If I could put more stars I would. The food here is great I had the shrimp burger, it was really really good I would recommend this place to anyone. The service is good and quick.
Absolutely gorgeous right off the beach we had fresh food and an absolutely gorgeous view. There was a lady walking on the beach that provided a service of braiding my daughters hair away from the table. I had an absolutely amazing margarita, heavy pour. Completely authentic margarita made from scratch with the exception of the tequila. The pico de gallo was fresh and amazing and then we ordered ceviche which was awesome flavorful, the perfect amount of spices and the seafood was perfect inside of it. My daughter and I ate absolutely all of it. It was nice because my son was able to play under the table with the sand once done eating. It wasn’t super hot although it was in March because of the breeze from the ocean. The service was just absolutely amazing they had a performance there, so it had perfect entertainment, my kids loved it. It probably was our favorite place to eat in Puerto Valarta just an overall great experience.
All dishes tasted amazing, some portions were smaller than expected. But others had plenty on them. Overall well balanced.
Everything is top ,, the staff is super cool and welcoming,,food is tasty drinks are easy 😄 be nice to to everybody, don't understand the negative reviews...
We got fresh snacks. Chips were crunchy. Guacamole was tasty and freshly made to order. Had a passion fruit margarita sooo delicious. Real passion fruit. Generous serving size of snack and drinks for great price. The view of the ocean was amazing and relaxing. We got luck and were able to see a traditional native performance, nothing scheduled.
This place was a complete rip off!! Do not go there!! We wanted a simple breakfast and ended up with a bill that had lobster added to our bill we never ordered!! They didn’t want to give us a copy of the bill until pushed. We also were approached by someone who seemed connected to the restaurant and tried to sell us on property, etc! Horrible experience!! DO NOT GO HERE!!
We were at Restaurant El Malecon the other night. They have a large selection of sauces at the table. And then they bring out chips with more sauces. After that we shared a guacamole. My wife then had the tortilla soup and shrimp tacos, while I had the mummy shrimp. Overall the food was good as was the service. The prices are certainly Malecon and beach side prices. There was a live duet playing music and singing and they were pretty good. But the main reason for eating here is the spectacular view as we watched the sunset over the ocean. In the end that is what you are paying for.
We had delay in some food order, but they didn’t charge us for that and we got this part for free. That’s a real client orientation. On the top of that - the seafood is fantastic and fresh, ocean view and the birds (pelicans?) are fantastic 🤩 Totally recommend this place.

Known for its crowned Renaissance-style tower, this iconic city church hosts an annual festival.
Slide 1 of 8
How can someone rate the House of God? I attended mass at noon and it was very good! It’s a beautiful church with an adoration chapel.
This church was listed as one of the sights to see in PV. While I'm not a religious person, I don't mind seeing churches for their architectural value. Its located one street above the Tepic Puerto Vallarta, the main road that runs along the ocean, exactly where the Malecon Boardwalk starts at the north end. When you see the amphitheater and arches, turn around and you'll see a small park-like plaza across the street. Walk through it, and the church is at the other end. Its not hard to find as the building is taller than the rest. The red brick & stone church has no real front grounds, as only a sidewalk and a few steps separate it from the busy road, so its not the prettiest upon first glance. The top of the bell tower is uniquely finished with a wrought iron sculpture shaped into a crown that pays homage to an empress of Mexico. The doors were wide open, so I was able to snap a quick pic. There were a few worshipers sitting inside but no service was going on. The pews sit on marble floors, with high ceilings and columns decorated with simple ornate trim. Further in is an even taller rotunda ceiling draped by a purple curtain, with a grand centerpiece & painting. Mass in English is done on Saturdays, with Spanglish mix on Sundays.
A beautiful church dedicated to our Lady of Guadalupe. There’s mass daily 3 times. At 7.30 am 12 noon and 7 pm all in Spanish but easy to follow for those non Spanish speakers. It’s quiet so good to pray and reflect as well
This church is pretty underwhelming considering how it is made out to be. It’s touristy in the most ordinary way. Church needs a tea good refurbishment. Exterior is good. Seen much better in other places across the world.
The Tower of the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe is visible from the Malecon, but the church itself is not. It caught my attention because of the lacy looking Crown on top. Turns out the ‘crown’ is symbolic of a tiara worn by a mistress of Emperor Maximilian. There were two Emperors named Maximilian; one was the Holy Roman emperor, and the other was a former Emperor of Mexico. The church was constructed between 1930 and 1940. The Tower was more impressive than the church, but the tour group was allowed in, in case people wanted to stop and pray, as many were doing.
Nice outdoor space, lots of food choices to choose from.Friendy service, great view all around.
Mass was good, and there were confessions. There was a special event (I think they were celebrating a meeting from La Pastoral de la Salud) when we were there (the video is from the procession, that’s not what you will find daily!). We liked it, easy access, and good priests.
So peaceful and beautiful. Everytime I am in town I come to pray and light a candle for the world

This pier is absolutely stunning, whether you visit during the day or at night. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere at any time. During the day, you can enjoy sweeping views of the water, watch people fishing and in the evening, the pier comes alive—illuminated by vibrant, color-changing lights that add a magical touch to the experience. It’s an ideal location to catch a breathtaking sunset or simply sit back and enjoy the gentle breeze. With plenty of seating available all around the center of the pier, it’s easy to find a comfortable spot to relax, take in the scenery, and enjoy a moment of calm.
Nice pier with peace in the mornings. I prefer the sunrise vibes with a few fisherman and less crowds. Calming views of the ocean and boats. Some jump from the pier into the sea for fun, so possible for those bold enough. The pier lights up at night.
This area is great for day drinking and beach relaxing! Beautiful beach and views just on the edge of Zona Romantica and south of the Malecon. The sunsets were also worth the wait!
I love the pier and beach. It really wasn't too crowded at the pier. Some boys were diving off the pier and having fun. There were small boats in the water and people swimming in the ocean. There were people lounging in the sun along the shore. When I visited, it was Día de los Muertos, so I'm unsure if the railing on the pier is always decorated, but it was when I visited. The pier is an iconic spot along the beachfront.
First off there wasn't any charges to visit the pier. Even went with a group out on a boat a week before and we were shuttled from the pier to a larger boat. Stunning view of PV. You can sit on the circular bench and look back at the beach.
Fun atmosphere here by the pier. Playa muertos makes it easy to enjoy some swimming, relax on the beach, grab a bite to eat, go fishing, or just play in the sand. Love how they light up pier. Really nice watching the sunset over her.
Such a relaxing and beautiful beach area. The sunsets are gorgeous
Cool spot at the beach in PV. Was all decorated for Dia de los Muertos this time. Also where you go to take snorkeling or fishing charters or trips to Quimixto etc. We met Yiyo there of Yiyo's tours, as recommended by my friend who grew up in Vallarta and turned out to be the best. He even runs the annual fishing tournament! If you want to take a boat from the pier, he's got a FB page.

Pretty clean. Lots of options for food a drink. Perfect place for a sunset.
Great beach. Sunny, warm, surf a little strong. Very popular, need to be there early. Many beach side restaurants.
The greatest experience in PV, I absolutely loved and I highly recommend to spend the whole time at the beach, nice atmosphere and people. The stuff at beach clubs were very nice and friendly.
Easy access from zone romantica. Lots beach restaurants around here. It’s pretty busy. Nice sunset views. It’s low season so we are here enjoying some way quieter beach moments. Keep eyes out for your valuable stuff. Bring a waterproof bag and take your cell phone with you if you want to go chill in the water.
It's a beautiful sandy beach. But the waves were too high and we could not swim. I went there for New years Eve and you can see the best fireworks from there.
Extremely crowded. The beach is not very wide, maybe 10 meters, and it is surrounded by high-rise apartments and hotels that come up right to the sand. Many restaurants set up tables right on the beach, even more right next to it in the apartment buildings. The sand looks dirty, and is full of umbrellas set up by various businesses, not much room to walk at all. A lot of boat and tour operators hanging around trying to peddle their services. Quality of the water can only be described as "interesting."
Nice beach, pretty popular, but not overly crowded. Lots of people selling snacks along the beach and near the bathrooms. The waves were bigger/stronger than we expected, and since I'm afraid of swimming in the ocean, I didn't love it, but it wasn't a bad beach. 😅 Some areas are hard to walk on without shoes because of all the rocks. Very coarse sand, almost no seashells.
Busy area with lots of families having a great time. Lots of facilities and restaurants on the promenade with a very short walk to restaurants and shops one block from the oceanfront. Fun to walk onto the pier and people watch and see the little boats and water taxis.. Not polluted but there were a lot of leaves near the peer floating on the waves ; the only noticeable (extremely slight) comment. The water is clean and the surf is not too big.

We saw Adele at Act2 and thoroughly enjoyed her. She is engaging, sincere, and entertaining! I don’t think the Adele has a voice that can easily be matched but this tribute was well done! The theatre was comfortable with great views. At the end of the performance they run around and give everyone their drink bill, it’s a bit chaotic especially when they mix up the bills! Definitely a great show worth the money. Oh also, loved watching Chris with his guitar!
A great off-season performance allowing the Act 2 PV Stars to try out songs and routines. No doubt each performers heart is 100% committed to the show. I actually preferred the intimacy of the space, which was in the Piano Bar due to a complication in the main theater. Probably not lucrative to have it in there during the season but it gave a more personal vibe. Excellent host. Amazing voices and almost every song was done very well.
We had such a great time at Act2 Theatre watching Luis Villanueva’s Great American Songbook show. His voice is incredible, and he really knows how to connect with the audience—chatting, laughing, and making everyone feel part of the show. The trio of musicians playing with him were outstanding, and together they created a smooth, classic sound. A wonderful night of music and fun—don’t miss it if you get the chance!
The Adele tribute is phenomenal!!!!! 😍❤️👏🏽👏🏽 Gloria Fiona is B-E-A-utiful. 🫶🏽✨ If you're an ADELE fan, this is a must-do. You will cry your eyes out and sol (sing out loud) the entire show. 🎶😍 Act 2 is a wonderful theater, and the best part is the fresh made popcorn 🍿🍿🍿🍿, as soon as you walk in there, you're greeted by the smell of popcorn and the sound of the piano, so magical! 💕🎶
A superb place for live entertainment. I went to watch Alexis Mateo's drag show and was quite blown away. The theatre is small, allowing the performers to connect with the audience personally. Be warned that there may be a minimum number of drinks required for certain shows. I didn't mind because the drinks were great and a good accompaniment to the performance. If you're in Puerto Vallarta, definitely watch a show here, it'll be well worth the visit.
I saw Ann last night 💃🏼⭐️what a treat. She’s a great storyteller & singer. Coincidentally it was Elizabeth Taylor’s birthday yesterday making it even more special. You could feel her spirit 💜 Maybe you thought you knew everything about Liz? Not! I felt I got to see another side of Taylor through Ann’s young eyes! Was moving, funny and many surprises. Don’t miss it! Nice little theater 🎭 The lounge is also gorgeous and had a wonderful Sax 🎷 and piano duo . Just incredible and one of my faves “ Bésame Mucho “ I had the Green Iguana 🦎 Martini delish! A table of complementary charcuterie was a nice touch, I enjoyed 💃🏼The service and host were top notch! I can’t believe I hadn’t been before! Just go..
I can’t stop raving about Act 2! Their authentic cabaret vibe is pure magic!! ✨ Inside every moment feels alive. Just last Monday I experienced GLORIA FIONA UNPLUGGED, and let me tell you, it was breathtaking!!! 😮🤩 Gloria’s raw emotion, storytelling and powerful vocals are unforgettable. She is something special, her show is on every Monday at 7pm. If you’re craving a night of heartfelt, live music, don’t miss this masterpiece, it’s a performance that truly touches the heart.😌👌🏽🫶🏽
Intimate and colorful experience with in your face singers and dancers. Very fun and talented show, would recommend. Drinks were served promptly and results were flowing, and the crowd was enjoying the show. Very excited for this summer’s shows. One stand our talent was an artist by the name of Bigi. She has a phenomenal voice, and was very in tune with the crowd as she sang a gorgeous ballad by Whitney Houston. She is one of the most talented singers ever! Can’t wait to see her upcoming shows.

Great spot to snorkel, many different types of animals, beautiful waters.
This is an absolutely stunning spot to go snorkeling! I highly recommend doing so through a local - he can be found on Airbnb through Experiences - it's called "The Arches." You can also locate him by his Instagram handle - adrenalyn_junkies - 10/10!
We arrived as part of a boat cruise. Only got to experience the snorkeling for about 15 minutes. What we did see was several school of fish although the water was a bit murky. We never went on land.
We took a small boat tour out to the arches Very stunning to see up close and to enter into one of the arches Good snorkeling and paddle board area but I find the water too murky for good snorkeling The east side of the country (in the Caribbean off Yucatan especially by Puerto Morales) it much better both for clear water and amazing sea life in the barrier reefs Still better to take a boat ride around Los Arcoles than trying to see them from the observation point along the highway.
I don't have pictures but you have to do this trip it is worth every moment in time

Cool place to walk around with lots of treasures at the many shops where Iguanas and cats roam free
Next on our walking tour was the Cuale River and the Cuale River Island, also known as the Island of Cats. Cat Island is another name for Isla Cuale, which is located at the mouth of the Cuale River in Puerto Vallarta's Old Town. This is a quiet and peaceful area in the south part of Puerto Vallarta’s downtown area, near the Malecon, and described by the tour guide as an “enchanting island oasis”. The warm climate and lack of predators on the island has led to a large population of gentled feral cats relaxing in the gardens and around the restaurants and shops. There is a cultural center, and a craft market, and street art in this area. Get to Cat Island by walking along the Malecon south to the bridge over the Rio Cuale. There are stairways leading down to the island, as well as two hanging bridges, La Iguana Bridge and Puente Rio Cuale. Some other names for this unique area of Puerto Vallarta include Isla Rio Cuale, Isla del Rio Cuale, Cuale River Island, and The Island of Cats. I enjoyed this peaceful quiet park, but I did not see any cats. There were also some big trees with iguanas sunning themselves. This one is good-sized. Like the cats, they are protected. This sign thanks the Puerto Vallarta Botanical Garden for its contribution to the garden plants. There was also an opportunity to shop.
Isla Cuale is a small lush island in the middle of the Cuale River located near where the river flows into Banderas Bay. It has several colorful shops selling a wide variety of handcrafted Mexican merchandise much of which is made by local artisans . There are several restaurants and places to get a cold beverage. The large tropical trees provide shade and there are several benches to sit and relax. There are public restrooms and the walking path is paved and easy to navigate. It is a pleasant spot to casually stroll and shop while taking in the scenery. It is about a ten-twelve minute cab ride from the cruise terminal and gives you a chance to see portions of downtown Puerto Vallarta and ride on the bumpy cobblestone roads. It’s a quiet relaxing spot and well worth a visit. The merchandise runs the from the low quality to wonderful crafted high quality goods. It is a real treat for the eyes. Bargaining is recommended. While there wander along the Malecón and enjoy views of the bay and the many statues. Don’t miss this enjoyable experience.
Very nice island in the middle of the Malecon to walk around. Full of restaurants, souvenirs stores and nice environment surrounded by nature. Totally recommended 😃👌
Located South of El Malecón Puerto Vallarta's Isla Río Cuale is home to several street vendors and a sizable park full of natural flowers, paths, birds and animals. Bring cash for souvenirs both handmade and commercial, arrive early to miss crowds and midday heat.

Great dinner and Fabulous views and service. The shrimp and passion fruit salsa were wonderful. The duck was good but the skin wasn’t rendered or crispy and it was a little over, ordered medium but there was no pink at all, still tender enough and the red wine reduction was delicious.
This spot at the top of the lighthouse offers stunning views of the marina, making it a unique experience, especially when riding the old glass-walled elevator that showcases the scenery. The view is impressive from nearly every angle, and there’s plenty of attentive staff. I only tried breakfast, which unfortunately fell short with its rushed, unprofessional presentation and average taste. However, the bar looked inviting, and I imagine it could be a fun spot to enjoy the view, especially with the live music they occasionally offer.
This restaurant is located in a restored lighthouse building - an unusual and memorable spot with a full 360-degree view. The atmosphere is calm and pleasant. The evening we visited, a rainbow appeared after the rain - and we could see our sailboat below, under the arch of light. Truly beautiful. The food was tasty, and the cocktails were served with great attention to detail. The place is not cheap, but the view makes it worth it. You definitely need to book a table in advance - it gets busy, especially around sunset. There were a few downsides. Our reservation was lost - though luckily, they found us another table. Also, the staff didn’t seem to pay much attention to the condition of the table. Cocktails were placed directly on paper napkins instead of proper coasters. With cold drinks, condensation quickly soaked the napkins - glasses stuck, napkins tore, and it all became a bit messy. It’s something they could easily fix.
We tried the Caribbean lobster bisque, which was heavy and lacked depth. The shrimp skewers with pineapple and passion fruit salsa were excellent — the highlight of the meal. The Wagyu ribeye was tender and well-seasoned, great for sharing. The fire show was a fun touch. Sides like the mashed potatoes could use more flavor. El Faro is one of the older restaurants in Marina Vallarta with incredible panoramic views of the marina and city. Be aware there are a few stairs to climb before reaching the elevator. Overall, decent experience with standout views, though the food was mixed.
My best friend and I had dinner here and let me tell you it was absolutely an amazing culinary experience as we are both Chefs from the US and we come to PV for the culture/culinary experiences! From the Beginning the staff was very nice and attentive, I had originally reserved a 6:30 pm table but we arrived an hr or so early but they sat us immediately anyway! We walked thru the gallery in the bottom of the light house so elegantly decorated and the host served us cold wet towels! So hot here so that was welcomed! We then took the elevator up to the restaurant and its glass on the side facing the ocean! Beautiful views from the elevator ride! Get to the restaurant and trust me the views were amazing! Let’s get to the food! Table side Guacamole was awesome entertainment and delicious! Flavors were so fresh! Then we ordered El Faro Mary Tierra Sampler ! Seafood was seasoned perfectly! Let me tell you the shrimp was fire! And as big as my hand! The Chorizo had to be made in house because I have never had it that well seasoned before. we had Lobster and it was buttery soft and lightly seasoned with garlic! Also had the filet Mignon , now here is where I was a little disappointed! If I had ate the fillet before the other proteins it may have made a difference, but after eating the well seasoned before proteins before it , I felt it needed more seasoning! My friend liked it ! Drinks where on point! And again the views was beautiful! We will be back for lunch before our trip ends! Definitely recommend!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you’re visiting Puerto Vallarta, you must stop by the restaurant at El Faro in the Marina! The view is absolutely stunning, but what really made our experience unforgettable was the incredible service. Captain Esteban Dávila went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect, welcoming us warmly and making us feel at home. Our waiter, Rosendo, delivered impeccable service—attentive, professional, and always with a smile. Together, they created one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. The combination of breathtaking scenery, delicious food, and outstanding service makes this place a true gem. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy Puerto Vallarta at its finest! 🌅🍷✨
We really enjoyed our experience here and loved the amazing view up above the marina and looking over the boat Harbor and the ocean and the city. The food was really good and our group enjoyed several different dishes, including the ribeye, filet mignon and a few seafood dishes. The check-in and concierge was a little clunky and getting up to the restaurant through the lobby. Had us a little concerned because it’s not in great repair and could use an upgrade. The restaurant itself was nice and the views are fabulous. The service was very good, but sometimes we were left waiting for long periods even though it was a little slow. But they were friendly and we enjoyed our overall experience
Great concept, well executed. You’re dining at the top of a lighthouse with 360 views. Breakfast was was great, staff attentive. I also noticed a full bar open at 9am FWIW.

Amazing collection of traditional Mexico art!
We have visited this gallery over several years when ever we are in PV. Enjoy talking to the owners. This year we bought handcrafted silver earrings (present for my anniversary.) They are beautiful and unique. I get compliments from strangers about my earrings! We will be back.
This is a beautiful gallery that supports indigenous artists, and it’s run by the loveliest two people. You will be delighted by their carefully curated selection of fine art, and by their fair and reasonable pricing.
Hand selected pieces from all over Mexico! Simply the best of the best in my opinion.
Amazing upscale one-of-a-kind, art gallery quality

This art gallery has an amazing collection of sculptures and paintings, an absolute must see if you’re in Puerto Vallarta. Not only is the collection breathtaking, but the building itself is a work of art, and includes two great restaurants, a rooftop patio and an inner courtyard with beautiful plants cascading from the roof. As an art lover, I was so moved by this collection it brought tears to my eyes. Viewing is free, and the gracious owner is very willing to answer questions and chat. This was the highlight of my two week vacation in Mexico, which is saying a lot given how much we did here.
This was my first trip to Puerto Vallarta, and I was delighted to discover this wonderful gallery located directly below a fantastic restaurant, Di Vino Dante. There are many artists represented by this gallery that create work in mixed mediums. My friends and I stopped downstairs after dinner at the restaurant on the second floor, and we were happy to meet some of the artists who created the work. It was our good fortune that they had a special show that day, which made for a memorable experience in Mexico.
Located in the center of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, Galleria Dante is an absolute must-see for art lovers. This exceptional gallery boasts a stunning array of sculptures and paintings. The artwork itself is mesmerizing, and the gallery building is a masterpiece in its own right, featuring two excellent restaurants, a rooftop terrace, and a serene inner courtyard filled with beautiful cascading plants. As passionate art enthusiasts, we were deeply moved by the collection. Admission is free, and photography and filming are allowed. Our visit to Galleria Dante was undoubtedly the highlight of our two-week stay in Puerto Vallarta. We highly recommend it!
A really REALLY pretty gallery; my mom and I enjoyed our visit a lot! There's a fair bit of unique artists, each with their own distinct artstyle. When i asked a question about one of the pieces that caught my eye, the lady in the front was kind enough to answer it, and show me other paintings made by the same artist. The restaurant was also pretty neat, we only ordered drinks but I really enjoyed the iced tea, plus the staff were nice.
This art gallery is truly a delightful experience for art enthusiasts. It showcases a wide variety of artwork created by predominantly Mexican artists, which are available for purchase. The gallery spans multiple levels and features a spacious garden at its center, adding to the overall charm. I couldn't help but be captivated by the vibrant and stunning works of art on display here. It's worth noting that the gallery also offers the convenience of online browsing and worldwide shipping for those interested. The abundance of talent showcased in this gallery is truly inspiring, and it fuels my aspiration to one day own a remarkable piece of artwork for my personal collection.
Incredible gallery. If you are on a cruise ship and love Art, take a taxi straight here. You can spend half the day here easily! The variety of Art and Artists is the BEST in all of Puerto Vallarta. The owner was so welcoming and gracious. This is a must see.
Our favorite art gallery in Vallarta. Amazing collection of eclectic and traditional paintings and sculptures. We wandered around the rooms, gardens and courtyard calling to one another, "come see this"! The visual layout is a work of art in itself, the gallery has a small art museum ambience. Evocative, vivid and imaginative pieces throughout. Upstairs is Di Vino Dante a Wine and Tapas restaurant that is intertwined with the gallery. Artwork is rotated upstairs for enjoyment while dining providing an unrivaled event space in my opinion. We enjoyed excellent food and drinks. We will be returning. Highly recommend the gallery and the restaurant!
What an incredibly beautiful art gallery space owned by the kindest mother and daughter duo! We went to a private birthday party here one night and were blown away by the ambience and the quality of the surrealist art pieces they represent. Yummy food and drink were catered by their restaurant upstairs. Definitely worth checking out for a cozy date night or booking for your next special event. 💚

There’s so much to say about this place. But if you asked me for a quick overall opinion, I’d say—it’s an amazing place to stay. Why? Because we chose the all-inclusive option, and honestly, it made everything so convenient. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all included—we didn’t have to pay anything extra. The food was delicious, and the service from the staff was top-notch. Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. In that sense, I’d say the experience was excellent. But here’s the flip side: As great as all-inclusive is, it can also keep you from experiencing the real culture of Mexico. When everything is right there at the hotel, you might not feel the need to explore the city, meet local people, or taste authentic street food. It’s easy to miss out on the rich culture, vibrant energy, and real beauty of Mexico beyond the resort walls. So, while I loved the comfort, I also wish I had spent more time getting to know the place and its people. As I think more, I'll update it.
The luxurious suites have an amazing view and the food is excellent! The staff is very friendly and helpful, and there are activities to do every day. Our hiking guide, Rodrigo, who is also the pool concierge, was very attentive and helpful to us during our stay, as he went above and beyond to provide excellent service! 5/5 would recommend!
Had a great experience staying at the resort. My favorite part was that is was super independent lodging. There were not too many staff scattered about so it didn't feel like you were constantly being monitored. Definitely recommend avoiding the in house restaurants. Very expensive for avg meals. The ambiance and decor were beautiful but portion and quality of the food was avg. Room service meals were much more affordable. Love that there was a Starbucks on the grounds and love the complementary drinks available in the common spaces.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Garza Blanca in Puerto Vallarta with my family, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The resort is exceptionally family-friendly, offering a welcoming atmosphere that made our vacation both relaxing and fun. What truly made our stay outstanding was the impeccable service provided by Omar, our poolside server. Omar's dedication and professionalism were the highlights of our week. He went above and beyond to ensure that our family, especially our toddler, was well taken care of. Not only did he remember our favorite drinks, but he also delighted our little one with a variety of delicious popsicles, making pool time even more enjoyable. Omar’s hard work, warm demeanor, and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. His outstanding service added a special touch to our vacation, and we are incredibly grateful for his efforts. If you’re planning a family trip to Puerto Vallarta, I highly recommend Garza Blanca—and be sure to look out for Omar by the pool. He’ll make your stay truly exceptional
I stayed at Garza Blanca Preserve Resort & Spa in puerto vallarta – All Inclusive from October 4–6, 2025. I chose this resort expecting world-class service and a relaxing start to our family vacation — but what happened during check-in was completely opposite to that. Right after we arrived, the concierge named G***** began explaining restaurant options and resort amenities, which was fine at first. Then, unexpectedly, she shifted to promoting what sounded like a timeshare-style sales presentation, insisting that our family must attend a “special breakfast session.” When I politely declined, she claimed that our reservation was made under a special Expedia promotional rate that required attendance at that event. That statement was completely false. Our booking was through Trip.com, with no such condition or promotion. When I showed her my booking confirmation, she reluctantly admitted it “might be an error,” but immediately ended the conversation and told us to handle dinner reservations by ourselves. It was an incredibly uncomfortable and unprofessional experience, especially right after arrival. We went to the front desk, but they seemed unsure what to do. Thankfully, another concierge named J****** later helped us kindly and resolved our dinner booking. The issue is not a minor misunderstanding — it’s about trust and integrity. Pressuring guests with false information about their booking is deceptive and completely unacceptable at a resort that promotes itself as luxury. To make matters worse, the management’s follow-up was a generic “thank-you” email, without any mention of the complaint, apology, or corrective action. This left us with the impression that the resort management prefers to ignore legitimate guest concerns rather than addressing them. Still, Garza Blanca’s management never apologized or took accountability, which is truly disappointing. For a resort of this class, honesty, transparency, and guest respect should come first — not aggressive marketing tactics disguised as “concierge service.” I sincerely hope TAFER Resorts takes this feedback seriously and ensures that future guests are treated with honesty and professionalism.
We sat through an all day presentation. The rooms were beautiful, but you can't stay there unless you are a owner, so I can't leave a review on the stay. The greeter and closer we're very very cool. The salesman was cool at first but once we decided not to buy. We never saw him again, no goodbye, no thank you for spending 5 hours there..nothing.. Too bad.. that was the case because I don't think we would go back because of that.
The poor salesmen pitching you the Residence Club and/or to buy a unit can’t take no for an answer. Poor guys. I’d be stressed if my life depended on earning commission too… The interior design of Hotel Mousai is quirky at best and the furniture in the residences at Garza Plaza is quite dated. The views are lovely of course but you’ll regret wasting your time with the breakfast and presentation. You catch more flies with honey, fellas…isn’t that sales 101? OH, and let me get straight to the numbers since they won't. If you sign up that day for the Residence Club, the "incentive" is a right to use contract with equity at $45,000. If you wait a few days to think (this will upset these weak, sensitive men very much), then that drops to $30,000. So, the value clearly must really be worth a fraction of that, lol. Your down payment would range from $6k - $8k with monthly payments of $450 - $750.
I rate this overall resort/residential apartments a ZERO simply because of the pathetic aggressive sensitive salesman #3 (of course he never gave me his name but he looks like Peewee Herman) who couldn't take "no" for an answer. This man was disgustingly aggressive with his "sales pitch" and was basically no different than a beggar with a dress shirt on. The main sales guy we were assigned, Luis, was nice and professional, even salesman #2 was fine but Peewee Herman (#3) was just beyond unprofessional and horriblly aggressive when my final answer was no. Don't these sales guys know that the chances of people signing up are like 10% maybe? If you work in this business be prepared to have more rejection than approvals and don't take it personal or get a different job. He literally taking personal shots at me and looking at my 11 year old daughter like a disgusting creep, this man needs to be locked up. It seems this place is doing so poorly that the salesman look like they are going to soil their pants if you say no. I hope people stop going this horrible place.
