Marijn of Motueka Tourist Information center is the best to help you explore Abel Tasman Park based on your needs and capabilities. I am traveling in New-Zealand in a wheelchair. Abel Tasman Park was on my wish list to visit. Thanks to Marijn and Abel Tasman Sailing Adventures, it was all possible for me. Marijn was so nice to go to Kaiteriteri to make sure that I could get aboard the catamaran with the beach wheelchair. Surprisingly she could join us on the sailing trip and enjoy the beautiness of Abel Tasman Park. We had an fantastic tour and day on the water. I am so happy that Marijn could enjoy also the sailing trip! A big thanks to the crew of Abel Tasman Sailing Adventures and the team of Motueka Tourist Information Center to make it all possible for disabled travelers. And special thanks and gratitude to Marijn!!!
A huge huge Thank You to Adele for being one of the nicest persons I've met in Visitor centers around the country! Tons of travel advices and recommendations were provided by her! She does her job above and beyond and it feels like you've met your friend who you haven't seen for years! Must stop by if travelling around!!!
I Forgot what the tablelands was called, the elevated shelf to the west of the arthur range was called, so I called the I-site. The worker was very very helpful! Thankyou!
Good to see my tourist tax is being used to hire staff. Closed due to no staff. No warning. Poor.
W💜W Adele - what fantastic customer service, local knowledge and helpful advice based on your lived experience in this beautiful town. Thank you so much for taking the time to explain, advise and share with us. We have had a wonderful stay in Motueka and Marahau based on your recommendations and local knowledge… what an asset you are to the tourism industry for your region. Thank you. Your outstanding customer service reignited my faith in our kiwi tourism experience. I appreciate your passion for your job thank you for sharing so sincerely. Jo and Heidi from Norway
So helpful, so friendly - thank you team
Today I found a staff member's service very disappointing. I am a local and came in to purchase a gift for overseas visitors. Yes it was busy so I put my items aside and returned 20 minutes later as the site seems unstaffed. When I returned the staff member with accent was rude when I asked to buy the items ahead of a tourist booking trips.( Lengthy exercise) Verbally said I was queue jumping and I needed to be grateful. I expressed her opinion was incorrect and out of context as I had been waiting a while to buy items. Therefore she would not complete the purchase due to rudeness. Last year I entered this site and it was expressed to me by another staff member completing my purchase how rude this person could be and yes one year on I DO AGREE. Please upskill your staff to triage your customers.
Amazing customer service! Sue was fantastically helpful and full of local knowledge... including free camping locations and the best place to grab a local ale. Trips booked include Kayak wine tours. We left iSite refreshed and feeling like we knew what we were doing. Before journeying up the Tasman coast make sure you pay this place a visit.

We ride around the coast line in Motueka nearly every day and pass this beautiful old shipwreck. It's quite a landmark and changes visually depending on the tide and the weather. Always a good view across the bay towards Nelson. Highly recommended taking a look if your in Motueka, a small town with a lot to offer
Picturesque tidal beach and historic wreck at the site of the Janie Seddon shipwreck and former Motueka wharf. Has a history panel.
Such a fascinating site! Well worth a visit to have a look. Lovely walkway by the beach as well.
Cool place to visit and snap some photos.
Old wharf with boat from past times when ships were essential for transport of goods and people. Now world famous in Motueka. Ship wreck is considered dangerous but good for photos. Tidal estuary so water level varies around boat. As you can see from photo it has rusted away. Do not go out to wreck. Very dangerous. Car parks close and picnic table. Golf club close but shops km away. Some large rocks near parking area and a new seat. Large sign to say Danger about Janie Seddon wreck. New moa sculpture in near by house. Worth a visit
I walked to here from my house. Good spot! There were some people who enjoyed kayaking. You can walk up to a little cozy space that you can see the great ocean view!!
Just the best place for a home/van made breakfast, meeting local people, find job while enjoying the view. What a wonderful place. Cheers !
The Janie Seddon was built in 1901 & served in two World Wars. It was beached near the old wharf in the 1950s. Well worth a look, it's rusting remains make for interesting photo opportunities. We were there at low tide & it's very muddy, so we didn't even attempt to get up close. Better to just view from the foreshore. No entry fees or bookings required

Small market but nice for morning coffee and fresh pastry.
Lovely little place for a coffee and brunch on a lazy Sunday morning - only missing a star because options are somewhat limited food-wise. Still definitely recommend if you're in the area!
Not the biggest market but nice for a morning spree, well priced fruits and greens, some food options and small trinkets, and super friendly locals <3
A reasonable basic market with the normal takeaway food outlets, some which are from the nearby high street. There are also the normal clothes stands and some greengrocers. Not much in the way of handicrafts with only one stand that had a few wooden products but nothing special. A basic market experience overall. Sunday, 13 November 2023. Thanks.
The "Gadu Gadu" dish at the Indonesian food shop was amazing, I really enjoy it. Nice market to visit if you are in the area and dont know what to do.
Great stalls. Great fishing supply stall for all your fishing gear. Also great food options.
Good variety of things to look at from touristy stalls to your local favourites here. One man brought his bees with him to show off his local honey. Don't worry the bees are safe. Lots of stands to get a light drink or snack. Family friendly and a good time.
Great market with fresh produce, variety of stalls, admittedly I really only go for the food carts 🫣🤣 whitebait fritters are big and tasty, the nasi lemak is to die for, pizza guy does beautiful fresh affordable pizza, love the roti trailer too, next I want to try the smoked meat cart, the rolls look amazing. Overall a great Sunday morning market, a must do if you're in Motueka

What a wonderful place! The flowers were so beautiful! I would definitely recommend stopping here if you have a chance!
A small rose garden. While blooming, it must be an adorable view. When we visited, the best times had already passed, but some roses were still lovely to look at. There are benches to relax and you can get a snack at the store near by. Parking is available right in front. If you pass by, it is a nice little spot to visit.
Secret Treat On High st Motueka is a Rose Garden of delight. Cared for by a Nelmac gardener who uses no sprays and has improved the views no end. Originally the garden was provided by the Tobacco industry (see notice ) Tobacco was the crop for Motueka. The only place in Nz where it was legally able to be grown . Learn more at the close by Museum also on High street. Noe TDC looks after it via Nelmac. Keep this contract up. The garden is wonderful now. Go and see it and enjoy the smell and look.
Very beautiful, a lot of kinds of plants and flowers.
Quiet, calm space. Beautiful flowers. Spent some time here wandering around, smelling the roses around visits to the funeral home nearby. Provided much-needed respite, thanks to those that maintain this space.
Always nice to walk thru here and see what is in flower
Just beautiful. Well-kept, fabulous variety of flowers. Just wonderful really.
Lovely and peaceful to wander around. Right on the main road but very secluded. Birds singing.
