Before coming to Newfoundland I had read that King’s Point Pottery was one of the best places to build local Newfoundland art and crafts. So we made sure to build a stop into our road trip. It was 100% worth the small detour from the highway. The place is beautiful and the collection of artisans they present is impressive. I loved all the glass and pottery pieces, and wanted to walk away with so many items. The fiber works pieces were stunning, and the person who was there was so welcoming and informative. I’m so glad we came here and would highly recommend it.
Beautiful and artistic pieces shown and sold inside. Go take a look
Beautiful and unique items that I haven’t seen anywhere else. The owner is friendly and able to answer questions about the artists.
Gorgeous so many wonderful gifts and keepsakes... Worth the drive.... Could spend the day in the area.
What a beautiful shop with lots of unique things as well as a lovely cat. Highly recommend this place as it has something for everyone and the staff is so kind. :)
Had the amazing experience getting to travel to Newfoundland to visit an old friend in Springdale and she took me all around the area stopping here at along the way. Found this neat magnetic block and I really wish I had bought a second one. I use it to stack magnetic coins at work for entertainment and it's really proven to be a great conversation starter, especially when I tell them how unique and far away it came from!
Clean, organized, well laid out shop but rather expensive. Totally understandable given the area and some of the items but definitely on the higher side. The lady working the front cash was quiet, didn’t overly interact and seemed to be a person of little words but either way was not rude or unkind. The view from the shop is impeccable and overlooks the beautiful mountains, water and private wharfs. Overall a very kitschy common souvenir shop atmosphere. Would go again.
So many beautiful items. Love the cat at the door!

Amazing display.Very popular...over 100 busses per season. Many international tourists.
Nice little museum. Lots of information.
Very interesting place, "guided" tour was informative. It's just the whale inside the building but it was still a cool stop. Your tickets are also good for the heritage house just down the street.
Overall it's nice little place. But you see it all in the picture too be honest but in order to go to another museum you buy the ticket here so might as well enjoy cost is five dollars. There's wifi. Bathrooms are fine too.
Kind of a cool little place. Small though so don't expect it to take a lot of time. There was a scavenger hunt there that kept the kiddos entertained for a bit.
It was nice to pay respect to Nova the 36 year old humpback whale ✨️
We drove out of our way to see and it was Closed!
Very small. Not really worth the 30 minute diversion unless you intend to stay for lunch at the local eatery or rent a cottage. Cute little town.

This is a great trail. It's a 6-mile round trip, and the 2200 wooden steps will definitely give your legs a workout. The views at the top are amazing!
Yup, there are 2200 stairs, lol. Great trail. We were there during low/shoulder season so the gift shop was not open. Some of the stairs were in need of repair but we were able to reach the summit no problem. If you are afraid of heights as I am just take your time. It is cool climbing a mountain and getting above the treeline for a fantastic view of the surrounding area. We were able to see our first iceberg in the bay. Great experience.
Beautiful trail, well marked and (somewhat) maintained. Some areas are a little grown-in and boardwalks need a little TLC. Highly recommend doing the loop in the counterclockwise direction (turn right at the fork), makes for a more enjoyable hike (not as steep). The mini trail down to the waterfall is over 200 steps and worth the climb down and back up! We took our swimsuits and took a dip :) This extra trail is perfect when coming back down the main trail, it would have been much harder doing it if we had taken the clockwise direction. LOVE this trail. I would consider this trail hard for most (but moderate for the experienced hiker).
One of the most challenging we did (with our kids), views at top are beautiful! We hiked clockwise, that way it steeper on the way up and you get nice views on the way down. Don't bother taking walking sticks, too narrow. Don't give up on the waterfall! It worth the extra 200 stairs....
A great hike! I took me a little over three hours with time to chat with other friendly hikers at the summit. It is strenuous - Strava recorded 5.46 miles and 1253' elevation gain. Is that moderate or hard for you? You decide. It is a popsicle stick path with a straight trail leading to the loop over the mountain. The office has a worthwhile map for you to take as well as water, snacks, and souvenirs. Amazing views.
Great hike. 2200+ steps take you to fantastic views and awesome waterfalls. Good workout for your level of choice.
Incredible hike, I can understand why people from all over the world make sure to hike it when they are in Newfoundland. And SO much work went into building it, make sure to stop in and see photos of it being constructed over years. A helicopter was used to being lumber to the top sections for stairs, walkways and lookouts. I got myself a T-shirt at the small shop there.
This was a tough long hike but worth it !!! Did not count the steps after 1 I lost count ..
