You have GOT to stop by this store. And, yes, you can enter through the front door (the old-fashioned way in). What doesn't this store have! Food, drink, clothes, candy, maple products, toys, hard to find items, etc. We spent hours in here taking it all in. The staff are pleasant and very helpful. We left with a multitude of various items, but you simply must leave with their common crackers (regular or cheddar cheese), equally delicious. We stopped by Mildred's Dairy Bar next door to order a creemee. Our first, and it was unbelievably spectacular! They also offer sandwiches, hot dogs, milkshakes, etc.
I was literally a kid in a candy store. From Jersey, the weekday drive was worth the trip. Snow covered mountains, rushing, cascading water. Old Vermont towns and picturesque farm country of the Green Mountains. We needed a reason to go the Vermont Country Store in Weston, something we saw in the catalog. A straight shot to Albany and across the Hudson into the mountains with a little help from Maps. Back and forth was a little over 400 miles. The store is in an old cow barn. People were friendly and personable, but like all stores these days there's more in the catalog than there is in the store. Stores are now showcases. Things we saw were pricey, but of good quality like clothing, kitchenware, decorations, toys and candy. There's lots to see as there are displays of vintage house wares, such as a glass case filled with quirky old toasters. Local towns have nice local eateries with great atmosphere and are mostly affordable. Go!
Stopped by to check out this store on our fall foliage road trip on route 100. It's indeed a fun place to walk around, the store is huge and have lots of varieties of items to look at. Definitely worth stopping by!
Couldn’t wait to visit. My Mom (she passed last October) always ordered from the catalog. I grew up with a lot of the items. This was a great visit. A trip down memory lane for both me and my husband. Everyone was helpful with our questions about products and finding a couple items for us. No problems with parking. They are a pet friendly place.
Go back in time! Toys i havdnt seen since i was little and im 70! Very cute. A bit of everything in there.
I had an amazing time, going back in time at The Vermont Country Store in Weston,VT. It was such a beautiful Fall day, perfect for reminiscing on past joys of long ago while making amazing new memories! A great day trip of you find yourself in the Green Mountains of South Vermont!
Awesome! Everything you’re looking for if you want to gift shop and feel like you’re in Vermont. So charming, and feels like you’re taking a walk back in time. They have so many great things, we went twice! Loved Mildred’s snack bar as well. Old and young had a great time! Must see if you visit Vermont.
So much fun to browse this store in person! The store is huge with a vast array of goods including a discount area upstairs. They also have clean bathrooms, some great fresh food and ice cream, friendly staff and perfect fall photo opps. Don’t miss a visit if you’re in Vermont!

Summer stock is my thing and weston is my go to venue. topnotch productions with topnotch casts. last summer's singin in the rain could not have been better.(like donald o'conner in the movies weston's cosmo stole the show) Been going for decades and weston consistently delivers. get your tickets now while they last for another fab season ahead. you won't be disappointed. thank you weston from the bottom of my theater loving heart.
Medium sized theater with very comfortable seats. Excellent performance. They do matinees during the week and shows later in the evening and weekends. Highly recommend. Enjoy.
Talent was first rate. Ala-Broadway! Most especially our favorite OKLAHOMA. The dancing was incredible. Right On. We can’t wait to praise that outstanding performance to the rest of our friends who were unable to make it this time with us. Sooo impressed. Thank You!!!
My wife and I have been coming to the Weston Theatre since the mid 1980s. We have never experienced a less than wonderful performance. The acting has been top notch. On June 29, 2025 we attended the show Almost Heaven. It was terrific. What fabulous talent. We were blown away by the versatility of the musicians and the singing was super. Consider the fact that we have been attending from South Carolina for the past 19 years. Does that tell you something about this special place!
The playhouse is a great place in Southern Vermont. Saw Our town last night. Enjoyed Christopher Lloyd but the play sort of dragged on an on Cabaret was good but it seems the shows seemed to have declined over the years. As for the restaurant the service was poor and the waitress acted like she did not really want to be there. She never came back to see if we wanted anything else and we had to get her attention to get a second glass of wine. 3 people and a $400.00 dollar night and for the money there are a lot of other things around that are a greater value. I have been going there for over 30 years.
What a nice venue to watch a performance. Small theather. Good sound good sets. And great performances. Wonderful artists who are at the top of their game. Give this place a visit if you get the chance.
Always the best shows ,outstanding performances, superb acting ! And welcoming hospitality !
Excellent plays. The new theatre space is state of art, should host excellent entertainment.

So grateful for the brothers and today’s mass. The spirit of compassion and the sense of community is very much alive in this place. Our world needs more of their witness.
Very confused experience, they call themselves Catholic, but you won’t find in their mass follows the structure of the traditional Catholic Church ( not kneeling at all, not the Creed Prayer, St Micheal, not rites, etc) You won’t find one single Crucifix or image of our Divine Mother anywhere, the images of the stations of the cross, it feels like you are in a empty Protestant Church honestly without a place to kneel, pray or workship, the monks don’t even wore themselves a Rosary or a Crucifix, the cross in the barn is surrounded by the rainbow colors?? What does this mean? 🤨 The homily was kind of “Woke” with messages against the Patriarchy… and the welcoming to very one to heaven without any work by our part. Some of my relatives are not even Catholic and they received the Host, which I found sacrilegious, they just give the body of Christ to everyone. I felt very uncomfortable the whole Mass honestly, I don’t understand why they call themselves Catholics? Just my personal experience as a devoted Catholic, I won’t be going again, be aware!
Even after many decades of visiting this progressive but beautifully contemplative place, and even though the brothers are older now (as am I), the spirit remains truly alive here. Weston Priory, it's mission and message, has been so central to our own living out of faith that we constructed a bell tower at our Pennsylvania home that is based on the one at Weston. Shine on, dear brothers!
I visited their every fall for about 25 years for singing Retreats with Gregory Norbert sometimes at The Priory and other times at the Weston Inn nestled in a valley near a pond and Stream in Weston Vermont some of the best experiences of my life
Nice place to visit. You’re welcome to come in the chapel and see it too. Staff at the gift shop were very friendly.
Only went for Sunday Mass. Like stepping back into the wackiest stuff of the 1970s. Quite peaceful, but I have doubts that it was a valid Mass. When I went for communion I said "Amen" followed by a sotto voce "I hope". Certainly not liturgically legitimate. Elderly community and congregation. I give them 20 years at most before extinction. We will not be returning.
Been coming here for years, and have been here several times for retreat. The Benedictine monks are a great group of guys and Weston Priory is best known probably for its wonderful, humble, and simple liturgical music with the simplicity of the guitar and monks singing in the background. The monks don't offer formal one-on-one spiritual direction or support but their philosophy is that their music speaks loudly for itself and provides spiritual direction in itself. The monastery and grounds are very peaceful and serene and are wonderful places to recharge your inner spiritual soulful batteries. The monks welcome everyone as Christ. Located pretty close to the town of Weston which offers plenty of opportunities for good shopping and exploring. Would highly recommend and if you get a chance to listen and explore their music on Amazon Music, or Spotify, would highly recommend.
Sitting on my Blessed Mother Earth's lap Outside an Old Reverent Barn On Weston Priory Grounds On a magnificent Spring day Participating in a Prayerful Service Honoring Mother~Father Creator God Under a Brilliant Blue Sky Surrounded with Trees and Mountains With Birds singing along with the crowd Totally surrounded in a pool of LOVE What More Could I Want Or Need! Amazing store with all sorts of interesting Vermont products and lots more. The owners were gracious and fun to talk to. One end has the typical tourist items and fun things but the other end has all the local food items including their own house made fudge. Lots of crazy good cheeses as well and they are happy to offer you a taste of many of them. Plus $1.00 for a cup of coffee! Piece of fudge and a coffee for the win! Can’t miss the blue building on the left as you are heading north on Route 100, which is an amazing drive in itself! Wish it was in my town!
There is a wide variety of Vermont themed gifts and classic goodies in this store. There are a lot of clothes, including sweaters, socks, pajamas, hats, and more. There is also a large selection of Vermont craft beers and old-time sodas. There is a toy section on the second floor. There is a snack bar on the first floor.
I am claustrophobic so it was an experience getting around. Loved the store, the town and everything about the trip. The Kelsi’s part of the store was the gentleman who waiting on us was from Binghamton,NY, which just so happens to be where we live. Absolutely loved I This place and the town%. We where there for the first time the year after the flood and have been back 3 times, also the Vermont Country Store, The Chocolate Emporium and many other kelp places.
Wow . What a store ! We were driving back from Vermont to New Jersey and stumbled upon the store on the way… it surely is a hidden gem . They not only have a lot of gifts and collections, but also have a store that sells cheese and fudges.. and of course they have a great sampler so people can taste it and buy the best.. we tried jalapeño cheese, and it was truly magnificent… Women selling the cheese was so patient and smiling.. They had a wide range of fleece T-shirts and Vermont magnets and other gift items… they had some fleece on sale and we got it for 14.99. It was worth it… not sure if they are new or used ones but they looked clean.. parking outside is good.. overall had a very good experience… thought of giving a four star, but this one sure it deserves a five star… ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great store with a bit of everything and it's all unique! Candles in scents that I've never seen anywhere else, lighters of all shapes and sizes, so many affordable cast iron decor stuff, etc. And the fudge they make there is great and they don't skimp on the flavors...dark chocolate sea salt caramel, smores, yum! Definitely don't pass this store up, even if you goto the store across the street!
Such a cute store but parking was an issue and it was hard to figure out where everything was. They did have great things and good food. The town is beautiful and quaint.
Adorable store with lots of cute items. The Wilcox Ice Cream had good ice cream. Tried the Black Raspberry ice cream and it was great. Great to know if you don’t get mobile network here don’t worry. The store has wifi.
Might be the best village / country / general store in New England.

Museum was closed when we visited, but there were displays of old machinery on the porch outside to view. The scenery was magnificent!
Neat old building. Unfortunately it was closed even though google said it was open.
Nice museum of working mill. Ground corn wile we visited on a Saturday. The wheel no longer turns because it is buried in sand, but this mill was upgraded to turbine as were most grist mills do to many hundred percent efficiency gains.
Was not open when I went, but you can walk around the outside and on the porch. Very interesting and beautiful to see!
Beautiful waterfall! Look for wasp nest!
The museum was closed but the area is very picturesque 😀👍
Beautiful spot, and it's only a few steps down from the Vermont Country Store. Those few steps are completely worth the while.
Very cool place! If you are heading close to Weston, come check this place out!

Village Green Gallery is a beautiful art gallery and coffee bar located in the heart of charming Weston, VT. The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable, and make delicious chai lattes! Enjoy!
A lovely gallery in a picturesque Vermont town. The art is first-rate and the coffee was the best we had in Vermont. They also have a lot of local crafts and free wi-fi. The staff is very knowledgeable about the area and the artists/artisans.
The best gallery in the state possibly in NE. We own many works from the gallery and display that in NY, NJ and VT. On top of the great artwork they make one hell of a cup of cappuccino!
