Island
Nature & Parks
Laid-back, picturesque island known for its quiet sandy beaches, swimming & water sports.
Slide 1 of 8
This small island offers a fantastic escape with a pristine beach. Boat rides take around 20-45 minutes, depending on your starting point, and are very affordable. A small entry fee applies, but it's budget-friendly. Perfect for groups, families, and friends, Mbudya boasts clean waters ideal for swimming. You'll find restaurants and drinks on-site, but feel free to bring your own. Rent beach beds and shades for a small fee. I loved watching the sunset while swimming – a truly memorable experience. While there's no accommodation, you can likely stay late. Highly recommended!
My favourite island in the world. I have been visiting this place since year 2000 and has remained my favourite . Clear blue water and food is amazing. I ❤️ Mbudya and always have a great time !
Cool place to go for one day. First, we got to the Slipway Hotel, there's a stand that organizes boat rides to both Bongoyo and Mbudya Islands. Payment for the natural reserve entrance is made via credit card (around 18 USD/person), while the boat ride fare is paid in cash directly to the captain (40,000 Tsh/person). The boat typically departs around 9:30 AM and requires a minimum of six passengers. However, on our visit on a Sunday, we were around 20-25 people. The boat first dropped off some passengers at Bongoyo before taking us to Mbudya. Mbudya Island is well-organized and welcoming. Upon arrival, the staff inquired about our lunch preferences (primarily fish) and drinks. They were very accommodating and friendly, though vegetarian options were limited to salad. Prices are reasonable, and the overall experience is pleasant. The island also features security personnel who monitor the waters. For activities, there's a spot for beach volleyball, and snorkeling gear is available for those interested in exploring the underwater world. Overall, Mbudya Island offers a well-rounded day trip with good food, friendly staff, and some activities to keep you entertained. Swimming in the Indian ocean is an absolute delight !
Want aplace to chill , with diferent sports such as volleball, drinks as cococnut jice, natural fruits soda and other, with a big fish , aaah, prawns and more , then this is the place ... personally i love swimming but people that love ship cruizing , then that your place check it out , be on holliday or your free time,. the only thing that messed me up was the food service was slow but the food quality wwas good all in all it sure desesrves a 5 star.
Very nice sea view and the Zanzibar ferry way
It's really amazing there!!! Although the price to visit there is expensive but it worths so much if you just have only few days to spend in Dar Es Salaam. For me, I spent 20000tsh for the boat and 41000tsh for marine reserves entrance fee(I'm not sure if I was chatted), and I got the wonderful feeling of living in a small island in Indian Ocean. It's definitely amazing for me a person who grew in cities since I was borned. I will highly recommend every foreigner to visit there because it will make your Tanzania's trip unforgettable!!
POSITIVITY: Great island.... Good place to hang out and have fun with family, friends. Make sure to take a speaker with you if you are with some vibing crew! But whatsoever, it's also a great place to meditate and breathe. Food and drinks are also allowed to carry with. But yet, the island offers food for cost. The island is so clean(haven't seen shells around, can't know why.... GOD'S CREATION 😇😍) The waters reflect the sky then turn blue, sometimes waters turn into light green because of the sea vegetation ,BEAUTIFUL VIEW❤️ Visiting hours are from 1200hours to 1800hours. GOVERNMENT CHARGES: 6,000 for students WITH THE ID 12,000 for non-students NEGATIVITY: I just wonder why we pay charges for the island and yet, someone has to pay AGAIN for the hut to accomodate(around 15,000)and still pay for a table and chairs(15,000 again) .... SMH! 😑 The washrooms are not that clean, neither have enough water to accommodate visitors around.
Dar's own mini zanzibar paradise. Beautiful island just off the city coast, with several hotels offering boat rides to the island (reasonably priced), the ride is around 30 minutes with the small boats, the main beach is clean, the water is clear. It can get a bit crowded on weekends. There is another beach on the other side of the island, acvessible by walking through a forest path, its usually quiet with few or no people, but it is sometimes littered with plastic from the city and nearby zanzibar, sad that pollution all the way from zanzibar reaches these beautiful paradises. You can pay for the beach bandas(huts), or beach mats, but recently they have been fewer available. All in all, wonderful relaxation.

Lovely little island, very peaceful. Beautiful clean beach/water. Would highly recommended going for a nice chill day where you can relax/sunbathe/swim. 30 min boat ride from slipway (walk past all the restaurants and the office is on the right). Boat left at 9:30am, only 7 of us on the boat/island all day. 30,000 tsh for the boat, $17.70 entry onto the island which I think is a bit steep but hey. 10,000 for sunbed. Can bring your own food or order food there. Only downside was I had to leave with everyone else at 14:30 instead of 17:00 as there wasn’t enough of us to run two boats.
To escape the busy life of city, enjoy this serene time with family here. Make sure you have your own food as the food here is expensive. But yeah it was tasty. And umbrella and the bed are on rent. They are not for us voluntarily. All over good place. Id you are geared up you can hike into the island woods.
If you are Dar es Salaam you look for nice beach, to getaway from chaos city of Dar es Salaam, Bongoyo is place to be, it is only 20 minutes away from Slipway Msasani, Boat ticket is $10 and Marine Park fees is $10 for non-Tanzania, but for Tanzanian is only $ 10 for both Boat ticket and Marine Park fees this apply for adult. But the age of 5-14 years old it free. The main food in Bongoyo is Sea Food. And you can get all drinks you want there.
If you are looking to escape the hectic city and crowded spaces then this is the place for you. The island is nice to take a walk across but make sure you have someone with you. There is ok sea food and drinks. The water is beautiful. It is important to know that everyone who works on the island is a volunteer that works to preserve this uninhabited island. They do so without a salary and rely on the food and drink business as well as rent of tents, chairs and beds. Kudos to them for doing such great conservation work.
This island is truly a great place to escape from the city! There is a boat from Slipway (30k return / 27k government fee) running 09:30am (every 1h) and takes about 30min (depending on sea conditions). There is a restaurant on the island, serving tasty food (payable in cash or by card). This was a great trip – highly recommended! (Only goes with 4+ people)
A genuine beauty of the nature as it is. Lush greenery, clear turquoise water, white sand. Quiet and peaceful island for a calm day retreat. Not much of activities apart from swimming, sun tanning and walking around, but if that is what you are looking for, go for it. There are some sunbeds and shades, one or two restaurants as well as washrooms. Everything is simple, yet enjoyable.
Great location to visit and relax. Very few people, very quiet and the staff are friendly. Limited options for food and drinks though local and imported beers are available. You’ll have to rent the amenities though, about 50,000 TZS in total for food, drinks and basic rentals. Great for a day visit.
beatiful natural island, very simple services, about 30 min by boat from the ferry pic up point, 27,140 + 30,000 Tsh for ferry & entrance fee

The Tanzania National Museum and House of Culture is a treasure trove of history and heritage. My visit was a truly enriching experience—wandering through its galleries felt like traveling through time. I was lucky to have a guided tour, which brought the stories behind the artifacts to life with so much clarity and passion. From displays on human evolution and colonial history to the celebration of Tanzanian art, music, and culture, every section had something that sparked curiosity. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the layout made exploring easy and enjoyable. It’s definitely a spot that offers both education and inspiration, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dar es Salaam.
It is a great place to see the history of Tanzania. Sadly, they are not preserving the historical things better. The beautiful cars, monuments to US bombing and other artefacts are falling apart and unkempt. With repairs, attention to cleaning, direction signs, background music etc this place could be a hit.
When we visited this place on a Saturday afternoon the only other people were a couple of young ladies and a large group of school children. The museum is a large building that seemed a bit rundown but well ventilated with the rooms quite cool. The exhibits are spread across different rooms with the items being described quite well in Swahili and English. There are different rooms with the exhibits separated according to categories. There is an entry fee which is based upon the identity of the visitors; e.g.Adult foreigners are charged @TZS 15,300 per person. Great place to visit and enhance your knowledge of the country and other things 👍 P.S.: There is a gift/souvenir shop at the entrance well stocked with various items available for purchase.
If you want to see a little bit about history of Tanzania, this museum is best choice for a city tour in Dar es salaam.
This museum offers visitors the chance to first explore human progress through evolution and then move on to the history of Tanzania. You can see the bones of extinct animals as well as traces of early human beings. However, the building itself is quite old and not well maintained.
For those interested in history, this museum offers a wonderful opportunity to explore and learn about the rich history of Tanzania. It’s an enriching experience that highlights the diversity and heritage of the country.
It was interesting and the exhibits were interesting. It was very hot.
Im a pretty big history geek, ila the majority of exhibitions may be lackluster but a great place none the less. Great for introverts as well rarely filled

It was really wonderful experience with great view and journey of nearly an hour in beautiful sea.
I love the ferry experience. The charge is $35. The place is very chaotic, with lots of people trying to help you. They're pretty punctual, and the seats are comfortable
Amazing Ferry services. It would be great if All EAC Citizens would get the same rates as Tanzania Citizens to access the ferry!! - VIP and VVIP bookings would be very high Great services, Clean Ferry!
Boats are very shaky (not recommended for people get sea sick). The VIP had no views of the water but serve drinks and food. If your a tourist don't let people help you they lower your experience for tips and make you feel like your rushing... they harass you for tips even after a generous tips, you need to be assertive to them. The overall experience is nice but I think after all the hassel your best bet is to take a flight ✈️ and take it once for the experience.
Wonderful adventure with Kilimanjaro Jetty, another level 💯 of appreciating God's creative power in the ocean.
Great experience please take motion sickness meds also if you can afford travel in VIP class
The ferry service between Dares Salaam and Zanzibar Island.... the strong wind may caused the Passengers become seasick.....
You have a very nice vessels but you need to a means of ensuring customers are able to provide feedback. Your receptionist at the VIP needs to learn all languages showing care and respect.

Beautiful, peaceful. Coco Beach is a must-visit!
Best public beach yet! The guys selling costumes and the rubber tube floaties were very kind and helpful. Their rates are also very affordable... Our clothes, shoes etc were all safe and we had a full day of fun and left late evening. We even had a boat ride which is charged according to no. Of people and distance covered. Not all food is fresh so I would recommend carrying your own bitings and only buy drinks. The fries from the food vendors were OK. If you go with kids, have some cash aside for buying the various things being hawked like balloons, toys, bubbles, etc. Weekdays are less busy than weekends. Highly recommend
I did not see much beach facilities at this beachfront and it seems this is the best beach in Dar es Salaam (unless I was at the wrong side). It's a beautiful beach in itself and very busy with a lot of restaurants and lounges. I love the waves and breeze here.
White sands beach...excellent location, and great for swimming and fish😋
What a nice place to relax, enjoying the surf and watching the ships queueing to dock whilst you wait for your Agent clear your goods... Ehm, what about that? The Cocoa ⛱️ Beach at Oyster Bay!!!
The beach is beautiful. There is lots available to eat and accessories. There is an interesting sea shell place. I prefer to find my own which is possible if you have time and are lucky. The water is warm. The beach is rocky depending on tide. I chilled in the shallows uneasy but Definitely bring along your beach shoes or buy from the locals who want to sell you these. they will sell you on it as there they can find you sea urchins that are present. Prices may vary on all services. They will also try to sell you a shaded place. I always feel someone wants to sell you something and wont be left alone to swim. there is transport available from the beach. There often is broken bottles around but they dont seem to be dangerous. overall a great time out.

Had a great time at Kunduchi Water Park! The slides are fun for both kids and adults, the pools are clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a perfect place for a family outing or a fun day with friends. The food options could be improved a bit, but overall, it was a memorable experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to relax and enjoy some water fun in Dar es Salaam...
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – A Perfect Day of Fun and Exceptional Service! we visited on 06/25 with my family, I had an absolutely amazing experience at wet n wild! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make sure our day was smooth, safe, and full of fun. The customer service here is truly exceptional — every staff member we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and genuinely seemed to enjoy their job. The park itself is clean, well-maintained, and full of exciting attractions for all ages. Whether you’re into high-speed slides, or splash zones for the little ones, there’s something for everyone. Lines were surprisingly well-managed, and there were lifeguards stationed everywhere, which made us feel very safe throughout the day. What stood out the most was the level of care and attention from the staff. From assisting with lockers to helping us find the perfect spot for our family to relax, they made us feel valued and taken care of. Even the food service staff were cheerful and efficient, and the food was much better than expected for a theme park. Highly recommend this park to anyone looking for a fun and worry-free day out with family or friends. Exceptional service like this is rare — we’ll definitely be coming back! Asanteni sana for the amazing service!!
We had a wonderful experience at Wild Water Park! Our children had a fantastic time enjoying the attractions, and the staff were incredibly helpful. When one of our kids lost his eyeglasses, we reached out to management two days later—and they kindly assisted us in retrieving them from the Lost and Found. Their professionalism and care truly made a difference. Highly recommended for family fun and great service!
Great place to take kids of all ages, lots of slides and areas to play in. The service from Sabrina was amazing, she made sure we had a great time. Recommended.
Truly wonderful place for kids and adults alike to chill out and enjoy a sunny Sunday
It's a great place to go with family, you can meet different people and make friends as well as exchange ideas and also leave any thoughts you have. All in all just go it's a great place
I was in Kunduchi Yesterday and I really enjoyed it.Its actually wet and wild it's not just a name.I would recommend anyone visiting Tanzania-Dar. It was was. 👌

It was a very educational tour. We had a guide who took us around and guided us through the different traditions and houses built back then in Tanzanian villages. The tour ends with a performance from a dance group. It was well worth the visit.
I didn’t expect the museum to be in such good condition. The building looks as if it was constructed just a month ago, and the paths around the village are well maintained. However, the informational boards all need to be renewed, and the ticket counter definitely needs a printer. I was surprised they're still trying to charge the entrance fee in USD.
It’s a unique museum that introduces visitors to Tanzanian tribes and their way of life. You can see different types of traditional tribal houses, and with the help of a local guide, you can learn more detailed information about them. However, one thing to be aware of is that people often expect payment for almost everything, which is a common experience in Africa.
For those interested in history and culture, this outdoor museum offers a wonderful opportunity to explore and learn about the traditional lifestyles of various Tanzanian tribes. It’s an enriching experience that highlights the diversity and heritage of the country.
Not a very hot spot to visit in Tanzania, an old museum with mostly pictures not art works or old objects. Majority of the halls are just filled with pictures of Politicians and history of Tanzania and America friendship. There are 4 old cars, 2 Rolls Royce and another Mercedes Benz belonging to government showcased in the open area. In another corner in open area is the memorial of US embassy bombing thats interesting to read the story. I was expecting to a section for Tanzania wildlife, tribal life and evolution of human in Africa that you unfortunately cant find any related topic regarding this there.
Tells about different houses of different tribes around this region. The Hakuna Matata Dance is also awesome.
Nice spectacle, friendly guide and respect & smiling people (even they work hard).
They charge 12000 Tanzanian shillings (about $5-$6) entry fee. I am glad I came! After I registered, there was no guide available at the time, so I started off solo and decided to finish off solo (a guide offered!). They had leaflets where you could read what you were looking at (some were not translated to English. Just Swahili) you could enter the houses. Take pictures and take videos. There is a performance if you are interested and a place to buy souvenirs. There is also a chill restaurant on site to rest before planning the rest of your day! All in all I had a good experience!! No need to buy tickets ahead of time. There is no wait to get in and I recommend this for a cultural experience as it tells you about the some of the different tribes in the country, how they live, what they farm/grow and what kind of houses they live in!

Very nice place, with many shops and restaurants, jewelry shops, there is also a kids play area.. family friendly place to hang out and enjoy.. there is also a hotel.. plenty of eateries with different types of cuisine, from Japanese to Continental and Mediterranean cuisines..
There’s a wide range of restaurants and cafes serving quality food, with options to suit different tastes. The area is well-maintained, clean, and feels very safe, making it a comfortable place to spend time. The shops offer a good mix of local crafts, souvenirs, and boutique items, many of which are unique and well-crafted. The service throughout—whether in restaurants, shops, or at the jetty—is friendly and professional. It’s also a convenient starting point for boat trips and other local excursions. Whether visiting for a meal, a bit of shopping, or just to enjoy the atmosphere, Slipway is definitely worth including in any visit to Dar es Salaam.
Awesome place for a night out with live music bands and a lot of cafes/bars, tourists from across the world, a great view and souvenir shopping as well. For shopping you can buy clothes, fridge magnets, wood work, paintings, hats, necklace, t-shirts, showpieces etc This place is behind the slipway hotel and crowded at night, so better grab your seats otherwise it's a long long wait or maybe you wont even get a place to sit. And yes do order your food in time as these cafes run out of food in no time but u will still get your beer. Cheers
There's something truly magical about taking a walk here at sunset. The vibrant colors of the sky create a breathtaking backdrop, making every step feel like a step into a painting. It's the perfect way to unwind and soak in the beauty of nature as day turns to night.
Children can play at the playground while parents shop, drink, dine or enjoy a sundowner while watching the sun set over the Indian Ocean. Dine in style, relax in comfort, go shopping or take it easy, all conveniently at one venue.
Great place to sit and relax and enjoy the sunset. Or get into the ferry to visit the surrounding islands.
Wonderful Location, great Restaurants and pleasant atmosphere
At The Waterfront. Watched the sun set whilst drinking cocktails. Had a great meal with friends. This is a great bolt hole in Dar offering great service a pleasant relaxing atmosphere.

This place has a wide variety of fish, even the weird ones! 😀 Take a stroll along the coast and you’ll get a glimpse of the vehicles.
This place may be a bit chaotic and filled with the distinct aroma of fish, but the sheer power of the sights and people will leave you awestruck.
Fun place to see loads of fish and meet with locals. You can watch the auctions and buy fish for your self. Also there is a really nice kitchen where you can get great fishsoup 😍
Fantastic selection of incredible seafood. Get there early and don't wear your best shoes.
Lots and lots of fish. Hard bargaining, sometimes cheating. You have to park your car at the outside parking area. The market is generally wet and messy. Don't get excited buying anything you see before you bargain. Everyone will come and show you what they have, it can get overwhelming sometimes. Be sure you bargain to a price you think is right. You can also have your fish cleaned and cut as you like at cheap rates. Beware of pickpockets. Wear easy footwear.
Nice local market ,good to visit
Traditional fish market, where a big diversity of fishes are chopped and cut on spot. Of course, no hygiene measures are taken, but I guess the locals' immune system is already used to the conditions. As for tourists, I would not recommend fish consumption from the market :)
Very friendly people and lots of fresh seafood

Wonderful public beach with a jazz band on Sundays. Great for a leisurly relaxed outdoor afternoon in the sand. Children will love it too, with a children's swimming pool and play area, besides the Sandy beach.
Enjoyed the cozy evening at this place. It was quiet, with a sea breeze and enjoying a very private time. It was nice being there and you could see the city from afar. Prices are a bit high but affordable and you could stay there and be lost in the beauty of the city.
Kick off the shoes and enjoy a drink on the beach with good views. The pool is too small and doesn't look so clean. Be on the lookout for Maasai guards who are always on the hound for a tip
Prices for food and drinks are reasonable comparing to other hotels on the beach, Its a perfect place to do some beach activities like; Beach Volleyball, Beach Soccer etc. But the place looks old and in need of some renovation.
Great place for volleyball (especially if you're on the CDI WaSH team). A beautiful beach with a beautiful view of the sunset. The club has amazing live music, a pool and a children's bouncy castle. Food and drinks are available but pretty expensive. Just be sure not to go too far along the beach, there's a contaminated section further along.
Poor service from the staff, they don't come check on you. The place itself is lovely as it is right on the beach
Cool place and great view of Indian Ocean. You can also swim
Great view and good food. The only downside is how long it takes to get served. Can get crowded during holidays and weekend nights but be assured of a great time. They also serve good food.

This is a great little square full of Wood carvers, Artists, oils and Acrylic, plus clothing and many other souvenir items. If you look you will find something you like for sure, I got a great painting and 2 hard wood wall decorations.
This is an open African art and craft market that offers a good variety of souvenirs for tourists. Their products range from hand-made sandals, clothing, bags, beads, wood carvings, hats and many more. The vendors are very friendly, and most of them speak English. Bargaining for prices is a must.
Nice place, first prices extremely high, to be bargained by few times. I do recommend to visit at least. Many people, quite crowded, prices very high for white people which is very discriminating. Generally speaking.. I do recommend the place to buy some hand craft.
Good place to buy local art and souvenirs.
About a hundred small shops with lots of wood carved souvenirs and home decor. You can also find fridge magnets and clothes. Be wise to check price in a few of them as many carry the same items and you could get a deal. Overall good prices and friendly shop staff. It is recommended you bring a guide along to help you translate and negotiate.
Tingatinga paintings and carvenings, hand made jewelry and more. Authentic Tanzanian art for affordable rate.
Nice place to get souvenirs! When in Tanzania... Do visit! Highly Recommended! ♥️👍🏻

Slide 1 of 8
Nice and peaceful place to visit with the family. The Zoo is a common destination for school field trips. So, if you go in the weekend, you'll likely see school kids as well. The Zoo has a mosque, dining area, playground, and a small swimming pool. They also have an animal riding service (camel, horse, and donkey wagon). A tour guide takes you around to see the different animals. The road that gets you to the Zoo is a dirt road at the moment - the government still hasn't extended black top to that area. Prices are fairly affordable. Entrance fee is 6,000 /= for adults and 3,000 /= for kids (2-12 years old). Animal riding is 2,000 /= for adults and 1,000 /= for kids. Peanuts for feeding monkeys/baboons is 1,000 /= per pack. Would like to see other animals like Rhinos, Hippos, Giraffes, and Flamingoes in the future.
Children love to see the animals but they so not realise that it is not a good place for the animals. I have been working with lions and the terrible situation of the lions, hyeana's but als other animals almost made me cry. They have no space, the lions lost the fur because of the concrete floors. There where young cups without a ptrotective group around them. The animals are sad. There was a baby giraff on it's own in a cage. All these animals live in groups by nature, here they are mostly alone. I know it is very expensive to keep those animals but why not start crowdfunding or so to give them a better place? The guide was very good with interesting information about the life of the animals. The playground is fun.
Go early to enjoy cooler temperatures and more active wildlife . Bring light snacks and water—food options on-site may be limited . Feed animals only with approved items—avoid overfeeding or purchasing street snacks intended for monkeys . Wear comfortable walking shoes—the zoo covers a sizable area with uneven paths .
It is a great place forindividual, group or families and kids. The environment is clean, and you get to see a variety of animals up close. It's both fun and educational
No card payments accepted please take cash and be ready to pay 20 USD if you are foreign national. Swimming and rides not included in entrance fee.
Is this the only zoo in Dar es salaam? Because it is so amazing. Guides are so informed and very educated. More than 20 animal species domestic and wild are available. They also have a special food programme that you can order a day before you go. Carry some biscuits the monkeys love them. Never seen an Eagle face to face but here a saw to a lady and a gentleman. Also saw a secretary bird see photos below.
We were very disappointed with our visit. The guide (Kevin) never mentioned that there was a separate cost for the tour, and at the end we were suddenly asked to pay 20,000 TZS. This felt very unprofessional and left a negative impression on what should have been an enjoyable experience. Transparency about costs is important — visitors shouldn’t be surprised with hidden charges.
Dear [Zoo Management], I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding an unpleasant incident that occurred during my recent visit to your zoo. Your assigned guide charged us a significant amount of money without any prior communication or explanation of the charges. When we questioned this, instead of clarifying, he acted unprofessionally and forcefully insisted that we make the payment. This behavior was extremely distressing and left us with a very negative impression of your services. As visitors, we expect transparency, respect, and professionalism. Unfortunately, this experience has caused us great disappointment and concern. I kindly request that you investigate this matter, take appropriate action against the guide involved, and ensure such incidents do not happen again to future visitors. I look forward to your response and a resolution to this matter.

It was a sweet Divine Mercy Sunday morning. I always enjoy worshiping at the Cathedral for it's history and beauty. Ongoing renovations will keep it in good shape for generations to come.
Nestled in the heart of the old city of Dar Es Salaam, you'll find a stunning Catholic Church, a hidden gem that has stood the test of time since its construction around 1903. With its charming architecture and rich history, this church is not just a place of worship but a captivating glimpse into the past, inviting visitors to explore its serene beauty and heritage.
This church is quite beautiful. It is still used for worship and you can walk in and see it . There is no entrance, it’s also right next to the road , opposite the Zanzibar ferry station
I had the blessing of attending 2025 Easter Sunday mass at this beautiful cathedral! In recent years, interesting contemporary neon lights (yes, neon!) have been added to it's Gothic historical architectural history; view photo. Mass is offered in both Swahili and English several time a day. All accompanied with an uplifting choir and upbeat music. If you have the opportunity, this is a lovely experience! Stumbled upon this Catholic church while having a wee wander along the waterfront (almost). It was in the middle of the afternoon on a weekday, but there seemed to be a service in progress. Apart from the local faithful of whom there were quite a few, there were a couple of tourists. The inside is well lit and very airy. Beautiful, peaceful place to have a quiet moment to yourself and meditate 🙏 A place to recommend for anyone in the area... 👍👍👍👍👍
It was a fabulous experience to visit this church that is so soothing and serene. Especially compared to the chaos of the Ferry terminal area just outside. The church is beautiful both artistically and in its positive energy. The nuns who were constantly cleaning the place, were so helpful, kind and welcoming. Such a difference from the superciliously rude lady at the Lutheran church who shouted me out of the church. I was able to visit in silence, pray in peace inside the church and the 2 open air chapels outside too (Blessed Eucharist & St Joseph).
A beautiful church. Services were happening.
It’s a quiet place. I love how calm it is when you go in. It’s situated in the city centre in such a way that most visitors are people who work around the city.

It's the best place with beautiful and elegant look. Linking Temeke to kigamboni Municipal. Well arranged lights decorating the place made it attractive especially during evening twilight and at night.
One of the best suspended bridge you will ever see across Tanzania
Nice bridge with great view, even more coller at night but speed limits is so crazy and entrance fee bit high.
I didn't ever seen the bridge like this in African. It's beautiful bridge in Tanzania. It's simplified most of one billion of people in Tanzania. Thanks Tanzania for beautiful bridge like this.....
The bridge offers instant in and out from kigamboni district to temeke and other Dar Es Salaam city municipalities also The Nyerere Bridge, linking the business area of Tanzania's largest city Dar es Salaam to the Kigamboni district across the Kurasini creek
Its the bridge joining kigamboni and kurasini. If you start a journey from kurasini side, you can not turn around until you cross the bridge. There is a crossing fee for motorcycle and other vehicles starting at TZS 600 to TZS 5000
The Mwalimu Nyerere bridge is quite a milestone for outstanding development projects accomplished by Tanzania government. It's a tremendous investment indeed. But some of the pass toll to cross needs some reconsideration to sustain locals.

I got married here in January 2023 , Ms Mika prepared and held the wedding in German and English . She was doing a wonderful job , it was the best day of my life . The whole family was included into the ceremony , which was especially wonderful considering the sickness of my mother and her tough journey . I’m incredibly grateful to KKKT , the church is always worth a visit , incredibly beautiful !!!
A beautiful Lutheran church building by the Germans during the colonial times
A nice church in Dar es Salaam where mostly moslems live.
This is one of the old building, it's a church built by German missionaries. I love how it is, built in Bavarian style. It's so nice inside the church and there are some services like mass being held. They are so friendly and warm welcoming.
Located near the city centre. Open all day. Visitors are welcome at any time. Weddings are usually performed here.
This is a historic church with great views has much to teach you if you are interested with history. It was built in 1898 by Germany missionaries and it still provides services.
masses are delivered in multiple languages including germany
Nice church in front of four points sheraton and sea side
