Loved this experience! We did the zip line and ATV tour. Our zip line guides were wonderful and it was a blast. They were always pointing out monkeys or iguanas or beautiful plants. The ATV tour was an adventure. If you want a relaxing tour, not for you. Our guide was great, took us to a waterfall and also pointing out the scenery. Probably my favorite part was the capuchin monkeys! No animals in cages and the guides showed us how to gently entice them to come close and they were adorable.
This place was definitely a highlight of our trip. We did the 10 course ziplining, the animal sanctuary, horseback riding and the 2 hour ATV tour all in one day. All of these activities were amazing and the staff in each and every one of them was super sweet, welcoming, informative and friendly. I was worried the horses or the animals in the animal sanctuary would not be treated properly like in many other tourist attractions, but luckily they seem happy and the staff actually care. The monkeys are hilarious and the horses are stunning. The ziplining was super fun, the area was beautiful and it was nice it moved smoothly so you didn’t have to wait too long for other people behind or in front of you. The ATVs ride was surprisingly relaxing. I thought it would be 2 hours of a bumpy ride. While it certainly has some bumpy parts where you go through water and uphill or downhill, the ATVs are strong so it doesn’t feel scary or take a lot of work. We rented one for the both of us and swapped being the driver. Loved it. Beautiful area. The only thing I wish they had was more food. They have a convenience store with chips and snacks, but no substantive food. For people who spend hours there it would be nice if they sold even just simple egg sandwiches or cheese sandwiches. They would sell out. So I suggest you pack some food if you will be there hours.
Went with my 8 year old twin boys and they loved it. We did the zip lining and a tour of the sanctuary and every one loved it. The zip lines guides were awesome and we got to see lots of animals in the sanctuary
Really enjoyed the Zip Line. One zip line is over 1000ft long. Lots of water along the way. There is a significant uphill walk mid way. Take your time. Visited in off season and only took a little over an hour. Excellent guide team.
Great place for some adventuring! We had the best time zip lining, driving ATVs, and riding horses. Highly recommended! Both Jordys, Adrian, and the rest of the staff whose names we unfortunately can’t remember were great, we will be back again!
If you want an ATV adventure—this is for you! Our amazing tour guide, AJ, guided us through all the trails and rivers and even took us to a waterfall along the way. Book this tour today! You won’t be disappointed.
This is only bassed on the animal visit.. we didn't do any other activities.. $10 per person to see animals for 5 min.. I understand these are saved animals, but make it better living conditions for them. Not worth going and just seeing the animals. Its very very small and expensive for what you get to see.
My partner and I did the forest and beach horse back ride with lunch at Father Rooster. The experience was fantastic. The experience began with a brief explanation as to the mission of Th e Monkey Farm by one of the guides. After that we were paired up with a horse and given directions on how to ride. We went through the forest where we DID see monkeys and our guide described his experience and why he is at the Monkey Farm. We rode through the forest and down onto Ocotal Beach where we had a fantastic lunch at Father Rooster before riding on the beach. There was no rush and we were free to ride up and down the beach a few times. We returned to the Monkey Farm where the guys watered down the horses and fed them. A very memorable day and highly recommended.
