Loved these trails!
Not maintained at all. If you are planning definitely need a snow shoe. When I was there during April 2021 there were parts of trail with 3 feet snow that was not packed at all. Needs to be extra careful on the trails too.
it was a great experience, but the whasrooms are pretty dirty

Mazukama Falls in early May requires good waterproof footwear & perhaps some cleats if you're afraid of ice and water. The trail still had a good frozen layer of packed snow. The river itself ran high and fast as the Spring thaw was in full swing. It proved to be treacherous crossing the flow due to significant rapids. You can choose between a fallen tree or a self built dam to balance your way to the trailway across the river. As you climb elevation along the river there are spectacular views of cascading smaller waterfalls all the way up to the main attraction. We chose to take the long forested route around which added 1 hour to the hike. The main Falls was worth the trek. A spectacular view under the Falls displayed a rushing torrent of winters end. This is an incredible hidden gem for hikers of all kinds. You decide which degree of difficulty to take. I'd say it is rated for intermediate to experienced hikers and I suggest always to hike with at least one other person. Definitely 5 stars and 2 thumbs up. 👍 👍 ✨️ ✨️ ✨️ ✨️ ✨️
Beautiful trail! There are a couple challenging spots but there are ropes to help you pull yourself where necessary. It's a pretty quick hike if you just go to the falls. Sadly when I went a couple weeks ago the falls were dried up, but nature is nature, can't control it, still a gorgeous hike and nice place to rest when you get to the falls.
One of the hike that we should really do if like adventurous hiking The total hike will be about 6 -7kms Can go to the waterfalls.which was kinda dry when i visited but was havinga some water falling. The best part was the stairway to saints and was best. Will be lil bit tiring. But if u reach the top Its gunna be great. Its worth hiking to the top.
I make Youtube videos on hiking areas around thunder bay Channel name: Vicarious Living Video name: Hiking Mazukama Falls: Scenic Trail If you come here for waterfalls this is the spot along the way you will see about 10 in 1Km if you follow the stream all the way up. If u come here in August the falls will just be a sprinkle so show up early spring. KEEP READING if you are visiting well after spring don't worry there is a trail called "Wingtip lookout" it takes you through the forest which gives mystical vibes and brings you to an awesome stairway of rocks up the mountain. I recommend you try both atleast once
Absolutely loved this hike. I was able to make it to the lookout in about 75 minutes, and then about 60 minutes back down to the trailhead. I did the hike up to the falls then over to the Stairs of the Saints and up to the lookout, then took the lower trail back out to the trailhead. Will be back to hike again.
This waterfall is perfect in summer and winter; I went in both seasons, and it is impressive; it is a moderate hike that is easygoing for all levels, and you don't need special equipment
Intense trail with steep sections. I like the fact there are ropes to grab. The 500meter section of steep climbing is awesome. The view at the top is worth the hike. Although the waterfall was more like a garden hose that didn’t bother me.
It's a beautiful trail but if you are planning to go during winter make sure you have the best hiking boots. The trails are so slippery. A lot of slope but there are rops to help you. Still you will need a lot of grip to get to the top. Worth it

Awesome spot to stop & get great counsel!!! Really easy to approach the young woman at the entrance desk!! Was easy to talk to... perfect for public & tourism!!
Sadly this info centre is closed, however if your looking for a quite spot to stay in your RV or car for the night it will fit the bill. They were kind enough to keep the plug by the parking lot turned on so I didn’t have to start the generator. This spot also has 6 working EV (Tesla) charging stations.
Large parking lot, clean washrooms, friendly people and a great spot to stop for lunch.
If you need a free quiet spot for the night, this place is great. If you’re looking for information, sadly it is closed.
Wheelchair Access. Picnic Tables in the shade. Have a picture lol... but close on Sunday.
Nice and clean. Great stop for a pre packed lunch . Pleasant. 👍👍
Couldn't help alot inside, but great place to spend the night, in bothered.
Friendly service and washrooms. Nice place to stop.

It has been a long time since I have played around at the North Shore golf club 5 years I believe. Amazing little golf course. Challenging for any golfer with any experience level. Looking forward to being back in August for a round.
I ' ve been a member here now for 53 years. If you have played here before you will know that the tee boxes and fairways are not exactly the very best but we are always trying to improve. Our greens are our "piece de resistance". This summer they are about 95% flawless thanks to the hard dedicated work of our greens keeper Brent. If you missed that 4 foot putt it was your fault not the green. If you haven't played here yet , come give it go. Price is right also. Nine holes with cart is about $40.
This place is a must! The staff, namely Hillary, Donald and Braeden, are passionate about what they do and they truly went the extra mile to welcome us. The food is amazing too 😊
Very nice course, had a good 18 hole game, staff very good, helpful and food good
It is a well maintained challenging 9 hilw. course. A nice distraction in the North
Nice place for breakfast.
My favourite course on the North Shore of Superior.
