Best place around to dig for crystals. Went for the first time with some family, definitely an interesting experience. After you pay they load everyone into trucks, they make sure it's safe and secure. They explained all the rules thoroughly. Lance was just terrific, he was helpful, kind and had the best attitude I have seen in years, truly a great guy! The big pits were fun to get into, yes you get dirty but it's worth it. Found some big ones and lots of small ones, but finding crystals at all is just cool! They have drinks and light snacks in the giftshop. Whole place is pretty neat! Great for all ages
I may have found a new hobby 🤣 My 8 year old wanted to "play Minecraft irl" so I took him on the phantom dig and he had more fun here than magic springs and all the other theme parks or fairs I've taken him to. Lance was our guide and he was absolutely amazing. Fun personality and endless patience with my 8 year old that never stops talking. We are still digging through the bucket of treasures we brought home and we can't wait to visit again!!!!
This is a great place to go and get your hands dirty digging for crystals! We did the full day experience and it was amazing! We got to go out to the crystal forest first, then the sluice and then the diamond and gem room. We walked away with so many gems and crystals! Staff were amazing and kind, if you are looking for a fun place to go with the family or on your own this is the place! I even got the amber I was looking for. 🥰
We love Wegner's so much we drove 9 hrs, went mining the next day, and drove 9 hrs home!! We went on the forest dig and stayed the whole day. There are piles of churns up dirt and then there are walls of rock with vains running through them. You can easy search or bring your gear and chip away at the wall. There is something for everyone. The last picture is one cleaned versus one in the rough.
Wegner Crystal Mnes is an incredible spot for digging up some truly stunning crystals! But one of the best-kept secrets is their rock shop. It's a must see! Take a look at a pic of the massive crystal from their mine. And that's just the beginning. They've got an impressive selection of rocks and minerals from all over the world, with very reasonable prices, too. Plus, if you're a wholesaler, you're in luck-discounts! We've made the drive four times and it's been worth it every time. It's a rockhounder's dream and a great outing for the family. If you're planning to dig, be ready to get dirty! If you forget your tools or don't want to buy them, you can rent them on-site. Before you leave Wegner's, make sure to stop by the shop!
I have been wanting to do this for a few years. We came through on the way home on Tuesday but, it was storming so the drive home was sad. Spur of the moment, my daughter and I decided to drive back the 7 hours and go. I’m so glad we did. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and met a friend along the way. The dirt is like Oklahoma red dirt, it will stain so come prepared. Our driver was Jay, and that dude was awesome. The people in the town of Mt. Ida were very rude and belittling, except for Wayseekers Coffee and Royal Oak Inn. My son passed away not too long ago and I want Jay to know he healed a bit of my heart. The dude truly is one of a kind. We will back. Oh yeah, we found soooo much but Jay will always stand out in my mind when I think about this trip. Thank you for having us
Very fun experience, digging for my own crystals. The shop isn’t very clean or welcoming, but that’s understandable for a mine site. Prices for crystals in the shop is amazing. Don’t buy anything in Hot Springs, the gift shops are way over priced. I got a $25 crystal for $5 here. Worth the drive!
This was our first time at Wegner. We paid for the Super Saver package. In all honesty it was worth the money watching my 8 yo daughter go through the pouches. But, my wife, 22 yo son, and my self it was a little cheesy. Not worth the $. The staff is amazing. To go from where you check in to where you dig is about a 15 min ride in the back of a truck. Once you get there they’ll give you some advice and you’re off to dig. Wide open easily accessible. We found at least ( what would equate too ) 3 5 gallon buckets of crystals. Some were small and some were larger. None are museum grade but all very nice. Overall the experience was great. Highly recommend. To find nice crystals I recommend taking a bucket, some gloves, and small shovel. Very kid friendly environment

Beautiful scenic drive to this little hideaway. Don’t be deterred by the long gravel one lane roads. We brought a bucket wagon shovel hammer and pickaxe. Would also recommend a brush and a spray bottle of water. Hand sanitizer too (you’ll understand after visiting the outhouse). Recommend the $100 day because you will have more beauties than you know what to do with. The sweet gentleman running the place was so helpful and gave us tips to clean them up. If you enjoy crater of diamonds this is 10x’s better and you’ll come away with so much more. Dogs welcomed. Updated hours 9-3:30.
Update information they now close at 3:30! Which was fine. We had almost 4 hrs of digging for 50$ . It was 25$ per person and when time was up, we were literally dragging our wagon down the hill it was so full. It was really fun to watch them rip up raw material and when it was safe I was able to search through fresh virgin tailings. The staff was super kind and friendly. I
Very nice experience at this mine. We chose the 25 dollar dig. Jacob showed us area we could dig in, explained how to identify the points in the ground. Robin showed us several places and even found some nice clusters for us. Really enjoyed Robin and Jacob. Jacob explained that if you see a big rock, turn it over and, sure enough, a lot of the time there were clusters there. Found several clear crystals, several brown cluster quartz and generally had a great time. We went to a different mine the day before and the experience was so much worse, no one to meet you, no one to explain where/how to look. I highly recommend the trip to Twin Creek. It's a hidden gem, only advertised on Facebook, but definitely worth the look.
We had an amazing experience at Twin Creek Crystal Mine! There were four of us, and we did the $300 pocket dig — totally worth it. Robin was super friendly and helpful, and her attention to the little details made the day special. She even gave us a tablecloth for our picnic lunch and helped take photos so we could remember the day. The setting is beautiful, and while the digging is definitely hard work, it’s so rewarding when you start finding crystals. This was my second trip — I came in 2023 with my girlfriends, and this time I returned to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary with our kids. We had such a great time and can’t wait to come back again!
What a great adventure!! We found so many clear crystals here! Robin was amazing. She showed us around, gave us a gift of awesome clusters, checked on us several times during our visit and made sure we were staying hydrated. This place is a little hard to find, but so worth it. Great place to visit.
My family and I have been to at least three different mines, and this one is by far the best. I’ve been here several times. Every time we come here, we leave with loads of crystals and crystal/quartz rocks. Robin and Jacob were there this past week when we visited again. They were very helpful and kind and made our experience even better. They went out of their way to ensure that we found great points. Love going to this mine will always go to this one.
This place was awesome! It is very much worth driving a little further to get there. Robin was wonderful, very helpful. We were blessed to have Bobby there as well, he really showed us the ropes and found us a few incredible pieces. if you're gonna go crystal mining, this is the place to go. Highly recommend.
We’ve been here 4 years in a row during spring break. We’ve never been disappointed. Our grandson looks forward to this trip every year. We just do the $25 dig in the tailings. We’re not looking for the big, pretty stuff. We’re just encouraging our grandson’s love of the outdoors and rocks and crystals. The owner was very nice!

No wonder this place is voted #1 Spa in Arkansas! I just had a massage and facial and I feel absolutely gorgeous and more relaxed than I’ve been in months. I regularly receive treatments in France where I live and Turtle Cove in terms of service, staff, design and ambiance is superior to most establishments by a large margin. The Graceful Aging signature facial is my favorite and the sports massage is beyond amazing. Thank you Maryann and team Turtle Cove 🐢
This was my third visit to this little gem of an exquisite, intimate spa tucked onto the shore of Lake Ouachita. My experience from start to finish was wonderful. The small, beautifully appointed space ( so festive with it’s fall decor) is immaculately clean and inviting, quiet and serene. The delicious spa salad lunch between treatments was served in a beautiful room overlooking the lake with a chilled bottle of champagne to add to my much needed solo get away. Thank you to Leigh Ann, Jess, Tabatha and Kara for your love, light, gracious hospitality and healing arts! I’ll be back! Again!
What can I possibly say about TCS. This is a wonderful oasis in Mt Harbor Resort. I get facials and massages regularly. Check them out. Jessica does a fabulous job.
Quick synopsis: This is not a "Resort Spa" experience. There are no luxurious chaise lounges, they are old wicker with new paint, and the cushions are very old. There is was no plate of food or fruit like the photos show. Me asking for an unscented products for my facial was difficult for them to accomodate, which is maybe why my 90 minute facial was 75 minutes. There is one changing room, and that has the shower in it. So I got changed into a robe, and my friend then went in to take a shower. I heard this shriek from the changing room. The shower head was spinning around and squirting water all over the changing room, including the floor and walls of the changing room. The corker was when I was leaving she said "I'm sorry you were disappointed with the length of the facial." If it hadn't been such a great facial, and it really was, this spa would have been given a 1 or 2. Go in with eyes wide open.
First couples massage and it was great. Jill and Ralph were excellent. Highly recommend.
Booked a couples massage! It has been years since we have had massages and they were great! Ralph did a fantastic job and made me feel very comfortable being that I am a plus size lady! Will definitely be back!
Very peaceful and serene. Everyone was so helpful, welcoming and friendly. My daughters and I were able to have a much needed relaxing and together time. I appreciate the services provided. They even brought us hot tea! And they had a quiet private room for us to use while waiting, very enjoyable experience! Didn't feel rushed like some places do. There are adorable turtle features, so everywhere you look you will find a turtle that makes you smile!
1 hour deep tissue massage and a 1 hour facial that included head, shoulder and foot massage. Both were amazing. Best massage ever. Atmosphere was so peaceful and therapists very professional and highly skilled. I will go there again and again.

The doorway to the Avant mine, Fisher Mountain in Mt. Ida Arkansas. Beautiful mineral specimens, both for show and sale. Friendly and knowledgeable staff and mine operators. Had the time of my life digging crystals at the mine, Thank You! I'll be back!
Judy's shop has some gorgeous pieces, and the people are just wonderful. Their crystal-hunting area is my favorite in Arkansas and is well worth the price. There are small points lying on the ground everywhere, and we've found a few larger points even though we're not really diggers. It's a super fun time for adults and kids alike and you'll find more than enough quartz to satisfy you.
WOW!! Crystals laying everywhere on the ground at her mine. Her store has a ton of nice crystals. The best part was meeting Judy she is the sweetest, nicest lady in Mt. Ida. You just want to give her a hug because she is so genuine and kind. DEFINITELY visit her place if you can, the store is great the mine is great and Judy is too! Thanks for a great time!!
One of the best rock shops in mount ida. Judy is one of the nicest and most down to earth people I've ever met. Her mine on Fisher mountain is awesome and it's so fun to go out on the mountain top and dig for the quartz beauties there. Definitely some of the clearest quartz in the area can be found there with a little patience and know how!
The selection was beautiful but so expensive. Way over priced, bought two stones that both fit in the palm of my hand and still paid $9. The air was off or not working not sure but it was excruciatingly hot inside of her shop, where all the good stuff was. Definitely not worth sweating over.
Gorgeous selection of rocks and minerals, a lot of really pretty knick-knacks, and some really cool and pretty rare items. Good prices and willing to work out deals on most items. Also have digging tools for sale and a digging area for this who don't mind getti g dirty. Really good family fun if your into this kind of thing.
We just love coming here, the time spent on Fisher mountain (aka Judys Mountain) is so serene and just a wonderful place to spend the day digging and walking around. Take a lunch and plan on staying ALL DAY!! Every time we visit from Colorado we make sure we stop in and say hi to Judy and devote at least three days of our trip hanging out on Judys' mountain. It's always kind of sad when we leave, but this time we got a gorgeous sunset and a big hug from Judy!! Can't wait till the next time we get to go back!! We love you Judy!!
Extremely knowledgeable proprietor will help you find just about any crystal, mineral or gemstone you like. You can even go up to the mine and find your own crystals. Rough cabbing materials outside, along with rose quartz chunks, local wavelite and crystal clusters. Refined pieces inside include jewelry, carvings, presentation and museum specimens.

Exploring the gallery was a highlight of our week in Mt. Ida! My girls and I learned so much, drank in the amazing variety of pieces, and they even let me bring a piece home!
So much local talent! The gallery has a variety of beautiful items on display and for sale (paintings, pottery, greeting cards, jewelry, etc.). They also offer classes and participate in community outreach. I highly recommend visiting. Definitely a gem!
I picked up a custom made sugar bowl that matches some mixing bowls and mugs I purchased earlier. The Gallery is a very nice place to shop for that perfect gift or just enjoy all the artistic works on display. I love all the pieces I have purchased there.
Great space to see local artist's pieces. Open later on Friday evenings. Can meet their artists at periodic socials. And new artists or works rotated into the gallery several times a year. Prices are extremely reasonable for most things. They have adult and kids classes throughout the summer. The Gallery is a supportive group of creatives!
Small town gallery with big town talent, frequent classes & workshops for all ages & skill levels. Friendly, all-volunteer staff. Many gift items as well as fine art for all budgets. Great resource for surprising variety of creative & inspired choices may not have considered or expected to find in small art gallery & all by local artists.
This is an amazing place to purchase LOCAL artists' creations! If you are visiting, be sure to stop in and take home an awesome piece of true art... and a piece of the artist's heart and soul.
A really lovely gallery with local art. Great prices for beautiful one of a kind works and awesome people! They also offer lots of different art classes which is cool and I plan to one day attend.
Great selection from local artists. Feels good to purchase things I love, and know that by doing so I'm helping skilled craftspeople pursue what they love.

We stopped here during our Spring break 2024. As we drove up they were locking up for the day. They didn't turn us away. We were welcomed to come in and shop. Their shop has a rather large collection of crystals and merchandise. The owner was very helpful with any questions we had and guided us to our needs. She was also very knowledgeable and freely shared with us. Very friendly and personable. Left there feeling I had just visited a good friend. If we visit Mt Ida again, we will definitely stop here again.
Lisa and pretty girl are wonderful 😍 so many selections of crystals and minerals and fossils! Lisa is so knowledgeable! She’s willing to teach you the history of each and so friendly. We Loved her!
Found this crystal at Crystal Vista and came here to get a pendant made because we saw a review . The owner was really nice and made this for under $20 bucks . Loved it , not sure what kind of Crystal it is but my daughter loved it . The shop is very nice and the owners are super sweet. They have lot of home made jewelry and lots of good priced crystals .
I really enjoyed my experience at Real Earth Creations. I got a rough citrine crystal, cold-pressed lavender handsoap (I've already started using it and my hands feel so soft), and I believe it was a rosemary stick sage. The owner was very kind and welcoming. I will be back very soon.
We stopped at this place when we were visiting from out of town. This store is amazing! I would drive another 6 hours just to come see it again. There's a wide selection and great prices! My favorite store that I've been to in Arkansas. The lady that was working there was so friendly and very helpful! ❤️
Absolutely loved this shop. Should have bought more! Especially liked the cat
Loved it. Amazing Aura as soon as you walk in. Beautiful items every where. Enjoyed my time there. Will be returning soon.
An outstanding Crystal, Gem, Jewelry, Metaphysical store!!!!! The atmosphere, energy & "vibe" was tranquil, calming and "deep". Great scent of incense & music aided the ambiance.... A wonderful selection of items - could easily spend hours browsing thru all that's offered here. The highlight is the Wire Wrapped jewelry - hand made by Lisa, the owner. The high end pieces she makes are amazing - true art!!!! Amongst the best I've ever seen!!!!! Lisa was also very friendly and engaging, and spent a lot of time talking with us! Highly recommended!!!!!

Yes! Yes Yes Yes! Do this! Such a blessing to sit under the sun and dig in the dirt for hours, gifted with treasures for our patience and gentle sweeping away of the clay. Thank you for the beautiful trails, and the abundance of parking! ***There are no restrooms here***
This place is a great sign and a real joy. After a vigorous but beautiful uphill hike for about a mile or so you have access to the Crystal Vista collection area. This was my second trip to Crystal Vista and I’ll be back many times over if time allows. As far as I know, it’s the only public place where you can collect crystals for free. I found a variety of crystals in both size and quality and consistency, milky water clear and some smoky crystals too. Be aware there are no facilities. So bring water, snacks, toilet paper, tools everything that you want to have you need to bring and then be prepared to pack it all out when you leave. I had a great experience at Crystal Vista.
About a 1 mile hike to the top with a loose gravel trail, so bring good hiking shoes. There is plenty of quartz around, crystal is a little more difficult to find but it is free. Beautiful views at the top.
Crystal vista has always been a great spot to go storms the day digging for crystals. It is amazing to connect with nature and find beautiful treasures. We took our granddaughter and she absolutely loved it.
I loved it, but I didn't go up the trail, we didn't know where it was. Found some cool crystals in other places though and there's a nice picnic area there.
Beautiful hike! The tree colors in November are incredible. Up hill and loose rocks so wear comfortable shoes.
Loved it. But you should be prepared for a STEEP HIKE, and it's is at a high altitude, in case you're not used to that. It's not for the weak. But what you find is worth it..
After a scenic and vigorous hike up mount Ida, you reach the top of the mountain that opens to a wide clearing of clay and quartz. This is a free dig site. If you are fit enough and have a few tools to use, you can dig up your own quartz. It's a fun treasure hunt!

We stumbled upon this museum while out exploring the Ouachita National Forest. It was a nice surprise! What awesome history and some of the coolest things I’ve ever seen in a museum. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly as well. Highly recommended!
This is an amazing museum with great volunteers. The displays are awesome and really allow you to take a walk back into the past and see history come alive.
This is nice museum packed with info about the local area. Lots of nice displays and nice people.
Went to the sorghum festival. Really enjoyed the day. Thanx for the info on growing sorghum. Hoping to have a small plot next year. 😃
Wonderful little museum, volunteer lady was very friendly! No admission fee, but donations appreciated
Stopped in about their sorghum days but did not make it the next day. Will next year tho will rate further when I get to see all of what the muse offers
If ever passing through, stop in and step back in time in this museum featuring Montgomery county history! They have a Sorghum fest every year in October and it's a sweet old fashion event!
Cool place to check out. See the history of Montgomery County. See the tools our grandparents used.

If you're looking for this place the sign says crystal house not Atlantis Gardens Great place to pick up a souvenir even if you're not into rocks just a great place to stop and talk with the owner, he's a nice guy I found out that he has over a dozen dogs. Very gregarious, my sister-in-law had a cat in the sling since (it just had surgery) he was even bad petting it and making you feel better.
Really cool selection of stones and other ware as well as impressive selection of pure quartz samples in the back.
A Wonderful place! I get many gifts for special occasions from here. Even for baby showers! The owner is most knowledgeable about crystals and other gem stones. He is more than willingly to share his knowledge of the items in his store; and, his knowledge about the area. Make a stop here a MUST! for your visit to Mt. Ida.
Loved this place. Bought a gastropod to add to my fossil collection. It was a sale item so I got a great deal. My daughter was buying a ring which the owner just gave to her. It made her day! lotsa quartz, jewelry. Check this place out!
This little gem was one of the best crystal places I’ve ever been too. Prices are unbelievable compared to my hometown OKC, 49 cents for tumbled stones and beautiful geodes for way cheaper than normal. My boyfriend and I got away with 9 tumbled stones and a citrine geode, for only 5$. Thanks to the man working there today for giving us a great deal!!!!♥️ Will definitely be back!!
Great experience we must have stayed in that shop for an hour. After about ten minutes of looking around we started to chat with the clerk and he was extremely nice! he not only offered us advice on which mines to visit but helped us find a hotel and gave us a map. It's hard to find people who are still nice and genuine but this man was. We must've talked to him for a good 45 minutes. Aside from how nice the owner is, The selection is great he had everything from Bornite (AKA Peacock ore) to Quartz crystals that had been struck by lightning. I would definitely recommend this shop to all crystal enthusiast and even if you aren't there are still some amazing pieces to see!
Smile's loved the service she receives from the owner, Larry.:-) she gives him 4 paws up
We bought several things in there, the man in there was very friendly and knowledgeable. his quartz was actually reasonably priced and he had some outside selling by the pound! This place has been around for awhile and he has a ton of stuff that he doesn't even have out.

Great selection of rocks and crystals! Friendly customer service. Highly recommend!
I visited here a few years ago and this shop has it all. The staff was super friendly and we were super impressed. Great prices and the variety was insane. Fast forward to today. I know this is random but we recenty suffered the loss of one of our beloved dogs this past Sunday. I have been thinking about what I want to do around her burial site. I remembered a trip to Arkansas and the beautiful shops there that had unique gems and stones for ground coverings. But I could not remember the specific shop. So I called Fiddlers today and explained what I was looking for and that I cld not remember the shop. I also was not specific on what I wanted but remembered the colors that were available at the time I visited. Who I spoke to, spoke to me with kindness and also offered that a specific other shop may carry what I was looking for. That was above and beyond. Thank you, whoever I spoke to today.
Very nice place an people..very good prices
Helpful old man. Very knowledgeable and ton of different rocks.
Nice place..... An almost overwhelmingly large selection of crystals, stones and related products with some truly unique, hard to find items. The prices are pretty reasonable. The owners were present, friendly, engaging, very conversational (just hanging out talking with them was fun) with great stories to tell and incredibly knowledgeable as well!!!!! Definitely recommend!!!!!
Large selection. Very reasonably priced and very friendly staff. We did our own quartz dig at twin peaks mining then stopped in to look at the variety she had. Walked out with 2 more AMAZING Pieces. Highly recommend a walk through.

Lisa was an awesome guide! Extremely friendly and helpful! We had a great time kayaking and checking out all the little islands, along with some history on the lake. I also found an Eagle wing, which was pretty cool! Definitely recommend this trip for anyone! If I would have never been in a kayak, and didn’t know if I would be comfortable getting in one. She is the first person I would go to! Thank you Lisa!
Lisa is an amazing guide, who knows what she’s talking about because she has time in the seat. She’s full of insights and truly assumes the role of guide. She was kind enough to call us beforehand and suggest a change of location because of changes in the lake’s level. We thoroughly enjoyed hanging out and talking and sharing stories of travels and adventures. I highly recommend employing her. Not only will we be back, but I will recommend her to all my friends.
We had an amazing time with Lisa! I found Ouachita Kayak tours on google and hoped it would be a good experience but her service and private tour exceeded all expectations. She was there with the kayaks ready for us as soon as we pulled up and was very attentive at helping us in and out of the kayaks since we were first timers. We kayaked and she took us to real cool places we would have never known of had we not been shown, which we really appreciated! She let us go at our own pace and leisurely let us fish and relax during. Overall, I would recommend Lisa to anyone I know going to Arkansa, definitely worth every penny!
I rarely give 5 stars. We had to reschedule do to weather and they were quick to foresee the impending weather, called to make arrangements for what ever we decided. We rescheduled to the next weekend. Had a blast. My wife had never been on a kayak and it's been a long time for me. The guide was very patient and thorough. Let us pick the pace and rest stops. We will be going back for another trip.
Awesome experience. Lisa was knowledgeable and friendly. It was like visiting a family member you don't get to see often but they're a really great host, if that makes sense. Highly recommend it. Wear shoes that you don't mind getting wet!!
