Mike makes a difference, outstanding service, such a nice and kind guy. We had a cooking class, and the cheff was also a very charming man. The place is very beautiful, just the tourists can be a little annoying. The buffet is good, plenty of drinks and a musician playing for you. Snorkel could be better if they buy better masks, they were pretty bad ones. Overall, a lovely experience, highly recommended.
Nice but be warned as the catamaran trip is 1hr30 to 2 hrs each way and when you land you only have 1 hr 30 to enjoy. Beach not great
My partner and I got a glass bottomed boat over to the island. We were expecting amazing things (unsure why) but were a little disappointment when we arrived. The island is very basic, has a small bar and BBQ area. Be warned.... Once you are on the island there is no escaping until your return boat arrives on the dock. The bar has a limited selection of drinks, the food was already finished when we arrived and you have to pay extra if you want the luxury of lounging on a sunbed. The toilet and shower facilities are good should you require them. Would we rush to go back again.... Errrmmmm probably not, unless we booked the living accommodation which is available to rent on the island.
Good for whole day chilling with a group of friends. The most profitable with six to eight persons.

We had a full day Speed Boat Trip to Île aux Cerfs. Organisation was really nice, we enjoyed snorkeling and different islands investigation, were lucky to meet dolphins in the ocean. BBQ was nice Recommended :)
A really enjoyable speed boat tour of the south islands off Blue Bay. We took a 3yo and she had a fantastic time. The tour guides were lovely, Oliver and Shogun had us laughing, the earlier glass bottom boat part of the tour with a different host felt disorganised, hence loss of one star. Otherwise it was super enjoyable. Our lunch was very late arvo so I would recommend packing snacks to tide you over.
We booked a private speedboat excursion to Île aux Cerfs with Totof Tours, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. The whole experience was excellent, and the team was fantastic from start to finish. The team was very responsive and accommodating, even handling some of our last-minute requests with no issue. The journey itself was beautiful, with stunning views all the way to Île aux Cerfs. We also stopped for some snorkelling, which turned out to be the best snorkelling we’ve had in Mauritius—clear waters, plenty of colourful fish, and vibrant marine life. Along the way, we visited Lighthouse Island, but when we found it too crowded, we asked the captain if we could skip it. He was flexible and immediately adjusted the plan, taking us instead to the fish farms, where we were lucky enough to spot dolphins. Lunch on Île aux Cerfs was another highlight, with an excellent spread that included chicken, fish, lobster, and a wide variety of drinks. Everything was delicious and well-prepared. On the return journey, we asked if we could stop for an additional snorkelling session, even though we were already past our scheduled time. The captain and guide were more than happy to accommodate, taking us to a quiet spot with only a few boats around. The snorkelling there was magical, with plenty of fish and even the incredible bonus of spotting sea turtles. Overall, everything about this excursion was amazing—the flexibility, the professionalism of the team, the food, and the unforgettable experiences both above and below the water. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely do it again. Highly recommended!
We had an amazing time with Totof tours, snorkeling in the lagoon and the Isle aux Aigrettes, and wandering through the marine reserve. Our guide, Olivier, was fabulous -- knowledgeable, thoughtful and helpful, and he took us to areas full of incredibly diverse and beautiful schools of fish and coral. It really was the best snorkeling experience we've ever had, and we would totally recommend Totof Tours if you ever find yourself in the area of the Blue Bay reserve!
We did the two spot snorkelling, glass bottom trip. It was lots of fun and well worth with it. Lovely spot. Hopefully the coral makes a comeback. Keep in mind that Totof are literally under an umbrella next to the beach and google maps is not reliable for directions, follow the signs to blue bay.
Overall a pretty underwhelming experience. We booked a tour here through Get You Guide and prior to departure we had heard that Blue Bay was a special protected marine sanctuary. Within 15-20 mins of departure, our guide actually runs over the protected coral on the boat. At one point the boat got a bit stuck on a group of corals and had to really rev the engine to get unstuck. The snorkeling equipment on board was in disrepair and it was hard to find a comfortable combination of mask and snorkel. If this company cannot do these tours without running over and damaging the coral, why offer these tours?
We booked a bluebay snorkeling 1 hour snorkeling tour, we arrived to find that noone else was booked on so we had the boat to ourselves, the guides were very friendly and informative explaining the different types of coral and the glass bottom boat was very cool to get to see everything, the snorkeling wasn't rushed and the number of fish you could see was great! We would definitely recommend!
Fabulous half day tour with Totof! We did the tour with our 3yo and it was absolutely fine. He was thrilled to see the colourful fish through the glass bottom boat. We had 2 snorkeling stops. They even had snorkeling gear on the boat to use, so don't worry if you don't have your own. We later stopped at the island across Blue Bay for lunch. We'd paid 500rupee supplement for the lobster and it was delicious! The lunch location could have been improved though..we were standing amongst some trees at the side of a private resort, so that felt a little random. But overall, a lovely relaxed half day out in the lovely lagoon surrounded by good company and picturesque surroundings.

We had a dive with Rex & the team out to “Animal Garden” and must say the service & attention we had was fantastic!! The team provided & checked all of the gear, so there was nothing we had to do. Even took it all at the end of the dive to wash etc. Rex regularly checked on the group and could see that I was struggling a little bit with my son who is new to diving. So he made the call to take my son and I changed my buddy. My son had the best time. Rex took a lot of photos & sent them to us afterwards at no additional cost. Another bonus! Highly recommend Blue Bay Divers.
Tensingh was a great instructor, the dives were beautiful filled with wildlife, rex was always accommodating of our schedules and really loved the beers and snacks after a night dive. Thank you all for such amazing experiences and can't wait to go back!
I have completed my PADI Open Water certification with Blue Bay Divers in June. We have established contact a few months before the planned trip to Mauritius and all our questions were answered promptly so we were prepared for the course as we arrived. The Blue Bay Divers team is professional and approachable and they were very responsive to our needs, including last minute rescheduling of a dive due to illness. All the gear was provided as part of the course, and all of good quality. Nitish was a g re at instructor and on my second dive, when the waters were quite choppy and the catamaran was quite close to where we entered the water and I got a bit overwhelmed and panicked, he reassured me and we descended under water in minutes. We had briefing before each dive, so we knew what to expect in terms of dive and skills that we would be practicing. Feedback was also provided after each dive. The two diving sites were amazing, and I got to fulfil my dream of seeing a sea turtle (twice!) - my main motivation to attempt scuba diving. The marine park there is full of colourful wish and I also got to see an octopus, lion fish, and a dolphin swimming by at a very close proximity! The team is very professional and they are passionate about diving and marine life. They worked like a well oiled machine, and every trip went smoothly without incident- from getting gear ready, to transport, boat trips, helping with gearing up and getting out of gear, and then everything was cleaned and cleared straight away after return to the centre. Top notch! I did two further dives after certification with the team. I would recommend them to anyone considering combining their holiday in Mauritius with scuba diving - the location at Blue Bay marine park is perfect for diving as well!
Rex and his team are absolutely amazing. We’ve completed 3 dives with them over the last few days and have felt completely overwhelmed with their knowledge and expertise. We are complete novices, only recently completing the OWD certification. They came to collect us from Shandrani and took us back after the dive. All equipment included and we were even sent lots of photos too! They helped to make my dream come true by seeing a turtle for the first time ever, a memory I will never forget. I’d highly recommend and look forward to visiting again in the future!
I did a PADI open water diver certification as well as later dive with them. As the course was done during the vacation, we were in contact before to arrange everything for the course and to start the online theory. Communication both in advance and during the practical part on site was great, and they were very accommodating with the dive schedule. All the staff was really kind and supportive, instructor was patient, gave clear explanations, and was very observant so he immediately noticed my initial panic when trying to descent on the first dive and it took him mere seconds to help me overcome it. All the dives went great and the feedback on my performance after each dive was helpful for improving on my next dive. During each dive (during and after the course) we were taken to locations with abundance of marine life so it was great to swim with plethora of fish around me, seeing a sea turtle, octopus, corals, even a dolphin swimming past... The service was really excellent and I would recommend using their services both for courses or just dives.
Today we had the first chance to dive in the outside reef at Lobstercave dive site, as the wind finally came down of the week before. Two days ago we did dive with the team around Rex at Anemone Garden and Trou Moutou dive sites. In between dolphins passed the diving sites, what a view. The Blue Bay dive team around Rex and Ludovic is a joy to work with, fun, but sharp on the details and 100% reliable. We stayed quite close to Blue Bay, so a pick up and a bring back was no issue at all, flexibility is top notch. We can highly recommend the full team. 5 Stars.
We had an awesome day with the guys from Blue Bay Diving Centre. We started with a shallow water dive to refresh our diving skills, where we could enjoy the beauty of the mauritian under water world. Later we went even deeper to see even more of this stunning landscape. The service and equipment also gets 5 stars from us and Rex gave us a lot of background info how we can improve our underwater photography skills. Thx for that ;) Was a blast diving with this guys! 🙌👍
Blue Bay Divers is an absolute top Diving Centre. The team around Rex is always friendly and helpful in any way. They all live for diving and not for the financial aspect. There for the groups they are diving with are very small, which I appreciate a lot. The equipment you can borrow is from good brands and is quite new. The boat is also perfect for the purpose of scuba diving. I did 8 scuba dives with the Blue Bay Divers, each of them was beautiful and held new surprises. As you can see in the following pictures. The dive spots are diverse and some of them are also driveable during ruff sea. The perfect way to spend a rainy day on Mauritius is under water😉 A big thank you to Rex, Manoj, Emilio and Dominique for the great diving experience.
