Lovely couple owned business since 2017. Such a warm and inviting quaint Alaskan shop to feed your soul with art, fudge and other fun Alaskan keepsakes. Definitely check out the delicious and decedent homemade fudge. They orange dreamsicle reminds of my favorite childhood Popsicles. Must stop while in Moose Pass, Ak
This is a must stop if traveling through Moose Pass - the owners are genuinely friendly and pleasant. We went originally to see the talking moose and ended up with moose nuts (cashews and almonds), a sticker, and a patch. On our way back through from Seward, we stopped again for coffee and nuts.
Absolutely amazing fudge!! They have a buy 4, get the 5th free special so I got 5 (peanut butter, chocolate walnut, chocolate mocha, and dark chocolate salted caramel) and all were equally delicious! The owners were very kind too. Highly recommend!
The BEST fudge ever, definitely a must stop in Moose Pass Alaska! I've tried fudge from deferent places in several states, but Jane and Rodney deserve a 5 Star+ RATING for their delicious fudge! So many delicious flavors, but my favorite is Rocky Road! 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
When people say “best fudge in the world”, that’s a big claim, but if you find yourself about halfway between Anchorage and Seward, in Moose Pass Alaska, you DO want to stop here! The people here are great and the fudge options are even better! Lots of T-shirts and other stuff as well. Just do it/just eat it! VictorB
What a great place to visit! The owners are incredibly friendly, and the fudge is amazing. We tried 5 different squares and they were all fantastic. They make this creamy fudge fresh each day. "Drop in" and treat yourself to some of their delicious treats!
What a wonderful spot to stop at on your way in or out of Seward. The owners are amazing and so sweet.
Visited on my recent trip to Moose Pass for seaplane training. Great fudge and chocolates operated by a nice couple from New Hampsha😀

What a beautiful experience!!! We would like to thank the whole staff from the bottom of our heart for this awesome and unique experience. From the begining that I asked for information about the scenic flights to the end of this adventure: every thing was perfect. Our flight was scheduled Monday morning but due to the weather is has been postpone 2 days later and we really appreciated all the professionalism and safety of the company. We enjoyed our 1 hour flight. Thank you so much to our pilot Trey, you could feel all the passion he has to do it. We were speechless under these impressive landscapes. We will remember this first experience with a seaplane. Thanks again❤️ Sandrine and Claude #scenicmountainair #seaplane #alaska #unique #magic #neverforget #landscape #whaou #thanks #stunning #speechless
Absolutely amazing. We spent a week in Alaska and did all the fun stuff. Train ride boat ride and this Plane ride and this takes the cake. The staff was super friendly and down to earth. Our pilot Danny was awesome and took us around the beautiful scenery. We will be coming back to Alaska with our kids and this will be the one thing we do again without a doubt.
I was staying in the lodge across the street for a night on my way out of town and asked for some information on my next trip. They were nice enough to give me a real warm local welcome and a tour of their property as well as the flight school they have on site. It was intriguing to know so much of the history in town. So bummed I didn't have enough time to book a flight before I had to get back to Anchorage. Thanks to the pilots for the the crash course of knowledge and local info, it all came in handy! I truly appreciated all the hospitality. Book a flight for some killer views with some wonderful people.
It’s a must do while in Alaska!! Absolutely amazing. We did the hour scenic flight over glaciers, rivers, valleys, mountain tops, lakes, and saw 4 moose! What more do you want?? Go do it..
I finally got the chance to do a flightseeing tour with Scenic Mountain Air after living in the area for over 10 years. What a beautiful trip! My Dad and I did the 30 minute trip with pilot Trey who was great. We flew through Paradise Valley and the Snow Glacier which were breathtaking. It was so awesome seeing country that I could not get to on my own. Hope to do another trip soon!
great experience. there was turbulence but I think that's to be expected. my friend felt sick but we still had a great time. my headset wasn't working so I wasn't able to communicate, but just seeing the mountains and glaciers for what they really are is just amazing! would recommend..it can be a little difficult to locate though.
We had a great experience with a short flight from Trail Lake with Brad. They fitted us in at short notice in a well cared for C206 with an extremely knowledgeable and capable pilot. I had always wanted to experience taking off and landing on water and what a beautiful place it was to do it. A must do activity if you’re in the area!
Incredible 60 min flight! Glaciers, lakes, even saw 4 moose! Cassie was a great pilot!

My son and I just completed our commercial sea plane ratings at AFR. It was without a doubt the greatest training experience I’ve had in 35 years of flying. The instructors were fantastic, the school is very safety conscious and the owners are fantastic people. The area is breathtaking and made the experience that much more memorable. I can’t recommend AFR enough. I’m already planning another trip for next summer.
Seriously an incredible experience. Brad and Diane are great people and really take care of you. The flight instructors are extremely knowledgeable and bring a lot of fun to the experience. I can't recommend AFR enough, you will learn so much that not only applies to floats but also wheels, you’ll become a better pilot and you will remember every minute of the experience. Choose AFR for your float rating, you’ll have some of the most amazing flights of your entire life! Thank you again Brad, Diane, Cassie, Danny and Dallas for everything.
Very good times flying with them. We did a tour with the C206 for one hour and it was great. I also flew the Cub on Floats the same day for some spash 'n go's. Good times, excellent Training; Highlights recommend
Such an amazing experience and no better location to get your ASES rating. Brad and Diane are incredible hosts and keep a staff of CFIs that are top notch with loads of experience. Even if you’ll never use your rating later, this experience alone is more than worth it!!
I just returned from Moose Pass and 2 days of refresher training with Alaska Float Ratings. Over the weekend I flew with Zoe, Danny, and Cassie all who were outstanding instructors who have a passion for teaching floats and passing that knowledge along to their students. The pictures you may see don’t to the area justice. If you’re inclined to get your seaplane rating, get up there next summer!
Dear Diane and Brad, Thank you very much for this wonderful stay in Alaska. I particularly appreciated the quality of Joe and Trey's teaching and of course the kindness of both of you. Residing in your Trail Lake View Luxury Cottage was a huge privilege that will make this stay an unforgettable memory. Thanks to the entire Alaska Float Ratings team!!! Nicolas
I recently had the pleasure of attending Alaska Float Rating, and it was an incredible experience. The flight instructors were exceptional. The breathtaking mountain views during our flight lessons added a remarkable backdrop, making every session even more memorable. Additionally, the staff were incredibly attentive. I highly recommend this place to anyone aspiring to obtain their ASES as they offer a superb learning environment with stunning views and a dedicated team.
Had an amazing experience! Brad and Diane are great host! And Zoe and Danny were amazing flight instructors!
