Great experience with Andre and Alex. Did the 1/2 day tour which was a perfect amount of time given the temperature. Met at 9am at Andre’s house, met the dogs, got a safety brief and signed some waivers, then watched Alex and Andre load the dogs up for a short drive to the entrance of the trails where the sleds were unloaded and set up. Before we left the house, Andre and Alex convinced us to rent some boots (5$ a pair) which was very fortunate. If your boots don’t have insulated soles, your feet are going to freeze so just rent the boots. It’s very cheap and will let you enjoy the ride way more. Trail was great and we did about a 15km loop with Andre in a lead sleigh, and Alex bringing up the back. I was with my gf and had originally wanted our own sleigh, but we ended up sharing which I prefer now looking back at it. The dogs are strong and the extra weight helps you control them, PLUS it’s fun to be able to chat as a couple while you do the sleigh ride, would have been slightly lonely on my own sleigh!!! Switched “driver” halfway through and we both had no problem controlling the sleigh. I was a little hesitant going into the trip due to some of the comments I’d seen so I will just speak on that quickly too. Some people have commented about negative attitudes in the guiding, but this wasn’t a problem in any way on our trip. Andre is literally just a really nice guy with interesting stories to tell about his dogs and business and if you’re interested in what you’re doing he’s gonna be interested in sharing it with you. Alex was very helpful to show us how to harness up the dogs and kept us on track and on schedule for what we were doing. They are both direct in what they say and I guess I can see how some people could take that personally but their intentions are clearly good and for the clients to share in an experience that they enjoy.
What a beautiful experience!! André, the owner and our guide showed us his much achieved experience with dog sledding, his love for his dogs and the love of the sport. André, enthusiastic, funny and so welcoming, made us feel part of the “gang” right away!!. André educated us on the dogs, the sport and the respect of his animals. As horse owners, we understood right away how important this is, in this type of ride! Thank you André (and your employees) for this beautiful adventure!! Loved it!! Manon et Luc ❤️
(Translated by Google) Great day! We were there from about 9am to 3pm and the experience was very pleasant. André is super friendly and his dogs are powerful and listens extremely well. Never need to raise your voice on dogs, they listen in a normal voice. A great course that allows you to appreciate the landscape and have small challenges. We each had our own sled and it was as we wanted. We were able to fully enjoy the experience and recommend it.

(Translated by Google) March 2022 Saturday, it's stormy, and we have a meeting with André and his dogs. A daylong dog sledding trip with "Descente Malbaie" in the Charlevoix backcountry. Warmly welcomed by André and his teammate Alex, we are prepared for the winter experience we are about to experience and then introduced to the pack of dogs. Magnificent beasts who only want to drag us along with them. The trip takes place in a friendly atmosphere and in the total complicity of the guide and his dogs. Throughout the day, we feel the love and respect that master André has for his dogs and their loyalty to him. The landscape is majestic, and our sled glides silently over a carpet of immaculate whiteness. Thank you, André and Alex, for this exciting experience, which will surely not be the last. (Translated by Google) A visit not to be missed. First of all, to hear and learn about the profession and life of loggers with a former logger who is fascinating and very friendly. He also wants his museum to be a living place so children (and parents) can touch and climb aboard the machines!! In short, don't hesitate to go and visit and make a donation to keep this museum alive! (Original) Une visite à ne pas rater. Beautiful Falls! A must see when driving the Gaspe Peninsula Loop. While you're at it, hike down below to get a perspective of how high the falls actually is. Awesome place during fall season as well, we visited here Oct. 2019
Great experience, our guide Marianne was friendly, knowledgeable and had a great approach with my son who is a bit afraid of heights. The site is gorgeous and the via ferrata is fun. The zipline is really fun
The waterfall is very beautiful (especially with the amount of water we had on our visit). The lookout platform is amazing! The path to go down is very well kept with 200+ steps and some benches for taking breaks. About 2 min walk to the lookout and a few more going down the stairs.
Great place to visit. There are nice picnic tables for a quick picnic. I did not mountain bike but I think it would be a nice place to ride. We hiked to the bottom of the falls. It was a very well maintained trail with a combination of stairs and step features. The glass floor and over look were very nice. It moves when people walked on it so it’s a little frightening. But provides great views. Definietly recommended a stop here if you are near this area.
Beautiful spot only a 2 minute walk from parking lot. About 5 minutes off the highway, definitely worth the spot. Breath taking views! It’s also free and they have water stations and bathrooms :)
Great place to stop if in the area or passing through! Great view of the waterfall on a cool lookout platform. Small/medium parking lot but there was no one there when I went (end of sept).
Really cool stop along our tour of the Gaspésie Peninsula! We heard about this place, and although it's about 10 mins off the main highway, we thought it was absolutely worth it! There didn't seem to be an admission to get in to walk on the elevated platform (shocking!), which was really cool! We did the staircase hike down to the base of the waterfall, which was rather steep and angled intensely---not for those with reduced mobility or difficulties! The rocks at the bottom of the falls are jagged and slippery (obviously!), so be cautious with children and dogs! BATHROOMS CLOSED DUE TO COVID!
It was worth the detour! We saw signs and followed them. This natural site was of the beaten path but we are happy we took the trip. A beautiful waterfall with a stream running away from it greets you at the bottom of a relatively steep walk down. There are stopping points which are definitely more useful on the way back up. Lots of parking, it’s free, but watch out for bees nearby.
