Phenomenal views nearby the church. The church itself is beautiful. It was closed when we visited. There is a dock nearby where a lot of people were there. Some of them were fishing, some were snorkelling and a couple was having a photoshoot. Looks like the place comes straight out of a fairy tale. Highly recommended. Must visit place in Mauritius.
A Charming Piece of Mauritius The red-roofed church is absolutely stunning and full of character. Its striking crimson roof against the bright blue sky creates a picture-perfect scene that feels straight out of a postcard. Behind it, the sparkling blue Mauritian ocean glistens in the sunlight, adding a breathtaking backdrop to this peaceful spot. As a place of worship, it carries a quiet spiritual presence that makes the visit even more meaningful. Best of all, it’s completely free to visit – a true must-see in Mauritius and perfect for a quick stop to admire the view, take photos, and reflect. **You are also allowed to fly your drones here!
There was a wedding taking place here today and how lovely, very pretty church and beautiful views. With public BBQ right next door. The beach is rocky but stunning
Beautiful spot! Lovely little beach great views and this gem of a church set on the seafront - there was a wedding on when we visited so didn’t go in, visit earlier or later in day for less people around.
Very beautiful Church on the coast. The views are awesome. Parking is not available and has to be done along the road.
What a nice peaceful place. On a Sunday afternoon there is an open beach bbq: they cook fish for you on the beach behind the church. Very relaxed atmosphere with a melting pot of locals and tourists. A must if you are around
The Red Roof Church is a French-built Notre Dame church with a red roof. The chapel's exquisite woodwork and the holy water basin, modeled after a giant clamshell, are well worth a visit. The whitewashed, red-roofed building, set against a backdrop of green lawns and the azure ocean, creates a perfect Mauritian postcard spot. Also, on a Sunny day, you can see three outlying islands in the distance: Copper Island, Flat Island, and Round Island.
A nice place to visit for a short time to take pictures and walk around. It was difficult to find parking though, and we ended up parking on the road and taking a walk. Nice to go about an hour before sunset for the best lighting.

If its not windy very nice experience
We did the Flat-Island tour twice. If we'd had more time we would have done it a few times more. It was the best snorkeling expericence we ever had. It was organized by the hotel and took almost the whole day together with snorkeling at Gunner's Qoin and swimming with turtles. On the way to Flat Island we were accompanied by Dolphin's for a while.
Excellent excursion to visit when you are in Mauritius. Just beware of the currents , at times they are quite strong and can pull you through. But the beach at Flat island is pristine with crystal blue waters.
Place is amazing! Water has azure color, and is crystal clear. White sand all over the island. It's truly beautiful.
Beautiful colors of the water. White sand and reefs nearby. It can get a bit too crowded once the boats start to arrive around midday.
A must visit when in Mauritius! Really great spot for a boat trip. Come early than you will be on your own. Depending on high tide and low tide you might see the sandbar & if you are a fan of sandbars as I am, you will enjoy it :) the ocean is so clear & the coral reef there is sooo beautiful for snorkelling!!! If you are lucky enough, you even spot sea turtles. There is a bit of a current so just be sure you don't break the corals by accident.
Beautifull sea And countryside, but unfortunatelly on the beach there were some plastics So if you want to do a little bit for our oceans take some bag with you and clean the plastics from the ocean
A place to visit. Peaceful nature. Wonderful sights.. Need to visit again

We live on this beach and O don’t want to recommend it as it has the best lagoon feel, child-friendly swimming, icon view of the Coin, so - keep away :)
Love this beach. It has terraces and plenty of benches as well as public toilets. There's plenty of shade as well as parking. You could sit here for hours but it isn't a swimmer's beach. My only gripe is that some of the benches need repair.
My favorite beach in Mauritius, but not for swimming or tanning. It’s a hidden paradise with lots of benches, tree shades and walking paths to enjoy a quiet moment, have some coffee or simply read a book outdoors. It’s overlooking a gorgeous scenery of an island nearby and there are few catamarans swaying in the water to create a picture-perfect moment. Not recommended for people on wheelchair as there are quite a few levels and staircases to go down to the sand and water itself.
One of the best beaches located in the northern part of the island, next to perebere. An ideal place for you to come and relax either alone, with family members, friends or lover away from the daily hassles and buzz. The view is surreal.
Bain Boeuf Beach in Mauritius is a hidden gem, a tranquil paradise that captures the essence of island life. Its pristine shoreline stretches along the azure waters, offering breathtaking views of Coin de Mire Island. The gentle waves and soft sand create a serene atmosphere, perfect for leisurely walks, sunbathing, or simply unwinding with a good book. As a local, I've had the privilege of experiencing the magic of Bain Boeuf Beach throughout my life. It's my sanctuary, a place where I can escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and reconnect with nature's beauty. Every visit is a cherished memory, filled with the warmth of the sun, the sound of the waves, and the sweet scent of the sea breeze. Bain Boeuf Beach holds a special place in my heart, not just for its natural beauty, but also for the sense of community it fosters. It's a place where locals and tourists alike come together to enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Whether it's watching the fishermen bring in their catch, playing beach volleyball with friends, or simply sharing a laugh with a stranger, Bain Boeuf Beach is a place where connections are made and memories are created.
Amazing local food,if your ever in the north side of Mauritius, you must try this place,I would recommend to anyone❤️
Much quieter than Pereybere and Grand Baie beaches and usually more parking available. Not blessed with many refreshment facilities.
Wonderful beach, not crowded. Be careful of the current while swimming

Super Diving School! Great team, super cool diving spots, lots of laughter. Very professional material an dive guides. We did 6 dives with them and each spot was different an had it's own beauty. For photographers a great team that knows where and how to find the things you want to shoot 🤙🤿
Amazing Family Diving Experience with Just Diving Mauritius! Our family had an unforgettable time diving with Just Diving in Mauritius! We did four dives together, including our daughters aged 11 and 15, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The underwater scenery was absolutely breathtaking — we saw turtles, moray eels, clownfish, lionfish, colorful corals, starfish, and so much more. Each dive revealed something new and magical. A special thanks to the team at Just Diving, especially Gaëlle, who was incredibly patient and made sure we all felt safe and comfortable throughout. Her calm and friendly approach really helped our daughters enjoy the experience to the fullest. Highly recommended for families looking for a safe, fun, and awe-inspiring diving adventure in Mauritius!
I hadn’t planned on doing a diving course when I came to Mauritius, but very spontaneously I decided to give it a try – and I am so happy I chose Just Diving Mauritius! I was looking for a good school in the north of the island and, after seeing their excellent reviews and high rating, I contacted them. They were incredibly flexible and professional, and arranged everything for me on short notice, which I really appreciated. I did my Open Water Diver course with instructor Manuelito, who explained everything very clearly, both the theory and the practical part. The first day was in the pool – I felt comfortable and safe, everything was explained step by step, in a very calm and professional way. The school uses new and well-maintained equipment, and the facilities are excellent: a clean pool, showers, toilets, a place to rinse and dry the gear, and an area for briefings before dives. The next two days were in the ocean. Each day I did two dives – first repeating the exercises from the pool and then having time to explore the coral reef. It was an amazing experience: I saw colorful fish, an octopus, and beautiful underwater life 🐙🐠🐡. On the last day, I had two more dives, one with exercises and one fully dedicated to exploration – and it was absolutely magical✨ Manuelito was extremely professional, calm, and experienced, which made me feel completely safe throughout the course. I also want to highlight the owners, who welcomed me warmly and made me feel at home. They are wonderful, friendly, and very supportive. Doing my Open Water Diver course with Just Diving Mauritius was truly the adventure of a lifetime. It was an unforgettable experience that inspired me to continue my diving journey and take more courses in the future. Mauritius is the perfect place to dive, with its stunning reefs and the chance to see dolphins, whales, rays, and so much more. With this school, diving becomes not just a course, but a beautiful memory that will last forever 💗
Brilliant three days diving with the folks at Just Diving. Very professional, attentive, and most importantly encouraging. The whole crew is fantastic, we dived with Ashley and Gaelle who were great. Equipment is well maintained and good quality and a very smooth operation. Did six dives overall, wish we could have done more! 100% would recommend, and when we come back will be diving with Just Diving for sure. Joe and Hira.
Just Diving is an outstanding dive centre. It is very professionally run by Bertrande and Gaëlle and in Ashley they have one of the best instructors I have met. All equipment is modern and in excellent condition and. Their training pool provides a perfect environment for confined water practice and the dive boat is a specific dive boat with good storage, access and appropriate oxygen and communications. The dive briefings are thorough and after dives there is an area to sit and access multiple fish reference books to complete logbooks. Ashley spent a huge amount of time supporting and getting our 15 yr old daughter to successfully achieve Open Water PADI on a one to one basis, thank you. I have been lucky to dive in many places around the world but this dive school is one of the most impressive. Many thanks for a fantastic experience.
I did my Advanced Open Water certification there. It was a wonderful experience. The team is very professional, and I felt safe and comfortable at all times. My instructor gave excellent advice to improve my diving skills. She was patient and helpful. I would 100% recommend this diving school! Awesome experience!(:
This is going to be a long one. My wife and I were PADI Open Water certified when we arrived in Mauritius, intending to do just a few recreational dives over 2–3 days. We hadn’t researched the local dive centres in advance, and Just Diving became our first choice simply because it was the closest to our hotel in the Cap Malheureux area. We were warmly welcomed by Gaelle, the owner, and booked two dives for the following day. On our first diving day, one of the instructors, Ashley, suggested that we were ready to take the Advanced Open Water course. We decided to give it a shot, and that marked the beginning of an intense yet fun and rewarding underwater training experience with highly skilled instructors. After spending our first week in Mauritius, we moved to the island’s west coast, to Black River, where we planned to complete the Wreck Diving specialty. However, after contacting seven (yes, seven!) different dive centres in the area, we were surprised to find that none of them offered this training. Frustrated, we reached out to Gaelle from Just Diving, asking about wreck diving. Her response was simple and immediate: "When do you want to do it?" It’s a 90-minute drive from Black River to Cap Malheureux, but we had no doubt it was worth the effort. Since there was no cost-effective way to change our hotel booking at the last minute, we ended up spending the next 10 days driving back and forth between the west coast and the north. But it was absolutely worth it—we not only completed Wreck Diving but also Deep Diving and Enriched Air Nitrox specialties. If you're looking for a dive centre with experienced, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind instructors, along with access to fantastic dive sites, Just Diving in Mauritius is the place to go. As far as I understand, they can teach you almost any PADI specialty — except for the obviously impossible ones in Mauritius, like ice diving. And lastly, a special thanks to Ashley for his endless patience and unshakable calm (see you in probably two years for a self reliant diver specialty).
When I first arrived at Just Diving, I had zero experience and was honestly a bit nervous. But the team made everything so easy to understand and made me feel comfortable from the first moment. Their patience, passion, and professionalism really stood out. Thanks to them, I now feel confident and super excited for my next diving adventures! Huge thanks to everyone at Just Diving – it was an unforgettable experience! Thanks to Gaelle, Manu, Bertrand and Ash😁

Fantastic service - we had the opportunity to experience Vishal's taxi company services twice during our stay and both time we had great experience. All the drivers are well prepared, drive safetly and respecting rules and always on time. We also experienced a day away from the resort with one of the drive that guided us in a tour of the south of the island; he shared with us a lot of info about history of Maurice island and suggested also about local and typical restaurants, has been a great day visiting the south of the island...recommended
Excellent service. Best for couples or family of 3. Very reasonable. Personalised service. Customised tours. I would definitely recommended this over self driven rental cars in Mauritius.
Our family (6 of us) used Vishal's service for airport pick up and drop off, day trips (South west tour, 5 island tour, north tour) and taxi to the west. Prompt response via text and calls and accepted payment via Mauritian rupees, GBP and Euros. Safe drivers, clean vehicles. One of the drivers was a bit pushy trying to get us to book activities and to get to restaurants that we weren't interested in. Fed this back to Vishal, who sorted it out. The price quoted for the taxi service and day trips were less than the total concierge and travel agent.
We went for a family trip to Mauritius for a week and Vishal assisted us on airport transfers and 3 ‘Day tours’. Vishal and his team are very reliable. Vishal was also very patient in answering a lot of questions we had about the country, the culture, the tourist spots etc. He has been in the hospitality industry for a long time. His warm and committed nature can be felt in his interactions. Vishal was kind to offer us some flexibility in timings as we were travelling with our young child and starting early was a challenge. Usually taxis offer day tours starting 9 am and for 7-8 hours. So this flexibility really helped. Overall a great experience.
Vishal was great for us, he wasn't too expensive and was on time. He provided a car seat for my daughter too which was requested at no additional cost He did ask one of his friends to pick us up and i arranged the pick up with Vishal who took me to the airport. We also booked to go Grand Bassin with him!! Vishal was knowledgeable about Mauritius. I would defo book with him again! Best in Mauritius !
We visited Mauritius on November and could not decide to book a taxi or rent a car. I found Vishal on tripadvisor and decided to plan our trip with a driver. I shared our itinary with Vishal and he immediately replied with reasonable prices via whatsapp. Whenever I had a question I could easily contact with him via whatsapp. If you request something be sure that he will arrange everything you need☺️ We took South and North tour and on other days just hotel transfers. All the drivers were very respectful, kind and always on time. Naden with whom we did the southern tour and Shashi with whom we did the northern tour were excellent drivers and guides. They added some other stops which where not in our itinary and took very nice photos. I highly recommend Vishal if you would like to have perfect Mauritius trip. I would like to thank him and his drivers for their help and allowing us to leave with beautiful memories.
A truly trustworthy travel company. Thank you Vishal for sending us ashwind. We had a great time in Mauritius. He was so on time and a great guide. Highly recommended.
Vishal was unfriendly and absolutely rude. First two days he sent another driver, ,' . Naden. Naden was very well behaved and polite and knowledgeble . But i would like to give zero rating to Vishal. He doesn't know important thing about his own country!!!!! He took us to china town, but it was closed on every Thursday. He didn't not give us such an important information before going to china Town. He is only interested in money, very expensive texi service. His car was also not clean and with bad smell. We are Indian and he bluntly said that he doesn't like indian tourist.!!!!! I would recommend everyone to get another texi service but not to go for Vishal. Zero points.
