This was my father's day present from my daughter and the tour was Awesome! Very informative not just about the wildlife but also the history of the depot. Cant wait to go back in the fall when you can see more.
Sheer joy seeing these beautiful creatures in a free but protective environment... the bus tour ensures they remain largely undisturbed... our tour guide was very knowledgeable and has a sharp eye for these elusive creatures.
Amazing place. Great your to learn about the history of the depot as well as see some beautiful creatures! A must when at Seneca Lake.
The history being preserved and shared add the white and brown deer, occasional bird of prey...pretty awesome tour!!
Very well rounded tour with lots of information on the deer and the history that surrounds the area. Very interesting tour and cool to see these white deer up close
Nice day nice tour lots of deer and som history . I think the 2 PM tour is the best, deer come in the evening
Was a pretty swell place. Could benifit from a white giraffe presence on the grounds. Beggars cant be choosers. Love love love Ps. The deer dont glow in the dark....at all. Just saying. A white giraffe just might.
Wonderful tour, friendly staff. Not only do you get to learn about the deer but also the history of the land and Seneca Army Depot that the tour takes place on. We saw white and brown deer, a bald eagle's nest, osprey nest and some bald eagles flying above. The air conditioned bus is nice during warmer weather. Highly recommend.

We came for the anniversary celebration. The rainstorms did not stop the live music; vendors moved onto the covered porch. Our party of 10 had a late lunch in the restaurant. The Knapp burger was delicious. Bought bottles of my new favorite red blend, Profondo Rosso. The landscaping and flowers on the grounds are gorgeous.
Knapp’s became a fast favorite among our group. Our visit was awesome. Our server for the tasting was so nice and knowledgeable, she was able to give us in-depth descriptions of each wine we were tasting. Definitely the best experience we had on our trip in terms of learning about the wines themselves. They served yummy local cheese and crackers to snack on in between tasting!
Our favorite winery in the area! Jordan was the best! She made the wine tasting even more fun with her great personality and wine knowledge. Fabulous wines and reasonably priced.
The winery itself is fantastic, the staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and make the experience enjoyable. Unfortunately, the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. Wait times for both food and service were long, and the quality of the dishes was inconsistent. The aesthetics are an easy win, the layout and presentation are inviting, but the food simply doesn’t measure up. For instance, I was asked how I wanted my burger cooked, only for it to arrive completely different than requested. If the kitchen can’t deliver on that option, I’d rather they not ask. I’m usually pretty easygoing, but for the venue and the price point, I expected more. The fries were another letdown: half undercooked and soggy, half overcooked with a dense, raw center. The drinks were good, but when the food quality is so uneven, the bill felt almost insulting. To make matters worse, we had to physically track down staff just to settle the check, waiting about 45 minutes with no service. That happened more than once, both to request the check and then again to have the card processed. All of this was especially disappointing because it followed an excellent wine tasting experience. Even after a couple of cocktails and a bit of a wine buzz, the food and service issues were too glaring to overlook. From a quality standpoint, the restaurant simply didn’t deliver, and that’s what ultimately pushed me to leave this review.
A rating of 5 does not do this place justice. Gorgeous, 1st class interior venues. Tables are set with glasses, napkins and wine lists - so inviting! Tastings come with a bread, cheese and dip snack tray. Sheri, our server, was absolutely wonderful!! Very personable and knowledgeable about the wines. We were privileged to talk to Vanessa, the wine maker there. She had a great story of her life path. Bought several bottles to enjoy later. Also a restaurant there to enjoy!
I love Knapp! Such a wide selection of wine. Definitely try the ice wine, it’s out of this world! They gave us delicious local cheese and crackers and our DD some complementary local grape juice. After our flight they let us try a few more that we were curious about. One of my favorite stops on Cayuga!
The staff at Knapp Winery was exceptionally helpful. We were shopping for gifts to give to family and friends. Their staff show great patience and kindness in answering each of our questions. It was truly a remarkable customer experience. They also have a beautiful flower garden between the tasting room and the bistro. Thanks so much for everything!
This was not my favorite venue in the region. 🫢 I just really didn't like the building which is not air conditioned and being open to the outside I was annoyed with flies🪰 during my tasting.😖 The wines are good.🍷 I have enjoyed all of the wines on my visits. 😋More so than when I visited California. And the servers💁🏻‍♂️ are very well educated 👨🏻‍🏫on their products.🍇 This property also has a restaurant, which is air conditioned. And has a lovely outside patio overlooking the vineyard. 🍇 I would recommend a glass 🍷 and something to eat🌮 over the tasting🫢 They have an excellent gift shop!🎁🛍️

As a fan of dry red, there wasn't a wine I tried that wasn't exceptional. May, our hostess, was very informative. Even made a pup cup for our canine companion! There are ciders available as well. Highly recommend and looking forward to going again next time we're in the area!
cider flight was excellent, but could’ve used more descriptions. we tasted one that was like sprite, not knowing there was a lemon & ginger cider. the sheet of paper we got was just the names of the ciders. i agree with other reviews that there could have been more investment in sharing the descriptions of the products, winery & cider experience with guests. they took our large party of 15 without a reservation (an administrative error on the part of our wine tour bus company) and for that we were grateful. we enjoyed the pavilion out back but it could’ve used some games, like cornhole.
This place is not worth the drive. The signage was not that great until you were on top of this place. It is so far off the beaten path. But when you get here there is really nothing here. The grounds are nice, but it is not like a crazy memorable over the top winery that would draw you back. Or separate it from the rest of the wineries. The staff was just okay. Not a lot of describing the wine in the flight by the server. No history, no back story, no frill. Basically, just look at the list, pay for it, and here is what you ordered. It sort of felt arrogant. Like our wine is so good we don't need to say much about it. My guess is that they are just starting out and trying to get their feet wet.
My husband and I love wine and every vacation we go on, we seek out wineries. We both 100% agree that this place was literally the best, simply because of Mary. Along with the delicious wines, she made our experience so great - she was so nice, knowledgeable about the wines, and simply just amazing and truly deserves a raise!! :) will definitely be buying and visiting again!!
A great stop visiting wineries throughout the Finger Lakes region of New York. Swedish Hill vineyards offers up some delicious white wines and is well worth visiting. Mary was awesome to deal with! She was so pleasant and really knows her wines!
McKayla was an amazing tasting room associate. She was helpful and very knowledgable about the wines. She was very personable. We will definitely come back!
Always love coming to Swedish Hill every fall for the past 30years or so. Usually we come to get our Christmas label wine for gifts. Unfortunately, this year, they were not available. We were told that it was unclear when they would be available. A bit disappointed.
Winter and Summer winery for all seasons. Friendly owners and staff. Great wine especially the Glogg. Great warm or chilled. Nice pond and view of the grapes.

I always enjoy stopping here. The deck and grounds are beautiful. If you like sweet wines you’ll like this place. The diamond and Spumante were great! There was a yummy cider too. The server was kind and helpful!
Was there on Sunday 9/14 with my family from the Domincan Republic. There were 5 of them I was interpreting for. The person taking care of us for the tastings was super patient, understanding and helpful. The service here was amazing! We felt so comfortable, my family enjoyed the place so much that they only wanted to try the wines here and we ended up only stopping at one other winery after this as we enjoyed a few additional bottles of wines here on the beautiful deck. Thank you so much for the great experience. This is my favorite winery and now my out of the country families as well!
Beautiful grounds and deck for tasting. They don't give much info on the wine and not my favorite of ones over visited in the area. But a really beautiful place.
The customer service here needs improvement. We purchased a glass of wine and it tasted flat and sour. When we asked if we could return it for another different wine we were given an attitude and told they don’t normally do that. But it wasn’t our fault the wine was flat. Any other winery would have been glad to exchange it and realize that sometimes a bottle of wine is bad. Customer service is important if you want good reviews.
Solid. Amazing view. Nice dock to tie up to...
Very nice grounds - buildings, restrooms, open areas, deck and view. Separate brewery and bar area for beers, nice wine tasting main structure on hillside with large deck.
Excellent service! Friendly , kind and personable. Dave served us and knows his wines! Our favorite place so far! ( after Knapp it was heaven..)
Small and quiet place to enjoy wine tasting. Great view. I liked that they bring your choices as a flight. You can take your time and compare.

Dock the boat, enjoy some great wine. Besides the great selection of wine, there is a great collection of pickles, BBQ sauces, marinara sauce, olive oil, the list goes on and on. Great tasting opportunity! Friendly staff, great view of the lake, tasty wine slushes, and cold beer by the bottle. Something for everyone!
Cute winery with a potato slingshot and small general store! Tastings can be by the glass inside or you can get a food pairing! Multiple choices for food parings. Super fun to conduct your own tasting in a cozy chair on the front porch! The apple butter is very good, the grape jelly was little too thick and jello like with a very mild taste. Ample parking and friendly staff! Overall fun experience!
We love this winery! Lovely location on the lake. The people who work here are super nice. Cheap $5 wine tasting fee and they pair it with crackers/cheese/jam tasting for free. You can also taste oils, jams, salsa, pudding, cheese, olives, etc all around the store for free if you are underage or can't drink. We love it here!
The snacks here make the wine that much better. Wine tastings are paired with a cheese spread or chocolate and it really makes the wine pop. I wasn’t planning on buying anything other than wine but I walked away with a few spreads. The tasting area is not big at all and it can get very crowded at times. That’s usually no issue once you find a spot. Still 5 stars in my book for the tasting experience and wine selection.
Second winery we hit on the Cayuga Lake wine trail. This one offered a food pairing with their tasting. Very good wine and fairly priced. They also offer alcohol confections known as "booze balls", delicious.
We went during the Cherry Festival.. . There were vendors, food trucks, wine slushies and other beverages available. There are outside pavilions and for the event, a large tent with tables and chairs where you could sit and eat while you enjoyed the outside entertainment. We went on Sunday and Howie Bartolo was playing. It was the first time listening to him, in over a year because of COVID. He was awesome! We hadn't planned too, but we even picked cherries while we were there...so sweet.
Had such a fun time with the family here. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Absolutely loved the pumpkin chuckin! Take the drive out to our beautiful finger lakes wine country!
Varick was a winery that we stopped at during a boat winery tour yesterday. It was by far my favorite winery on the tour! They have tons of options there for tastings, sweet/boozy treats, slushees and wine by the glass. They also have lots of seating options which is helpful because there were lots of bachelorette parties there. One thing I really appreciated about Varick is the self-paced wine flights. At other wineries, the tastings can feel rushed when the winery gets busy. Varick’s self-paced flights are complete with food pairings for each wine, and also given to you all upfront so you can enjoy without feeling rushed. I chose flight #5 with the sweet wines. The wines were great, but the food pairings were even more delicious!

The park is beautiful. The bathrooms are very clean. And the museum is both very neat and free. There's not a lot of room in between sites, or trees, near the water - so you can get nice views. There are a few paths down to the water behind the sites closest. The docks that belong to Seneca Lake Resorts are great for fishing, and no one questioned whether I was a resident or boat owner.
Sites are pretty nice. Not too many trees and electric poles are quite far, so you may need to rent an extension cord from the park for $2 per night. Gravel pads are fairly level. Clean restrooms. Cannot access lake and can barely see it. Game room with $2 mini golf, nice gift shop.
Everything was lovely about this place. We camped for two nights here. The washrooms and shower rooms were clean and proper. Friday was live music night. There were also movie nights both the nights that we stayed. The sunset was amazing near the lake side. Will be coming back again!
Such a clean spacious park. Newly built Putt-Putt, pickleball court(there are nets), tennis court, basketball court and more. Lovely biking area. Cabins are always clean and great locations. Not too close together. Third time staying here. Highly recommend.
One of the most gorgeous NY parks! Huge sites, spotlessly clean, amazing military museum on the grounds, marina with pontoon rentals, mini golf next door, beautiful beach and incredible sunsets! On the Finger Lakes wine trail and only minutes from cute town of Geneva and incredible Watkins Glen!
This is a very nice state park.. it’s clean.. it’s old so the electric is 30 amp only.. there is no full hookup and no water.. you have to get water at the newly renovated area which is way better then the old way.. and you dump up there as well..they need a porta john up there in my opinion we drive 2 hours to get here we always have to go..
The campground was cleaned and well groomed. You can walk to the Vista mini/golf and where they have music and the farmers market Friday nights however, the path is hilly. No camp store in the campground but there is one driving distance at the Vista marina.
Very large well kept park. Ample camping spots with power. Great view, beautiful beach, and a well kept military museum. Loved our stay there!

We had a lovely wine tasting here! Our daughter was here earlier in the week and recommended it. It did not disappoint. An employee, Laura, helped us with our wine selections. She was wonderful. They give you a bit of cheese and bread to go along with the parents. You get five tastings for $15.
Love this winery and love being a wine club member! The wines are very good and the service is fantastic. Stephanie is our favorite customer service representative! She took amazing care of us this past Monday. Went back yesterday and Laura did i nice job too. Hoping for one more visit before we leave the area. I love how they serve cheese and bread or gluten free crackers with every tasting. Nice touch! We do not stay there but stay near thank goodness!
I would highly recommend a stay here. Visited the winery last year (delicious wines) and decided to try the cabin this year. Had a lovely view of Cayuga Lake from our front porch in the cabin. The cabin was very clean and very customer friendly with a small fridge, Keurig coffee maker, coffee, sugar, creamers, microwave, toaster oven, television, & Wi-Fi. Even though there are four cabins near one another and they were all occupied, you had privacy and didn't interfere with each other. They also supplied wood for a pitfire which we thoroughly enjoyed during our stay. The staff was very friendly and customer oriented. We are looking forward to a return visit!
We saw that they had gotten high ratings, so we visited for a wine tasting. If you look at many of the positive reviews, they're for something else other than the wine. We agree and we understand why. Normally when we do a wine tasting, we can find at least one wine that we like and will buy a bottle to take home. Not at Buttonwood. Their wines taste nothing like the description and, to be honest, it doesn't matter. They just weren't any good. Compared to the better Finger Lakes wineries, they're not even close.
Amazing winery! Diana was extremely knowledgeable and made our experience so enjoyable. Wines were delicious ...Buttonwood is the best hidden gem of the Finger Lakes! Gorgeous views, beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces, fantastic tasting experience! Highly recommend!!
I did a blind tasting with Bonnie. I did a terrible time guessing the wines, but it was a ton of fun, and the wines were all lovely. Bonnie made me feel right at home, and she seemed to enjoy picking out wines that might stump me. Whether you do a blind tasting or a traditional one, I highly recommend putting this on your list.
The wines here is excellent! I tried a good variety of wines, some Dry some sweet, not a bad one in the bunch. I think my favorite was the Sauvignon Blanc. One thing that really stood out to me, is their tasting notes on their menu were spot on, which is super helpful for folks like me who aren't wine experts.
I was surprised that we had to do our tasting out of the same glass. I didn’t care for one of my choices, so didn’t finish it. When the server came around for the 2nd pour, she told me I had to drink up in order to get the next taste. It was a bit startling. I suppose I could have asked for a fresh glass but the “tone” of the server didn’t lend to asking. I will applaud the option for gluten free crackers as one of our guests requires that.

Had a wonderful time! Everything about this place is great - the owner, staff, brews, food and the band! Looking forward to Brew Fest - Oct 6th - 32 Breweries and 3 bands!!
Probably one of my favorite "breweries" to visit. The definition of upstate chilling - great vibe and atmosphere with ample outdoor seating and a beautiful view of Cayuga Lake.
Nice place Variety of beer tasting wine and ciders. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.
Great spot with a nice view on the Cayuga Lake! Good selection of Beer and 1 vegetarian option on the menu 👍👍👍
Great place with lots of room, awesome beer selection and fun live music! Really good staff, huge BBQ grill, large shopping building to mix things up too. Lots of open air seating, games, corn hole, etc. Love it!
Awesome. We enjoyed the rock and roll music. The band was amazing.
Stopped in for some live music on a nice summers afternoon the first time I went and had a very enjoyable experience. Met the owner who was a very nice guy and proceeded to run into him again as I continue to frequent the place. Nice beer selection in a comfortable environment, along a beautiful stretch of road. That with a nice live music selection makes it a very worthy spot too visit.
I had fun here. Live band. Amazing view of the lake. Great selection of beer. I opted for a flight 4 samples $13. Loved the Peanut Butter and Coffee stouts. So much so I drove to the breweries that make them the next day. Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors here. Pet friendly if sitting outdoors. Bring your own chairs if you want for lawn seating.

Beautiful old-school vineyard still set up in the old-school way, they have a beautiful fireplace they like to light up and burn when it's freezing out, and have wine while sitting around enjoying each other. That's the way I imagined it anyway. But I loved it here, they actually had some of the best wines I tasted in the area.
Lovely old farmhouse with excellent wines and a great view of the lake. Just a fun place to hang out and a great start to our Cayuga Lake tour!
One of our favorite tastings! Loved the fireplace, fantastic wine and great hostess. A quaint personal experience. Highly recommend.
A rainy, gloomy day was meant for wine tasting! I arrived alone and left with half a case of some wonderful wine!! Sitting in a rocking chair by a cozy fire, Jeannie provided an interactive wine tasting and I completed my visit with a glass of Chardonnay offered to me by a trio of new friends! Lakeshore is a must see in the Finger Lakes!!
We went to lakeshore wineries for our friend’s bachelorette! We opted for the wine tasting and all the options were great. Loraine was so nice and knowledgeable! It was a great start to our weekend and would definitely recommend to others!
This place is great. It has games for the kids and wine for the adults. We were able to easily get some games of bocci ball in while we were waiting for others in our group to do tastings. I was able to keep the kids entertained while we waited. It was great to have the open space.
Small, intimate and cozy winery, with a huge beautiful space outside. Gentle staff and very knowledgeable about the wine options. You get a brownie treat during the taste, which was delicious. Good opportunity to enjoy a ride to the lake.
A wonderful, homey, cozy winery. Not included in the Cayuga Wine Trail Map, but it certainly should be. Staff memebrr Jeanie gave a wonderful presentation with an extensive knowledge of the wines being served. I will certainly be back to buy another bottle soon!

This is a very cute and quaint bakery and market. The baked goods are delicious and they went out of the way to make sure we got what we were looking for. Very kind and helpful! Highly recommend stopping here even if it's a bit off the path.
Nice little market/bakery South of Romulus. Not a lot of produce yet, only mid June, but a lot of baked goods. Their cookies are outstanding and their breads are equally as good. I think they have nine different varieties.
I bought pumpkin bread with topping from one of their vendors in Baldwinsville. I'm not sure how old it was because there is no date on the labels. Not only was it dry but the topping tasted odd. I only ate the one bite and tossed the remaining loaf. Later that evening I had dreadfull stomach distress. I will not recommend buying anything without a date. And I definitely will not buy Ada Pastries again.
Nice lil store we went got a few vegetables, bread and got some donuts.. the prices were fair.. the man running the store was helpful..
Great local bakery, great conversation with sales lady. Picked up three delicious loaves of bread. Hall called bakery selection of E Claire’s and donuts as well. Can’t wait to get it home and pound some fresh baked bread.
We make it a priority to stop here every time we visit Seneca and stock up!! They’re flavored baked breads (pepperoni, jalapeños/cheese, etc) and fresh cookies are so delicious! The orange crème cookie melts in your mouth! We usually only visit the area for a week but we buy enough for a month because everything is so delicious! We can’t wait to visit again in a few weeks!
DO NOT PASS! MUST STOP!!! We literally turned around in the middle of the road just because! If you want to support local this is the place! We grabbed some cookie, scuffins, chips and corn! Took the cookies and chips to 3 brothers winery! Perfect and the kids loved it too
Go for the fresh baked pies, then are ex excellent and made right there. Very good breads of all kinds. It's a great place for locally made baked goods especially if you're staying in the area.

Traders Village did not exit when I lived in the area. The property behind my grandparents stone house belonged to the Post family. Their driveway entrance was blacktop and exited on Rt. 89. I lived on Swick Rd. from 1959 until 1977 when I went to college. My grandmother bought the cottage on Poplar Beach for $500 and a model T. She was born in 1899 and lived until the fall of 1998. Just a few months short of 100 years.
The Beer Garden has a good selection of locally brewed craft beers. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful
Great place to eat and shop right on the wine trail!!
