It's a beautiful drive across whether it's day or night !! The sunset is extremely beautiful from the bridge , I had the opportunity to visit the base of the bridge on my ATV , all I can say is look at the pictures!! All from the PEI side of the bridge!!
so cool to finally cross this amazing engineering marvel. It is the longest bridge in the world that crosses ice-covered water. A very unique 13km drive.
Amazing bridge with the length about 12 kms. to PEI. But I feel the photos that take from the light house will be more beautiful than going on the bridge.
The longest bridge we’d ever drove on. What a beautiful bridge, the view from the side is incredible! Stopped in a grabbed some bridge souvenirs at the visitor centre on the PEI side
Felt great after having a look of this beautiful bridge last weekend on our trip to maritimes from toronto. Must visit place once in a lifetime ❤️
The Confederation Bridge is definitely quite the sight. Standing at 12.9 km, this is the longest bridge in Canada and arguably one of the most scenic as well. I’ve taken both the ferry and the bridge to P.E.I and this is so much more scenic and beautiful. Even on a weekend and with construction on the bridge, it wasn’t that busy at all. Even when traffic got heavy, the views made it worth it. The only reason I docked a star off this review is because of the toll you have to pay on the way out of the island. You pay a $50 toll for a car which is kind of insane. For visitors and tourists it may not be so bad for a one time thing, but from what I understand, even residents of P.E.I have to pay the same $50 toll every time they leave which seems very unfair. All in all, it’s a very scenic way of getting to P.E.I and is a nice experience. Not bad for a once in a lifetime kinda of thing.
First time on the Island PEI ! Definitely recommend it ! The beaches are beautiful, I would recommend going to the provincial park... Cows Ice-cream store ! We went to Fin Folk restaurant, AMAZING 👏 fresh sea food platter and smash burgers ! The view is amazing.. the tide was going out at the time we were there! Saw a crab trying to burrow in the wet sand !
I'am sorry to say I wanted to drive over it but my wife said no way when we got within 500mts. Extraordinary engineering fete , beautiful bridge. $20 return fee. So we ended up driving down to the ferry south of Truro which was a great 75mins. Return cost was $45, had lunch aboard.

A must see! You can admire the confederation bridge from very close and safely (even go under it). It is also possible to see a lot of fauna (birds). There is a 1.5.track to the lighthouse (gravel), easy to walk, no elevation. There is also a gift shop/restaurant/restrooms. The ice cream is AMAZING! you can eat it at the back of the building on a small wood terrace among the forest. The price is low (10$ for a car).
Do not miss this stop before the Confederation Bridge! There is a $10 fee to visit this non-profit gem! They have hiking trails, a lighthouse, a lookout tower, a museum with historic information and a beautiful beach. They also have food and ice cream on site. You couldn't ask for a more beautiful place to take pictures of the bridge. Additionally, they have picnic tables to enjoy. It's a great spot!!
The entry is 10$ per car but it is a non profit organisation. For that you can overlook the confederation bridge and walk under it. Visit the beach, gift shop and museum, take the Trail to the lighthouse (it says 45min walk but it took us approximately 20-30min, it’s not that far) I would recommend going there before you enter PEI if you have enough time to visit the whole place. The museum is lovely and gives a good overview of the history of PEI and its nature. If you just want a quick stop to take a pic of the bridge you can do that from PEI aswell.
Great hidden gem in New Brunswick. I went on a road trip from Kitchener, ON to Charlottetown, PE and enjoyed visiting many landmarks on the road, however Cape Jourimain was not part of the trip, until I searched for a good spot to view and take some pictures of the confederation bridge, that’s how I found Cape Jourimain and as I arrived I was delighted by the amount of info and history available at Cape Jourimain plus the great scenery for the area around, the Confederation bridge and the light house. Really a great place to visit, I highly recommend it.
What a beautiful lighthouse with an easy 15 minute walk to get there. It is even wheel chair accessible. Great views of the Confederation Bridge and a beautiful beach.
It’s a best place to view the federation bridge. You can walk under the bridge and view from both sides. There is clean restroom, nice bakery, light house, museum, beach and more importantly- friendly staffs. Highly recommended for a break in and out PEI.
Interpretation centre for local wildlife focusing on bird migrations. Multiple little trails with lookouts and views of the confederation bridge. Easy little trails Moderate pricing at $10 per vehicle.
This place is beautiful. An important environmental reserve with an amazing view of the Confederation Bridge. Make the stop, you will not be disappointed!
