I recently visited Boldt Castle and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment you arrive by boat, the castle feels like something out of a fairy tale. Highlights: •The grounds are beautifully maintained, with vibrant flowers and lush green lawns, perfect for photos (as you can see in mine!). •The stone tower and the castle architecture are breathtaking and so fun to explore. Every corner is rich with history and intricate details. •Inside, I loved the restored rooms, the grand organ and the historic kitchen really transport you back in time. •The views of the St. Lawrence River and surrounding islands are stunning from every angle. The boat ride to and from the castle adds to the adventure. • It can get a bit crowded at the dock, so plan to arrive early if you want a quieter experience. Tips: •Bring a camera, you’ll want to capture every angle! •Wear comfy shoes for walking around the grounds and towers. •Take your time and soak in the romantic history behind Boldt Castle, it’s truly a gem in the Thousand Islands. I highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area. It’s a wonderful day trip for families, couples, or anyone who loves history and beautiful scenery!
We had a beautiful day for a boat ride to Boldt Castle, and it did not disappoint! The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The Castle itself is breathtaking — it’s been preserved in pristine condition. I didn’t see a speck of dust or dirt anywhere. It was so nice to explore at our own pace with the self-guided tour. Tip: Once you pass through Customs but before your ticket is scanned, grab one of the program guides available in both English and French — it really helps you navigate and learn about each area. The Gift Shop is also a must-visit for a great selection of souvenirs. Walking through the Castle was a humbling experience. It’s incredible to see the love George Boldt had for his wife, Louise — keep an eye out for the heart motifs throughout the décor. Wherever he could, he included them, and it adds a really touching layer to the visit. This tour is best suited for adults or interested young adults. There isn’t much to engage children under 13. Overall, I highly recommend making time for this excursion. It’s a perfect blend of history, romance, and stunning views.
When you go online to buy the tickets the very short ferry from the yacht house (where you park the car) to go to Boldt Castle (which is on its own island) is free. Do not be scammed by hotel people saying you can get a discount if you buy the tour. Unless you want to do a tour of the other island and go up and down the water. Otherwise the $32 entrance fee to the castle includes the yacht house, the ferry and the castle. All self guided. Download app to listen. The upper level still are not complete, but renovations are planned. The low levels and some rooms on the second level are renovated and looked really nice reflecting the actual blueprint. The grounds are gorgeous flowers everywhere, and beautiful colorful plants. Every window you look out of in the castle you can see a view of the water, which is amazing. You do get to go to the unfinished upper levels just to see what things look like, but really not much there. A small gift shop on the second floor… relatively moderately priced items. A nice way to spend the afternoon. I think the entire thing took maybe around two hours. Parking is also free. You do have to walk on gravel from the parking lot to the yacht house. So if you have walking disabilities, please note that it’s at least six 700 yards away. You can buy tickets online and save the QR code for each ticket purchased. The little fairy that goes back-and-forth from the castle comes every 15 minutes. When you’re at the actual castle, there’s a very small store that sells things like hotdogs/hamburgers if you are hungry. A very lovely home and will definitely be returning in the future to see what other renovations they have.
We visited Boldt Castle and the Boldt Yacht House on June 29, 2025, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the views of the St. Lawrence River from the castle are absolutely stunning. We took our time exploring each floor, and the restored rooms and historical displays gave us a fascinating look into the Boldt family’s story and the castle’s unique history. The Yacht House was a surprise highlight – the collection of historic boats and the architecture itself were impressive, and the staff there were friendly and knowledgeable, answering our questions with genuine enthusiasm. We enjoyed walking around the docks and seeing the craftsmanship of the old wooden boats up close. There is plenty of space to wander, take photos, and enjoy the river breeze. It never felt crowded, and we appreciated the relaxing pace. The ferry ride to and from the castle was smooth and added to the experience with scenic views of the islands. If you are in the Thousand Islands area, Boldt Castle and the Yacht House are must-see attractions that offer a perfect mix of history, architecture, and natural beauty. Highly recommend spending a few hours here to take it all in.
It was so beautiful!! The staff were extremely nice, knowledgeable and accommodating. We even came upon a proposal at the shell fountain and she said yes! They looked so happy. The boat ride is very short and the docks easy to navigate. The paths are kept clear of debris and the map was easy to follow. I would highly recommend!!!
This place was so amazing. Every single staff member was so sweet. It was just breathtakingly beautiful!!! The gardens, the inside, the outside, you could easily spend an entire day here! My only complaint was that the gift shop was kinda lame. I definitely want to renew my vows here in a few years.
We visited Boldt Castle in the summer, and it was beautiful. We loved the landscaping and the architecture, but the true story behind the "home" was heartbreaking. Walking through the castle felt like trespassing in a shrine to a life that never got to be lived. If you're a Downton Abbey or Gilded Age fan, you don't want to miss this one!
Such an amazing piece of history to visit and story to learn. They have restored a good portion of the castle and other buildings and the grounds are also beautiful. What a wonderful way to spend a beautiful summer afternoon. We were lucky it was not too busy and were able to appreciate the beauty of Heart island. We did a 5-hour excursion from Rockport which included a 3 hour stop at the island. Well worth it!

An excellent wine-tasting experience! The selection is impressive—from the dry Bourbon Barrel Marquette with its rich, smooth bourbon finish, to the sweet and vibrant North Country Red that tastes like grape juice and mixes perfectly into cocktails. The tasting room is warm and inviting, with a friendly, knowledgeable staff. Lisa and her team go above and beyond, offering insightful tours that highlight the winery’s fascinating history. It’s a great destination to relax, explore, and enjoy. Don’t leave without grabbing a bottle (or two)—perfect for sipping at home or out on the boat. Already looking forward to coming back and discovering more favorites!
Easy, Easy, Easy, Easy We stayed overnight via Harvest Hosts for RV travelers. After an EASY border crossing back to the U.S. from over a month's visit to Canada (we needed to give up our frozen chicken, eggs, and tomatoes), it was EASY to get to the winery and EASY to park. We made our wine purchases and met up with family nearby for a Fourth of July cookout. Big bonus: when we returned to our rig, we were treated to a great fireworks display from neighbors of the winery. We are still in the area for a few days, and will be back for a few more bottles of wine to take home with us. Our hosts were great, so it is EASY to recommend this Harvest Host stay!
This venue goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels valued. The staff was attentive, making sure each customer was taken care of and checking in to confirm everything was just right. The wine tasting area was spotless, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting—perfect for a relaxed outing. What really stood out was the presence of the owner, Steve. He happened to be walking around and took the time to personally chat with guests. He was incredibly down-to-earth and welcoming, adding a personal touch that made the experience even more special. Overall, the place radiates excellent family vibes. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great service, a clean and friendly environment, and a memorable visit!
Katherine provided amazing service. We actually returned to this particular winery to see her again over trying a new one. The wines and cheeses are of course delicious as well.
2024 Blossom Festival Another fun visit to Thousand Island Winery! Our annual tasting and stop at the festival did not disappoint. Large variety of red and white wines ranging from dry to sweet, tasting was informative on farm history and grape growing in a colder climate. I also indulged in a Berry Wine Slushy! A good amount of vendors with various crafts, hand made soaps, jewelry, spices and more. Live music and food , slushy truck during festival, River Rat cheeses available. Always a must stop when in the Thousand Island Region!
I'm gonna be honest a few months ago this score would have been lower which was sad because I love their wine BUT Kathryn was AMAZING! She came into the wedding planning late because she hasn't been their as the events coordinator long but I hope they keep her forever because she was amazing! She communicated well, was super sweet and understanding of my previous frustrations with their last wedding coordinator and made up for it and then some! I can't wait to see all the lovely ceremonies and receptions people will have with her at their side!
What a great place! We were there part of the Harvest Host program. We got to enjoy the food and music of Octoberfest and spend the night. Food was great and the wine even better.
I had a disappointing experience at Thousand Island Winery recently that I feel compelled to share. My daughter and I, both of legal drinking age and holding valid Pennsylvania IDs, were excited to enjoy a day of wine tasting together. However, our experience quickly turned sour when we were informed by the staff that they could not serve my daughter due to the format of her Pennsylvania license, which is vertical. What made the situation even more frustrating was that the staff acknowledged that my daughter was indeed 21 years old. Despite this, they still refused to serve her based solely on the vertical format of her ID. We felt dismissed, and our concerns were not taken seriously. The staff seemed unaware of the nuances surrounding state ID regulations and did not offer any alternative solutions or explanations. As loyal patrons of this winery, we were disappointed to see how poorly we were treated. Instead of a delightful day of tasting wines, we left feeling unwelcome and frustrated. Moving forward, we will not be returning to Thousand Island Winery. I hope they reconsider their policies and training around serving guests with valid identification to prevent others from having a similar experience.

THE INFORMATIVE REVIEW YOU'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR... - free parking can be found directly in front of the bridge toll booth (10-15 spots) if you want to walk the bridge that crosses the St. Lawrence River. It looks like a border security booth, but isn't. Don't worry. The border crossing is AFTER the big tower attraction. You won't need your passport unless you pass the area after the tower. - the pedestrian bridge walkway is safe, but narrow - if you drive across the bridge, the toll fee is $4 ish - the bike trail before the bridge toll booth does not lead to the bridge, so don't use this path - it won't take you where you want to go. You have to drive to the free parking lot and then walk 1 minute to the start of the bridge. - the bridge walk is worth it. If it's you're first time in the area, definitly walk across. The sights are fantastic. - directly on the other side of the bridge (still on the Canadian side of the border), check out the border store and get the fudge. Yummmmmm.
Crossing the Thousand Islands Bridge is a wonderful experience. The views from the bridge are breathtaking and the toll is $5. If you are planning to visit the Thousand Islands Tower, make sure to check their schedule in avance because they close early.
I highly enjoy the scenery and the beautiful drive along this bridge. To be honest this bridge has better view than the US version of the bridge. If you have time it’s definitely worth driving over to witness the greenery.
Walking across using the pedestrian walkway is a fun activity to do if you are already in the area. There are some very nice views and photo ops. The bridge does move a bit when larger trucks cross so obviously not recommended for anyone uncomfortable with heights. The walkway is one person wide in parts and a bit wider in others, so you should be able to pass other walkers if necessary. There were no other pedestrians when I was there. There are signs indicating that bikes are not allowed on the walkway.
Harrassed, and called a liar at the border. Stated I had a charge of criminality which I never received! And WILL PROVE! They stated I was never in Canada, despite over 15 trips! And so I found my passport with customs stamps, airline tickets for AIR CANADA. In/out of Canada,But; they have no records? Yeah, right... I WILL provide all that yr system is corrupted in and not showing.
Its over 1000, and you ll encounter some beautiful small islands... We took a boat tour of this island 1000 Island and guide were well aware of what he was doing. He informed us about each and every island on the route. This boat tour was on Saint Lawrence river which comes from Canada. It was thrilling to know one side of the river is the USA and another side is Canada and houses on Canada side were so close, the person sitting on his patio can even wave us. Guide told us, for being an island, it should have 3 criteria, tree-house and the third thing I don’t remember. We were amazed to see island having just one house and no space at all. Wondering how a person living there was able to stay there so long. Guess they are done with humans: P The beauty of Thousand Island is the bunch of unique small island in a vast water zone. The islands were super clean and have millionaires staying there. The staff was amazing and snacks on board we all reasonably priced. Our tour included 3 hours of time to get to the island and have a 1-hour stopover. Which was plenty of time. The way home included a stop to Bolt Castle with the option of catching any other Uncle Sam boat back to shore. The scenery is magnificent; the choice of things to do is great, but mostly it is a relaxing time. Enjoy both a sunrise and a sunset over the St. Lawrence.
This is a beautiful bridge… I went on a boat ride back in 2019, and came across the beauty… there was a tour guide who was amazing and explained the pieces of history with such detail… would recommend this as a family vacation.. worth the money and the memories😊
Incredible scenery! I wish I knew more about it before passing through. It would be worth spending time there exploring.

Heart Island is a charming destination, perfect for a day trip. We embarked on a five-hour cruise from Kingston (Gananoque), which felt a bit lengthy; three hours would suffice, including time to explore the island. Upon arrival, we faced a lengthy customs line, waiting over 30 minutes, which was less than ideal. However, the island itself is delightful, with its stunning castle showcasing impressive architecture. Overall, it's a lovely getaway, but plan for potential wait times and consider a shorter cruise for a more enjoyable experience.
Gorgeous place and worth taking the cruise. Also PARKING IS FREE!! My friend and I did the 1hr cruise and we thought 1 hr was more than enough
Visiting Boldt Castle on Heart island is a must do if in the 1000 island region. Such a beautiful place and island. The renovations are ongoing but it is amazing no ne the less.
I’ve been twice for 2 years, fantastic experience! Natural beauty surrounding this island 🏝️ ride on the ship ⛴️ *Problem with public restrooms 🚽
WOW is all I can say. Go here if you love boat rides, taking pictures and to be amazed by the magnificent 59,000 sq ft castle.
Gorgeous island! The story behind it is impeccable… very captivating and interesting! I went here on a vacation with my family back in 2019! I heard great things about Heart Island and it did NOT disappoint… truly beautiful if you are in the area and need somewhere to go on a vacation! Lovely architecture as well…
The island is named as its shaped like a heart. You can feel relax when borading Heart Island. The castle has a beautiful story. It's pity that the castle is not finished interior decorations above the 3rd floor, otherwise you can overlook the scene from higher. It is located in the U.S.. If you are Canadian passengers boarding Heart Island, you have to pass through U.S. Customs first. It is mush convenient and closer if take a cruise in the U.S..
The cruise and time spent touring Boldt Castle was extremely interesting and worthwhile!! Beautiful area!!!

5 Stars Wellesley Island State Park is amazing! The campsites are clean and spacious with beautiful river views. We loved the hiking trails, kayaking, and the nature center. The staff was friendly, and the facilities were well-maintained. Perfect spot for a relaxing getaway—highly recommend!
The campground was quiet and clean. Raccoons visited a few of the nights so it is important to put your food up or in the tent. Sites were all different sizes but generally spacious . Quiet time is observed after 10pm. Bathrooms were spacious and clean with 2 showers and 3 stalls. Minna Nature Center on the grounds was a great place to get closer to nature. Lots of places to ride bikes, wallk or hike .
The staff were very helpful when we were checking in. The site for the RVs was well appointed, however you are packed in really tightly with other campers. The camp is very family oriented with boat launches and bike trails. You can bring 2 dogs with you and the bathrooms are cleaned regularly in the morning. Happy camping!
The campsite are right on top of each other, I don’t like people that much! The beach area is small and Too regulated, my grandkids that are 3&5 And know how to swim and also had a floatie on, was told they could go pass the first rope , which Only went to their knees,(what 6 inches of water), how are they to have any fun scraping their stomach on the sand if they wanted to be even in the water (WTH),,without an adult which we were right there next to the water. Your rules are dumb, and you had a life guard on duty so what are They good for, just don’t have one!!
This was a great campground! We stayed for a week and it was a blast. The beach was nice and the docks/ launch were staffed well. We will be back.
Clean facilities, sites. Camp store has lots of items you might have forgotten to pack. Stall was friendly and helpful But best of all are the other campers! And the view of the St Lawrence!
A nice state park between the United States mainland and Canada. Coming on the island from either direction costs $4.00 for a car and $9.00 for a truck and trailer. It does not cost to leave the island in either direction. The Canadian border is about a five minute drive. The campground has primitive to full hook up sites. Loop F is the full hook up sites and there is no bathhouse. Most people bring their boats and leave them at the marina while leaving their boat trailers at the campsites. In Loop F, most sites are in the full sun and mostly level. There is a camp store selling ice and other necessities. The building with the store also has an arcade and laundry. There is also a public swimming beach.
Listen, if you’re afraid or nervous around raccoons and skunks DO NOT TENT CAMP HERE!! We had to sleep in our car the second night because we spent the entire first night trying to get a colony of 5 raccoons to leave us alone!! We thought they wouldn’t come back the second night but oh my did they ever. I didn’t know raccoons could growl and be scary until this trip-greetings to my latest phobia due to this distressing stay! Also, tent sites are so close together your neighbors tent will be butted up against your picnic table. Note: we are seasoned campers, this was not our first rodeo around wildlife and we’re still alarmed by the amount of persistent raccoons.

Nice park on the bay, between a medium and small size, absolutely beautiful views. Has a public bathroom, lots of benches, playground, beach/swimming area, and a large Pavillion on top.
Within walking distance from downtown. Great place to take the family for a picnic. There is a small beach and a play ground. Don't forget you r on the St. Lawrence River so you have the chance to observe all the huge freight ships going in or out of our country. An awesome sight !
top tier sunset spot, wheelchair access to the lower park, as well. frequent this spot pretty often, usually not too busy, always clean, great view of the castle.
I agree this is the hidden gem of the city.. (Although the pirates can find it on pirate weekend. )We've come here for years. We usually go up first thing in the morning.Bring up breakfast with us and sit there and watch the boats and listen to the water. It's quiet and beautiful. I like that. They've installed an elevator to get the handicapped down to and up from the docks. I also love the genius installation of the weather curtains around the pavilion. There's a small but adequately stocked kids playground to the left looking at the pavilion. It is meter parking here so remember that. There are picnic tables and a couple of grills outside of the pavilion. There are public bathrooms inside the pavilion. A bridge. Connects the island to the mainland. Casino island. Its tiny and covered with adirondack chairs.
Love this park, so relaxing and great place to enjoy the weather and see all the boats and jet skis. It was a shame to see the grass so burnt this year, but it was a hot summer.
Certainly has scenic views!
One of the most beautiful views of the Thousands Islands and Boldt Castle!

Stopped in during Christmas in July. It was such a great experience we went back a couple of times diring our few days in the area. The staff was amazing the drinks were spectacular. We did a tasting flight as well and were actually taught the best way to properly do a tasting definitely changed the game. Can't wait to go back again to enjoy this establishment.
My wife and I stopped in this week and met one of the owners. He was very friendly and asked us if we knew how to properly taste bourbon or whisky? We did not so he shared with us proper way. We definitely enjoyed our time and experience with this distillery and left with over 100.00 dollars of product. Definitely returning
This has become my new favorite distillery. I first ran across them at the Pulaski, NY farmers market, and tasted several samples and bought a couple of bottles there, then yesterday I was at their Distillery in Alex Bay, and they were just so nice letting us sample some before we made three more purchases. We had a nice conversation and what a relaxing atmosphere there. Then we just happened to be in Clayton and they were having a festival there, and dark Island Spirits had a tent setup and again allowed us to sample some more. Very friendly, and extremely accommodating. I will be back!
Visiting from NJ! We had a wonderful experience here. The staff and drinks were amazing! I had a few pineapple coconut slushy with their rum! Delicious! Will go back before we leave. Update: we went back for a second time and had another great experience. We will be back visiting next July will definitely be back to the distillery!
Absolutely awesome find and the perfect way to wile away a rainy afternoon in the Thousand Islands. Upscale spirits distilled on site, along with cocktails crafted with deft imagination and perfect execution. Dog friendly, warmly welcoming proprietors, all around super way to spend some time.
It’s our favorite place to go in the Bay! Friendly and professional service. They are also very knowledgeable about their craft. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Alexandria Bay!
This great little distillery is dog-friendly and the spirits and cocktails are excellent. Gretchen and Mike make an excellent old fashioned. We bought 3 bottles to go after our afternoon there. Highly recommend!
We had a nice time doing a tasting here! The staff was friendly. The raspberry crush was our favorite, and the grapefruit vodka was our second favorite. We had high hopes for the Citron, but it had a slightly soapy after taste. They whiskey/bourbon selecting was good, but there wasn’t anything I felt I needed to pick up. I would stop here if you’d like to relax! I hear a few people really enjoying the slushees too!

Such a neat museum with loads of history on the islands- this is definitely THE place to go if you're curious to know the story behind the islands, boats, and the people that lived here. The staff was super friendly and invested in the history.
Wonderful little museum to learn about the history of the Islands and see some really cool antiques. The tour guide was very welcoming. Also the views of the river from the back window were beautiful. Admission is free but donations are suggested
We visited 8/20/2024 prior to embarking on a twilight river cruise. It's a very nice small museum featuring many turn of the century items. Budget about an hour to see it. The day before our visit we took a 5-hour river cruise where the history of many of the islands were described. It was impossible to remember it all so I asked if there were any books that described the most popular ones and it turns out that there are two: "Meandering Among the Islands" and "The Thousand Islands: 101 Points of Interest...and then some". The former has detailed descriptions whereas the latter has generally shorter summaries but is accompanied with nautical maps. I'd recommend getting both as they complement each other. But what really made my day was that I got to meet Judy Keeler, the co-author of each book, who just happened to be at the museum for a meeting! I would also like to especially thank Andrea, the museum’s dedicated docent, for her tour and extra information.
This is a hidden gem! Kathy greeted us warmly. She gave my son a “treasure map” to find items in the museum and won his prize after finding them all. It covers the regions’ part in the War of 1812, it’s boating legacy, and everyday life from past to present.
Cute little place to check out history of Alexandria Bay. 3 floors of interesting things to look at! No cost, they just ask to donate if you can for upkeep of museum.
When it comes to museums this one is an absolute gem, it was once a general store and still holds many of the original items that were in it there are three floors of exhibits with lots of History being in the heart of the Thousand Islands and directly across from the castle on Heart Island
Fantastic views into the past and across the river! The people were excellent and very knowledgeable about the history of the area.
A beautiful place to get lost in history and learn so much about 1000 Islands. We never fail to visit here every time we come to 1000 Islands. Also, everyone at museum is .so cordial. A must visit attraction in Alexandria Bay.

Our state parks are generally excellent. And grass Point is no exception. Clean utilities. Docking, boat rentals, plenty of shady campsites. Excellent fishing. You're close to things you may need. The park is well kept and clean. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Just all around a fun and relaxing place to be. Oh and don't forget the clean beach with active life guards. Right near the beach is a nice sized play ground. The bathrooms are clean and are cleaned regularly by park staff. I've been here a week. And not once was there no toilet paper in the stalls.
The girl lifeguard, she called the border patrol of usa against me. she was maybe jealous that i was talking more to her friend... her friend stand up from the chair to show her ass and then a minute later a second time on the beach and then looked at me with a big smile. the one with brown hair long. . i just went say hello to her and asked a question. then the blond co worker came to talk to me to answer my question and started to talk to me long time. she was not on the chair. our co-worker was on watch on the chair. therefore i was not disturbing there on watch work. she was attracted by me. but i was not. if she was feeling unconfortable, she will not talk to me that long. i told them i am newcomer etc . the point is they are youngs and its not appropriate to call police on a customer if they feel unconfortable. you call your boss in that situation like any human been normal will do. i think she was jealous that i talked to her friend during our break after. she liked to talk to me very long time with me. then they told me about different cities that i can visit etc. . i gave my business card . then went back next day to quick swim then said hello from 50 feets away and told the brown hair girl, i was going to visit clayton. that said it is nice to visit. the third day which 2 days later, i cane again not long time to swim but did not talk to them. blond girl, instead to ask her superviser to come talk to me about make them feel unconfortable. she called border patrol that day. then the police today after i told her i will make a complaint to her supervisor and maybe the police. she was not stressed or not affraid of me at all. she told to state park police she was feeling unconfortable again. she lied. she was angry that i told her i will call police and report her to her supervisir. she make up a false story to justify to call the police. you don't call the police on a customer if the customer said that he will conplain to her supervisor against her and maybe call the police. the worse the police beleive her story. the fact are she was angry that i told her i am calling the police right now. and it was 4th time I go there and the supervisor told me if i am ok with my truck engine issue. he said he was not aware of the border patrol that came to visit me two days ago. to come back to that blond hair lifeguard . then i go swim and say hello to her. she ignored me with a smile in corner like she did not care of me. i said why are watching at the horizon, is there something wrong ? why are you ignoring me? then i said somebody called Border Patrol police two days ago she said yes we contacted border patrol police on me, she seem enjoy to ignore me with a smile and was very rude with me. like if she don't know me attitude. She has a job because there is customers that pay membership. she said to police because they was feeling not comfortable. ..her friend with brown hair that i was talking originally for the first time. like play game with mans.... then i went swim a minute and on my way back far from her, like 100 feets away, then i told her i will go complaint about her to the park supervisor and maybe police. then she call the police again on me again at the same time i was going to call 911. she was trying to cover up and make a false story to the police and supervisor of state park was behind the police pick ups. at the same time that i called 911. same police state park came to me after they talk to her boss and her (the one maybe jealous that i talked longer with her friend with brown hair) the police told me i did not commit a crime that i can go back to the beach etc. I talked to other lifegusrds on the beach in my life and in fact it was them they was keep continue to talk long time. the blond hair and broen hair girls know i just got my E2 Entrepreneur visa and it took me 14 months and $92,000 usd in investment to get approved. We are customers, you just need call your supervisor when you feel uncomfortable... I almost want a refund of my visa...
More beautiful than we expected. Very well maintained. Manicured lawn areas. Great beach and swimming area for kids with a big play area right across from it. Good surfaces and sidewalks for kids to ride their bikes on. Campsites are in mature trees. Quiet. Big pavilions overlooking the St. Lawrence. Beautiful sunsets and breeze off the river.
Our favorite stat park! Right by the River with decent sites right by or on the water with a great view. The electric sites go quick but tons of non-power sites. Shower house has always been clean too. Great playground and they also have a baptism launch. If you camp here be sure to check out Gals ice cream right down the road, best ice cream in town!
Grass Point State Park is a hidden gem where I find peace and relaxation, far from the noise and crowds. The water is perfect and refreshing on a hot summer day, and if you own a boat or any watercraft, you can easily cross over to visit Boldt Castle.
Very nice small little “beach”. We went on a Wednesday so it might have been a little less packed due to that fact. Lots of rest rooms and very clean. People were friendly. Noticed alot of campers utilizing the facilities as well. Would recommend
This park and camp has to be the cleanest one I have ever been to! I cannot say enough about this place! Even though there were dogs at every campsite around us but not once did I hear any of them barking in the middle of the night. I also love how small the park is. Every campsite is a premium site! There are no words for the sunset we had all three nights. I would recommend this park if you have small kids also. We will definitely be back!
We camped on a spot on the river with a view of the 1,000 Island bridge in the distance. Many spots although not right on the water can still see it. Sites were not packed tight. Nice park. Restrooms were clean.

Nice hike on well maintained trails. The map at the enterance is easy to understand and there are nice lake views. I am a plant nerd so enjoyed the diversity there. Overall nice scenic trails. The cattail loop could be improved but still give this 5 stars.
Very nice! This is great for hiking with dogs or children; we took our 2 pups & our toddler. The trails are really muddy when it has rained in the past few days but it's easy to get around those areas. Beautiful views all around!
A short pretty hike took about an hour to hike all the trails on the map Dog friendly 2/10 differently, there was some elevation gain No bathrooms
A good place for easy short hikes. Bring bug spray! We started the hike from Bridge trail and finished from Observation Tower. Can enjoy the nature and get some exercise.
Ticks. Loads of ticks here. It is very pretty but my dog had a bunch of ticks on her by the time we got back to the car just walking the path and sniffing the outskirts of the trails
A great easy hike.. great scenery the entire preserve u can do in about 2 hrs..
Nice and well maintained large trails with a view at the end of each loop. Perfect to walk your doggy!
Amazing trail!!! Easy walk, well marked and very beautiful!!

A wonderful place filled with pop up shops, great food, drink and music venues right on the river. The best thing is..no ticket when I inadvertently spent a few hours there and didn't know I had to feed the meter....no ticket, just a friendly envelope as a reminder to give back..Thank you Alex Bay Chamber for making my day even brighter. 😊
Beware of using Clayton Island Tours for any private charters. They violated their contract by taking a privately chartered wedding boat to run a side trip for a tour group when they were paid to wait at the wedding venue for guests. Surprise!! Wedding is over: no boat, gone with our purses, catering, drinks , etc. Guests wait in hot sun for an hour until they returned with a boat full of strangers to our wedding venue . Breach of contract ,theft of valuables, lying, not even a phonecall to apologize offer resolution. Stay away from this boat company.
I want to warn people about using the Swan Bay Resort Marina in Alexandria Bay. I just got charge a lot of money for them claiming I did damage to a pontoon boat that I had rented. I was blindsided by the bill on my credit card for something I claim I did not do. I've been coming to Alex Bay to rent boats and this is the first time at this Marina. I will never return and I recommend that people be very wary to this outfit.
Very Informative agents - excellent customer service skills - the Chamber is the 1st place I call for Hotel, Festival, Restaurant, Tours, etc.
Experienced staff and friendly to all! They have information on the entire area, not just Alexandria Bay. Check it out!
Great people! Bet helpful.
Informative, kind, courteous, pleasant. Nicely idealistic.

From a picnic to overnight camping, Mary's Island is an awesome location. Accessible only by boat, it is a semi isolated location that is very relaxing.
Only avalible from boat, so you either need to own your own boat or pay a minimum of $100 to get to the campgrounds, on top of that, trying to get ahold of someone on the phone in the office is impossible. They tell you they'll call back but you dont hear back from them. I now have to cancel my plans there because they aren't answering me and now im going to have to go threw the struggle of getting the refund. Extremely dissatisfied!
Quiet, relaxing and every site has privacy and shade. Boat in and sit by a fire watching the world pass by (and cargo ships depending which side of the island you stay on). It has turned into an annual place to visit.
Its always a great time. Relax and enjoy the water around you.
