Hey there! I’ve got a fantastic place to recommend in Long Island - it’s a must-visit if you’re in the area! You can learn about one of the most interesting Presidents the USA has ever had, and it’s all about nature and the outdoors. Make sure to book your tour in advance on the website to secure your spot. Afterward, take a stroll down to the beach, pack a picnic, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. There are meadows, woods, and trails to explore, and stunning views of the Sound. Oh, and don’t forget to bring your furry friend - dogs are welcome! There’s so much history to discover here, it’s a real gem. Trust me, it’s a must-visit when you’re in the lovely Oyster Bay!
One of the best Historical place to visit with family. My 14 & 7 years old loved the place and This .7 mile loop trail winds through a 34-acre Oak-Tulip-Hickory forest bordering a salt marsh and beach on Cold Spring Harbor. Highly recommended to visit Sagamore Hill National Historic Site.
Visited the historic home of President Theodore Roosevelt today! The house is not only a glimpse into his life, but the surrounding area is absolutely stunning. If you’re ever in the area, this is definitely a must-see
We took a driving tour of the north shore of Long Island and one of the main stops was Sagamore Hill. Just saw a great documentary on Teddy so we had to come here. Unfortunately the house was closed but we spent an hour walking around the house and property. Very nice setting. House is very large but not too fancy.
This was a place on my bucket list. The property is really nice. Since the government is closed we couldnt your the mansion or Museum on the property. They have nature walks on the property that was amazing that brings you to a long dock to the beach on Cold Springs Harbor. So much to see from a bygone era. One thing was disappointing was the lack of opulence being a very wealthy family. The other the lawns not mowed and no formal gardens. The lawn could be because of the government shutdown.
Sagamore Hill National Historic Site offers a great experience and informative life of Theodore Roosevelt and his family while living at the "Summer White House." Nestled in the tranquil surroundings of Oyster Bay, this historic estate provides a fascinating window into the personal and presidential life of Theodore Roosevelt. Visitors can walk the same grounds once frequented by the 26th President and explore the home that served as his summer retreat — a place where national decisions mingled with family memories. The museum shares some of Theodore Roosevelt's biography and family experiences through photography and other artifacts. Inside the museum, guests are invited to journey through Roosevelt’s legacy via compelling exhibits. Archival photographs, treasured heirlooms, and personal artifacts weave together a vivid tapestry of his life, highlighting both his public achievements and private moments with family. The museum also has many activities, including a bit of hiking, nature exploring, tours, and bird watching, just to mention a few. Beyond the exhibits, Sagamore Hill offers a variety of enriching outdoor activities. Visitors can enjoy leisurely hikes through scenic trails, engage in nature exploration, join guided tours of the estate, or simply relax while birdwatching in the peaceful surroundings. It’s a destination that blends history, nature, and adventure, perfect for curious minds and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
I recently visited Sagamore Hill and was thoroughly impressed it’s a perfect blend of history, nature, and peaceful reflection. Here’s what stood out: I loved touring the home of Theodore Roosevelt is a unique experience. The house is beautifully preserved and gives you a real sense of how Roosevelt worked and lived. I also enjoyed the nature trail which lead tit he water. It made me think of what our guide mentioned about how Rosevelt would take the children out on a walk midday as a break. I’m sure he would have walked this trial with them. It’s a short loop through oak-tulip forest, salt-marsh, and beach offers quiet beauty and wildlife sightings (deer, birds, etc.). Parking was easy and there was plenty of space; the area doesn’t feel over-crowded, which allowed for a calm, enjoyable visit. I appreciated how the site balances natural scenery with a rich meaningful history. Oh and don’t forget the museum, it’s full of great information and engaging. Loved it. Tips: Bring a snack or lunch: the picnic area is nice, but the on-site options are limited. Wear comfortable shoes for the easy trail. Reserve the guided house tours and plan your time accordingly. We didn’t have a reservation so we waiting for no shows. It was risky, but we were able to see the home thanks for a rainy day. One more tip, sit in the rockers in the porch and just let some time pass, it’s so peaceful. Sagamore Hill is a fantastic place to visit, It feels thoughtful, peaceful, and well maintained. I’d highly recommend a visit.
My kid (6yrs old) and I was reading the book “who was Theodore Roosevelt” and learnt he was from Oyster Bay, New York. One Sunday my son asked if we could visit Sagamore Hill to see Theodore Roosevelt’s house National Historic site. The drive to Sagamore Hills was breathtaking with beautiful fall colors in October. We reached the site around 5pm right before the sunset and the view from the house was beautiful. We took some pictures and our kids loved reading photographs about Theodore Roosevelt’s home and all the landscape around it. The place was well kept and very informative for kids to learn about some history about the site. It is a nice place to visit, explore and for trail walk.

Absolutely breathtaking. This place was massive, the gardens and flowers were very well-kept, SO SO BEAUTIFUL!! The restrooms were clean, parking was cheap, and don’t forget to bring a camera! One thing I will mention though is the amount of birthday and weddings photos people were taking there. We couldn’t enjoy the camellia house because it was unfortunately rented out for a birthday photo shoot, which by all means please take great bday pictures but it was just a tad bit disappointing.
What a truly magical and beautiful wonderland! I seriously could've walked this area for 3 to 4 hours but the heat was SCORCHING. I loved how serene and visually stimulating this place is. It is accessible- friendly. There were benches appropriately placed throughout the property for those who have limited mobility or who need a break from walking for a bit. Also, this is a great place to consider having a picnic, a date, an engagement, or a wedding party. There were a few places I wanted to visit but time and heat were not on my side so I must return on a future date.
A huge state park with many different kinds of tree and plants. I love the green house especially 👍 (but it closes on Tuesday). I didn't get into the Main House but took many pictures outside. There were a few groups of people taking photos when we visited. It seems like this is a popular place for wedding pictures. No food sold here but they're a few picnic tables near the restrooms. We were lucky to see the Rose Arbor's peak bloom on our second visit. And what I like the most is it's not crowded in weekdays and seniors get free parking 😜
This park is truly one of the best spots to relax, go hiking, have a picnic, and enjoy a peaceful photoshoot. The natural scenery is breathtaking—lush greenery, well-maintained trails, and plenty of shaded areas to sit and unwind. There are scenic walking paths perfect for all ages, a serene atmosphere for meditation or reading, and open spaces that are ideal for family gatherings or simply spending quiet time in nature. It’s also a great place for birdwatching, or just getting some fresh air away from the noise of the city. Highly recommended for nature lovers.
Very pretty gardens and green houses. Just be warned that most places are closed on Tuesday. Libraries also offer free admission and parking passes.
Planting Fields Arboretum is such a beautiful and peaceful escape from the city! The grounds are incredibly well-kept, with something lovely to see in every direction — from vibrant gardens to quiet wooded paths. The greenhouse is a must-see, filled with exotic plants and a tropical feel that’s great year-round. It’s the perfect place for a long walk, a picnic, or just some time to relax in nature. The historic Coe Hall adds a charming touch, and there’s plenty of space to explore without feeling crowded. Definitely one of my favorite spots on Long Island — a hidden gem worth visiting in every season.
Absolutely beautiful and peaceful. It’s amazing that it’s a state park and open to the public. I can’t wait to take a tour of the house next time!
Breathtaking, absolutely gorgeous and peaceful place to visit, and spend few hours in nature. The gardens are full of vibrant flowers.🌷💕

Lovely place. Peaceful. Fresh air. Nature. Walkable distance from Oyster Bay LIRR train station. Sea waves and birds sound. Splendid. About 1.5 hours from Penn Station, Manhattan. About 10 dollars 1 way. Mind u train is every 2 hours. Missed it, need to wait another 2 hours. Have small pier to walk on too.
For several decades, I have frequented this picturesque park in Oyster Bay. It is an exceptional destination, renowned for its numerous celebrations. The park offers convenient access to the beach, an extensive network of walking trails, barbecue areas, baseball fields, tennis courts, playgrounds, volleyball setups, and breathtaking views of the sound. Additionally, free parking is available. A popular walking trail along the water leads to nearby Bayville. This historical park is a must-visit during your stay in Oyster Bay.😎🇺🇸✌️
Sprawling waterfront park and boat launch. This park connects to other beautiful public spaces and walks that make for a great day of exploring and hiking.
Clean Park with lots of space to relax, exercise and kids to run free. There are playground and outdoor sporting facilities. Now and then there are events. Good place for a picnic. Benches all around, some in the sun, some in the shade invite to stay and enjoy. The view of the bay is soothing. Center Island is right across and it's fun to spot the many boats and yachts in the harbor.
I absolutely love Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park! The park is spacious and well-maintained, with plenty of open areas for picnics, walks, or just relaxing. One of the best perks is the free parking, which makes visiting hassle-free. Sports enthusiasts will appreciate the multiple tennis courts and softball fields—perfect for a game with friends or family. Fishing is also a great option here, adding to the park’s variety of activities. The nearby beach is clean and inviting, making it a great spot to unwind after some time in the park. Whether you're into sports, fishing, or just enjoying nature, this park has something for everyone. Highly recommend!
This is the most beautiful public park, walking sport facility, beach and wonderful friendly community! So quite!!! Peace full…
Been to this beach & park many times but recently saw Dr K. Motown revue. Amazing show, full moon beautiful park.
Loved the park! We had a triathlon race there organized by Event Power on 8/27/2023. Beautiful water views, nice grounds and well maintained. There is a trail that goes along the shore line and it is perfect for running! 🏃‍♂️

What an excellent brewery - full of space and such a friendly environment. Top notch service! Try some flights to get the full experience. Bar Rocker - official beer of the Islanders - Long Island string!
We were doing some touristy stuff and stopped in to check out Oyster Bay Brewing! It's similar to a lot of other smaller breweries. The server did a great job considering she was holding down the whole place by herself. They have tastings available if you wanted to sample a few before purchasing. We found a couple that we really liked. They did have a few different types of wine for non-bear drinkers too. We did have one of their hot pretzels, which I will admit was really good. I guess they're made locally and they have a special heating machine hidden behind the bar. It was something that definitely hit the spot. You can also donate & sign shells that are hung up on the wall to help restock Oyster Bay.
An ok brewery in the area. Beer selection was decent. Space was pretty big with games to play and enough space to find seating. Service was not great. Also, the QR code for the food does not mention that the food place is closed on Mondays. Put in an order and had no idea it was closed until I went to ask and the guy said oh yeah, it’s closed on Monday, we probably won’t get you that back. I think they should at least have some kind of signage when you open the QR code or around the seating area to warn you that it’s closed Mondays. Had to dispute it on my credit card. Plenty of parking in the back.
Love Oyster Bay Brewery always stop in for a beer or 2 or 3 lol. My favorite is the Oktoberfest there is a nice outside area in the front very relaxing Monday -Thursday 1pm to 6pm half price great on Tuesday's during the car meet the band sets up right across the street bartenders are friendly and helpful with recommendations. If you visit Oyster Bay and drink beer and don't visit Oyster Bay Brewery your missing out.
Arrived at 5pm on Memorial Day and immediately was told “We’re closing at 6!” Hello to you, too! Then the same nasty bartenderess charges me $24 for 2 beers (Summer and Honey). I gasped. Later the man near us walked out and said “thanks for buying me my Honey Wine”. We were like “Huh????” He said the bartenderess said “oh the two girls near you paid for yours” when he tried to pay!
It used to be a lot better. The quality of the beer we had was just ok but it wasn't very cold. Maybe some people wouldn't mind that but I prefer cold beer. They put in a pool table which adds a fun element. We went on a weeknight so there weren't many people there. Would give it another chance on a weekend.
Honestly, the worst experience I have had in Long Island. The person behind the bar started off by singling out who in the group needs to take out their license to be carded. Quite offensive, my friend was singled out as the only one that did not need to be carded out of the group. We are all within the same age group. Then, we got the beers. I did a Groupon for a flight and the beers were all not good. This was disappointing in itself to try to swallow this beer. The stout, the porter, the “Berliner”, the summer peach, the honey ale. Did not taste good at all! Then came the pizza. We got two pizzas, a pepperoni and Buffalo chicken. The pepperoni was tolerable to eat but honestly a frozen Celeste pizza would’ve been better. Definitely not New York pizza or anything remotely close. The picture attached is of the Buffalo chicken pizza. Charred so bad. I guess the bartender got distracted by the only two other people in the entire business and forgot about the pizza. Instead of offering to make another one, the bartender cut it, struggling to get thru how burnt the pizza was, and handed it to my friend. All together, one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve ever had at a brewery. Needless to say, even if you have a Groupon or discount, it’s not worth it!!! Please steer clear of this disappointment! 🥺😭
Visited during a random early Friday but I really liked the overall vibe. Everyone was super friendly and I left with a bottle of their "Downstairs Funk" barrel aged sour. Seems like a great place to hang out with some friends.

this was so cool and so much fun. its truly amazing when you realize you are standing on a boat that was built at the same time of the shootout at the OK Corall. the staff were knowledgeable and friendly. the weather was great. we all helped raise the sails. We are going to bring friends to do it again. We really really loved it!
Canceled on my family an hour before launch. First excuse: not enough people on the boat. Fine, I offered to pay the difference. Suddenly the problem became no crew. I drove over and watched her make calls for the very first time—an hour before launch. Total lie. Total incompetence. Lazy workers. Lazy director (spoke to him on the phone. What a gem! ) A stunning day destroyed by people with zero pride in their jobs and zero respect for customers. I simply cannot wait to hear the excuse/response you come up with Giving one star out of kindness and google force
We booked a special birthday sail on the Christeen for 20 people. Everyone had an amazing time! Our captain and crew were so fun and knowledgeable-sharing fascinating information as we sailed around beautiful Oyster Bay. The front desk staff is also very welcoming and helpful! We plan to book another sail next summer in the evening. Highly recommend!
I am absolutely disgusted with the service. We booked a boat experience well in advance, only to have it canceled just one hour before we were scheduled to go out. This was not only incredibly unprofessional but also completely ruined what was supposed to be a special birthday celebration. The way the cancellation was handled was careless and showed zero regard for their customers. No effort was made to provide an alternative solution, no true apology was offered, and the entire experience left me feeling disrespected and disappointed. Because of this, I will not be giving them my business ever again, nor will I recommend this company to anyone. They turned what should have been a joyful and memorable day into a complete letdown.
This was our first time kayaking and paddle boarding here and we had a blast! It’s easy to book online and I highly recommend you sign your waiver ahead of time. It really speeds up the process for when your arrive. Each single kayak has a dry pouch which can keep your phone safe if you want to get photos. We went out around 2p (it’s August) and it was pretty hot. A sunset ride would be heaven here. The staff are nice, the rules are simple and we never felt rushed.
Had such a positive, learning and instructive experience with Stephen Rudmann as part of of my checkout process on their Sonar sailboats, on the tail end of my J/22 checkout back in CA less than a month ago. Made my Sonar rental and sailing outing with my family a couple of days later such a smooth and pleasurable time. Look forward to coming back here to sail their Sonars again in the future!
It is unprofessional and unfair to cancel a trip on a customer literally an hour before their session. Customer service is not a strong suit. Ensure your reservation is still active ahead of time because you may find out last minute when your group is literally in the way and your Dad's 70th birthday is ruined!
The captain and crew were the absolute best! Knowledgeable, helpful and kind. The sail itself was amazing, starting with some education about the boat and followed by a brilliant sunset. We will be back next year!

The Raynham Hall Museum is a hidden gem in Oyster Bay, with fabulous staff, a unique ambiance, and a profound story. Raynham Hall blends colonial and Victorian styles, and is a really wonderful historic home filled with many treasures and things to look at. I was particularly impressed as we got farther into the Victorian parts of the home. The clashing wallpaper and carpets, the Victorian style dining room, the odd angles and curves of walls - this house is hiding a lot more than what meets the eye. Besides the impressive aesthetics of the home, it also serves as an important touchpoint of American history especially when it comes to key points such as the American Revolution and the lives of slaves who did live on the property. I highly recommend visiting the museum store, which has more information about slavery on the property and during that time as you go further back into their main exhibit. Overall, I am very glad that I stopped by Raynham Hall. I learned a lot about Townsend's history and Oyster Bay. It's a powerful reminder of the many lives that lived on the property. Sidenotes: There is a small gift shop in the museum store with some themed trinkets and souvenirs. There is also a bathroom in the museum store. You can download their app to see the VR portion of the exhibit which features talking portraits located in the museum store.
When I got there, I paid for a ticket and they didn’t have loaner devices left so I had to do the interactive tour on my way phone with no headphones (felt disruptive to others). The AR experience was cool. Not enough info on the spy ring.
This review is for the Raynham Hall Museum sunset sail on Oyster Bay. First, let me say this was such a great experience. The Christeen which is a 38 foot sloop was a spectacular ship. The crew was outstanding. Captain Penny was fantastic at the helm. In addition to the lovely refreshments and snacks, the historical docent on the trip was incredibly informative. It was a beautiful evening spent with lovely people. Our group thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We would definitely do it again and I would highly recommend this experience to others looking for a memorable evening.
Such a great experience!! Both our tour guides we had were very informative and knowledgeable. I recommend watching the ABC show Turn Washington Spies because we did before coming here and it truly helped bring this place to life. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend to all.
Great history museum in oyster Bay, focused on the history of the Townsend family and their participation in the revolutionary War
Raynham Hall is a gem! We went out to Long Island to visit Teddy Roosevelt's house at Sagamore Hill and I was looking for something else to do nearby. We didn't expect to love Raynham Hall so much. My husband said he like it better than Sagamore Hill. The AR experience really brought the place to life. Its an excellent (self) guided tour. I loved having the people from that time show us through their home and tell us about what was going on in the different rooms with all the intrigue of the war. Additionally there is a great display in the shop/welcome area showing the local area and a battle in Revolutionary War times. It was a real happy surprise for us to learn so much and have it done through such a fun format with the AR. The AR was easy. You can load it on your phone or use their device. We used their device and we were able to pair our own headphones to their device, which made it great. The AR was simple to use and it was a fun and engaging format to learn about the house, the people and the times.
Outstanding 1.5 hour tour! Highly recommended.
This was an unexpected find during our visit to Oyster Bay. It’s pretty much right on the main downtown area of Oyster Bay. We didn’t get a chance to go inside the homes but we had a fabulous conversation with their resident historian, Claire Bellerjeau who is the author of Espionage and Enslavement in the Revolution. She is absolutely very knowledgeable!! She was able to educate my 4th grader about the Culper Spy Ring which they are learning in the classroom. We did their virtual tour on their website. Definitely if you are in Oyster bay check this place out. Or check out their virtual events. They will eventually do in-person tours and Claire can run those too!! I highly recommend this place!

Enjoyable Sunday ride out to Oyster Bay, Scott was very informative. Always like see Billie’s collection.
We loved seeing Billy Joel's motorcycles and talking with the gentleman watching the shop.
Is it a Motorcycle Museum? Is it Billy Joel's private garage that is also open to the public on the weekends? It is both of these and more. It is free to stop in and look around, there are souvenirs available for purchase (t-shirts and pins). A beautiful collection of bikes from various manufacturers and historical periods. If you enjoy motorcycles, definitely worth a stop.
Beautiful collection of bikes and well worth a walk around if you're in the area. I hadn't read up much on the place before taking a stroll through and was made to feel very welcome. There's no entrance fee and not much in the way of souvenirs (a few baseball caps and t-shirts). I saw one guy cleaning a bike and thought "he looks like a dead ringer for Billy Joel". Turns out it's Billy Joel's private collection and he lets people walk around and admire them. He also uses all of them so, although visitors can't touch them, they're definitely not museum show-ponies. This is an awesome spot for anyone with even a passing interest in bikes.
Braved the NYC traffic only to arrive to the find the place being closed because all the bikes are apparently in FL. Nothing noted on the website. What an absolute disappointment to ride all this way only to find the business closed during normal operating hours on weekend and no notice on the website.
Billy Joel’s vintage motor bikes that he collected and customized through the years, recreating them into an aesthetic classic. Great for anyone who wants to see what motorcycles used to look like. There is no telephone number to call but you can fill in a form on the website and they will contact you. This is working fixing and building motor bike shop to And they will fulfill any need you have The bikes are all very beautiful , and spaced and positioned for viewing nicely though I would not recommend small children unless under very closely watched adult supervision I believe it is wheelchair accessible. There is a booth in the back where business can be discussed and decided on. I do not know if the floor model motor bike collection is for sale but they represent as an example of what your modernization 20th cycle could look like. 20th Century Cycles is yet another wonderful and positive example of a place that downtown Oyster Bay is being known for.
Billy’s collection is awesome ….and Alex’s knowledge of motorcycles is 2nd to none that I’ve ever met ….amazing the stuff he does !
Great staff, amazing collection. Love the modifications on newer bikes to look old.

Some of the trails are well maintained, but the trails' have a lot of fork roads; you need a map. You may get the map behind the house. After you finish, you can drive the car to the Chelsea Mason to walk around, or you can use the trails to walk to the Mason.
Beautiful preserve with variety of landscapes from forests to meadows to old estates. My preference to park is at Bill Paterson nature center that provides access to trails, restrooms and printed maps. Good way to navigate preserve is AllTrails app that has major trails captured. Otherwise, it might be confusing since only few major trails have trail markings. Chelsey mansion is technically part of preserve and its grounds are open for public access, however no trails start from this location. Alternative parking for preserve is equestrian center entrance on Jericho Oyster Bay Rd. This entrance is also shortest distance to former Knollwood Estate remnants aka King Zog’s ruins.
Very nice preserve. Great trails, wildlife, nature, etc. I came here on a nice Monday afternoon in January. 🦋Went to the Mansion & Garden as well. Highly recommend this if your in the area. 🦋There's sufficient parking and a little cabin, you'll find bathrooms in there and an info area. But when I went... it was closed... it wasn't even 3 pm... The trails start where the cabin is.. there's many trails, so choose which path you want to go in. You'll know you're on the trail if you see posts such as 6a, 2b, etc. There's a little swampy area, a hilly, grassy area, and so on. 🦋there's a horse ranch as well. Overall, I definitely recommend it for a nice hike and an adventure in the woods.
Came here for a hike over the weekend. Place is nice for a not so steep elevated hike. There are tons of trails of different lengths and times. The worker at the preserve was very friendly, knowledgeable and gave us a map and showed us the start of the first trail. I would definitely come back here on a beautiful day
The preserve needs help . It’s slowly diminishing!! The gates are coming apart - the beautiful light sconces on the outside are taken down . Please maintain Muttontown Preserve .
Very beautiful old nature preserve in a nice area. It's well maintained and mowed in many areas along the trails. The ruins are limited and full of graffiti from what I've found. There are several different areas of the preserve and they have different traits. You can easily get lost here if you're not careful or experienced bring a drink with you.
One of the Best nature preserves on Long Island. The beautiful Chelsea Mansion is right next door. Stop in at Paterson Center that’s at the trail head kids will love it. Make sure kids are protected from ticks. If you have a bike there is a bike rack in the parking lot. There are actually three entrances to Muttontown Preserve, there is what is called the equestrian entrance on route 106 the other two are a bit difficult if your a first timer but as long as search for the Chelsea Mansion in East Norwich the Preserve is right next door or down the road. Be aware if you are not frequent hiker give yourself plenty of daylight to get out of this corn maze like trail system. Most of the time during the Summer big mud puddles and if your looking for the ruins a good way to learn their history is to ask an expert inside the Paterson Center at the trail head it is very interesting.
Nature is full of beautiful backdrops. The Preserve grounds are flawlessly maintained. It’s a beautiful walk in October when all the colors are changing. Sit and hang out under the big tree near the restrooms. It’s a pretty view looking up.

I had my first visit last weekend to Blue Water Spa. The staff extremely nice, helpful and made me feel very comfortable. They take their time with my treatment. I tried the Icoone and loved it. Tina did my procedure and the owner Rachel is very hands on and she has an amazing personality. She enjoys what she does. I will continue to go there and would get all treatments there. My sister and I will be their forever clients. Everyone should go there, the place is clean and the service is impeccable.
Had an amazing facial with Lexi at Blue Water Spa! She was super knowledgeable, kind, and made my skin glow. The spa itself is beautiful and so cozy—such a relaxing experience from start to finish. Highly recommend!
I purchased two Skin Revival facials for myself and my daughter. I have had many facials at Blue Water, and this was the fast time that I left disappointed. I found the facial skimpy. Usually the esthetician looks over the face before beginning. During the five minute LED treatment the esthetician did nothing….No massaging at all. Usually there is some massaging. I just felt it was nothing special at all, and I will not be returning.
The best massage I’ve ever had! Veronica did such an amazing job. I am 34 weeks pregnant and felt so comfortable, relaxed, and safe. I would highly recommend booking with Veronica and I’ll be back for sure!
I had my first visit to Blue Water Spa. Had a facial. I can honestly say this was truly the best facial I have had. Christy was my technician. She was wonderful!!! Give yourself a treat and book an appointment
Blue SPA is a wonderful place : welcoming, creatively decorated , shining clean , and calming. The estheticians are very skilled and friendly. They have vastly improved my skin and well being . The boutique , which I now rely on for many small hostess and birthday gifts , offers charming wares at affordable prices .
Had an amazing massage with Hai! This is my second time seeing her. She focused on my problem areas and it’s extremely knowledgable! I can’t wait for my next visit.
Wonderful experience! Every employee I interacted with was friendly and helpful. Veronica, my massage therapist, was fantastic—professional, personable, and gave an excellent massage.

The Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary is such a peaceful place to go for a walk and get some fresh air. I visited after work when the sanctuary was (practically) empty. The trails aren't too strenuous, they actually merge into each other during some points and all end back at the main entrance. There are a lot of recreational areas with benches and seating throughout the space. My favorite place was the frog pond that is located towards the beginning of the trail. It was fun looking for frogs, and hearing them squeak as they dove into the water. The little frog statue is surely not something you want to miss! Overall, I'll definitely be coming back to this sanctuary when I need some peace of mind. It's a beautiful space for contemplation and admiring nature.
Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary and Audubon Center is a 12 acre woods next to the Youngs Memorial cemetery where he is buried. There are three parallel trails to take through the woods. One higher one leading by the cemetery, one main middle one, and one lower one. You could take one out and another back for a loop trail. If so, I’d recommend going up the higher trail and coming back on the middle trail. It is quiet and offers seeing various birds along your walk.
Beautiful nature center and a few trails in the woods. Lovely place and lovely people! They also offer programming through the year and do great conservation work. Not to be confused with the cemetery next door/ Sagamore Hill.
A beautiful fall afternoon with colorful trees and birds. This is a fairly small place, but it's very quiet and a lovely place for a leisurely walk. The fountain is also attractive and there are nearby benches to watch the birds or just read. My wife and I had a great time.
I tried visiting the park today as part of the LI history hunt. However, Julie denied us parking and access due to the summer camp in progress of wrapping up for the day. I'm sure this is a wonderful place, but it's being ran by very inconsiderate people.
A great Audubon sanctuary for birds,Learn, see and understand about nature, A wonderful experience for children. Take a peaceful walk and see birds and unplug. There is building that holds a lot of nature related stuff.nearby. . It is also the first National Audubon bird sanctuary. Plenty of parking in the nearby parking lot. The location is not easily seen from the main road, parking is located at the cemetery where the gravesite of Theodore Roosevelt is. If visit today the whole Sanctuary has been reconstructed and is even more fun and more beautiful. I believe it’s closed now for compleat and brand new design renovation possibly open Spring or Summer 2019
So peaceful just hearing the birds chirping. We actually saw a frog in the man-made pond.
it's a great place to go to, especially great to take calm walks and get a breath of fresh air.

The service and sales team was extremely professional and easy going. I love the events and shows they host and hope to do more business with them in the future.

This is the place to go if you’re in the market for a Porsche, as I am. Brad was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating, explaining the differences of models and pricing. This is also a collectors museum for all exotic Porsche’s as well as other unique cars. We’ll worth the visit. Enjoy 😊

This cemetery is in a beautiful location with well maintained grounds, and provides for excellent historical content related to the death and burial of Theodore Roosevelt, our 26th President. The actual gravesite is nicely manicured, and the site provides for an excellent tribute to this great American.
Cool cemetery! Nice and quiet to walk around. Free and free parking! Of course you need to visit Teddy!
Don’t forget to visit this place after the tour in Theodore Roosevelt home and museum. It is located approximately one and a half miles south of Sagamore Hill National Historic Site. This is the place where 26th President of America and his loving wife sleeping peacefully. You have to climb 26 steps to get to the grave. 26 steps represent the 26th president of the United States. No guided tours or fees to enter. You can park the vehicle in the car park.
Gorgeous cemetery and beautiful gravesite of Theodore Roosevelt, our 26th President. Joseph Townsend is also buried here. History nerd or not, you’ve got to pay this cemetery a visit.
This is where Teddy Roosevelt is buried. There is a fairly steep walking path to get to his grave.
Very calm and serene place overlooking the bay. No one was around when we went there. The final resting place of one of the greatest presidents of the United States.
In your tours don’t forget to spend some time at the grave site of Theodore Roosevelt our 26th and youngest president. It is a very peaceful location.
It's just a wonderful place to visit to learn about a president and his life it's a lot of fun very beautiful it is interesting to see how he lived and his family. Been there a few times and love it every time it is so peaceful and beautiful it's a must see

The gentlemen that run this museum are phenomenal. I love history, my daughter not so much when I was recovering from my surgeries we came here for a nice detour from life and to step back in time. They engaged her with facts about Oyster Bay, the train station the Museum and Teddy Roosevelt that by the time we were ready to walk to the train yard she was with Ziggy learning about how trains run asking questions about pistons and gears etc. When we walked to the train yard it really peaked her interest to see the different kinds of trains over time and being able to go in and explore them and see how they evolved made it even more spectacular. She went from “do we have to go” to “when can we go back” she liked it all so much especially the train set at the end that when we got home from there, I had to go dig out my dads LGB trains from storage so her Barbies could ride the trains too. We went here last summer and I’d been meaning to write a review for a while but it kept slipping my mind but today I remembered and had to spread kudos and love thanks for a great learning experience and giving my daughter the spark to learn a little more about how history rich Long Island is and how privileged we are to have people that preserve it like the gentlemen that work here for future generations to enjoy.
Cute little museum that is perfect for the rail enthusiast. The train simulators are a great experience.
Attended RAILFEST 2025 today. This place is so overrated. First of all they have two locations that are not even near each other. In order to go to the yard they tell you go through the park and if you don’t want to do that you can walk 7-8 mins in a near by neighborhood and make your way to the entrance on other side (which I’m not sure if it’s even a entrance cause no one checked my $10 ticket and I practically paid for no reason tbh) anyways the place is super disorganized. They have so much garbage or junk everywhere. During RAILFEST in order to separate the event from the junk they used orange cones. Event was super lame. Like 5-6 train displays that they or former owners cut in half. The train turntable was a huge let down. The thing goes around in a circle 3-4 times and they take you off. Nothing really fun. Also the vendors were VERY OVERPRICED. They wanted 25$ for a piece of junk train toy that was missing a wheel. The food was overpriced as well. 3 pieces of tenders for $9. Sides are separate fries were like $6. Was looking forward to this event for months. Huge huge huge letdown.
This place will be a great addition to Oyster Bay in the future. Needs A lot more funds to complete but they will get there. If you want to see the work and the plans go to their website or stop and see the restoration process in person. Back in the day President Theodore Roosevelt got the train here., when he was at Sagamore Hill the Summer White House, when completed the Station will Highlight President Theodore Roosevelt’s connection to it. I am sure it will draw Train enthusiasts from all around when completed. I was here on 8/3/2021 and found out the museum has moved here it is open on the weekends The place is a beautiful historic landmark and the building looks fully restored and ready for tourists and townspeople.
Small museum that packs a powerful punch. Matt was very knowledgeable and showed me all the work that him, the other employees, and volunteers were doing. Amazing site with lots of future potential.
What a fun afternoon learning about local history! All the staff/volunteers were enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and personable!
Waited 1.5 hours for a 40 foot train ride. Maybe let more than 6 ppl on at a time.
This is the best place to visit. Nice people, cool trains and much more. I now volunteer because I loved it here.

Wonderful selection of paint and ceramics. It should be known that you don't get your art back for about 7 days as they put it in a kiln which turns it into a glass masterpiece! Four of us had a great time and we spent about $30 a person for medium sized pieces. I believe it was well worth it as we were there almost three hours. Super friendly and helpful staff, nice and patient with the kids! Seems it would be a great place for a kid's party!
You pick your pottery and get to paint it! The staff was very helpful and it was a fun activity.
unexpectedly was a lot of fun!
