What an amazing experience. I highly recommend visiting while in the area. Rock paintings are estimated to be over 5000 years old. Stories are shown alongside. You can just go to the "gallery" area or the whole way up to the lookout over Arnhem Land which I recommend. Visually stunning and moving. Climbing over uneven rocks is necessary but there are some bannisters installed. Limited mobility may not make it to the very top as there is free climbing involved. Car park and toilets available.
The walking trail from the carpark is a flat easy walk. Getting up close to see the rock art involves some rough steps to access them. Amazing detail can be seen on some areas but the weather and time has faded others. Some drawings of the images are shown on signs which helps to see the shapes and locate the images. Toilets in the carpark were clean.
Lovely walk and impressive rock art. Saw a couple of Rock Wallaroos, which was very exciting. The views at the top are spectacular. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Kakadu. Not too far from Jabiru and also in the vicinity of Cahill's Crossing, which is extraordinary.
This place is full of history amazing views and art. We loved the walk through was very exciting to see the views and the awesome art there. Definitely worth the walk for sure.
A trip to Kakadu wouldn’t be complete without visiting the incredible art at Ubirr. The detail, the complexity and the range of styles was mind blowing. Keep your voices low and you’ll hear and see a great deal of wildlife too.
It was interesting but being so old the images were sometimes hard to make out. But the vista of Kakadu from above the rocky outcrops was absolutely amazing
Amazing short walk through some rock art. Not far from the carpark. The option to walk a little further to the lookout which overlooks the flood Plains.
The local art is truly evocative, just like the stunning lookout point where you can admire the sunset

This is the mineral pool location / scene in the movie Crocodile Dundee. The movie was released in Australia on April 30, 1986, and in the United States on September 26, 1986. The mineral pool scene occurs towards the end of the film, after Mick and Sue have spent some time in the Australian Outback. It's a pivotal moment in their relationship, showcasing the beauty of the Australian landscape and their growing connection.
I am writing this review because when I was researching I could not find any information about driving to gunlom in a 2wd. We went to gunlom falls today 19/8/25. In the dry. The road to gunlom has heaps of corrugations and was very dusty. We let our tyres down a little which was much better for driving. The last 11 klms the road narrows. There are some very low bridges that would be impassable in the wet in 2wd. We were in a 2wd Mercedes sprinter van and it Was very bumpy but we made it. And I would do it again. We went very slowly it took us 1hr 50 mins on way in from turn off and 1 hr 15mins on way out. The walk to the upper pools is very steep but has some rock stairs and proper stairs with hand railings. My 80 yr old mother completed the climb we took our time and it took approximately 30 minutes to climb up. It’s amazing at the top. Definitely a must see in Kakadu. There are toilets and showers at the day area and a camping area as well.
If your quick enough You can slap one on the beak and. Jump back to the bridge.
The road in was very corrugated in parts

Huge thank you to the lovely lady working Sunday 17 August in the morning. Was so helpful creating a doable route for us to see not only the places we had identified but others too. Wish I knew her name as she is great asset for the Visitors Centre.
The staff are very friendly and gives you great information about what and where to go for the camping, visiting or swimming. Give time to visit the Marrawuddi Gallery just tucked away behind, for great displays and information of the local culture. Well worth the half hour detour; longer if you want to use it as a break stop. The cafe is no longer there, but there’s still a filtered water dispenser (bring your own bottles) toilet facilities, tables, charging stations for laptops and mobile phones. The outdoor is peaceful and serene, for a picnic.
To be honest the visitors centre was lovely but kakadu not so lovely. Nobody tells you when buying a park pass the park is virtually closed. All roads to the waterfalls and swimmable pools inaccessable. The lookouts are impaired by smoke haze due to the burn offs. Apparently June is the month they do the burn offs. So keep away that month. I understand these things can't be helped due to damage caused by the wet season and they have to do the burn off but at least let people know what's going on when purchasing a pass. The only closure we were aware of was gunlom falls which is due to open 4th July.
The reception desk gave me documents relating to what we can do at Jabiru. The exhibits gave a further knowledge in the culture of the people around the region. The display boat was a good example of what can be built from barks of trees.
Great setting and well laid out. Nice condition to throughout given the center’s age. Staff were friendly and of course had an an intimate and personal knowledge of the Park which was excellent. The museum section was great even though it was a little tired. The library was a hit with the kids allowing them to get some respite in the A/C while having some quiet reading time
Informative, but an empty shell of what it could have been years ago. Lots of empty display rooms, broken fittings in toilets. Disappointed stay, reflected by the few travellers calling in, while we were there. Hope it's not like that all the time. The receptionist was nice, though. She offered plenty of suggested site to visit.
The visitor centre to the World renowned Kakadu National Park, was very, well, underwhelming. Very old, out dated and uncared for. Needs to be cleaned and looked after to a point where it deserves the $100 fee for a family to visit this park. It's a bit embarrassing to think international and Australians come here for there park pass. Gives out 1980's old museum type vibes. So disappointing. I hope the park gets better from here. Only up, the person at the desk was helpful and lovely.
Incredibly patient and knowledgeable staff who are fountains of knowledge. Definitely recommend coming here to get your bearings. Also delicious ice cold water 😅

Rather bouncy drive to the narrower tracks which are much nicer to drive on. Plenty of spaces. No shades. The walk was ok at first, and got significantly harder when rocks became boulders and parkouring skills come in handy. Don’t make the mistake of wearing thongs. It makes the hike a lot harder. There was no waterfall when I went in Sept so I guess I it’s just ‘Jim Jim’ no falls..
An easy dirt road to the camp grounds then 8klm of single lane 4WD track to the walking trail. Toilets located at the car park. The trail to the falls is 2klms of fairly difficult terrain. Only recommended for the fit. We'll worth the effort.
Jim Jim Falls is an iconic destination even in the dry season when there is no water. The track in from the end of the gravel road is rough but OK in a 4WD if you take it easy. The walk from the carpark to to the first viewing point is not too bad but after that it becomes progressively more demanding with big boulders to scale. The beach and swimming pool at the end are ample reward.
Great place in Kakadu. Strenuous boulder climbing walk to the falls. Totally worthwhile. What a refreshing swim and great scenery
The track in is challenging, deep corrugations, the walk, 2 km's, challenging to say the least. The swim at the pool at the end or the beach on the right was enjoyable.
A short but slightly challenging walk to the falls which is rewarded by a magnificent waterfall and a great place to swim in the plunge pool.
It's a carpark. The rock scramble in to the falls was horrific, and only for the young and fit.
The carpark did it job. The falls was easy enough to get to. Fun for all

Really happy to have found out about this mob. As with many good things, it was a recent first-hand recommendation from a couple in the camping ground at Jabiru. I was a bit down because as a solo traveller, I was having a hard time booking a sight-seeing flight for one. The couple from Gladstone were singing the praises of TSFC for their one-hour flight, Jabiru up to the gulf and back. I rang and was able to get on a flight that morning on a four-seater Cessna and it was brilliant. Sam the pilot is a great guide and extremely personal and interactive. And the floor-show was spectacular. Excellent value for money and I can't recommend them highly enough.
THE BEST VALUE. Our 1.45 hours of flying is the only way to see it all. Do yourself a favour and book a Super Scenic Flight. We saw crocs galore, wild brumbies, remote community’s, amazing views. Thank you for a great morning Issac.
Very professional pilots dealing with less than favourable conditions (lots of smoke around and quite bumpy ride) but worked out a plan that was best for the conditions we were in. Their knowledge of the area was also very good. Highly recommended these guys!
We throughly enjoyed our 7.30am scenic with Isaac today in the Cessna 210, very professional and informative 1 hour experience. Highly recommended!
We had a fantastic super scenic flight today. 1&3/4 hours. Saw so much, the pilot was informative, made us feel at ease. Was easy to book and pay for flight. Saw Kakadu, arnhem land and great views of East and south alligator rivers and region. The escarpment was breathtaking. Highly recommended it.
Today Barbara and I completed a morning flight over Kakadu with The Scenic Flight Company. For us, this flight proved to be was one of those episodes in one’s holiday experiences that stands out as one of the most unforgettable episodes ever to be encountered. Up there with a dawn balloon flight over the river Nile from a desert start to Luxor. Along with the breathtaking splendor of the Kakadu escarpments, the gorges, the billabongs, and the wetlands of East Alligator River system, there were the alligators, the brumbies, the birds – simply put, unforgettable. To our pilot, Isaac, thanks for making this flight the sheer joy that it was.
Just finished our scenic flight with pilot Brian. Such a stunning part of Australia, Brian’s commentary was informative and interesting. A great way to see the Top End! Highly recommended
Flew 10.30am on one hour flight a few days ago. Views were marvellous but pilot seemed to lack any genuine enthusiasm and engagement. More like rattling off blurb as part of his job. That was a bit disappointing.

Awesome way to see Kakadu. We only had 2 days in the national park so decided to do the 1 hour flight from Cooinda. Hamish our pilot was amazing and the flight was fantastic we got to see the woodland, rock country and wet lands. Lots of information and perfectly timed in flight songs. Highly recommend if you have limited time and want to experience Kakadu. Also got to see Crocodiles swimming in the Yellow River very cool.
What an absolute smashing day with Liam!!! Don’t get me wrong “A day in Kakadu” is an investment, but my gosh, worth absolutely every penny. From the minute of arrival into the waiting lounge, Liam, our guide and pilot made sure we were constantly informed the whole time while keeping the ball moving. The whole time the group felt as if we were in great hands and were made sure to have a spectacular time. Not only was Liam very informative he constantly made sure to go the extra mile to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. If he noticed something on the ground worth seeing he made sure everyone got a look, even if it meant doing a circle or two. This is really refreshing as it never felt like a rushed traditional tour. Thanks Liam for a great day out. For anyone thinking about it, I’d recommend the experience.
Did the 1 hour sunset flight and it was excellent value and probably my favourite thing on a more than 2 week trip. Shout out to our pilot Ethan who made sure we saw so many different things. Highly, highly recommend!!
This was the most awesome experience. To see Kakadu from the eyes of the sky is truly a blessing that we should all be humbled to access. The hour flight is the perfect time to experience the views of this Ancient Stone Country and East Alligator River. The landscape colours in late September were an impressive green, unusual for this time of dry season, as late rains brought fresh water to the wetlands. Weaving river,s sand embankments, waterbirds, stone cathedral make this flight once in a lifetime experience. Flying over Kakadu is breathtaking, a painting in the sky. The flight crew should be commended for their open commentary and genuine love for this ancient land. I loved the music too. May I suggest Solid Rock by Goanna and Paul Kelly's From Little things Big things Grow. I was heartened to see the toxic Ranger Uranium Mine in rehabilitation and handed back to the Traditional First Nation Custodians . The Mirarr People. Thousands of Australians fought for the the end of his toxic uranium mine in the heartland of this ancient and sacred land of Kakadu in the 1990s. I hope through these flights people understand how sacred and how important these lands are and continue to support sovereignty for these lands for the traditional owners and their continued protection.
Thanks Matthew for a fantastic day at Kakadu we really enjoyed the whole experience from your commentary during the flight to showing us the amazing rock art at Ubirr and driving us to the cultural experience boat ride on the East Alligator River. We enjoyed a delicious lunch and you’ve helped make memories of a lifetime.
I did the two hours scenic flight over the Kakadu national park. I had a lot of space as we were with the three of us only. As the plane is small, it can be a bit bumpy, so if you are sensitive for motion sickness, take a pill before you depart. The views are good and you have some opportunities to take photos through the windows. Lots of things are being explained during the flight. I enjoyed it!
Hamish was fantastic as a pilot. Excellent commentary, he showed respect to the local indigenous peoples, and played music to suit the situation. It was smooth and easy. The best for travel sickness sensitive people like myself.
A magnificent evening sunset flight over Kakadu. Our pilot had an encyclopedic knowledge of the area/ geology/ history. Beaut visual scenery & a competant pilot.

Absolutely loved the way the centre was done. The exhibition inside gave precious insight on Aboriginal culture and the park. Would absolutely recommend stopping there for some learning. Bathroom on site as well as a gift shop.
Close to Cooinda Lodge & Yellow Water billabong. Free entry. I had limited time & tired, so a quick look see sadly. Smaller gallery which cannot be photographed inside - though you can do so outside. Showcases artwork mainly from indigenous artists in the area. Gift shop is like an extension of the art gallery - pricey but goes back to artists. Toilets are ok. Large free parking area.
A really excellent exhibition which is located in Murumburr Country, near the lively Yellow water billabong which tells the story of the local Indigenous culture created by the Bininj/Mungguy people. As you walk through the extensive display of the exhibition, you get the story of the land the people in the ancient dreamtime. It has an equally excellent shop which has many items made by local artists at reasonable prices.
Loved this place, walking through the museum section you learn so much about the local community and their culture. Workshops are held in the mornings would recommend doing the weaving! We had Frieda teach us how to weave she was a great teacher and beautiful energy
So much information all in one place. A must visit to inform you about this area before you start exploring here. Awesome souvenir shop catering for all budgets and many authentic items for sale , not the Chinese copy. Loads of parking for cars , RVs and caravans.
Worth spending at least an hour to soak up all the exhibits. It is well done, good displays and well presented. I was here 9 years ago and hasn't changed much It could do with a revamp, but still plenty to see and read about.
Excellent display of indigenous culture and history. Worth a visit. And it's free Shop there where you can purchase indigenous artickes
Good indigenous stories and culture. We'll laid out. Air conditioned. No photos allowed

One of the most stunning places I’ve ever been in Australia. Place is just magical and there’s the chance to swim as long as you want in a clear and pristine water. The last 10km to reach the car park are a bit rough, road is 4wd only but in dry season you can probably do it with a 2wd. There’s no risk of getting bogged, instead the issue are the little bumps that can hurt the suspensions. Walk is short and can get a little slippery to reach the main pool(the one you see in the photo below) but nothing too difficult. Highlights of Kakadu and a must visit!
A very beautiful area...a bit of corrugated road to drive in...ideal place to swim, especially if "free" camping. Allow an hour or so once parked. Toilets at carpark.
Waaaaw, amazing! The road to the waterfall was very corrugated, they recommend 4wd and I agree. We did see some 2wd cars at the carpar but I guess they take it reaaaally slow. It was a bumpy ride but worth the drive, it's a magical place! The walk to the falls is short and rocky and you have to go through some water (ankledeep).
I went unprepared… it is a very long walk to the falls but it is really worth it. One way was probably 40 minutes but we had to cross through ankle deep water on a few occasions. Barramundi can be seen swimming along the river and in the plunge pool. Definitely bring water, you will need it and do cool off in the water even if you didn’t come prepared like me in normal clothes, you will be dry before you get to the car park. I don’t regret doing the hike, the scenery and the falls are beautiful. I do advise that people with mobility problems will have a lot of trouble as most of the walk can be really slippery and at times you need to use your hands to stabilise yourself. Very young children will have trouble too.
This is a great place, it is about an hour return walk and it is through water and over rocks, shoes on shoes off a bit of everything. But well worth it for a dip.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Absolutely stunning! Crystal clear water, beautiful walk in, and such a peaceful spot to swim and relax. A must-visit in Kakadu!”
Beautiful short walk - some clambering over rocks right at the end but the result is so worth it. Stunning plunge pool with waterfall (small as in dry season, but still lovely!) Croc signs all along the path as it runs alongside the creek - no signs at main plunge pool and lots already swimming so we assumed okay and lived to tell the tale!
Beautiful - clear water and a big waterfall. Supposed to be a 4wd track and while we had an Outback, the road in really wasn't too bad. Mind you this was in the end of Sep so recommend chatting to the tourist info staff for latest advice.

Loved the grassy spacious sites. Fabulous pool with poolside bar and restaurant. Great size pool too, plenty room for all. Loves the lounge chairs you could laze on around the pool. Place was good location for Cahills Crossing and surrounds.... Highly recommend. Esp for the pool happy hour after a day of exploring.
We stayed here for three nights. After reading some of the reviews was not sure what to expect, having now stayed here, I’m happy to say we had a good experience. It’s a first in first served deal (no booking for van sites) however it’s huge, and well designed with all roads in a circle around the pool and bar/bistro area. The site we chose was in the first row near the pool and was a great size with plenty of room. The he pool are was amazing with a really large pool. The bar area was great around the pool. We only went over for a drink at happy hour, but for happy hour, the drinks were very expensive.
This is a surprisingly large place with a great variety of accommodation options as it provides 200 grassed caravan sites including large unpowered camping areas. There are a range of facilities nearby including a bistro, bar and a swimming pool. It's also just minutes from the Jabiru town. We were in the camping area but able to use many of the facilities available. Lovely views of a night time.
The thing that really stood out to me and my partner, was the incredible staff and old school service and hospitality! We were stranded after car trouble and everyone went out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable stay even though they were effectively fully booked. I will be forever grateful, and will definitely be back when next in Kakadu. Thank you Aurora Lodge! : ) The lodge is also very conveniently located and fully equipped. Big variety of accommodation options for all different sorts of travellers. Great pool area and licensed bistro, BBQ stations scattered throughout the camping areas with fridges, fully equipped large kitchen in the lodge area and beautiful big shady trees.
Although we were here off peak. It would have been difficult during peak as the site were very small. Amenities were tired and not always very clean and the pool really needs the chemicals balanced properly all our children came out with puffy red eyes
A Perfect Nature Retreat with comfort! We felt completely immersed in nature while enjoying the cozy comfort of being at home. This place gave us the *camping vibe* which is a nice memory of our past life. The atmosphere was so peaceful; at night, total silence let us fall asleep to the beautiful sounds of nature, ensuring deep nights. Mornings began with five-star-worthy bagels and lattes, absolutely outstanding! And the restaurant? We enjoyed good dinners with a menu that kept us excited for every meal. If you want a serene escape where nature meets comfort, this is the place.
Customer service was amazing, the lady that served me was super helpful and friendly. Plenty of spots for a nice shaded site, unreal pool and bistro set up! Price is reasonable for the area. Would recommend and will be back!
Stayed here in our caravan for 3 nights at the end of June. I was a bit worried about the amenities as some reviews weren't great saying they were filthy. I was pleasantly surprised although old and tired they were clean. The pool area is a little run down needing a bit of a revamp and the area around the bistro and bar could do with a good pressure clean. However Al usable in a pleasant setting. Our problem was choosing a spot, we couldn't make our mind up😄🤣😂 much easier when they issue you with a site. Plenty of space to spread out. The place is a little pricey but compared to Cooinda down the road it's a bargain. Would recommend. Haven't used the bistro but will have tea there tomorrow.

Love this place to sit and watch the crocodiles. The locals fishing for Barra is also fantastic to see. Watching the turn of the tides is very interesting and watching cars crossing.
Sensational doesn't describe it enough. Fantastic display of nature at its finest. You need a parks pass (Kakadu visitor centre) which is fine but nothing else is needed. We stayed in Jabiru and drove out the 2 days, 20 minutes or so, plenty of parking, for vans as well. We were here early June last year and saw perhaps 10-12 crocks over 2 days. Told to come back Aug/Sept for the peak... WOWWWY. Counted 43 on first day, with 51 the following day. Just awesome to watch. There are more crocks as other forms of water have dried up, so they congregate here. The 2 viewing platforms are well positioned for the display. Wheelchair access no probs. Bring a hat and water. Make a day of it. 30/60 minutes before high tide with a good couple of hours afterwards. Just amazing creatures.
Awesome to see the crocs feeding - we arrived 45 mins before high tide which was perfect. Quite a few people there but nice viewing platforms with plenty of space. The upstream platform was nicer and quieter and you could sit just in front on the rocks for a better view
Very interesting place watching the crocs hunt for fish. As the tide turns so do the reptiles from one side of the crossto the other. Good viewing platforms and some phone reception.
Big car park, short, flat walk to the main viewing area. Plenty of space, decent shade, some benches to sit. Great views of all the crocs in the river on both sides of the crossing. And the occasional vehicle crossing or fisherman trying their luck!
📌Cahills Crossing @ Kamun Injdjinakka, Kakadu National Park. 📍Only a few meters from the King of the River... Yeah, we’re talking that King — the one with sharp teeth and zero chill. 🐊👑 Crazy work, right? This spot isn’t just breathtaking — it’s the only route that connects Darwin to Arnhem Land, a place rich with culture, nature, and deep respect. 🌿🌏 Arnhem Land is home to the Yolŋu people, the Traditional Owners, and entering this land isn’t as simple as showing up. ✅ A permit is required. ✅ And not just any permit — you'll need local support and a valid reason to cross. No random private visits, please — respect is key. 🙏 💡P.S. There are legit tour agencies that can help you explore this amazing region — permits, transport, and all. Worth checking out! — 🧭 Adventure meets culture. 🐊 Wildlife meets caution. 🤝 Travel meets respect.
Wonderful experience. Loads of crocodiles lined up to get the fish as the tide rises. Very impressive.
Cahill's crossing is a very interesting place to visit. We saw probably up to 20 crocodiles in close proximity, waiting for high tide. Even though it is tempting to get a closer look down the ramp, please don't as there are literally crocs meters away who are opportunistic.

I visited Twin Falls in the year 2000 with my family. Cheeky whistling kites stealing our sandwichs, the pristine fresh tropical waters to swim in and the beautiful white sands. I loved the place
Such a majestic place! The 50km dirtroad is corrugated but not too bad as Gunlom right now. The last 15-20km is a 4WD track where you go through creeks and a river crossing, that last part took us around 1,5h because we're heavy loaded and take our time. It was possible with high clearance and no snorkel. The escarpment walk was a steep incline the first 1km and the rest was going up and down a bit. It was very worth it!
Fantastic hike along the Escarpment walk to top of twin falls. 2.5ks each way. Difficult at beginning very steep but levels out to moderate to easy. Beautiful pools to swim at top.
In 2000 while on a 6 month working holiday staying at Froggshollow backpackers I went to Kakadu and climbed down the chimney to Twin Falls I was 53 and was the best experience of my life visiting all the Falls

We absolutely loved visiting Nanguluwurr art site: the walk is relatively easy, with a rocky clime for the last few hundred metres. Be sure to look above you and all along to the left when you are at the site as the artwork continues beyond the fenced area.
Best Rock art around Jabiru. Thing better than Ubir
Absolute spectacular natural art gallery. I reccomend taking your time to stroll the 1km circuit. The lookout is a short 5 minute climb so also worth it as you can see the rocks from many angles.
Driving off the main road for 2kms we arrived at a carpark, where we walked on earth formed path with stone stairs to approach the viewing platform. These artworks are a combination of old and new paintings. For me artwork was amazing and well worth preserving for future generations
It's a bit of a walk but so worth it.
It was a terrific site to visit. Lots of rock art and the path was pretty easy except for the last couple hundred metres that needed a little rock hopping from me and the Assistance Dog
Massively amazing! Beautiful art! OK for access 😁👍 thank you
Amazing walk I did about 20 years ago. Still one of the short hikes I have ever done.

I'm not posting the Art because I don't want to ruin it for you and some of it is culturally inappropriate to photograph. Awesome place. Definitely take heaps of water if you're going in the wet season.
Excellent background history of Kakadu's indigenous history & traditions as part of day tour from Darwin. Info boards give limited spiel - certainly not in detail why one artwork is not to be photographed & shared online. Visited on Sat 26/7/25 in Kakadu's even more hot & humid conditions. A Kakadu National Park's pass is needed to enter the area but included in our AAT King Tour. Toilets are located here at main parking area. The scenery along Arnhem Highway was parched & dry - populated with pandanus spiky trees & smaller native vegetation except for wreaths of wetlands that passed all too quickly. Insect repellant advisable & stay hydrated esp. at this time of year. For goodness sake, if you are on meds, skip brekkie & think foolishly that bcos you were a fit hiker 20 years ago, you can do the uphill walk - under 1 km loop it may be. Do not underestimate the toll the Kakadu heat & humidity will do to you even for a short distance. 2 options - take either the unsealed, uneven incline walk with steps to get to the first rock shelter with ancient & recent aboriginal artwork or take the flat paved route to the lower & main rock art area. An over 80s male in our group did not heed the advice & had a near collapse up at the 1st rock shelter. Timely first aid by guide & attendees revived him but overall set us back by half an hour. We then had to curtail the rest of tour stops to make up time. So please know your limits. Do give this ancient significant place the time it deserves & do the longer signposted walks if you are fit & able.✨️
Seeing the amazing rock paintings was exhilarating. While a large chunk of it is very easy to walk, there's some rocky areas to climb as well. With some amazing views
Access designed to keep paintings safe. Fabulous rock formations and spectacular location. Art relatively recent (within 1500 years, some quite modern). Spiritual place. Peregrine falcons calling nearby.
Beautiful indigenous rock art. A nice easy walk with just a few stairs (with rails). Loved hearing the stories around the arti found it a peaceful location
Amazing quality rock art. Mind blowing to be in a place the was inhabited for so long. Art trends and techniques changed with time even in ancient times! Great place for birding too. The big walk over the mountain is a must if you're up to it. Amazing country.
Nice and well prepared walk through the rock formations and finally up to the viewpoint with a stunning view. Took me about 40 minutes (including taking photos). There are different sites with Aboriginal paintings on this walk. Parts of it are also accessible by wheelchair.
Lovely bush walk and colourful cliffs and rock formations. Take plenty of cold water and sunscreen. Nice rock paintings and history.

Short walk to the hide. Very peaceful and well maintained. The short loop had wallabies - another welcome surprise! We didn’t actually see many birds but that may just have been due to when we visited. A lovely stop on the highway nonetheless.
Lovely bird watching shelter, and a nice loop walk, although no birds when we went despite it being late afternoon so a good time to see them. Did see wild pigs and wallabies which was lovely
Easy walk from carpark. The bird hide with binoculars made it easier to see the wide variety of birds. Sit quietly and enjoy the chorus of birdsong and the view over the wetlands. Apply insect repellent before you go as you are literally over the water.
Visited the bird observatory post for the wetlands, it’s very scenic and quiet. Enjoyed my visit
Great place to walk around observing the birds and wildlife. We saw plenty of Wallabies munching away as we walked the loop
Beautiful nature experience. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly
A beautiful and well-designed viewing platform makes it a very enjoyable visit. Lots of information is provided in relation to the wetlands and its inhabitants, and a few benches ensure enough time to sit down and soak it all in. The no-coin-needed binoculars are much appreciated.
This was a place we stopped for a break, on the way to Kakadu. Wonderful little stop, amazing wetlands, with a great facility to look over the wetlands. Awesome location for the avid bird watcher. Free. Has a clean drop toilet.

What an excellent way to see Kakadu. We loved it & the pilot was very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend do this to see the countryside.
We did the 45 minute flight with JD. Great flight and scenery terrible commentary. In fact the commentary was almost non existent very disappointing. I would not recommend or do again.
Great scenery, friendly pilot BUT we paid for a 60 MINUTES SCENIC FLIGHT ($650AUD) the pilot went through the safety aspects for approximately 15 min and we got 45 MINUTES OF FLIGHT. I guess if one paid for a 1/2 hr flight, you would get 15 min talking + 15 min of air time. This was NOT stated in the description of purchasing. I read previous reviews complaining of the 45 min air time for 60 min booking, I thought it was an occasional miscalculation by the pilot at the time but it seems it is a standard practice. If so, I hope NA Helicopter would state so in the description of the products, NOT " Kakadu 60 minute Helicopter Scenic Flight" I hope NA Helicopter would read & respond to my above issue so to clarify the customers' concern. REACTING TO NT HELICOPTER'S RESPONSE: There were 4 of us paying $650 each for the supposed to be 1hr flight which was cut short by the pilot's own making. It would be fair for NT HELICOPTER'S to refund the money for the time the paid service was not provided. 4 X 15 minutes would equal to an ONE HOUR flight time. We paid $650 for that. Would you agree, NT HELICOPTER'S?
Great flight with pilot George Very professional and knowledgeable Incredible scenery This is a not to be missed flight for visitors to Nitmiluk Highly recommended
Jabs was a legend - fit me in last minute for an unforgettable view of Kakadu. Highly recommend!
Just went out with Caleb in Kakadu. The experience was one you can not describe! A very magical outing with a very safe and experienced pilot! Thank you Caleb for an awesome trip over seeing Kakadu National Park. The falls were beautiful and the views were spectacular!
Went on a 1 hour flight over Kakadu. Left from Jabiru airport. Best experience ever. Pilot was exceptional & informative. Would highly recommend
This was the highlight of my trip, breathtaking absolutely amazing you will never see this part of Kakadu unless on a helicopter .. Dave the pilot was very relaxed and informative. Thanks for an amazing time felt like I was on a Nat Geo show :)
