My partner and I had a wonderful time at Vista Paraiso today! I’m an experienced rider, but my partner had never been on a horse before. Our guide, Ricardo, was amazing. Super friendly and really thoughtful about tailoring the ride to suit both of us. He made sure we each had a great time and felt comfortable the whole way. I rode Pinocchio (chestnut) and my partner rode Napoleon (white). All of the horses looked healthy, happy, and clearly very well taken care of, which was important to me. We decided to purchase the photo package. It was reasonably priced for the amount of high quality photos offered (93 total). Afterward, we did a tequila tasting with Nico, who was full of vibrant energy and super knowledgeable. We ended up buying a bottle to take home… but then completely forgot it on the lawn chairs while waiting for our ride. We didn’t realize until we were already halfway back to our drop-off point. Thankfully, our awesome driver Oscar turned around and met Nico, who had hopped on his motorcycle to bring the bottle to us near the entrance. They seriously both went above and beyond to accommodate us and we could not be more thankful. Highly recommend this place to anyone, whether you’re a seasoned rider or brand new. We had a great experience and look forward to returning again in the future.

An amazing two hour horseback ride with just my friend and myself and Ricardo. We went through a small town, beautiful jungle, and onto a beautiful beach. The horses were healthy and the saddles were comfortable. Ricardo was friendly, helpful, and a great guy to spend a couple of hours with. We also did not know that the package included a photographer going ahead of us on a motorcycle to take a lot of pictures at a really great price. It ended with tequila tasting!

Pretty much the most boring tour I've ever been on. We decided to ride ATVs and book through our hotel...big mistake. Like other reviews mention, we just traveled in a line painstakingly slow through less than a scenic landscape. Definitely no puddles or jungle, not that you would be going fast enough to make a splash anyways. They take your phones and take pictures of you crawling through town in the hope to upsell pictures, and have a whole game for when you get back too. You have to wait for an hour and a half to get a shuttle back and that's when they try to get you to buy overpriced food and drinks. Their tequila tasting is ridiculous and the tequila way over priced. Also, there was no need to wait for anything as the bus was there the whole time and we were the only ones on it! I've lived in Mexico, been to many tours and this one is cringy. I hate being treated like a child and people haggling me, period. They have a lot to learn about a good tour, but I don't think that's what they care about they're making plenty of money.

My wife and I recently were there and did both the hike and horseback riding for the sunset. I would highly recommend both. The views on the hike are incredible and riding horseback on the beach at sunset can’t be beat! We requested Carlos as our guide for horseback riding after having him for our hike and he was more than we could have asked for! I would recommend asking for Carlos as he had a lot of local knowledge and was able to share more about the area. Thank you Carlos!

My hubby & I went on the zipline canopy tour. I would recommend it. The guides were knowledgeable and fun. I felt safe the whole time. The views from up there were spectacular. The property is gorgeous. I would give it 5 stars, but the check-in process and staff was a little bumpy.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing two hour sunset, horseback ride with our tour guide Carlos. First of all, there was complementary transportation from our hotel to the ranch, which was absolutely beautiful. It looks like they have a bunch of things to do there, but we just did the horseback riding. Carlos was super personable and took us through the little town, the jungle, and onto the beach. Meanwhile Nico, The photographer was taking spectacular photos of us, Which we loved so we didn’t have to worry about taking Our own photos. Overall, Great people and great experience!

Definitely the highlight of an already amazing trip. A gorgeous ranch with all sorts of wild life - exotic birds, chickens, pigs, horses, donkeys. We went horseback riding – my first time and I was very nervous. Our guide, Carlos, put me at ease and I felt very safe. The horse selection was very appropriate — he put me on the horse that they use for children and the elderly (so no riff raff) and my more experienced companions were able to ride horses with a bit more spunk ;) We went through the jungle with gorgeous mountains as the backdrop, on the beach and through town (which was my favorite). Carlos even picked some fresh mangos for us along the way. When we returned we enjoyed delicious margaritas and THE best salsa I’ve ever had. We also partook in the tequila tasting, led by Omar. There were no crowds — we were one of the only groups there. It felt like my rich uncle invited us to his rustic ranch and we just had a ball. Staff was so friendly and clean facilities. I’d give them 6 out of 5 stars.

Amazing! If you want to make your trip great to awesome, book with Sunset Sessions Mexico. We went sailing and saw tons of whales while learning about the local region and wildlife. We jumped in the ocean and had a ball. We also went on a hike to Monkey Mountain and Johnny set up a tour for us on a separate boat to theMarietta Islands. We cant wait to come back and plan to spend lots of time with Sunset Sessions on the water!

Jonny made me a surfer in just two private lessons. Let me repeat. I’d never surfed before. I did two surf lessons with Sunset and then I could paddle, stand up, and turn both ways. I could not believe my progress. It all comes down to the Sensei. 😎 Jonny, thank you for going above and beyond to instigate stoke, mentor, thoroughly assess, and provide such specific/empowering feedback. What a professional. I’ll be back to book JONNY and build on my priceless foundational skills. Thanks again, bud.

Huge thanks to Johnny!! He taught my 15yrs old daughter who was scared and unsure about surfing but after 2hrs, not only she was able to get up on the board, she was turning left and right!? She was so happy and glowing!! It was worth every penny!!

This was an AMAZING excursion! All four of us (including kids ages 10 and 14) were up surfing. We had so much fun with Johnny and his crew - they were fun, helpful, and shared great info. If you are hesitating - don’t hold back, just book. You won’t regret it!!

The stoke is real with Johnny and Sunset Sessions. He was giving a private lesson to one of the gals in our hotel and they invited me along for a boat ride to Bahía. Johnny knee When to hit it just right so we got the perfect tide and wind conditions and nobody else in the water. It was a home run well worth the fees. The value far surpassed the cost of the trip. Johnny also provides excellent instructions and assistance for beginner and more proficient surfing levels, so value keep coming like the shapely little waves we got to enjoy for ourselves for a good hour and a half before we were ready for some food and rest and relaxation back at our hotel. Can’t recommend Sunset Sessions highly enough. Would give 10 stars if it were an option.

Highly recommend! 3 friends and myself went out surfing with Christian and Jonathan since Johnny was injured and we had the best time! Johnny picked us up and showed us some sights in the way. Christian and Jonathan were excellent instructors and all 4 of us were standing up soon after getting in the water. If we’re back, we’ll definitely book them again. Such fun people and excellent teachers!

We had an awesome time on our evening beginner surf class with Jonny and his team. They accommodated us on short notice, adjusted the time of the lesson for optimal conditions, were incredibly helpful when we left an item behind, and had lots of great recommendations in the area and helped connect us to folks who provide other kinds of tours. La Lancha was the perfect place for my beginner skills, soft sandy beach and beautiful sunset. Useful tips and guidance from all the coaches!
