Really awesome park. We watched the video before wandering the grounds finding the numbers on the pamphlet and explored the inside museum. Lots to see! Take water!
I stayed at the backcountry/hike-in site 1 on April 22nd. Arrived after the park office had closed but it was pretty easy to figure out where I was going from the reservation packet they had left to the left of the entrance. No information about where to park for hike-in sites. The hike was short but nice. The right-hand trail of the loop (the shortest way to site 1) is closed but it still took less than 20 minutes to get to the site. Site is pretty small with no fire ring and it is right next to the “lookout platform” (kinda disappointing- it’s only about 7 or 8 feet off of the ground) so if anyone wants to go there they will be traipsing through your campsite. But the hike in sites are far away from the main campground so not sure that many people would be interested (no one came through my site in the 12 hours or so I was there). The location is nice, right at the edge of a wetland area with a small waterway right in front of the lookout center, but the bugs are relentless. The no see ums were so bad I could not enjoy my dinner on the lookout platform like I had hoped, and the campground rules state that you are not allowed to have a fire unless it is in a designated ring so I spent 99% of my time there in my tent hiding from the bugs. Maybe it was just the time of year, but I don’t think I would stay here again. Also, they charge you a parking/access fee and I think that’s pretty crap to be charged for that when you are already paying for camping.
The guest services were kind and helpful. The self guided tour was perfect. It was very discriptive and informative. You could go through at your own pace. The entire place was beautiful and tranquil. If you listened closely as the wind blew through the trees and the palm fronds, you might hear the voices of long ago soldiers as the prepared for and fought battles. This is somewhere I would definitely return to in the future.
A good experience with plenty of knowledge to learn about the fort and area surrounding! Hiking trails were a bit flooded from the recent rain but still plenty to explore besides them. The places they let your explore are spooky but awesome to see! Very Well maintained!
Fantastic option for those exploring Savannah and local wildlife! Gorgeous park with lots of wildlife and places to walk. The cabins are truly impressive (sorry, I totally didnt take a photo)! No wifi, so plan for that.
Beautiful park. Stayed 2 nights and will be back. Large sites with water and hydro. Some sites with sewer. Varied wildlife wider the park. Saw many deer, armadillo, owls raccoons. Reasonable prices and nice quiet park. Trails, boats ramps. Small gift shop on site. Dump station, comfort stations. Highly recommend this gem!
We love this campground. The sites are shady, the atmosphere is awesome and the wildlife experience is second to none. The deer and raccoons visited our site every night. They would literally creep up within 10 or 15 feet of us in hopes we had food.
Beautiful State Park, excellent park staff. A great spot to throw a line in or picnic w the kids. Will be booking a campsite soon.

Was driving by and saw that this place was open. Stopped in and the very knowledgeable staff gave a great tour and was very very knowledgeable. It started out with a short movie then we looked at the rest of the rooms. The museum does have history of the local area. However is mainly focused on Henry Ford. I’m still surprised all the things Henry Ford was involved in to include the building of Richmond Hills.
WHAT AN EXPERIANCE. The guide (Paul) was really friendly and very well informed. The focus of the museum is the growth of the Richmond area based on the sponsorship of Henry Ford from 1925 to 1945. Not CARS! PEOPLE! Jobs with good pay and building a community not just a company. Schools, bakery, general store, saw mill, and farming cash crops. As well as industrial development and engineering. The town continues to grow with the seeds planted by Henry. ( hint look for the Georgia fruit cake for a real treat)
This is another excellent small museum. Goes thru the history of Henry Ford and Richmond Hill. Displays are well done. The volunteers were very helpful. We felt we had a private tour and lecture during our visit. Wonderful complete history of the area.
The Richmond Hill History Museum is a hidden gem! My recent visit was a fascinating journey through time, covering Richmond Hill's history from the 1700s to the Henry Ford era. Learning about the Fords' connection to the area, and my great grandfather, J.F. Gregory, was truly special. The staff's Southern hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable. Plus, the admission price is incredibly reasonable – $8 for adults and only $4 for members of the Historical Society and their families. It's a much better deal compared to other Savannah museums. I highly recommend this museum to anyone interested in local history
IDK if it should be 3 stars but we arrived today to visit and there’s a handwritten sign saying closed for renovations :-( and no date on when it will re-open
My Cub scout pack attended the Winter Muster Reenactment here. It did not disappoint! However I would recommend for this particular event that young child wear ear muffs as the cannons were deafening! Very realistic reenactments and afterwards the volunteer actors were able to let the kids explore and answer any questions they had.
If you haven’t visited you need to! Richmond Hill has a rich history. Many people are unaware of how our town came to be. The museum is a great learning experience and also has a great gift shop!
The building has a short film and displays. I was surprised at the involvement that Henry Ford had on Richmond Hill. An amazing man.

This is one of the coolest parks.. Really nice trails with beautiful trees. And aligators. Yup aligators I went here twice seen several gators and actually heard there call. Keep it clean plenty of areas to sit and view nature picnic tables and fishing . And on saturdays from 3 pm to 7 pm they have a local farmers market here.
Henry and Clara Ford bought land in the area for a winter home, and transformed the area into a thriving place. Ford introduced innovations and opportunities to the struggling area, creating job opportunities. J.F. Gregory was Ford's plantation foreman and general manager of his agricultural enterprises from 1920 to 1946. The park honors his efforts in transforming the area from a struggling community to a thriving hub. This spacious park includes a Veteran's memorial, a large pavilion for events (one being the Great Ogeechee Shrimp Festival), a fenced playground with picnic tables and a fishing bridge. There is a 3-mile walking trail on the levee around the original 300-acre rice field. The Ogeechee River parallels one side. Click my name for more reviews.
If I could give half stars, I'd rate this 3.5/5. There are a lot of covered picnic tables, a slightly older but ample playground, and nearby restrooms (which I would skip, if possible).
It's a large and well maintained park. The trail is nice and it's cool due to the shade provided by tall trees. It was great to walk with my dog. When walking along the creek, you can see Alligators(not often), turtles, small crabs and snakes... Many people were running, walking or riding bicycles. The park has a wide lawn where you can enjoy a picnic, and everything is peaceful. I will definitely be back!
Came here for the 4th of July celebration, and have been here before for the Ogeechee Seafood Festival. Park is very pretty, well-kept and has a good sized pavilion/picnic area. Playground is centrally located and in good shape.
This is beautiful 3-mile trail that skirts around the lake. The trail is mostly paved with about 1/3 of it turning to dirt and gravel. There are benches spaced all along the trail, some with picnic tables. I went on a gorgeous Saturday and it wasn’t crowded at all. Many dog walkers (leashed) and families on bikes or with strollers. It’s a great trail for running and nature watching, highly recommend!
Large playground area for children, with fence, soft surface and modern play equipment. Lots of large umbrella to protect children from the sun, including all the toddler play structure. Free parking adjacent, many benches and picnic tables. 2 baby swings 2 kid swings. Only downside is that they park is within wetlands so lots of small flies
Went there for a long walk. Very nice place. Great military memorial. Nice hike through the old plantation around the old rice bogs.

My wife and I have been coming here for a couple of years now. Have always had a great experience. Very clean, comfortable, and always relaxing. All of our massage therapist (especially Cherri) have been very attentive to our needs and any problem areas that we would like them to concentrate on. Easy to make an appointment with early and late times available, as well as on Saturdays. Good overall value and conveniently located in the heart of Richmond Hill. Highly recommend you give them a try and experience for yourself.
If I could give zero stars that would be more accurate. I scheduled a one hour deep tissue massage. I typically get 2-3 massages a month , so I am familiar with massage. This was by far the worst massage I have ever had. It was at best a Swedish massage and the therapist nails dug into my skin making it extremely uncomfortable. When I asked her repeatedly to do something about it she ignored my request. I have never ended a service early and should have done so this time. It could not be over soon enough. And if that’s not enough, I was told when I left there would be a charge for sanitizing the room for the next visit…. Excuse me? I asked her to repeat that to which she did and explained to me I would have to pay a service fee for washing the sheets and sanitizing the room. I have literally never heard of such. My massage was a year ago and I am just now writing this review. I had meant to follow up sooner. While booking another massage in Richmond Hill this evening, I took time to finally get this done. I too, like a previous reviewer expected more out of a small town business.
My husband and I had a gift certificate for a couples deep tissue massage. It was so relaxing. I highly recommend. My massage therapist asked if there were any problem areas that he should focus on and what strength I was most comfortable with. It felt amazing and my neck and shoulders feel so much better. I'm so glad we got to experience it!
I'm new to the area and was dealing with a really painful shoulder and neck and gave 77 Chi Massage a try after driving by their location for weeks. Absolutely amazing. Bill was my massage therapist and I got a deep tissue massage. He was very professional and I walked out feeling so much better than when I came in. I can actually breathe and move without hurting. He knew exactly where to put the pressure and how much. I will definitely be back again. Front desk staff was also amazing, offering water when I came in, and had a glass waiting for me to hydrate when I was finished. Great pricing. Thanks for the great service!
Best massage I have ever had! Cherry is an excellent massage therapist and really focuses on what you need specifically in order to feel better. She even took the time to share some exercises I could do at home to help. I am so impressed with my first visit and cannot wait to go back.
Great! First time visit. Location is ideal for us. Cherry was very professional & nice. She explained the difference between deep and Swedish messages with us. She even accommodated my short notice request for my wife's appt. which was very helpful & much appreciated. My wife & I will be returning for couples message day soon! Recommended!!
I have been twice and both times it has been a great experience. The massage therapists listened to what my problem areas were and I left feeling relaxed. It’s very clean and everyone is so friendly and professional! I have recommended 77 Chi and I will continue to! Also if you don’t have time for a long massage they offer chair massages-so awesome!
Worst massage I've had in years. I knew things where of to a bad start when the therapist I booked my massage with wasn't the person who ended up giving me my massage. No message stating a change of therapist or perhaps an option to rebook. I scheduled a 90 minute deep tissue massage and perhaps received 20 minutes total of deep pressure. The therapist had long scratchy nails that dug into my skin when ever she attempted to give me some sort of pressure. She over focused on my neck to the point that it became uncomfortable and I had to ask her to please move onto another area. Additionally she used some metal tool that felt like it was taking the top layer of my skin off as she used little to no oil or lotion throughout the massage. I have been in the massage industry for 13 years and I have never seen a therapist use or felt a facial rolling tool used on major areas like the quads in my life. To say that I could not wait for my service to be over is an understatement. The spa itself was clean and welcoming, however I did not get what I paid for... Did I mention she didn't even massage my feet. A disappointment thru and thru.

The staff is very knowledgeable about their plants and offer great advice. They always have a large selection of gorgeous plants that are much higher quality than bigger box stores. I always prefer to shop local with Ella’s! Thank you!
Beautiful, healthy plants. Lots of variety. Great pots for planting. The owner is extremely kind and helpful. Love this place!
Ella's is one of my favorite local places to buy gifts! They have unique local home decor, art, jewelry, amazing candles, and monogram items! And the market has the most beautiful plants and pots!
Lush selection of houseplants at The Market at Ella’s! Prices are very reasonable too. They had so many pothos, philodendrons, calatheas, hoyas, and monsteras! Amanda from the garden center was super helpful and went above and beyond to make sure I got a healthy plant!
Everyone is always so kind and helpful! I love the products they carry and the attention to details even down to gift wrapping.
Robert Lewis on our Driggers Group Real Estate Team, says.......Come Support local business in Richmond Hill at Ellas! Beautiful, Cozy, and coastal themed shop that provides an array of products.
