnt that's what makes me sad 😔. I guess it's not really bad for just a 196 MASL.
Very chill view from the top, the way to get there is nice too which is the shadow forest and not steppy mountain, just enjoy the walk to reach the highest point.
Sorry , Summit wasnt on my album but Mt Manalmon captivates my heart my easy climbing skills tries .. haha ..
