Had such a wonderful afternoon enjoying the sulphur spring pools. My skin felt amazing afterwards. Would definitely recommend but can get busy if lots of tourists are coming in.
This is a must visit! We visited while on an excursion and loved it so much we went back two days later. The volcano is incredibly cool to see, guides were informative on the history & how the volcano works. The mud bath is so soft and our skin still feels great. A couple vendors outside too. Without a tour there it was quiet and peaceful, absolutely a great time!!
Such a unique and unforgettable stop! I didn’t do the official tour, but I was still able to walk through the volcanic area, stop at the interpretation center, waterfall along the way. Being that close to the hot, bubbling springs was surreal; and yes, the scent of sulfur fills the air and adds to the whole atmosphere. But the absolute highlight for me was bathing in the mineral-rich hot springs. I covered myself in the sulfur mud and soaked in the naturally heated pools, which sit at around 100°F. It was heavenly!!!My skin felt unbelievably soft and refreshed afterward. Days later, my skin was still sooo smooth. Like a natural spa treatment straight from the Earth. It was so good, I ended up coming back for a second visit. There are also souvenirs available at the entrance if you want a little keepsake. Truly a must-do experience if you’re visiting the island!
Sulphur Springs in St. Lucia is famous as the world’s only drive‑in volcano, located in Soufrière. It’s a geothermal wonder where visitors can enjoy therapeutic mud baths, hot springs, and guided tours of the volcanic ✨ Why You Should Visit Sulphur Springs blends natural science, wellness, and adventure. Whether you’re interested in geology, relaxation, or simply a unique Caribbean experience, it’s a must‑see. Many visitors describe it as both surreal and invigorating — a chance to literally bathe in a volcano.
Such a stinky experience! And well worth it. The mud plastered all over us followed by a hot bath was refreshing and soothing. Wish I lived close enough to do this on a regular basis. Don't miss it!
Guide was very knowledgeable and friendly! When we got to the baths and mud, it was a little overwhelming with the number of people, but we still didn’t have to wait at all. You don’t actually get into a mud bath. You get into the sulfur baths, then right when you get out of the water, you can spread the mud all over yourself. It takes about 10 minutes for it to dry completely. Then they have black mud that you can decorate with or you can leave a tip with one of their artists for them to create a design on you. I was really uncomfortable with someone I don’t know touching me like that, so he offered to just give me black splatters by flicking the mud on, which I thought was very considerate and still allowed me to be a part of the fun! After you take your pictures, you can get back into the hot Springs and rinse off the mud. Our skin was soooooo soft after!! we really had a great time here
This was a really great experience that everyone who visit St. Lucia should consider. We got there around 10am and I strongly recommend getting there early to beat the crowds. My skin feels super soft after the mud bath.
Our butler at sandals got us a private tour to these springs and a waterfall! The spring is hot, the calcium and mud makes your skin soft! Highly recommend the experience

Peaceful gardens filled with lots of native plants, trees and birds. Cost $10 to enter for the gardens with an additional fee payable to use the private or public baths. At the end of the trail is a magnificent waterfall which is worth the entry fee alone!
A very beautiful walk through the gardens with a large variety of local plants and fauna. Lizards, hummingbirds and other animals can be seen as you walk through the grounds. The falls and river have volcanic ash/sulphur which give it the grey appearance.
I came upon this place taking a wrong turn while exploring St. Lucia. I love wrong turns in the right places. If you love exploring and looking for a serene inexpensive place learn about the vegetation, fruits, minerals, check this place. Also, bring your swim gear and soak in the mineral bath. I left out bath pics intentionally. You must visit.
Peaceful botanical gardens filled with lots of gorgeous plants, birds and trees. The waterfall was lovely to watch and listen to. There are some information plaques around the gardens, but not many. Entrance fee is reasonable, $35. Cash only. There is a shop selling souvenirs and refreshments, some pools to bathe in (although these didn't look very inviting), changing & bathroom facilities are available. Walking at a very slow pace, it took us 1-1.5 hours to see the whole garden.
Beautiful botanical gardens, it can be explored on your own or with a guide. There is a good variety of all sorts of plants. It is possible to see the waterfall which has different colours due to the different minerals from the volcanic water. There are mineral baths as well, but not very inviting, as the pools don't have much privacy. Recommended
If your into nature, this is a place to visit. Not large but has a wide variety of plants, flowers and trees. Has a small waterfall towards the back. Not a fan of the touristy hot bath, that you have to pay extra for, but to each their on. Entrance fee is $7.00 US. You can get a guide, not sure if that is an extra cost or not. I just walked at my on pace and enjoyed myself.
Absolutely wonderful place! Nestled in the rainforest, wonderful garden and beautiful waterfall. We're returning to Soufriere in June and will definitely be visiting the garden and falls again 😁
The gardens are really lush! But they are very insistant about you taking a guide and buying bracelets at the end. The baths weren't really hot

Hillside nature trail offering a picturesque viewpoint of the water & mountains, plus guided tours.
Slide 1 of 8
We did this trail with a guide who was very encouraging and had some interesting facts to share. He also was happy to take our photos and knew the best angles. The trail was actually more of a hike than expected, but really not too difficult. Views were amazing. Way nicer views than from the Gros Piton hike. I would bring some drinks and a snack to enjoy at the third view point (by the shed) to really enjoy the views.
A must do to get some stunning views of the Pitons! The hike is fairly easy, but use the guide to gain insight into the locale and support the community. We had Felix take us on our hike and he was extremely knowledgeable, funny, and took great photos of our group!
This nature trail is quite easy to do when compared to the gros piton trail. The views are equally beautiful, from here in fact you get a different perspective of the pitons, specially the Petit piton. At the top of the stairs for heaven it's where you gonna get the wow feeling! Absolutely astonishing. In here there is a small shop, so you can have a drink while contemplating the view. Highly recommended.
We drove and parked here on Wednesday, Oct 1 around 9:30am. We were the only ones on the hike until we were descending. The cost was $10/pp. we hiked it on our own. The hike is a loop that took less than an hour and easy to navigate. The first 15-20 min is uphill with stairs but mostly in the shade. There’s a vendor at the top selling refreshment and souvenirs but not pushy. The view was gorgeous and hike back down was easy.
A must do hike for all abilities if you are nearby! Gentle walk that only needs trainers at trail is well maintained - and with views just as beautiful as from at the top of the pitons! Easy parking with cute dogs and friendly staff. Guides available, but I went alone - could probably have completed in half an hour, but sat for a few moments of peace at each viewpoint taking it all in!
The Tet Paul Nature Trail in St. Lucia is a short but spectacular hike offering panoramic views of the Pitons, Soufrière, and even nearby islands like Martinique and St. Vincent (my home). It’s often called the “Stairway to Heaven” because of its breathtaking vantage points. - Cost: Entry is around $10 USD or 10EC (for locals) per person, with guided tours..I highly recommend Shervin as your tour guide as it would be an enjoyable one...he's so funny
What a magnificent view! The trail itself takes about 1 hour to complete and costs $10 to enter. There is the option to hire a guide, but you can easily follow the trail alone if you prefer. The trail itself winds it's way up the hill and there are a few different points where you can stop and take pictures, but it's at the top where you'll be dazzled by your incredible surroundings!
Enjoyed the moderate hike, very shaded but be prepared for steep inclines! The most beautiful views of the Pitons!

We stayed in Soufriere and were dropped off by our driver at Anse Chastenet (it is walkable if you like long walks up the hill with a windy road). We then walked the length of the beach, under the cliffs until we ended up at the very end - with a paradise like beach in front of us. The beach has resort loungers which are very expensive to rent for a day, but the sand is perfectly fine. The beach itself was very quiet on the day as we had showers, but they only added to the atmosphere. The sunset was stunning. There's a food outlet on the beach serving burgers made to order and fresh seafood.
Hands down the best beach on the entire island! Don’t waste your time going to sugar beach, it’s small and over crowded. Make the trek up and down the rocky road for a private, clean, peaceful beach with two shower heads to wash off, 4 bathroom stalls— which the bathrooms are very clean and very nice, and with its own restaurant. Order the burgers or fish tacos from the restaurant. The restaurant is ONLY OPEN from 12-3 so make sure you get the order in by 230. Chairs on the left side of the beach are $66 for the day, chairs on the right side are for the people staying at the resort. $66 for the day is steep but SO WORTH IT. There’s 8 umbrellas with 2 chairs a piece, the most people that have been here on the left side was 3 couples (including me and my husband). No foot traffic, no getting hassled by people wanting to sell you boat rides, or other tours. You’ll occasionally get a party boat pull up and they snorkel off to the left side of the beach. My husband and I have been here since Friday 8/8 and today is 8/14– we’ve been to the beach 4 days in a row paying for chairs everyday $264USD because ITS WORTH IT. We went to sugar beach, La toc beach, vidgie beach, humming bird beach, and reduit beach and we came back here everyday. The people at the gate knew us by the 3rd day “back again?😇” Please don’t waste your time going anywhere else! ☀️🤌🏼🏝️🇱🇨
*VERY IMPORTANT* The road to get there is long and absolutely sucks. You must have a good car with proper suspension to make it there. It's probably the best beach on the island. Very few people and very quiet, so you get the full beach experience of sand, sun, waves crashing and ocean breeze. Beach chairs are owned by the resort, which costs $65 per chair if you want to rent them (despite them being mostly unused). Nearby bar/restaurant for drinks and burgers are available to non-resort guests. You pretty much get what's on the menu though, so if you're picky about what you want, it will be messed up.
Very nice peaceful beach, comfortable, great service and amazing view. Not so much people and very calm. Perfect for relaxing.
One of the most idyllic places I’ve ever been. Snorkeling at Chastanet is very good as well. Highly recommend this spot.
One of the nicest beaches in St. Lucia. Tucked away, so very quiet, but only about 10 or less walking from a car park. Also there is a really nice restaurant called Anse Chastanet. So after a good swim you can dine in this nice restaurant.
We visited as a day trip. Bring some lunch and a six pack of Peton’s. As an avid off-roader in California, the road to Anse Chastanet is not nearly as bad as other reviews. Broken, bumpy concrete but not slippy mud. It starts steep but is fine after the first 200ft. There is a large parking area on the left when you arrive at the resort. Be sure to assure the security you know to walk all the way north (right) because it sounded like they’re tired of day trippers expecting more. Once down on Anse Chastanet, keep heading north, you’ll arrive at a few concrete steps that lead to a flat gravel/dirt road, pass a small pier, and arrive at a gloriously under utilized beach and bar. The day user’s typically go past the two standing rock formations and you get it all to your self!!! We had a cocktail and utilized the picnic tables near the bar before we left, we felt welcomed there. Definitely do what we did.
One of the most private and beautiful public beaches I’ve ever been to! Definitely worth the long walk and even a long swim! Bonus, the burger place is awesome as well! Although a little bit overpriced.

The water felt amazing temperature wise on a hot day, but the pressure of the fall is something to reckon with. This was one of the stops on our boat cruise. I wished we could have stayed a bit longer.
Hum, average at best, it’s a small waterfall, the difference is you can get in the water and under the waterfall… we went at a quiet time and it was still busy. I would think at times it’s bonkers. The waterfall its self isn’t huge… and again if going from a cruise ship, the drive and trip over for half hour tops at the falls I thinks is hard to battle with, you might be able to spend your money more wisely or experience another opportunity while in St Lucia.
If coming in on a cruise, it's a longgg way from port, but a nice waterfall you can walk into and get a picture standing under it. Not "cold" water, but not exactly bath water either. Like all tourist type places, it gets busy, so go early
The earlier you go the better. We were totally alone. Don’t NEED a tour guide. Cooler water but amazing. Nice back massage if you stand under water. Nice after the mud baths to clean off more.
Nice big waterfall. Perfectly after the sulfur bath. The water is nice cold and refreshing. Changing cabinets are available. A small bungalow is there with refreshements and snacks.
Visiting the waterfall was an energizing and invigorating experience — the rush of water, the cool mist, and the sheer beauty of the surroundings made it absolutely wonderful
Love a waterfall and anything nature but way too touristy for me. Cruise ship excursions come from the sulphur bars and queue to get a photo under the water. Couple of changing rooms and lots of souvenir sellers.
A cool waterfall that you can stand under and get a picture at. It was a bit crowded as we arrived when there was a cruise ship excursion. But after they left it was a lot less busy and very fun and cool.

7.5$EC to enter. Person at the gate friendly and speaking french 😁 ~5 minutes walk in the forest and then you have 3 pools. Small one is really hot (around 35° I'd say?) And the 2 others are a bit cooler Overall it's worth the price 👌
We really enjoyed our visit to the falls. There are 3 pool areas, one fed by warm water from a spring and the other two fed by the stream that falls into one of them. We brought traction water shoes and it was a good thing, the rocks around the falls and the stream are slippery in bare feet. There is a covered area here to protect your belongings from the frequent rain squalls plus a sitting area around the two main pools. The warm pool is just that - warm. Keep your hot tub expectations in check! But well worth the cost of admission as we met a bunch of like minded people there and hung out for a bit.
These mineral baths are surrounded by luxurious rain forest. There are 3 pools, the temperature of the water is slightly different between them. The pools are not too big but when we visited, during the week, there were just few people. There is a entrance fee. Highly recommended.
Went there to cool off and soothe the muscles after hiking Petit Piton, and loved it so much I went back for a final bathe before my flight back home! It's a five minute picturesque easy walk, and then down some steps, Three springs of various lovely temperatures, the water soothed mosquito bites and potential sunburn, particularly the warmest spring! Plus a waterfall to stand under! Plenty of places to sit and leave bags etc. Super cheap (7.50 ECD) , and much calmer and less crowded/touristy than diamond falls, the sulphur volcano pools etc. Easy drive, but off the main road to Soufriere which is maybe why it's a more hidden gem. Perfect way to end my holiday.
We drove ourselves and visited on Wednesday Oct 1 around 11am. We were the only ones there. Paid $3 usd pp and walked about 4 minutes through the shaded foliage into the falls area. Three pool area but we just stayed directly under the falls. The water was warm, not hot, if sitting directly under the falls. Otherwise the pool areas were cooler. A nice place to visit. I’m not sure I would care to visit if it was crowded.
My wife and I thought this was better than the diamond falls. Warm water waterfall, bathes to sit in and relax. The rocks under the falls were also warm. Hidden gem.
I never knew how amazing this place is until recently. It's absolutely beautiful and hidden. The prices are great and the water is absolutely magical. The short walk took my breath away how untouched this place is
Quiet secluded spot for a swim in nature. Plenty of car parking, $7.50 entry fee, cash only. A couple of changing rooms, but would recommend coming ready in your swimsuits. Lovely walk down to the pools through the trees, 3 pools of clear, warm water flowing from the waterfall.

I love it there. The water is magical, and miracles can happen. Had a long and stressful day at work. Come to this hot spring, all your worries will float away. Leaving you refreshed and ready to conquer the world.
Loved the natural beauty of the setting of the baths .... it needs to made much safer along the walk way from the entrance...but all else should remain as is.. Another awesome wonder of our paradise island 🦋🌺🌴🏜🌞
I heard great things about this local Hotspot. The most exciting thing about this visit is the journey to get to the heated pools with water coming out of the bamboo pipe.#disappointmentisreal
The baths are so refreshing, the warm water helps relieve tense muscles. Had a whole product shoot on the way to the pools...I love it there, so intuned with nature
It was great the pools were amazing, my family and I had a great time.
It was great, kid friendly environment a wonderful getaway to just melt all the fuss and day's work away
We tried pretty much all spas on St Lucia and this was our favorite spot. We liked it so much that we went twice! The setting is amazing, surrounded by the rainforest. The walk down can be slippery if it has rained, but you will be rewarded with a relaxing soak in water at just the right temperature. Entrance fee is very reasonable like the prices of drinks that you can buy on site. One of our favorite spots in St. Lucia!
Scenic five minute walk down a nature trail leads to three hot mineral baths surrounded by plants and trees. We went when it opened and it was not crowded, and the sun was perfect. The entrance fee was very reasonable. Super glad we went and highly recommend it! The trail begins on the right side of the road prior to the Toraille entrance on the left.

Great beach, peaceful, barely another person there! Amazing snorkeling, loads of fish, however no corals at this beach. Wonderful views of the Piton above. Accessible by a 4WD vehicle only down a steep and bumpy road- but definitely worth it!
Very steep and rocky drive down, then a 5-10 minute walk. There are lots of rocks on the sand. Only go here if you like isolated, beaches with no amenities.
Beautiful local beach without amenities, very much in the nature, between the rocks and trees. The road is a bit bumpy.
This sea water is clear and warm!! I loved my time spent there. I got there via boat through "Reel Time Adventures" (check them out on instagram). The boat ride was amazing and getting to this beautiful beach was all that was missing!!
Decent for snorkelling - you do not have to swim out too far to see plenty of fish. However there was quite a bit of rubbish on the beach and it was not worth the tricky drive down (you need a 4x4 for).
One of the best beaches on the island.
Great camping and herritage site. Very therapeutic indeed!

A challenging hike, but worth it! I've rated the trail has hard, but I believe most people are capable of doing it - just take at least 2-3 litres of water with you and take it steady. It was $50 each for us to enter, but that gets you a guide - we had Alvin and he was great. He was happy to go at our pace. We'd stop every 20-30 minutes to rest. Great views even when you're only a quarter of the way up! But at the summit, there's a great breeze and you can see for 10+miles at least. Beautiful. You then begin the descent which I found more technical and tough on my knees. At the bottom, there's a small set-up that serves drinks, food and souvenirs - we treated ourselves to two Piton beers and an ice cream. Well earned. I recommend this activity, but do it as early as possible. It takes approx 2 hours to ascend, and 1.5hrs to descend, and you don't want to be doing it later in the day when it's hotter.
A good decent hike. Forewarned most of it is up up and up. The trail is easily distinguishable and has makeshift railings almost the whole way up. The trail can be slippery with coming down being a little more challenging. We rented a hiking pole for $5 US and that helped a lot in my opinion. Gave it a four star cause the views at the top are just okay. It's nice and pretty still and it's a great reward to say you hiked the Pitons but for the incredible effort to get there, the views are just okay. You do have to have a guide for your hike and the cost is $50.00 US per person. Our guide that day was a very nice woman who made great conversation with us the entire way and helped me push my way to the top. Some reviews state that this is not always the case. Back at the bottom, there were snacks and drinks available for purchase and restrooms for cleaning up. Parking is very limited it seemed.
Great to hike to the top. Bucket list check. More rocky and vertical stairs than dirt path. Step master will help train for this hike. About 2 hrs up and 2 hrs down. However, we had 4 guides in our group of 10 ppl which were pretty much unnecessary. We didn’t receive any commentary or history about the mountain, surrounding areas, or views. The guides basically spoke among themselves or on the phone in local language. I know they need to keep pace but it felt like they wanted us to finish as soon as possible. They didn’t check in on us other than stopping at each 30 min resting spot. Take a backpack for the excessive bottles of water they require you to have. Poles were helpful and can rent there for $5ea.
This is a hard hike but worth it. My wife and I are pretty in shape, so we thought it was hard but manageable. We each brought ~1.25L of water, and I recommend bringing that at a minimum. The views are amazing, but we wish we could see petite piton at the top. The view is of the valley and mountains to the east. You see petite piton at a viewpoint that is half way up. It is $50 USD per a person, which includes a required guide. We wish you didn’t have to get a guide as the trail was well marked, and our guide didn’t make it to the top and lagged behind us and didn’t do much. They then have a sign that says gratuities are accepted at the end, which we felt obligated to tip when even though guide didn’t do anything.
What a challenging but wonderful experience. This trail is hard, literally climbing rocks for the most os the time. I took this hike like a personal challenge, to understand my limits, to adjust my pace and control my breathing for a rewarding experience. It's absolutely worth it once you get to the summit. The view is breathtaking. It's interesting as well to observe the vegetation as you climb, at the base of the mountain is completely different more dryer and as you are more close to the summit it gets more humid so the flora is much more lush and pretty. Our guide was really friendly. I absolutely recommend this trail, just be mindful if you have any medical or mobility problems it might not be suitable for you. It took us less then 4 hours to complete it, so plenty of water is advisible and proper footwear. We done it early morning, we were the first group and honestly it was the best decision because of the heat. Highly recommended
Challenging hike if you're out of shape like me, but even I made it to the top with a little patience and persistence! Very rocky terrain in most parts and the humidity was difficult for me. Our guide was fantastic, and be aware that guides are required to do the trail and cost $50USD per person. Refreshments are available for purchase at the bottom and we were able to rent equipment (backpack and poles) if needed. Not sure if I would do the hike again but something I recommend everyone else to try at least once!
We had a great hike! Our guide was wonderful and helped us along the way, though not all the guides seemed as helpful. Hardest section is after halfway but the view at the half point is still very nice. Took us right at 4 hours total time.
We really enjoyed the hike. When you arrive you walk through the small village and learn about the people who live there. The hike is estimated to be 4 hours total, 2 hours up and 2 hours down. You make stops at every quarter for a breather. Make sure to bring 1.5 liters of water per person, or they will make you buy more water. It is 2000ft up and back down. Many people struggled but in my opinion it is very doable. We don’t hike often but regularly work out and we were passing people. If you want to do this hike and are not physically fit you may want to try doing stairs for 30 minutes and see how you feel, since you’re basically going up stairs for 2 hours then back down. The guides are good and very helpful in making sure you get back safely. The views are incredible and totally worth it.

This was a great hike. with explanations of plants and trees along the way. Jahrod was friendly and helpful. He shared a lot of interesting information about the trees and plants along the path. His brother helped us navigate the mineral baths and took lots of great pictures. The mud bath, water fall, and mineral bath were wonderful. We were in a very small group, so it was very private and leisurely. The path is well maintained, but best to wear sturdy shoes or sandals. Very much recommend booking through Sapphire Falls and Jungle tours with a guide. It greatly enhanced the experience.
We had a fabulous time in this private tour. We were led by an amazing guide, Monty, who hiked us a short distance (some steep areas with stairs and handrails) to the water falls where mud was already prepared. It is thick. It’s is dark and oh so fun to apply!! Recommend wearing dark colored swim clothes. Monty and his crew had fresh fruit sliced for us as we relaxed on the “hot” spring which was more warm than hot and very comfortable. Highly recommend this activity when in St Lucia!!
Jahrod and his brother Jean were very amazing and informative. Everything was top notch, the hike was beautiful. Jean brought us cocunut water , mango and cocunut chunks , his brother brought us vegan breakfast that was so delicious from Alor all while soaking in the bath. The ladies that gave us massages at the waterfall were so delightful and have amazing hands. Definitely recommend this hands down the best service I have ever received....thank you for allowing us in your sanctuary ❤️
We took a private tour of sapphire falls and the mud bath on our hike to the falls. It is an unkept hike down the hill, so you have to be fit and have help if any senior people in the group or if anyone has injuries. Our guide was good and we reached the falls and had a good dip in the mud bath and washed it off in the falls. After that we took a dip in the copper bath. It was very slippery so you have to to be careful when entering it. Overall a good experience.
No signs, no attendants the whole way down a mile+ trail. No signage as to what fees are - just a sign that says pay at the falls. Stayed in springs for 5 minutes and as we head out, a man with a machete demanded $12 per person… as we paid that, he then said it was $25 per person. Go to piton falls over this.$2 per person. Sour note to end our trip exploring the island.
Sapphire Falls and its water pools is located in a serene, lush and beautiful setting. While it requires much more effort to get there than the heavily touristed Sulphur Springs, it offers, in my opinion, a more elevated experience. The hike in is somewhat vigorous (the descent is on the steep side and with the ground damp it was a bit slippery) but the effort is rewarded with a waterfall that looks almost untouched by the presence of humans. The day I visited Jahrod and I were the only ones there. The only sounds were of the waterfall, the rustling of leaves in the wind, and the songs of birds. The waters were a pleasant temperature, and the two different muds provided beforehand - to be slathered on and left to sun dry - were rich and had a nice texture. This was the relaxing experience I was seeking, and that didn’t happen in the crowded Sulphur Springs drive-in volcano. I really enjoyed the hike in, and the jewel in the crown at Sapphire Falls – the rejuvenating mineral waters.
Expensive for a 3 hour experience which was 1h 30 min. Would not recommend this! Our guide did as well very terrible pictures...didn't really communicate, besides telling us facts and repeating them.
For the price of $25usd per person you can enjoy a dip in the falls, mudbath, a dip in the small heated pool and some fresh fruit to snack on. The hike to get in is much shorter if you take the entrance down the road like other reviewers mention. From that highway corner, walk down the road, past the cafe and look for stairs on your left. That's the easier entrance. It was a very fun experience, except that at the end we felt a very awkward expectation to tip. Which we were fine doing anyway. But even when we did tip (20%, which is pretty good in Canada), there was even more awkwardness that it wasn't good enough. We ended up just leaving anyway and feeling guilty. Kinda soured the fun experience.

Just had an amazing tour with Tim on the Superman waterfalls with my son. He's such a knowledgeable and passionate person regarding the medicinal plants and herbs. It was one of the best things we did. We had the whole Superman waterfalls and mud baths to ourselves. We could spend as long as we liked and enjoyed sucking on the fresh cocoa beans from the pods. Highly recommend if you want to avoid the crowds at the main Volcanic Springs. Quite magical
Summary: nice waterfall; it's a "guided hike" to the waterfall; don't go straight from the mud bath to this in your wet bathing suit and flip flops; the waterfall is nice and not busy We heard from other hotel guests that this waterfall was way less busy and they had a great tour from Tim. I messaged the contact number to get more details and organise the tour, but it was still chaos and I didn't know what to expect. Our taxi driver from Sulphur Spring mud baths suggested to "shower off in the waterfall" so we ended up having to hike in our bathing suits and towels for the whole hike, which was way longer than I expected... So don't do that... It's mostly downhill to get there which means uphill all the way back! Our guide showed us a few interesting medicinal and edible plants along the way but wasn't very talkative otherwise. At the falls, there was only one other couple just leaving, so we had the place to ourselves. The pool isn't deep at all, but they've built one you can sit in as well (not warm). They do have some bowls with black mud and iron mud if you want to use it (we didn't). There's a bench to put your stuff and a couple "change rooms', but other than that, it's not too nice to hang out there. It was $25 USD per person, which was kinda steep for what it was. But still worth it since it wasn't busy.
Had such an amazing tour at Superman Waterfalls! My mother and I just happened to pass by right when a tour was starting and tagged along - it was one of the best highlights of our visit to St Lucia! They went all out for us - they gave us fresh cocoa pod, canelle bark, banana, homemade treats, and we got so many mangoes along the trail (and my mother is St Lucian so you know she was hunting for mango julie!!) The rainfall felt so good, the trail was fun with beautiful views, they gave us custom mud body paint, and the waterfall felt so nice. And the tour is very educational, they explain to you about the plants and their medicinal uses, and they are nice cool people. A million stars!
My husband and I met with our guide Tim. He was kind and knowledgeable and so informative! So much that he wrote a book on 100 medicinal herbs. He stopped to show us every herb and flower and fruit along the way to Superman Waterfalls. He was encouraging all the way there and back. It was pouring buckets all the way there and back and it was so fun! He took a plethora of photos of us. We didn’t even have to ask him to. Great guide! Thank you Tim, for making this a memorable experience for us! We will certainly be back!
Our visit to the Superman Waterfall was a great experience, and Tim was a knowledgeable and helpful guide. He led us safely through the trails, shared interesting facts about the area, and made sure everyone in the group was comfortable. The waterfall itself was beautiful, and Tim helped us find the best spots to take in the view and capture some great photos. He was professional, approachable, and made the tour enjoyable without feeling rushed. If you’re planning to visit the Superman Waterfall, Tim is a reliable guide who will make sure you have a smooth and enjoyable experience.
It's a nice small waterfall. During day, local guides will be waiting for you at the entrance. It is your right to decline their services, however it will take a lot of haggling and perseverance, because they will be usually unstoppable and try to convince you that you are not allow to enter without a guide which is a lie. I payed 40USD and my guide showed me Superman, Diamond and Sulphur spa (where I had to pay another 20 bucks). This is Saint Lucía unfortunately where tourism is alpha omega. It's annoying as hell, I am not gonna lie.
I recently had the pleasure of taking a guided walking tour through the lush St. Lucia jungle with Tim, and it was an experience I won’t soon forget. Tim was an incredible guide—knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about the local environment. As we made our way through the rainforest, he pointed out various medicinal plants and explained their traditional uses, from natural remedies for ailments to energy-boosting herbs. The highlight of the tour was reaching Superman Falls, a breathtaking hidden gem deep in the jungle. The cascading waters and peaceful surroundings made it feel like a secret paradise. To top it all off, I got to enjoy a mud bath, which was not only fun but left my skin feeling amazingly smooth. Tim’s expertise and enthusiasm made this tour truly special. If you’re visiting St. Lucia and want an experience that combines adventure, culture, and natural beauty, I highly recommend this jungle walk with Tim!
Maybe the waterfall is nice but $25 USD a person once you walk all the way to the bottom is pretty ridiculous fee to charge for a waterfall considering Diamond Waterfall and Botanical Garden nearby is much much cheaper. UPDATE: Since the owner is commenting, yes this isn't Superman Falls, this is another smaller waterfall that you see on the hike to Superman Falls. This is what you see after about 40min of hiking before someone appears from the bushes and asks for $25 to see Superman Falls. We did not spend $25/person to see a waterfall in Saint Lucia.

My partner and I completed this hike without a guide*. The trail was easy to follow with lots of ropes to aid in climbing. Some vertical rock sections require lifting (and lowering on the way back down) your body weight on a rope. It was pouring down rain for most of our ascent. Our trail runner (shoes) were very useful in keeping us from slipping. We drank 2 liters or water each and had lunch on the summit. We both absolutely loved this trail! When we arrived we were told that we needed to pay a 40EC (per person) guide fee even though we were not hiring a guide. The price quickly changed to 80EC, then "oh, I forgot, that's 80 USD." At this point we walked away and didn't pay anything. *I, myself, am a certified Professional Climbing Guide and my partner is an experienced climber.
An incredible and rewarding scramble to the top, but much more physically demanding than gros piton, I was grateful for my climbing experience as parts were technically challenging, but really fun if you are familiar with it - you need good walking shoes, and to start at 6am to avoid the heat. If you are looking for more of a regular hike then gros piton is the better option. I can't believe people try it without an experienced guide! I went with Wayne (who has been up over 800 times), whose number can be found through recommendations on AllTrails. He was fantastic, and made it both safe and enjoyable (prices vary by how many members of the group), he recently was part of a rescue team along with the local fire brigade that had to stretcher down a tourist who had decided not to use a guide and taken his family up Petit Piton, got lost, fell, and got stuck on a cliff face with a broken wrist and ankle. So support a local guide and pay them, rather than potentially putting them in danger if they have to come and rescue you! Take $7.50 Eastern Caribbean dollars and do the 5 minute detour at the end to piton falls to cool off, and let the spring water start the healing process for any grazes or scrapes you managed on the trail!
A truly epic experience, best views on the island. Not for the casual hiker, must be in shape for this adventure. Hiking boots and leather gloves(for the ropes) go a long way. Bring water and snacks. You don’t have to hire a guide but if you haven’t done something like this before I would recommend it.
Very difficult and in some parts dangerous hike, but worth the view. You need to be able to pull yourself up by the rope with your feet on the rock in a few places. If you can't, you might be disappointed, cause that part is closer to the summit. I wouldn't recommend attempting without a guide. Though it's $100 US per person Take lots of water, shoes with good grip. Good luck
Magnificent views, well worth the effort. Intense trek, very steep at the end and climbing on some parts, ropes are laid out on these parts of the path. Some locals asked us for 30 US at the entrance. After negotiations, we paid 12US per person. The locals weren't there when we got off, so it was a bit of a money grab.
First of all, if you plan hike only by yourself (DON'T !) you will pay 100EC and must sign quite a long waiver. I started around 6 a.m. so there was no guide available, usually they are coming around 8-9 a.m. If you are looking for a fun and enjoyable hike, skip this one, especially during rainy days. The climbing sections are extremely hazardous and horrifying. Don't do this one without a guide, they can help you physically and with your moral, because this trail is unbelievable. I was alone so due to the rain I couldn't get over the famous "rabbit hole." I just couldn't get enough grip with or without shoes and I felt the risk of seriously hurting myself is too high. I was waiting for another people but I met first people with a guide 45 minutes later which was too far away from the top for me. So tips? If it's not a dry season, don't try it and if yes, take at least 2 guides with you no matter of your age. Wear very good waterproof hiking boots (even though locals usually do it barefoot), don't forget a bug spray/repellent and sun block, at least 2 liters of water, comfortable shorts and t-shirt and generally something which you don't mind covered in soil, mud, your own blood and sweat. This trail will make you regret your life choices. And again, DON'T TRY TO DO IT WITHOUT A GUIDE. Closest hospital for emergencies like broken limbs is in Martinique FYI.😉 If you will get into a section where you know it is over your limit, there's no shame to say STOP.
Stunningly beautiful park, from every angle. You can hike it on your own and if you are a moderately experienced and fit hiker with scrambling experience you should have no problem. There are several tricky spots towards the top and many sections where you use a rope that's installed along steeper parts. No need to start super early because the tree is shaded by the peak. There climb is really fun, the journey down not as much as it's very steep and slippery. There's an entrance fee even if you hiker the trail alone
Definitely not a stroll in the park. A difficult hike, most of it using both your arms and legs, lots of rope-assisted ascent in the second part of the climb. The final one third was close to being vertical, but all nicely roped along and a lot of fun to climb! The trail was really great and exhilarating overall! Was more difficult going down than up for me personally, even though usually it is the other way around. I guess due to leg muscles being tired on a descent. Took about 4 hrs overall. Definitely recommend to those who are fit and up for a challenge!

One of the best experiences we had on St Lucia. Silvo was such a passionate and fun tour guide. We had the whole place to ourselves and it was a wonderful walk with two amazing viewpoints and natural food picked fresh on the way. Bread and cheese (it's a flower), guava, raspberries and sugar cane and the freshest coconut water we ever had. I can heartily recommend this tour. It is steep and muddy in places so ensure you're up for that. Around 2 to 3h or as long as you want to take. Highly recommended.
Had a great time bird watching with Silvanus. He collected us from our hotel. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about the birds and plants. We saw Hummingbirds, parrots and many more. Would definitely recommend.
An unforgettable experience at Grand Eden Estate! Silvo was an incredible guide—passionate, engaging, and truly generous with his knowledge and time. He took us on a guided rainforest tour, where we spotted a variety of endemic birds, including all three types of hummingbirds and the rare St. Lucia Amazon Parrot. His enthusiasm for the local wildlife and ecosystem made the experience even more special. Beyond the amazing wildlife, we got to taste fresh coconut water straight from the source and sample his special infused spiced rum—such a treat! The views of the rainforest were absolutely breathtaking, making this one of the absolute highlights of our trip. If you’re visiting St. Lucia, this experience is a must! Be sure to bring cash for payment and wear proper footwear (running shoes are best). Highly recommend!
This place is a piece of paradise worth visiting. It is a hidden gem in St Lucia's places to visit. Sylvanus is very knowledgeable and he will explain you in detail the variety of flora and fauna (mainly birds) in the estate, which is vast. The tour is approx. 3 hours long and you will have the chance to see some of the most amazing views of St Lucia's forests.
I visited grand Eden estates with my partner whilst in St Lucia and had an amazing experience. We received a great lesson in natural medicine and were introduced to some of the rarest and most beautiful birds on the island, not to mention some friendly rabbits and Sheldon the tortoise! You MUST reserve this tour in advance and I recommend having a vehicle with good ground clearance if your driving as the track to the estate is rough in parts. We walked the trail and found it manageable. Overall a great experience and well worth seeing while you’re in St Lucia. Special thanks to our knowledgeable guides who taught us all about the local plant and animal life as well as some Creole!
Bookerty is the BEST! We booked this trip through sugar beach and wow are we glad we did. We arrived and felt like family immediately - our tour was incredibly educational, and tasty! We samples coconut water straight from a coconut, guava, roasted cashews, and seasonal vegetables from the farm onsite. We experienced incredible views, and a few jokes along the way from Bookerty! We laughed, we learned, and felt like a part of the community. If anyone is traveling to St. Lucia this is a MUST do! As some have said - yes the road there is bumpy but it was literally so worth it to have had one of the most incredible excursions we've had on a trip.
Sylvanes is an amazing nature guide! He taught us about all the plants and birds of St Lucia. A great reminder that everything you need can be found in nature. This tour is also a BIRDERS PARADISE — we saw all 5 birds that are endemic to St Lucia and all 3 hummingbirds. Had a wonderful time. And left with a yummy spiced rum too :) PS bring cash because there’s no electricity on the farm
Silvo was the BEST tour guide and was so knowledgeable about the plants, trees, animals, birds, bugs, everything during our tour. This was the best and most memorable experience during our honeymoon in St. Lucia (Oct. 2023) and we can not thank Silvo enough for the wonderful experience that he offered. We sampled so many fruits, cocoa, wines, nuts....and we were able to get homemade coconut oil and cinnamon from him as well. Thank you again for the incredible experience Silvo we hope to be back one day!!!!

This was our first visit to St. Lucia. My wife and I wanted to do as many activities as possible while we stayed on the island. Everyone was saying we had to do the Sulphur mud bath at the volcano. I booked the tour for the mud bath and was told about the Volga Trail, a fairly new hike that is on the way to the mud bath (it was very close actually) The hike was moderate at times, few steep hills to hike. But definitely worth it, our tour guide Danny was very informative and very knowledgeable of the area and trail. (He's a great photographer too) We were very thrilled we decided to do the hike, it was inspiring to see the views of the Pitons and the land full of organic fruits everywhere. Danny made hiking really enjoyable that you kinda forgot your actually hiking. We highly recommend new visitors to St. Lucia to try Volga Trail & mud-bath if you are an outdoor person especially if you love nature. Be prepared to hike for about 45 mins each way, definitely bring water and your best camera, for the mud bath, bring a towel and sandals, you must go to the waterfall afterwards too. Cant wait to come back.
