Hosted my daughter’s & son-in-laws wedding 10/1/22. Beautiful venue staff was outstanding. Our event planner at Twin lakes was amazing in the whole planning process making my daughter’s fairytale wedding come to life.
It's been years since I've played there (12+), and it didn't disappoint. Many improvements to both the course and the facility. Very reasonably priced and very well maintained. Had a great time!
Held my baby shower here and everything was amazing! Everyone who attended told me how much they enjoyed the food! The people that work there that helped setup and checked on me through out the event were so accommodating! Manda the woman I booked the event through was over the top amazing!! Defiantly would book another event here in the future!
Nice golf course, but on the pricey side Some of the tee boxes show lots of wear. They have GPS units on the golf carts, which is nice. There is a practice range, greens, and sand bunker to warm up before your round of golf. There is a bar/grill on site. This is a very clean facility.
Do not be deceived by the quality of the food at the tasting because it will be very different at the wedding day. Went to a wedding on 10/12/24 and the food was TERRIBLE. Almost everyone’s salmon was incredibly dry and the prime rib was so tough you couldn’t even cut it with a knife. It was cooked medium-rare to medium so it was due to the poor cut of meat. No one was refilling water at the tables, you had to wait in the really long line at the bar to get a small glass of water. The food was so bad my dad spoke to the chef during the dinner service and the chef could care less about the quality of the food and didn’t believe my dad. Chef wouldn’t own up to his mistake and poor service. You should have seen how many prime ribs steaks and salmon were wasted because people didn’t want to eat them. Twin Lakes cooking staff should be ashamed of themselves charging $100+ a plate for garbage food.
Beautiful course, very well mantained. The carts have a heathmap of the greens. That's a nice touch. I enjoyed my round, and I will be playing there more often.
Nice place to have a wedding, food was pretty good, just wish there was more to pass around for the family style. Bartender's were on top of their stuff. Bathrooms are very clean, and so was the entire building and grounds
Summary: DO NOT GET MARRIED HERE!! I REPEAT, DO NOT GET MARRIED HERE! Very disappointed with their lack of customer service and overall ignorance. Context: My now wife and I were looking for a venue to celebrate our multi-day Indian-American fusion wedding. In general, they do not seem to have much experience with Indian weddings. We are happy we did not go with Twin Lakes for our big wedding day. The below points detail how poor Twin Lakes customer service is and how terrible it is to work with Laura and Ashley, their event management team - please do not waste your time with this venue. Worst Response Rate: To start, they are terrible to get a hold of. We tried calling and emailing just to schedule a tour and no one got back to us until multiple weeks later. Note that this was over a year in advance of our actual wedding date. Terrible Customer Service: When we scheduled a tour of the venue, no one was there to greet us and when we called to ask where they were, they made us walk around the building to come to their office, which was tough to find. They made it evident that they didn’t want our business. Not Willing to Work with You: When they gave us our customized quote, the Food & Beverage (F&B) minimum was split out for each day. We would have met the F&B minimum for the entire wedding weekend if we looked at totals but the event management team did not allow us to look at the multi-day event as a package. They treated each event as a separate event entirely. Lack of Experience with Accounting / Quote Creation: They charged us $2,000 for closing the restaurant for a few hours to keep our buffet there. They did not even attempt to work with us to find another location for the buffet. By the way, this is a small restaurant/bar at a golf course - they wouldn’t have even made that much revenue if they had that restaurant open for a whole day during that time of year. Not Willing to be Open-Minded about other Cultures: They charged us $1,500 to close down their parking lot to do a Baraat. The reasoning for this was making a mess with animals/decorations. We clearly mentioned we would not use any animals or decorations for the Baraat because South Indian culture is different from North Indian culture. They completely ignored us and still kept that charge on the quote.

I always love Camp Dearborn. Had a great stay there. Bathrooms were hit or miss on being clean. There was a lot of loitering at the bathrooms late into the night which was uncomfortable when walking there by myself, but during the day it was wonderful. The staff was super friendly and very helpful.
Very pretty place. My rating is low because of the bathrooms. We camped with a large group from Thursday to Sunday. During that time the bathroom was not cleaned. By Saturday there was almost no toilet paper and 2 toilets were clogged. I called the office and they said they would send a cleaning crew out. They did not. On Sunday morning, just as everyone is leaving, they closed the bathroom for cleaning. Just when everyone wants to have one last trip to the bathroom before getting on the road. For $67 a night, pretty poor service.
Do not swim here unless you want the stomach flu for a week! My family and I were scoping out new places to swim and decided to check out this place. Which turned into a horrible experience. There was animal feces all over the beach. Beach goers were stepping in it like it was just another day. This should’ve been my indicator to pack up and leave but instead we swam anyways. After we swam, everyone in our group started to feel off and had an upset stomach. Over the next few days our whole group ended up getting the stomach flu from the absolutely disgusting condition this beach was in. Not sure why the beach was covered in animal feces or why the property management didn’t take care of it. Either way, it’s a health hazard and I’m sure got a lot of others on the beach got sick as well. This is a first for me and I’ve never been sick from swimming at a beach. Needless to say, I will not be coming back to this place not even for a family picnic.
I have been camping, Actually pitched a tent in a wooded area and have had a better experience than the experience we had in these cottages. We booked two nights here in July and left after the first night. The amount of money they charge to rent one of these in comparison to the condition is not worth it. You might as well take your own tent and pitch it at one of their sites, it’ll be a cleaner experience. We had birds nests in our cottage roof that had us up at 5am. They do not clean these cottages at all and expect campers to clean it in between bookings. They have dirty brooms and broken dustpans for your convenience. We had to clean the whole cottage including the fridge, counters, floors and we were still unable to sleep due to the nests. This is mediocre camping at best. At least if I took my own tent, I wouldn’t be cleaning up after the person that was there before me. The bathrooms are very dirty and the showers are full of hair, the well water makes you smell like metal.
First time coming to this camp. It is a large place. We just came from a horrible camp in Ohio, so this place by comparison was so much better. I do have to say that I agree with some of the other reviews concerning late night noise. We were in a spot where nearly all the camp sites had multiple locals coming in and out. The sites across from us had five cars in one site. Many people in and out noisy. Our RV site too close to our neighbors. At night their camp fire smoke came into our sleeping quarters. Water had terrible iron taste. Didn’t use the restrooms. Overall relaxing time for us.
Hate to use the race card, but it is what it is. We had two sites and three tents. They said it’s one tent per site. We paid for a third site for my teenage daughter and her friends. The OTHER people right behind us, had three tents on one site. They weren’t the only OTHER people that had more than one tent on a site either. Nothing was said to any of them! I have video evidence and will never return to this place!!!! Additionally, the showers were disgusting. I’ll stick to Pinery in Canada and Holly Recreation AND both are a fraction of the cost!
The campgrounds are beautiful, lake for fishing, beaches for swimming, large area. Fire pits, grills, etc. all provided. And if you get a little bored you can easily walk or ride into Kensington or Island lake areas. Best part is how close you are to the camping experience.
We have been camping here for well over 25 years. We never had a complaint. However, something really needs to be done about the bathrooms. They are so disgusting. There was feces all over. Showers were clogged with hair and most times there was no toilet tissue. It was obvious that they had not been cleaned in several days. The new Green Cabins are so nice though and very spacious. A few suggestions, add a mirror, a second shelf in the cabana and a light in the attached pavilion. We did have issues withe the mini fridge. It wasnt defrosted and it wouldnt stay closed. We had to keep the trash can in front of it. Very disappointed that the Zipline wasn't open and now you have to pay for the paddle boats. Still very happy with our stay. However if something isn't done about the condition of the bathrooms we may have to start going some where else.

Dr Gigi prescribed me a series of treatments to help me heal my seasonal allergies. At this time of the year I would be taking allergy medicine like tick-tacks and still wonder if anything would give me relief while wanting to pluck my eyeballs out and scrape my skin off. That was my reality. After my treatment, I am so thankful to have not taken a single allergy pill. I’m not afraid of being outside, I’m doing my own yard for the first time in my adult life. I’m so thankful for Dr Gigi. Her gift is remarkable and liberating for those suffering and facing medical challenges of all kinds 🙏🏼
Best acupuncture treatment i have had in 20 years. Completely relaxing and I slept so well. If you are considering acupuncture definitely go to Dr. GiGI
Dr. Gigi is an Angel on this Earth!! Her treatments have been so incredibly healing to me. She is so very thoughtful in her approach and thinks about every aspect to bring you peace and healing as quickly as possible. Not only does she take care of the body but also takes into consideration the mind and spirit. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Gigi and all that she has done and continues to do for me!!
This is my first experience with acupuncture, in my case for chronic neck and upper back pain. I began noticing significant improvement after just a few treatments, and have been able to reduce the amount of medication I take - very impressed! Dr. Gigi is very caring and personable, and takes time to explain the treatment procedures and how they work. I highly recommend her.
So appreciative of Dr Gigi and her accupuncture skills, her practice! She tailors each accupuncture treatment to my physical symptoms and current life circumstances using her life coaching skills to compliment each session. Every session leaves me feeling grounded and so calm. She hosted a class in her office on Feng Shui which I also attended and loved! She is very professional and warm, so personable! I would very highly recommend her practice!
