100/10 my favorite winery in the finger lakes! The tasting here is a good deal - $5! There is a wide selection of sweet wines available and the staff is extremely knowledgeable. Our party ended up buying a full case (12 bottles) of wine and joining the wine club during our visit because we enjoyed the experience so much.
Wonderful visit at the winery. We did wine tastings while we waited for an outdoor patio table (had our dog with us). Excellent wines and food. Service was very good as well. Beautiful views of Cayuga Lake from the property.
Fabulous food and scenery! We ordered a side salad and the scallops. Every bite was heavenly. The Lava Cake for dessert. Oh my gosh - off the charts!! Can I just lick the plate? We did the wine tasting before we had lunch; therefore we knew which wine we wanted for lunch. Thirsty Owl Wine Company is DEFINITELY worth a stop. Someone had suggested it to us. So glad they did. Totally delightful!
Officially the best winery experience we've had on Cayuga lake so far. Bob was a great wine guide for our tasting. The Malbec was a stunner! My husband and I ended up loving the winery so much we skipped the rest of our plans for the afternoon and ended up staying to enjoy an early dinner at the bistro while enjoying the view. Despite the busy weekend (lot was FULL) they were prepared with enough enough staff, all of whom were very polite, helpful and attentive. Highly recommended.
Perfect Sunday Lunch and Wine Tasting! We were a party of 4. We arrived around 2pm and the weather was beautiful, so we asked for a table in the terrace. While we waited (around 30min), we did the 5-wine tasting, which was outstanding!! Our sommelier was Michelle, and she was extremely nice, knowledgeable, charming, and Helpful. (More on this). From the whites, I chose the Dry Riesling (2023), the Appalachian Bottom Dweller Dry Riesling (2024), and the Gewürztraminer (2024). From the reds, I tried the Syrah and the Meritage (both 2023). They were all good, and my favorite was the Appalachian Bottom Dweller Dry Riesling. Our table was ready, so we went outside to the deck and had an amazing lunch. I had the turkey sandwich with fries, and it was perfect. I also tried the pasta, from my friend’s plate, which was really good (and the portions are huge!! Definitely big enough for 2 people)!! We had a bottle of Vidal Blanc. This wine is also amazing. (Gold Medal ‘25 Pacific Rim Int’l) Highly recommend!! After this amazing lunch, we were ready to go, but my rental car wouldn’t start. The battery was dead! I called the rental car (Budget) and they said they could send someone “in about 2 hours”. But Michelle, our sommelier, saved my day by talking to dozens of people until she found someone (the owner of Thirsty Owl) who had jumper cables and was kind enough to jump-start my rental car!! Many Thanks Michelle and to Jon Cupp, the owner, for a perfect Sunday afternoon at Thirsty Owl!! Many thanks to other guy in a pick-up truck who also helped with the car until it started!! In summary, If you want to have a great wine tasting experience, and a great lunch experience, please come to this amazing winery!!👍🙏 I highly recommend Thirsty Owl Wine Company. I look forward to come back soon!
Outstanding views. Nice wine and food options. We had the gluten-free Ruben and fries and it was great. Plenty of outdoor seating. Can’t beat the setting.
So overwhelmingly impressed with this winery! I have been to many wineries in many different areas, this is my favorite by a million, and the only winery whose club I am a member of. I live in Buffalo and make the drive frequently to visit, always have great tastings with Bob, though all of the staff is great! I have bought a few cases throughout my visits and the wine never disappoints. I just decided to order a case yesterday for family and friends for Thanksgiving gatherings and within less than 24 hours it's already out for delivery!! I am so impressed!!!! Also the views are gorgeous, I could and often do rave about this place nonstop! Well done!!!!!
My friends & I went to The Thirsty Owl Winery today, November 10, 2025. We were served by "Mac", who was fabulous! She was very informative & extremely personable. She was knowledgeable about the wines. I must say that I am not a wine drinker at all, but after explaining my alcohol & hard cider preferences to Mac, she chose the perfect wine for me. The Diamond white wine was sweet & delicious! This was the first glass of wine I've had in 50 years!! Mac was spot on serving me this! I loved it! She also suggested the Cabernet Sauvignon Ice Wine for me. Once again, spot on! It was delicious. My friends did a tasting of 6 wines for $5.00. They really enjoyed the wines. Mac helped to make our time there enjoyable & lots of fun! For a fun day, make sure you go to the Thirsty Owl Wine Company.

Highest accolades for the hospitality plus customer service and for the delicious, beautifully presented food delivered to us under the patio tent. I chose Sheldrake Point Winery for my small birthday gathering celebration because I already knew the setting overlooking Cayuga Lake is spectacular, as is the estate grown and made wine. The winery is under new ownership and hasn't missed a beat. The team impressed us and warmed my heart. They treated us all so well! Best decision to celebrate with the fine wines and staff at Sheldrake!
Enjoyed a nice afternoon sitting outside doing a lovely dry white wine tasting. You get a free Reisling bubbles glass to start & then you pick the rest! Loved the wine glasses the wine was served in. The gentlemen serving us were very nice & kept checking on us. We bought additional glasses & sat outside in the Adirondack chairs looking at the view - very nice!!
Sheldrake Point Winery was an awesome stop! We enjoyed French Dip sandwiches for lunch and it was truly the best French Dip I’ve had ever! We loved several wines but the “Bubbles” was our favorite. Incredible views of both the vineyard and Cayuga Lake. We’ll definitely recommend this special place, with a short, pretty walk down by the historic Driftwood Inn.
Very good tastings! We didn't stay for food, but the menu looked good! The Long Island family staff was super nice and very knowledgeable about wines. The Gewurtztraminer was exceptional!
Wow! This place blew away my expectations. The food, exceptional. The wine, delightful. The portions, generous. The wait, non-existent. The views, stunning. 14/10.
Fantastic winery. Has some of the highest quality wines in the area and for pretty reasonable prices. Can't wait to come back when the weather is nicer. Also the staff were so nice and friendly. They came back frequently to check in on us and kept the place clean and tidy. Really loved our visit! Update from prior review - we came back a year later and got to enjoy the patio and view and again, we had a fantastic time. This winery is a must to visit!!
Spent a few hours here with friends enjoying lunch, a few nice white wines, and the gorgeous lake view. Very pleasant and delicious! Our waitress, Maeve, was attentive and professional but never made us feel rushed in any way. Just perfect.
We sat inside for a wine tasting. In retrospect, we wish we had sat outside. It seemed very formal inside. The tasting itself was disappointing. Our server simply took our sheets that indicated our wine choices. He then returned with the wines but took absoluteky no time to explain anything about the wines. He was pleasant but wholly uninformative. The wines were okay but nothing remarkable. At $15 per person for a wine tasting, it was so not worth it, based on the above. We won't be back. As an aside, we also went to Thirsty Owl. It was $5 per person and the server was far more informative ... as one would expect at a wine tasting.

Absolutely charming venue with great and flexible tasting options and good service. Nice wines, a spectrum with something for everyone. Apple cider mimosa is simply amazing!
SHERRY is the best asset to this winery. We love her! At first we were unsure if we would stop because it’s not a lake view winery, but it was SO WORTH IT! Sherry brought the personality and 100% sold the product. It was such a great experience in a barn built centuries ago. Don’t miss this winery on your stop! Sherry is the absolute best.
What a beautiful experience. We grabbed a glass of wine and sat outside with amazing live music. Everyone working there was very nice and knowledgeable in talking about the wines, enjoyed the whole experience. As for the wine we had, it was delicious.
It may just be because it was early and I was the only one there, but this was one of the most awkward wine tasting experiences I’ve ever had. The wine itself was fine, and it seemed like it could be quite a nice place. But the person at the wine bar just hovered over me as I sat there, so I felt a lot of pressure to just drink quickly and get out. Very little to no information was provided about the wines (unless I asked specific questions), no conversation was made, just lots of painful silence.
Very high quality wines here, I really enjoyed the tasting we did. I'm not a wine expert by any stretch of the imagination, but there's something here for everyone. I was a big fan of their lemberger wine, which was something new to me. It's a beautiful spot to spend time with friends and have some tasty drinks!
In all our trips to the Finger Lakes, we'd never made it over to Hosmer for a tasting. We met head winemaker Julia Hoyle at an event in March and made the commitment to stop by the next time we were in the region. In addition to the traditional FLX whites (Riesling, Chard, Gruner) , Julia is also making solid Sauvignon Blancs and Pinot Gris. On the red side, she's making Cab Franc, Lemberger and Pinot Noir, as well as some blends. There is also a nascent sparkling program and some sweeter wines, including classic FLX hybrids such as Cayuga and Catawba. The tasting experience was ... interesting. The tasting room (at least the back room) is pretty bare bones, which we've come to associate with a serious winery. The wines were all good to excellent, but our server seemed totally uninterested in telling us anything about them. She'd pour our samples, then turn her back to put the bottle away without a word. She wasn't mean, just disengaged. It was much more like a self-guided flight tasting than anything else. Anyhow, as I said, the wines were very good and we bought several bottles (it must be noted, our server was quick to come out to the sales area and help us find what we were looking for). I'd recommend a stop, based on the quality of the wine -- just don't expect to learn anything about the history of the winery, their process, what kind of harvest they had, etc.
Great wines and very nice winery! We went for the Halloween wine walk and had a really nice time! Good music, food and wine!!
Friendly place to get a wine tasting. The building was clean and nicely decorated. The staff was kind and knowledgeable. The wines were unique and flavorful.

This place should be on your visit list when visiting the finger lakes. By far some of the best locally sourced bourbon and rye I have tasted it is the area. This is like distillery is literally farm to glass with this family owned an operated business. There is something offered from them for almost everyone.
Nice variety of liquor and liqueurs. We loved the fig liqueur and the corn whiskey was also really good! It’s a family owned and run distillery. Very happy we stopped for a visit!
A gem on the Seneca Wine trail - for when you need a distilled beverage. Beautiful tasting room with amazing cocktails. Do a tasting before you select the cocktail. All grain locally grown on land owned by this family for over 100 years. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the native plants in the gardens.
Reasonably priced, quick service, worth stopping by. You can only try 3 samples... they said some state law. We stopped at another place and we were allowed 4 so a little confused by this. Anyway, husband tried the whiskies and liked the corn. I tried the liqueurs. Thought I would like the coffee and fig but liked the coconut.
Fun little stop along the wine trail! 3 tastings for $5, can’t beat that! They also had a nice yard area with corn hole, ladder ball, and more.
The corn whiskey is absolutely incredible. We stopped in on a whim and I walked out with 4 bottles. The girl working was really smart about the different styles and types of liquor and I highly suggest stopping in. Apart from that the prices are very reasonable!
An absolute must visit along the western shoreline of Cayuga Lake. Excellent spirits combined with a very talented - and creative- cocktail-crafting staff. A staple for us on nearly every trip to the Finger Lakes.
Excellent liquors, great hosts, very personable. A must go to.

You guys all rock!! Staff was very welcoming and kind. We traveled by way of our Travel Van to the region. Took the tasting and loved their wines. More bottles to go please!! Lol. Will definitely stop in on our next trip
Very pleasant atmosphere in the large converted barn. A nice change of pace from other buildings. Pleasant, knowledgeable hosts. An owner is also usually there. A good selection of dry wines as well as fun wines. Great place to get gifts to take home too! A must stop on your winery travels.
The owner was so sweet and welcoming, taking time to show us around the winery and explain the winemaking process during our tasting. The setting was absolutely beautiful—full of charm and peaceful energy. The scenery looked like a painting, with the rustic barn framed by colorful foliage. A perfect stop that combines great wine, genuine hospitality, and postcard-worthy views!
This place is AWESOME. Had a chance to chat with the owner, Tom, who has owned & operated this vinyard for the past 30 years. Great guy. The staff was exceptionally friendly. My wife & I each had a sampling of 4 wines. I am by no means a wine connoisseur, and some suited my taste more-so than others, but that's the whole point in a tasting, isn't it? If you are on a mission to sample Finger Lakes wines, add this place to your list - you won't be disappointed
I’ve been visiting vineyards in the area for the last few days and Ms. Bobby had the best hospitality by far. My girlfriend and I stopped in right before she closed and she was still very accommodating. Great conversation and amazing wine! She had the best Chardonnay I’ve tasted and I will def be back to say goodbye before my trip ends.
We really enjoyed our visit to Cayuga Ridge. The owners, Susie and Tom, were the nicest people. We also enjoyed talking with their staff as they were very hospitable as well. The tasting room was in a beautiful barn. We did a wine flight and ended up buying a couple of bottles.
Very friendly and attentive staff. The barn look and feel is very rustic. Izzy the dog is super friendly and greeted us on the way in. Bestest girl 11 out of 10. I didn’t try the food but the white wine is pretty good. I wasn’t a huge fan of the Cabernet Sauvignon that I tried. Overall great experience
Such a unique little winery! Had the best chat while tasting their wines.

Another great winery on the Cayuga Wine Trail!! Surrounded by so many other locations this place finds a way to stand out with a great location and very good wine!! Had an enjoyable tasting here and would definitely recommend it as a stop for anyone blazing the wine trail!!
Awesome winery with AMAZING views. Must visit if you are in the finger lakes. We went there based on the reviews and we were very glad we did. With so many different wineries to pick from, we wanted one where we can get a tour, tasting, good wines and sit down with views of the lake and Toro Run included everything in our checklist. The owner, Chris, gave us an amazing tour and they had a great collection of wine. All the staff was very friendly and we spent a good 2 hours. Our favorite pick was the semi-dry resiling, which is also their best seller. They also have lodging facility if you want to stay at the property.
We had our wedding at Toro Run, and Chris and his team took such good care of us and our guests. They worked tirelessly to make sure everything went off without a hitch, not to mention the fantastic paella served for our rehearsal dinner made by Chris himself! Chris was very flexible and respected our preferences in every way. The whole weekend was simply perfect and we couldn't have been happier. You can't beat the wine OR the view!
We had a excellent stop here. We had the most wonderful woman helping us on our stop. She was super bubbly and knowledgable. Wonderful view sitting outside, great wine and phenomenal service. I loved the Dry Reisling. We'll be coming back!
Did a tasting and Audrey was my server. She is very knowledgeable and tried her recommendations. Very good Chardonnay reserve, Pinot Noir reserve, and Cabernet Sauvignon reserve! A favorite spot to take my clients while touring the cayuga wine trail. Best views of Cayuga lake. Highly recommend.
Toro run is an unfound gem in the Cayuga wine trail. The exceptional service and amazing wines will gladly keep us coming back. We were blessed with the kindest served (Oleg) who did an incredible job hosting our large party of wine drinkers. He was professional, courteous, intelligent, well spoken and knowledgeable about the wine- from grape to pour, he knew the complex process in and out and told us stories about the owner, his vision for the winery and the history of the area. Oleg also helped make recommendations for us while we were in town visiting and made sure we tried the highest-rated selection. Drove home with a case of the Riesling and fell in love with the atmosphere. 200% coming back (very soon) and looking forward to another delightful experience! Keep up the wonderful work, and thank you for the memories!
The inside is in need of some help and the format for tastings was not very efficient. Wines were good, but the view was a million dollar view
Holiday Shopping Spree 2017 : stunning views and very friendly staff, but the feel was a bit more like a sports bar than anything else. The wines were pretty tasty, we found one that we really enjoyed, and the views absolutely cant be beat. The staff were excellent, very friendly and knowledgeable. The only thing that was a bit confusing was the ambience: the set up and the decor had a slight bit of a sports bar type feel. We really enjoyed this stop and would love to come back when the weather is good and they have their signature food and tapas truck which uses their locally grown herbs in the cooking.

At the first timer Jump, Focus on Instructors & Safety What an amazing time at Seneca Lake Skydiving! My instructor was fantastic – so knowledgeable and really helped me feel comfortable every step of the way. Felt totally safe and the entire team was top-notch. Can't wait to go again! Highly recommend this place.
I stopped by a few weeks ago for a fun jump while visiting NY from Florida, and I had an amazing experience! All the instructors were incredibly welcoming and supportive. Megan even jumped with me since I didn’t have anyone to jump with, which was so kind of her! As a newer jumper, it was awesome to feel so welcomed at a new DZ. I’d definitely come back if I’m ever in the area again!
Fantastic experience. Must try if you want to skydive around the area. Megan, Mike and Kye were amazing and supportive team to experience this.
i skydived in may with my sister for her birthday, and it was great! every staff member we talked to was so excited, encouraging, and helpful. we felt very safe the whole time and had SO much fun, absolutely would do it again. definitely worth the money!! hoping to do it again someday soon!
Was such a great experience for my first jump. All of the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Megan was very accommodating as we had to reschedule our original reservation due to weather. Kye my instructor was fantastic made me feel so comfortable and was cheering me on the whole time. The videos and pictures came out great. I would recommend this place and experience to anyone!
I was with a small group on July 3rd 2025. The sky diving itself was awesome. The pilot, and tandem jumpers were all fantastic. The office staff for check in and follow up was a little less than pleasant but the rest of the physical experience was exceptional.
What an incredible experience!!! If you are considering skydiving, this is absolutely the place to do it. We jumped as part of a family trip, and it was such a fun activity to experience with my siblings. The staff were all kind and professional, and extremely experienced (one instructor I spoke to has logged over 3000 jumps! Shoutout to Kye, who was awesome!). The view and flight you get around the finger lakes is worth a trip in itself, so stunning and you can even see Canada on a clear day. Their safety record is perfect and we felt extremely well taken care of, and the whole process felt easy and smooth. Everyone had a great time and would jump again. 10/10 would recommend. Also would recommend getting the video package - they edit it together well and it's so worth it!
This was my first time sky diving and it was a great authentic experience. The staff were professional and did everything they could to make us feel comfortable. Great views of the Finger Lakes!

Great stay at Juneberry Farm. Guy was friendly and has a lovely AirBnB. Everything you need for a great weekend stay is here. Also a big thanks to Kate who told us about the area. Highly recommend!
We stopped by from out-of-state while visiting family. We love picking our own fruits, but we've never encountered juneberries before, so we really wanted to try them! I'd give the place five stars just for the berries. Easy to pick for our kids, and they are DELICIOUS! (and reading about them, so good for you too!) Besides that, it was a quaint place to pick, and Guy (and his fluffy dog!) were kind and helpful. The only thing I regret was not picking more (next year - we'll definitely be back!). Thanks for a great experience!
Great stay on the juneberry farm..the chicken are fun to watch and Sooty the great pyrenees the same! Trails to hike and kayaks to use. Apartment is super comfortable and heated with a cast iron stove. This is not your every day experience !
Wonderful tranquil farm with an abundance of totally organic u-pick fruit! The owner ia a gem too! Can not recommend enough.
Guy Lister, the farm's owner, met us at the drive into his farm. He brought us out to the Juneberry bushes so that we could pick a could pick a couple of pints. He allowed us to sample the fruit because we had never ever heard of Juneberries let alone tasted them. The fruit looks and tastes a lot like blueberries but has a deeper, richer flavor. Also, juneberries have twice as much potassium, seven times the calcium, twice the protein, and three times the iron as blueberries. While picking, he told the story of how he got started with farming the nutrient dense delicious fruit as well as other types of berries. He explained to us the challenges he has faced over the last few years, including flooding and animals eating the crops. His one man farm is impressive and his dedication to growing and introducing this new "super food" to the region is commendable. I would recommend a stop at the farm but would call ahead to make sure Guy is on site and there is fruit to pick.
Honeyberries are amazing! Guy is really cool, happy to educate people on his exotic fare. He loves what he does and it shows. Great organization, great berries.
🎖🎖This place is the absolute best U-pick farm!!!🏆 Guy is the greatest!! The selection is amazing! Highly recommend you stopping by and trying his berry or staying in his Airbnb!👍
The owner is happy to share knowledge about the berries he grows, and show you around. Awesome crop!

Had a great day of golf. Perfect course to do a family golf day with Grandma. We didn't feel rushed. Greens and carts are well taken care of and staff was very friendly.
Ya, good course for your money’s worth. Greens are decent but the rough is outta control. Keep an eye on your ball or stay in the fairway. Little pro shop and restaurant/bar with indoor/outdoor seating. Information at the course is different than online. Cash only. Haven’t played golf in the states in a few years but I noticed a serious lack of people fixing their ball marks on the green.
Bonavista is a hidden gem! It’s only a 9 hole course but it is in beautiful condition. The greens are nice and smooth and fairways are looking great! They removed some unwanted trees and bushes and planted new this year so it’s looking so fresh. I always feel at peace when I come play here! The course is great and the people are just as awesome!
Beautiful place, must see if your in the area!!!...
This course is getting four stars because it has a decent layout and was in respectable condition. I played on a Saturday afternoon at 1:30 and did not wait once. Tee boxes could use some work but for the price it's about what I expected. I'd go back.
Peaceful course. Lotsa birds out here
Sad, sad, sad. This used to be the best 9 hole course in the region. It is totally overgrown with clover, the sand traps are destroyed and non-functional, and it's getting burned out. Clearly they vendors can't manage this and need to give it up before it is ruined forever.
Nice course for beginners, might be too easy for an intermediate or advanced golfer. Beautiful area. Could use a little more attention to mowing. Greens are fast!

It tends to be loud in there any time I go. One of the best parts about a library is the quiet...
Might be small but there is a wealth of things to keep you entertained. The staff are very helpful.
I love the Library! we are so lucky to have Shannon and the whole crew!
They did a good job of renovating it and making the building much nicer than it use to be.
Wonderful library as-is. Amazing staff. Great kids selection. About to get an expansion.
Great mid 20th century example both in furniture and architecture.
People are friendly and helpful.
