Musuem wasn't open but the trail was awesome!
The surrounding area of the Musée de la Gare is absolutely stunning! The staff/workers inside are not very knowledgeable. But the walking path beside the museum is really beautiful though. The views are breathtaking. Even if you're just visiting, I would definitely recommend taking a stroll on the path, it's an easy hike. If you get hungry, the food truck ~La Boite à Lunch~ just might be parked beside the building.
Musee not open but falls/ chutes and walkway awesome. Tres beau.
Beautiful rapids and waterfall! Nice, easy, and cool hike.
Staff not well trained, unhelpful
Lots of cool local history

What do you want from a national park? Beautiful trails? Nicely located campsites? Spotless washrooms? Amazing staff? Different activities for families? This park has it all and even more! They have a very good-looking park office too! Pack your bags and give this place a visit. Thank me later.
We booked two nights at one of the ready-to-camp sites and drove all the way from Ottawa. Unfortunately, due to poor signage on the highway and roads, we missed the park entrance and got lost, especially since there's no phone reception in the area. However, once we arrived, I found the campsite to be clean and well-maintained, with a beautiful view, great hiking trails, stunning waterfalls, and excellent spots for stargazing. The site was well-equipped with dishes, beds, firewood, a fireplace, and a bench, which made for a comfortable stay. The only downside was the lack of shower facilities, which would have been appreciated, especially for longer stays. I would recommend to the management of the park to improve its signage, provide clearer directions for campsite guests early in advance on how to access campsites, and ensure there is after-hours staff available to assist with any issues.
This park is fantastic. The facilities are stunning, the views are amazing. The campsites are well spaced out and private, the trails impeccably maintained, the staff are friendly and helpful. The historical interpretation is extremely well done. The short hike to the Grande Chute waterfall is not to be missed. This is an absolutely terrific park and campground. Mobile reception at the campground was not useable, but frankly it was nice to unplug for a weekend. We will be back.
A nice quiet little park with good trails. We really enjoyed being here.
This is definitely a hidden gem. We spent a week here and loved every minute. The sites were a little close together in some spots but luckily we didn't have neighbors most of the time. Everyone was very quiet and respectful and didn't hear any noise the entire 7 days. We were in dog free and appreciated that option. No listening to dogs bark all day and night like in Ontario parks. The staff was always so friendly and helpful, especially since I don't speak a lot of French. I loved the use of re usable wood carry bags, this is something we don't see in Ontario parks. The facilities were kept in pristine clean condition and everything was just amazing.
I had the privilege of walking through Opemican National park Awesome scenery, giant white pines and beautiful Lake Timiskaming.this camp ground has a wide variety of different services The parc national d'Opémican is a provincial park of Quebec located south of Abitibi-Témiscamingue, between Laniel and Témiscaming. The park is 252 kilometres in size and was established on 19 December 2013. It ensures the protection of the characteristic landscape of the Southern Laurentians
Fantastic Campground, lots of trails, well kept better than some of the campgrounds on Ontario side, because here public washrooms are spotless. I'd recommend 💯 %
Wow, a hidden gem. Clean and modern washrooms, a park office out of an architectural magazine, some great hiking, and the best tasting water in the world!
