Embarking on the Atlas Mountains day trip from Marrakech was nothing short of enchanting! The journey unfolded like a mesmerizing tapestry of diverse landscapes, from bustling markets to serene valleys. Our guide, a true connoisseur of local tales, added a delightful layer of storytelling to the adventure. As we ascended, the air became crisp, and the views from the mountain peaks were simply breathtaking—a panoramic spectacle that etches itself into memory. The Berber villages, with their warm hospitality and vibrant colors, offered a glimpse into traditional mountain life. The highlight? A sumptuous lunch served against a backdrop of snow-capped peaks, creating a sensory symphony of flavors and vistas. This day trip was a harmonious blend of cultural immersion, natural wonders, and the sheer joy of exploration—a magnetic pull for any wanderlust-infected soul!
“Premium Atlas mountains day trip with camel ride experience, booked through viators” we paid gbp 28 each Firstly this was a group day trip with a private provider. (There were 8 other travellers in who joined ) Moustapha, the guide, was friendly, informative , funny and upfront about each part of the day. Although we stopped at an “argon oil shop”, there was no hard sales push and after the demonstration of products you could do as you please … we stopped at a few places on the way up the mountain for photos and and then made the 1hr 30min walking round trip up the mountain to see a waterfall ..after this we had a 5min drive and a 5min walk to Moustapha’s family house for an amazing lunch on the terrace ( absolutely lovely food)… followed by the 1hr 30min drive back to Marrakech Points to note Not suitable for everyone as the mountain climb was over mainly good terrain but also over some rockier paths and improvised bridges ( it’s one of many well trod pathways used by locals and tourists) The age range of our group was approx 20-53. All in our group were in agreement that the tour was Perfect and unbelievable value for money and a “real” experience Moustapha was genuine and an Atlas mountain local, making his own business The Mini bus was clean and modern and the driver safe and courteous. “To date” Possibly one of the best trips we have done anywhere, And definitely the best value Good luck with the business Moustapha…pleasure to meet you
We just came back from a wonderful day tour to the Atlas mountains. Everything went exceedingly smoothly, with lots of information from our friendly Berber guide. The food was an absolute highlight, cooked by our guides family and easily the best tagine we've had in Morocco by FAR
Amazing day out!, very nice setting for lunch, delicious food, good hike to the waterfall. All together a great experience plus a fun camel ride. Highly recommend 🙂
