Vast natural area & year-round recreation spot for hiking, kayaking, showshoeing & birdwatching.

One of Quebec's beloved national park. The coastal scenery really is something to behold. I'd recommend you sync with the tides and at least do the 'grand tour' hike, which, in my opinion, showcases the best the beauty of the area.
We stayed at Parc National Dubique in Quebec, booking a yurt in the Tolombo area. The yurt itself was fairly clean, though it could have been better. We faced a lot of bees and bugs, which became quite annoying as there’s no screen on the door. Do note that you’ll need to bring your own bedding since blankets and sheets aren't provided. The park lacks some basic amenities that would make the experience more comfortable, especially considering the cost. There’s no shower in the yurt area; instead, there's a small, shared shower at the reception that's dark, has a noticeable odor, and limits you to a quick four-minute wash. It felt uncomfortable, and given the price, we expected a bit more convenience. There’s also no private washroom. A shared one is available, but it lacks a sink, and there’s no running water. We had to wash our hands, dishes, and even brush our teeth with very cold water outside. While the lack of facilities was a bit challenging, the park did provide ample firewood both inside and outside the yurt, which was very generous. On the positive side, the dishes and cooking utensils were provided, and it was convenient to have a refrigerator—though without a freezer, which was unusual. Staff occasionally drive by, and if you’re lucky to catch them, you can ask them to stop to answer questions or provide anything you need. They were very kind and respectful, though communication was a bit tricky as they spoke only French, so we used a translator. Overall, we enjoyed our stay despite these challenges. The park is conveniently located, though its proximity to the highway does mean occasional noise from passing cars. Staying in October, we found the yurt a bit too chilly at night, as the heater was quite small, so winter stays might be particularly cold. While the experience had its charms, we felt it was a bit pricey for the limited facilities. However, if you’re well-prepared for a rustic stay, it’s still a pleasant spot to unwind and enjoy nature.
Beautiful park. We stayed in Macreuse Campground, Site 14 - a back-in site with 30 amp power hook-up and water hook-up. The Macreuse Campground is adjacent to the highway, so expect some road noise. Not too much at night. Staff was helpful. Nice to be close to the wonderful hiking trails and water front. Rate includes daily park entrance fee. Campground is open and would benefit by some tree plantings, but site were generously spaced.
Very beautiful. A lot of different trails. Some harder and some great to bring kids and dogs. You need to check for the tide in advance, some trails are not easily accessible when the water level is high in the morning. In the early afternoon when the water is at the lowest you can easily walk around (bring good shoes you don't mind getting muddy!") La ferme Rioux is a great spot to access it by the beach. "Le grand tour" is definitely a must but a little difficult. For an easier one, I recommend "la Champlain" it's not too hard and dog friendly. The view at the top is wonderful, there's a nice observation deck with a few tables and benches and a toilet at the top.
Beautiful area! Almost feels like the ocean! We had lots of fun with the kids. We went on the bike trail which is awesome! You can go anywhere by using it. Only thing is that a lot of the sites are on an old farm, so basically no trees and totally exposed to the weather.
We stayed at Parc Bic for 3 days. We had a wonderful stay. Full of activities to do. Contactless check in, able to drive directly to the campsite. The only thing we didn't like, most campsites are wide open and lack privacy. Our campsite was close to the highway that you can hear cars and trucks going by. They have many clean bathroom/shower houses and kitchen sinks to wash dishes. We loved the hike. The low tide was 10:38 and we started our hike at 10:30 to Cap-à-l' Original. It was a beautiful hike, but challenging due to the rocky terrain. Not recommended to hike with small children. Our teenage children loved it. It took about 50 mins to Cap-à-l' Original from P2 parking lot. P1 was already full when we arrived. Recommend to go there early in the morning. Parking at P2 will add 10 minutes of extra walk to the start point of the trails. After we finished our lunch at the Cap-à-l' Original's beach, we took Le Contrebandler and Les Escallers to Le Scoggan. Pretty easy hike trails in the forest under shades. Then, we took La Pinède to the look out point. The view was breathtaking. The trail had multiple ups and downs to the look out spot. Moderate hike, not much shades. Then we took the rest of Scoggan and went back to P2. It took us 3.5 hr to complete the 10 km, including the lunch break. We also booked a kayaking tour @16:00. The meeting spot is 5 minute drive from Park Bic camp ground. We were hoping to see some seals, but we saw none..,but the sensory was spectacular. It was a super windy afternoon that we used tandem kayaks. The sunset was 20:08 and the sky was just beautiful when we were heading back to the shore. There is an excellent sunset watching spot right at the shore as well. A grocery store is only 8 minutes away by car. Convenient but pricey grocery store.
A beautiful Park with hiking trails for all ages! Weather you want a nice walk by the water, or want to scale some rocks for a unique view, this Park has it all! This is a wonderful Park filled with active wildlife. I highly recommend this as a stop to anyone passing by, even if it's just a quick stroll
Great camping spot! Lots of camping spots, firewood and gift shop/convenient store on site. Designated areas for dogs: There is 1 camping area and one trail that allows dogs and the rest of the grounds are off limits, just keep that in mind if you plan to roam around or are there specifically to go seal watching. The dog-allowed camping area is also near the highway, which can be noisy at times, but did not bother us much. We would gladly stay here again.

It is a historic place, moreover, it's a historical complex of 3 excellent attractions, all super interesting, this is the "ONONDAGA" Submarine... Despite having been in the army, had never been on this type of ship, so To explain everything they created an audio system with 17 points, so you can listen to the explanatory audio as you go passing through each compartment of the submarine point by point, and if you have a minimum of imagination, you can place yourself in time and situation, as if you were in an action film or a documentary. The state of conservation and originality of the ship is remarkable despite the fact that many visitors pass by the place every day, but externally it is the weakest point of conservation due to exposure to the elements and inclement weather, which in winter is not friendly, which is understandable A place that deserves a stop to be enjoyed, very well explained and easy to access, I recommend it 100% and see the images.
First of all, this is an under-appreciated event in Canadian history, on par with the Titanic and overshadowed by the impending Great War. So to visit the museum with a lot of informative artifacts, one gets the sense of the tragedy. The visit features a video presentation which is best experienced before one goes through the exhibits. It is sad to realize that for many years the wreck sure was unprotected and scavenged by divers from all over.
I only saw the Onondaga and it was definitely an experience to be had in person. The submarine was super cool to walk through and interact with, and the audioguide was informative albeit a bit long for the pacing. The lighthouse was free on Canada Day but you have to go up with an hourly tour so unfortunately I didn’t have time to go.
It was informative about the Empress of Ireland collision in 1914. Great static display of a submarine. Nice lighthouse.
We visited this site in August 2014 to see submarine museum and Empress of Ireland museum. They provided us English audio headphones to listen to all details of the museum. It is a must visit place. The other museum for the ship wreck of Empress of Ireland was also very interesting and informative.
This historical landmark is a must-see for any visitor to Remouski. Tickets can be purchased on-site. I also recommend visiting the cinema, which offers a unique and immersive experience.
We are very much enjoyed this stop during our Gaspesie trip. We visited museum and submarine. I liked submarine the most. Great to have the the phone-like guide with the detailed information. You can pause, repeat, skip as you wish. Highly recommend!
A great stop to see pretty unusual things! A submarine (unfortunately it was closed and couldn't be visited when we were there), a fairly tall lighthouse and a museum building that is built in a rather unconventional way-- yet totally appropriate considering the topic: the tragedy of the Empress of Ireland (the building is shaped as a shipwreck). Definitely a stop that we would recommend.

Beautiful visit to a great park. You can go and make a picnic eating near by the river, after, you can take a walk and observe the great sculptures they have there.
One of the best park I visited in Quebec. You have a kids playground, a pump track, a water play, and lot of more. And you can also borrow kids bike, scooter, roller-skate for free, for kids and for adults, which is amazing. You have a lot of trees and tables so you can rest safe from the sun.
What a gem of a park, multi-functional. You can do many activities. We had a picnic and then went for a walk. Beautiful sceneries.
Amazing place for kids and grown ups!! The park is big and if you keep walking you will come across a very long hiking trail all the way to Dynamo and beyond.
What a great park just a few minutes from downtown Rimouski. The park includes a children's playground including water activities, skateboard/bmx area, picnic tables, and volleyball nets. There are public bathrooms and an ice cream shop. The main interest would probably be the multitudes of trails that are shared between cyclists and hikers. Winters also cater to cross country skiers and snowshoeing. There are a few areas that are used as beaches (no sand but mostly small smooth pebbles/rocks). There is also an area dedicated to mountain biking with trails ranging from easy to difficult (I included a map of the trails). These trails can be found after crossing the bridge at the Dynamo (which is also a little beach area)
Beautiful and well maintained park not just for kids to enjoy but adults as well. They have a lovely child proof play area, splash pad, skating/cycling stunt circuit, well marked walking path and a lovely bridge over a water body. There is adequate parking too.
Stopped here on our way to Gaspe. Very nice and clean park. Lots of playground space for kids to stretch their legs. Picnic areas to have a quite lunch, gas station nearby to fill up and then back on the road. It is not too far off the highway and makes a better stop than the rest stops.
Beautiful place to skate and take a walk during winter.

We passed through Rimouski in an RV, and found here parking spot for the night (18-9). There is also free Wi-Fi for planning further activities (Parc National du Bic!).
Able to speak English and French with no problems. Very helpful and can give you any information you need
unbelievable service. The clerk was really nice.
We had a wonderful experience during the first six days of our Quebec visit - until we visited this tourist information office. We were looking for a map of Quebec. When we entered the building 2 other visitors were being served. Soon one visitor was finished - we had been standing waiting - the staff person rather than acknowledging us turned away to join the other staff. We had to try to get her attention which she finally gave us reluctently. We were speaking english - her reation 'appeared' to be sullen and uninterested. We asked for a Quebec map (which was available) but she said to go to the library! We did convince her to show us the map which we bought - no thank you - no positive ineraction - left us feeling that she would have prefered we were not there! All of our other experiences with Quebecers had been welcoming and friendly - with the exception of this lady - supposedly a representative of the province.
The staff show me where the toilet was. It was a pleasant interaction.

(Translated by Google) +: The places are clean, the farm is well located near Bic and Rimouski. The homemade breakfast is excellent. The farm animals are varied and pleasant to look at. -: The cold welcome from the owner did not make us feel welcome. We felt like they were doing us a favor by allowing us to come to his lodge, we were not treated like the guests we were, but rather looked at in a certain way. Right from the start, as soon as we got out of the car, without welcoming us or showing any interest in us, the owners explained to us the many rules to respect and how the former customers lacked good citizenship, damaged their house or had not did not understand or follow the rules of their private home. The parking spaces are not marked on the lot, but the owner was outraged that we were parked in a place that did not suit him and demanded that we immediately move the car without giving us time to take out our suitcase, even though the place was completely deserted — he feared “Free for all” (his words) or “losing customers”. The owners were not very cheerful, we had the impression of being numbers and of being too many. The walls of the rooms, very thin, do not offer any privacy, you can hear the neighbors talking or those going to the toilet, which is shared. Those looking for privacy and a soundproofed place will prefer a hotel. We had booked three nights, but checked out after the second night.

Short hike up to the look-out point. We needed to access it through the school park, but I'm not sure how you would get there if school was in session. There are some panels along the pathways that describe a bit of the history of the area, and there is a cannon!
Great little park not very good signage

Nice theatre where the view is good and the sound is great. I saw a wonderful french show (Fin septembre, début janvier), it was amazing and very well executed from the young actors. There's a nice terrasse where you can chill before and after the show. The staff are nice. You have parking near the building.
(Translated by Google) I was with my son and we had a wonderful time. The play is beautifully staged and features excellent performances from each of the actors. The message that gradually unfolds calls for a full opening of consciousness and proves particularly relevant. It is a play that must be seen!

(Translated by Google) A beautiful, warm, and welcoming venue. The small size of the venue makes the performance intimate. I just saw the play Fanny there with Marie-Thérèse Fortin. Magnificent. A blend of social questions that immerses us in ourselves. I recognized myself in several of the lines. Without being overly social, this play questions our participation in the emancipation of our society. Fanny is a play that makes us realize that not only does society confine each of us to a blinkered comfort zone, but that each of us also confines society to non-evolving stereotypes. Everyone leaves their own positive mark in their own way, if they do what's necessary and deeply desire it.
