The casino was secure and safe and so very clean. The staff was amazing and very helpful. The variety of games were outstanding and the entertainment was excellent! I would definitely like to make another trip there it was worth every penny. We stayed there the entire weekend we only left once to go to the Lorraine Hotel.
Southland is a wonderful place to relax, enjoy good food and fun. If you're a slot player, they offer a variety of slot machines. Smoking area as well as non-smoking areas. Staff is very helpful and most of them have great!! attitudes and encouraging.
I cannot say anything about the rooms as I have not stayed there, yet. But I have walked around the lobby of the hotel and the entrance inside and out are beauiful. they are very well maintained, clean and very eye catching. The staff have always been nice and welcoming. We do plan on staying there sometime. As my husband and I like to travel to different casinos and stay and play for a few days. We just moved to TN from the west coast and we are looking forward to seeing what this part of the US looks like.
Checked in with a woman at the front desk that had attitude. She was fine with a black lady ahead of us, but when we stepped to the desk her smile disappeared and attitude changed. No smile and blunt. If you go to Memphis or west Memphis, you'll understand. Security with a drug dog at the entrance checking luggage. Only place that we have ever been checked entering a hotel/casino.
I enjoy Southland Casino, it has become one of my favorite casinos. The vibe is enriching and the various food delicacies is amazing. I didn't stay overnight on this visit but rooms are very accommodating and spacious.
That new ceiling in the gaming area screwed with my vision! Fix it or replace it, please! I love your high limit area, may I suggest enlarging it with more options? But that ceiling... something DEFINITELY has to be done about that, and I'm sure I can't be the only one who hates the lighting!
Wonderful casino! So clean and beautiful with friendly employees. We came for the free concert in the tent. It was great. We felt very safe too. Went inside the casino and won some money. Great experience! Want to go back soon.
First time I have been in a few years. Have upgraded absolutely everything. The restrooms were clean, employees were nice, the only thing I dislike was the way all of the lights from the ceiling reflected off all of the machines making it hard to see. Other than that, I will be back and it was a great experience!

Rest stop

One of the nicest rest stops I've stopped at. Clean, very friendly staff, beautiful inside, and they even have a cut out as a frame of Arkansas use for a picture. Great place to stop. My 7 year old granddaughter got a certificate, pin and sticker for her first time visiting Arkansas.
Nice rest stop located just off the Interstate 40/55 path in West Memphis. At the time of my visit, there was plenty of parking but the location was not too busy either. They have seating and plenty of space outdoors, when the weather is nice. The have a very nice interior with bathrooms that do not close although the visitor center itself does. There are vending machines and other amenities you would expect to find at a rest stop. Overall, not bad and very convenient.
Travelling to Arkansas, Stop here first !! On the way into Arkansas, across the river from Memphis TN, is the city of West Memphis. Just off the highway into Arkansas, off I-55 you will find the West Memphis Welcome Center. This center is staffed with friendly, knowledgable folks who are more than happy to guide you, set you up with travel info or just chat. This welcome center has all kinds of printed media to further enhance your Arkansas experience. This Welcome center also has restrooms, vending machines and seating outside for picnics or just to enjoy the weather. it is always once of my stops when I'm back in good 'ole Arkansas.
Ladies there are very helpful and give you updates on the conditions of the interstate 40. Lot of great information about the state.
Bathroom is very clean. They have information on every part of AR you can imagine. The staff are extremely helpful, kind and pleasant.
Large inside with lots of brochures and very welcoming volunteers who were quite helpful. Large clean bathrooms. Water fountain.
Beautiful building. Lots of brochures. Plenty of covered pavilions for picnics.
Nice and clean welcome center with friendly staff manning the counter to help you find what you’re looking for if you’re browsing the pamphlets of info areas for Arkansas. There was even a section dedicated to different things like rocks of Arkansas that I thought was interesting. Clean facilities as well.
